Rainbow Dash & Pinkie Pie: Captor & Captive

Chapter 4
Saturday mid-day.
Adorkable research and beautiful confession.

As All seemed quite and at ease in the clouds above ponyville, on the ground in the village itself two mares were slowly making their way towards the house of one of the two, namely the big brain unicorn know to her friends as Twilight Sparkle. Accompanying her to her (still locked) house was none other then her white/purple fashionably friend in crime Rarity. Ever since yesterday when the two unicorns together with the rest of their friends decided to kidnap Pinkie Pie, Twilight was determined to search all her books and use all the resources available to solve their problem and give their Pink puffy friend her freedom back. Well, she would as soon as she and Rarity had the door unlocked to all her books and resources.
When they had all gone their separated ways in the early morning, Rarity had offered Twilight to stay with her and have a good sleep first to start fresh in the afternoon. Twilight had accepted the fashionita request even tough she would rather have unlocked her door immediately so she could have got started in helping her friend. Still, it wasn't that terrible to stay with Rarity, she got to stay in the guestroom which had a surprisingly comfortable soft bed, and around the middle of the day she had awoken to the sweet smell of brunch her fellow unicorn had prepared, which Twilight had eagerly devoured. And after she and Rarity had both freshen up a little, Twilight was sure that she was able to find the answer for their and Pinkie's....problem. Although unknown to the adorkable unicorn, Rarity had her own little plan set into motion from the very moment she was made aware of the meeting Twilight and Applejack had arranged for her and the others concerning their pranking cute friend.

Finally reaching Twilight's library, Rarity and she started to work on the lock using their magic together, and Twilight suddenly noticed that in the few times she saw Rarity's magic in action since the plan had started, it was..stronger then she remembered it being.
And not only that, Rarity was staying calm during the entire situation, something she found very weird since she, and to her notice Rainbow Dash, were pretty much freaking out about the consequences the entire time. Sure applejack was also staying calm pretty well, but had always been the calm one of the group in the more extreme situations. But Rarity, who was pretty much at time like this a dramatic wreck, was calm the entire time. No, not just calm, happy, like she already knew how this whole situation was going to end. Twilight only hoped it would not with them thrown into prison, but there was no going back now. She had to trust in not only her friends, but also in herself and mainly their Pink partying friend, whom Twilight hoped, would accept their offer and forgive them in the end. If not, then she at least hoped she would be bunked in a cell with someone who was dorkier then her, but that was less likely then Spike landing on a speed bike in front of her and Rarity atcurrently and picking up the purple mane unicorn to fly of together into the sunset.

"Twilight Dear?" Rarity said looking curiously towards Twilight from inside the egghead unicorn's house. "The door's already unlocked, so you can come in. Or do i need to invite you into your own home" she said while chuckling.

"Oh, ah, yeah i'm coming" Twilight quickly said coming inside her own home before her guest, she really had to stop trying to think and having guests over at the same time. "So i'm guessing we better start of right now" the bookworm said to her friend as she focused her attention to the task at hand. "I'll hit the the attitude and super speed themed books and maybe you can-"

"Twilight wait" Rarity said, interrupting her smart friend in making their schedule for the next few hours. "We need to sit down first, i want to discuss something with you if you would be willing to listen to little old me". Not giving Twilight time to respond, Rarity walked towards the table in the center and used her magic to shift two chairs as she sat on one and waited for her friend to sit in the other.
Curious, Twilight followed her friends example and sat on the chair offered to her while scooting a bit forwards to let her front legs rest on the table.

"What do you want to discuss Rarity" Twilight said while looking at her friend, who was for some strange reason chuckling a little in herself and having a dreamy look in her eye's as if she had just read an erotic romance book.

"Well darling" Rarity began. "First i want to ask you a question", and once again not waiting for an answer nor approval, the Fashionita continued. "Have you ever had a crush on someone?"

"WHAT!" Twilight yelled, almost falling out of her chair. This was definitely not the question she was expecting since the unicorn had thought that the question would probably be about the situation she and her friends were in now at the moment.

"Well, uhh.." Twilight began, blushing a little from her sudden outburst. Truth be told she never actually had time not eye's for a crush, she was always been a single minded pony ever since she had finished magic kindergarten. Her studies were her one and only priority before she came to the village were she met all her future friends, and even now that she was living here she still had not really paid any interest one something like having a crush on somepony.

"No" Twilight said plainly and honestly, "Why do you ask?"

"Well" Rarity responded. "If you did not have a had crush ever on somepony, then i guess you wouldn't notice it when somepony would have, like say, one of your best friends maybe".

"Rarity, do you have a crush on somepony?" Twilight said, not really getting were her unicorn friend was going with this.

"No dear" Rarity said chuckling a little, though she probably would have said yes if she knew the pony in question also had a crush on her. But Rarity knew it wasn't mutual and being the element of generosity, she wanted to at least see her friend happy, even if that wouldn't be with her.

"I'm actually talking about one of our other friends" Rarity continued. "Or to be precise, two of our friends."

"Who?" Twilight asked, beginning to become more curious by the minute. "Applejack, Fluttershy??"

"No darling" Rarity said chuckling again a little louder this time. "I'm talking about Pinkie Pie, the reason why were here. Although not for the reason you and the others think" the unicorn said adding another layer of mystery to the conversation.

"Pinkie?, a crush? Our Pinkie?" Twilight said thinking it over. Although she herself had never had crush on somepony, she definitely had never expected the party mare to have a crush on another pony. "Are you sure Rarity?" she asked just to be certain she wasn't being punked.

"Quite sure" the beauty responded. "In fact i do believe the only two pony's not aware of our friends crush in the entire village are in fact you and somepony else."

"Somepony else" Twilight repeated. Are you are talking about the pony Pinkie has a crush on."

"Yes Twilight Dear, and you'll never expect who" Rarity squealed, starting to become more excited of sharing this news with one of her more clueless of friends. Not wanting to wait a second longer, Rarity blurted out the name of the last pony Twilight would have ever expected to have a crush on their mare party friend. "Rainbow Dash!!" Rarity said with an overly amount of enthusiasm and a romantic look in her eyes like never before.

"Rainbow....DASH!!!" Twilight said now even more in shock then when her friend had asked the first question about Twilight ever having a crush on somepony.

"Yes, is that so hard to believe?" Rarity responded, honestly being a bit surprised by Twilight's shock but at the same time expecting a reaction like that from her adorkable friend.

"Well, yeah, a little" Twilight said after having almost all the shock out of her system. "I mean, i know they are friends like were all friends, and they prank a lot. But Dash mostly seems to be a bit irritated when Pinkie's around."

"A front of some sort i suspect" the fashion unicorn responded seeing her friend calming down a little. "Let's face it, this is Dash were talking about after all. She would rather battle three dragons at once in a fancy dress while singing a serenade then ever admit she has feelings, let alone for someone else."

"Yeah that's true" Twilight said chuckling a little because the image of Rainbow doing all those things came to life in her mind. "But still, how can you tell? And why don't they know of one another? And what does this have to do with what were doing here?" Twilight continued, asking as many questions as Pinkie on normal day but luckily not that fast.

"Alright calm down Twilight" Rarity said while smiling at the fact that her friend seemed interested in hearing her explain it to her. "First of, there are some signs from Dash's side. There very faint but there easy to spot for a romantic crazy like me. As for why they're not flying in each others arms and giving each other the okay, Dash's problem I already explained and Pinkie's problem is the reason were here."

"Yeah i know, because she's so hyperactive and super bouncing all over the place the entire time" Twilight responded. "And were here to find a way to calm her down a little, right?"

"Yes and no" Rarity replied. "You see, we are going to help Pinkie, but not by simply putting her under a spell or something. I mean seriously Twilight, did you really believe we would ever do that to a friend, to change her entirely instead of just accepting her for whom she is?"

"Well ehm" Twilight tried to respond, being lost again in the explanation that seemed easier to the unicorn across of her. "I mean, didn't we all agree with that yesterday?"

"Do you really remember it like that?" Rarity asked, giving of a naughty glint in her beautiful eye's. Her eyelashes fluttering a little.

"Actually i can't really remember anything of last afternoon except for the moment when we all agreed with kidnap Pinkie" Twilight replied to her friends question. Now that she thought about it more clearly it all seemed really foggy and she wondered if her other friends had the same problem. It seemed however that Rarity didn't have the problem Twilight had and somehow that worried the egghead.

Rarity, seeing the worried look in her friends face, quickly tried to persuade her that she truly wasn't planning anything diabolical. In fact, everything she had planned since this very moment, she was doing out of generosity for her two friends in an effort to bring them together, like they both clearly wanted. But Rarity knew she had to wait with playing all her cards until she had checked a few last minute details.

"Look Twilight" Rarity explained, giving Twilight a serious no nonsense look. "I know this is all a bit much to take in one bite, but you can believe me when i say that everything I am planning with my own 'partner in crime' will be for the benefit of those two love mares."

Seeing Rarity's serious look, Twilight was starting to become convinced that her friend maybe indeed wasn't planning anything diabolical. However the fasionita quickly continues before Twilight could interrupt her.
"But if you trust me dear, then please be patient and wait for the big finishing final when everything will be explained" the beautiful unicorn continued with a pleading tone in her voice. It was enough to drive Twilight over the edge and give her fellow Unicorn the benefit of the doubt.

"Alright Rarity. I'll try to wait for the whole finale, were we finally get to the point that you and a suppose 'other' were able to get us crazy enough to kidnap a friend in an effort to bring her and another friend closer together" the unicorn said to her friend with a smirk on her face and a little bit of sarcasm in her voice.
"But can you please at least explain what were doing here then when clearly i can't come up with the 'how' of it all?"

"Well darling" Rarity responded, giving a bit of a smirk herself. "The how will be on my part for the most of it, and I'll have to explain first to you WHY Pinkie is so hyperactive and bouncy all the time."

"We know that right" the egghead responded to her friend. "Because she's Pinkie."

"Oh Dear" Rarity responded, rubbing hear head a little from tiredness. "This is going to take longer then i expected."
