Rainbow Dash & Pinkie Pie: Captor & Captive

Chapter 5
Saturday Evening
Twilight gets it.

"So what your saying is that Pinkie, our Pinkie Pie. Is always so.....random, because she's nervous?" the voice of the purple body egghead named Twilight sparkle said while still wording if Rarity was just pulling her tail. Slowly but surely the sun had stepped aside for the moon as all shadows in equestria were gone and the good citizens of ponyville were either sleeping or doing some other friendly pony related stuff.
In the library however, Rarity had only now finished with trying to explain to Twilight the problems that housed within their Pink party friend and captive , a task that had proven tiring for the fashioning since she was clearly low on energy for discussion.

"Yes Twilight" Rarity said sighing just a little bit without her fellow unicorn noticing. "Pinkie doesn't know or doesn't have the courage to react to her feelings for Rainbow Dash, i guess we all have our own way in dealing with love." Rarity shifted a little in her seat as the chair she was sitting on the entire afternoon was now making her flank rather numb. "So if we want to help Pinkie, and ourselves. Then we have to find a way for her and Dash to be completely open and honest to each other" the purple beauty once again continued, hoping that her adorkable friend had gotten the basic idea.

"Alright, i guess that all makes sense" Twilight responded, now beginning to get the feeling she understood the situation. "So how are w-."

"Ah, ah Twilight, i already told you i would de dealing with the how for know" Rarity said interrupting her friend. "Trust me on this when i say i can handle a situation like this without your or Applejack's help" she finished with a light giggle.

"Understood" Twilight simply responded, not having the energy or the will to protest with Rarity's course of action. "So what do the rest of us do will you're of playing cupid?"

"Just be on standby the moment everything comes down, and trust me" the designer said with a slight smirk. "I'll make sure everything comes down."

Twilight, who saw the determination in Rarity's eyes, pondered about the situation for a short while before a yawn made its way out of her cute little muzzle. Seeing the smartypants unicorn yawn made Rarity giggle before she suddenly also was caught yawning, and quickly glancing at a clock on Twilights' wall gave Rarity the confirmation that it was time for her beauty sleep.

"Well Darling, I am glad i was able to have this talk with you and come to an understanding but if you'll excuse me I'm going to get some much needed sleep" the indigo mane unicorn said as she slowly made her way to the front door.

"Eh wait Rarity!" Twilight quickly said, jumping out of her chair and trotting towards her friend. "It's pretty late already and, well, Spike's still gone till at least next week and eh, if you don't mind staying that is, i would really like the company" The egghead explained while blushing a little. Sure she was alone with her assistant gone but it normally didn't bother her that much to be alone. But something about her unicorn friend and the afternoon they had spent talking about their two friends who were in love had made it that Twilight wanted Rarity to stay.

"Eh, well okay then Twilight" Rarity responded also blushing a little, but still less then her friend. "I suppose that is better then walking home in the dark" she said while turning towards Twilight and following her who had already made way towards going upstairs.
"so dear, were is you guest room?" the fashionitta asked as they approached the smart mare's bedroom.

"Guest room?" Twilight pondered aloud. "Oh eh, i don't really have a guest room, but you can sleep with me if you want, my bed's big enough" Twilight said to Rarity feeling less confident about the proposition by the minute. "O-or i can sleep on the couch if you prefer that?"

"Heavens no Twilight" Rarity immediately said after Twilight finished her sentence with a little more spunk then she intended. "Were both sleeping in the bed, I'm sure we can manage right?" And with that said Rarity gently slid under the sheaths. To tired to go do her usual ritual of preparing for bed, she simply just lied there on the one pillow waiting for her friend to join her.

Twilight of was at this point as red as Big Macintosh, shivered a little as she also slid under the covers and lied on her side facing her unicorn guest. She was making sure to have enough room between her and Rarity as to give her friend enough space, making lay at the edge of her side of the bed while far away from her comfy pillow were her friend was resting her beautiful head on.

"Twilight Dear" Rarity said yawing a little, "please come closer and take your share of the pillow so i can fall asleep with good conscious" the beauty requested with a soft and heartwarming smile.

The smart egghead fulfilled her friends request silently as she shifted her body closer to her friend and laid her head on the pillow, the two unicorns were now close enough near each other to feel the warmth of their neighbor's body. And as they both closed their eye's and slowly drifted of to sleep under the pleasant combined warmth of both their bodies, their horns lightly touched causing the two mares to form a light smile on their sleeping faces.
