Light of a Soul-Side stories

Before you read this, read Royal Guards initiation..

Trumpets roared. The blinding light greeted Soul as she stood in shock that the area. Was the exact same area as Soul's execution. The speaker, a dark blue pony with a cyan mane similiar to that of Applejack's, is disguised as a royal guard. There are three judges in the sandy area. One had a black suit with a red tie, another had a striped white suit with a bow tie, and finally, the purple unicorn Disgise.

"We came here today to see these particular recruits to- hey! I saw you before!" The girly childish voice appeared to say in front of Soul Blood and Ginka.

"You lovebirds going to try this again?"

"What do you mean again?" Blood asked the 'guard'.

"These tests just have a few tweaks here and there. Why do you want to become a part of the royal guard anyway?"

"I just need some bits." Blood replied coldly. The speaker nods and tells her that she only needs to do three tests compared to the executioner's five tests. The speaker states that the three tests rely on three attributes.

Espionage To sabotage or destroy an enemy objective.

Combat Hand to hand or with a weapon, in this case, Pegasi will have knives, Unicorns will have magic, and Earth ponies will use bare hooves, or a blade.

Ranged Any fire arms or magic used to knock out the opponent. Pegasus will have pistols with bayonents ( due to their wings), Unicorns with bullets ( Tragetory powers), and Earth ponies with assualt rifles.

"O.K. Is the stakes as high as before?"

"No! This is the Guard's Call! Not the execution from before!" Blood nods as she took her position in the line...the line of stallions continue to look at the two mare's flank.

"By the way, my name is-"

"Hello fillies," A random recruit said to the two mares. "My name is Markside" Markside was a yellow pony with wild bed black hair.

"Uh..." The both say in union.

"Allow me to saw this poem I wrote as a tribute to both of you."

"No thanks I-" Blood was interrupted when Markside begun.

"In the distance was a mare,

Who look so fair.

She danced and flew, in the air.

Just shut up

And in my mind she was everywhere...

Us fitting like an entertained glove.

I hope you will be my only love."

" That, my love, was a poetic description of my love, for you"

"I-I don't know what to say" Soul pretended to be amazed until the speaker yelled.

"AWTHATWASSOSWEETOHMYCELESTIATHATWASTHEBESTPOEMEVER!"

Markside frowned that the speaker interrupted the orange yellow pegasus. Markside went back to the line when two more recruits try to seduce Soul.

"Hey girl! What's yo name? I think I'm in love, are you deh same? " The grape pony slurred out his message, acting like he's drunk. The other had glasses, blue coat and wings. The nerd said shyly, "Hey! Um...I would like you to mail this to a yellow orange Pegasus that is just like you so if you excuse me," and both went back to the line.

This is just ridiculous

"Alright everypony! The three tests will begin! With the judges deciding what test will go first!" The speaker went back to her post with a microphone and it screeched when she said it. EEEEEEEEEeeeeee....

"The judges say that Ranged Combat will go first! Take your pistols, assualt rifles and ammo!"

Blood reached to her 'pistol' but found that it actually was a paintballer...in a boxy pistol form. The unicorn stallions grabbed paint balls with their magic, and the Earth stallions picked up the automatic paintballers.

"On your mark!"

I didn't sign up for this

"Get set"

Soul dashed to the air where a flurry of paintballs covered the sand in a variety of colors. It reminded her of the time that Rainbow Da-

The past is the past! Nothing to do now!

After all the paintballs has stopped only two were left. Markside and Blood shot at each other on the ground. Clearly Blood had the upperhand due to her wings, and he was hesitant about hurting Blood...but.

CRACK!

A paintball hit Soul Blood in her wing.

"AND SHE IS OUT!" Markside shook hands with Blood and said that she should "Try harder".

"Next up! Combat! Don't worry about hurting ponies, I have mastered a healing spell!"

Soul pulls Disgise's knife from the edge of the area and strapped it on Soul's side.

"Free for All! Everypony for themselves!"

"On your mark!"

Everypony got on their hind legs and prepare in a circle.

"Get set!"

Shiiiinnngg. A knife was drawn after another knife after another. Sparks desperatly escaped from the unicorn stallions. The Earth ponies dug their hooves in the ground and puffed out a breath in their body.

"GO!"

Everypony battled with knives, magic and their bare hooves. One pony bucked another, another slashed the face of that Earth pony, a magic aura surrounded them and flung them towards the ground. One by one, ponies began to fall, drip by drip, blood is spilled. Slashing, throwing, kicking, charging, Blood dodged all of the attempts to hurt the mare, but was disarmed by a magic aura that threw her knife away. She flew to the knife in the air to get tackled by another pegasus. Cyan, rainbow colored mane, magenta ey-

You are but a soul in my mind! GET OUT!

The Pegasus grew white and her mane turned black and white. Her eyes poked out of their sockets and disappeared. She became skinless, bleeding with red all over, then without muscles, bones rattling and stained with a little flesh. And then, she disappeared. Every pony was dead except for two... Blood straps on her knife and gave it a little sharp edge before she turned around to see a tan pony with nothing but hooves. He charged at the pegasus with his hooves, trying to land atleast one fatal blow on her. Soul dodged to her left, right, up, and down til she stabbed the stallion on his right side, leaving him to bleed out.

"And Soul wins!" The three judges noted how she survived an all stallion massacre. A massive green fog ran through the dead ponies and removed the cuts, bruises, fractures and revived them all to their standing position.

"Hey speaker! Where's Ginka?"

"Oh him? Well he told me that he has to take care of something in Ponyvile!"

Oh yea...patrol

"Anyway, now for the final test! Espionage! Everypony has to trick all ponies! Who ever reaches 'it' in time wins!"

"On your mark! Get set! Go!"

The ponies froze...no response came from them as Soul searched high and low for 'it". Every stallion was busy watching the mare do her work. Whispers came from each stallion as they point out what they think is the best physical pony body is.

Can they stop thinking about me?

"I got it!" Blood yelled at the speaker, holding a silver cresent relic with SOU markings on it.

"That was fast! Anyways you win a prize! An-"

"It's a wood golem isn't it?"

"No silly! I got somepony new!"

A figure emerged from the shadows...It was a wood pegasus with cyan glowing eyes.

"Meet Ms. VV00D"

"V V 0 0 D?"

"Yes. VV00D. And you will have to-"

"I'm not going to fight him am I?"

"I'll explain if you let me finish," The speaker pouts." You will have to race him! All her other friends got tired and quit, so you need to race her just once! On your mark! Get set! G-"

"Wait! Where?"

"Uh...To Cloudsdale!"

Shit

"GO!"

The wood pegasus flew up at an average speed, while Soul Blood raced to Cloudsdale. From there she saw Rainbow Dash just napping on a cloud.

FOCUS!

The two went up and back from Cloudsdale, resulting in Blood's victory.

"Wow! You won against Ms. VV00D!"

"V V 0 0 D?"

"Yea! VV00D! Anyway, here's your badge so you can access your new room that you will be staying at temporarily!" The speaker throws a silver medal at Soul Blood. It had wings on it, signalling that the owner is a guard and a pegasus. The medal transported her to a place in Ponyvile. Side St. The place where Ginka had pointed to. Ginka was standing right in front of the Pegasus when she had transported. She almost fell on her flank when she saw a familiar stallion right in front of her.

"You knew, you knew that if I completed this, I would be here."

"Yes, now lets build you a house."
