Hey, the names Jon. I was just a normal person living life like every other boring individual. I was never the social type, didn't have a lot of friends, nor ever talked to my family. The only friends I had was my cousin Roy and my friends Shaun and Trey. We had great times together when we were young. I passing my classes, had a home, living like everyone else. But then came that day, the day that changed my life forever. I was sucked in to a dark hole; it happened at one late night study. I was preparing for a big test for my literature class. We had to make a story that would interest people and wanting more of it. So I started off with a hero who would save the world. "Nah, that's too cheesy." I said "I can't do that!" I yelled. I sat there stumped, wondering what I could write about. I tried my hardest to find a story, but I ended up falling asleep. I awoke to the sound of thunder as loud as if it was right next to me. I saw light coming from the floor as I kept saying to myself “it’s just a dream" constantly until I became dizzy of the amount of how much breathe I was using. I felt my body sliding closer to the vortex, I tried to run out of its suction but I was too late. The next thing I remember was total black, and then a small fire that just appeared in front of my eyes. I heard a voice saying
"Your destiny begins" it said "Who are you!?!" I said confused and scared. Then the flame died out and awoke from my nightmare.
I saw grass as I awoke bright colors of green and yellow. The sky was so blue and clear with no gas in the air. "Where am I?" I said still confused "it's so beautiful here am...am I in Heaven?” I walked through a meadow of flowers.
I saw a farm not so far away. "Thank God!" I said with enthusiasm “Maybe they have a phone or a ride to take me back home.” As I walked closer to the barn I felt different, as if I was a totally different person, much healthier, much stronger, I felt like I could take world! I then noticed a horse outside "Huh... I never had seen an orange horse before.” I stepped closer and as quietly as I could. I then started noticing how small it was to a regular horse "Good horsey." I said carefully. The "Horsey" turned around and said “Who yawl call-in horsey!". I stood there shocked in disbelief.
"Did you just talk!?!" I said in a shocked manner "Yeah, why?" The "Horsey" stated. “This is just a dream" I stated "All I got to do is just poke your nose and I’ll wake up” I then preceded to poke the "Horsey's" nose. I did it, but I didn't wake up. In fact it made it mad "SO YOU THINK YAWL CAN COME ON MY FAMLIY’S FARM AND POKE MAH NOSE!!!...HUH!?!"”I'm really sorry little horsey...thing" I said cowardly "I AIN'T NO HORSE IM A PONY AND SO ARE YOU!!" she said. "Me a pony, please I'm a person you are an animal" I said with a grin of success "Well "Person" go check" she then pointed at a barrel of water.
I walked over and creaked my head over the barrel. A drop of water disturbed the reflection until it became clear to see. I saw a pony with red fur and an orange mane. At first I thought my mind was playing tricks on me but it wasn't to begin with. I backed away with a shocked face as I did the orange pony yelled "WAIT STOP.” It was too late I backed into a bunch of barrels filled with apples falling to the ground. I turned my head at the pony. Oh she wasn't very happy with my little accident. "You little..." I quickly ran away and jumped over the fence running on a road and then saw a cabin up ahead. I saw a yellow pony flying next to a bunny that was eating a carrot. I didn't notice I pushed him making him drop his carrot. I stopped to see if I hurt him. I did but not physically, he looked at me with a death stare wanting revenge. He then jumped grabbing my ears, trying to scratch my eyes out. "No Angel STOP!" the yellow pony said with worry." GET OFF OF ME YOU WHITE RAT!" I said. I threw the bunny to a bucket of water. The yellow pony looked at me with a disturbed face. "Huh....sorry" I said cowardly as I ran. I ran past a sign that said "Welcome to Pony Ville: Happiest place in Equestria."."So much for happy" I murmured to myself. I stopped to catch my breath when I saw a sign that said market, seemed like another one of those crowded areas, the perfect place to hide from that pony.
I walked around for a good 10 minutes I was stopped by a pink pony.
"Heywhoareyouneverseenyouaroundhereareyounewyoumustbenewmyname'sPinkiehowaboutyou?"."Wait...what?" I said confused as she kept bouncing "You know, your name?" she said. "Oh umm, Jon, the name's Jon" I said. “Well pleased to meet you Jon, my name's Pinkie." she said still repeatedly bouncing "It was nice to meet you uh...Pinkie, but I got to run." I said “AWW but why? You still haven't had your party" she said while using the old puppy dog eyes "Uh umm....*sigh*.. fine will have the party but you promise to let me go right?" I said with a glare "Pinkie promise." she said putting her hoof out "Uh...yeah." I said putting my hoof out “Pinkie” promising.
"Ohboyyou'regonnaloveitherewegettoplaylotsofgamesohwaitIneedtoshowyoutooApplejackRarityFluttershyTwilightRainbowdashohtheylikeya!" she said....I think. It was a real long suffering in my opinion when your guide to a different world is a parrot, but we finally made it to where she said the party would be Sugar Cube Corner, even the name made me feel like I'd be sick by the end of this day. “Ohthisisgoingtobesomuchfunwaittillyoumeetgummy!" she continued "Wait right here, we have to wait till my friends come!” she said with a smile.
She pointed out a seat at a table for me to sit on "Uh thanks, but I really feel wrong to have a party thrown for me just for coming here." I said "Why, you'll love it here, everyone is just so happy, and caring, and faithful, and sweet, and nice" she continued for 2 minutes, I was counting every second of the suffering. "OOOOOOOOOOO my friends are here!" she said happily "Well I hope they're as nice as you (and less talky).” I watched her open the western like door and out came something I hoped to never see again. The orange pony, she took one look at me and her eyes turned red and her face scowling at me. I knew that where I'm from I was considered "screwed". "YOU, I FINALLY FOUND YOU!!" she yelled " Hehe...is it too late to say...sorry?" I said in a cowardly manner. She charged at me like a bull, I jumped out of the way in time before she was able to get me. She crashed into the table getting her head stuck in it. I tried to hide my laughter but I must have giggled pretty loud because she turned around angrier than ever. I immediately ran through the door down to the streets of Ponyville where I ran into a white pony and a blue pony walking to Sugar Cube Corner. "Oh why hello there you must be Pinkie's new friend how nice to meet you" the white pony said "Can we hurry? Applejack probably beat us there already!" the blue pony said. The orange pony appeared out of nowhere "COME BACK HERE YOU SNAKE!" she yelled "Hey it was nice meeting you girls but, I need to go goodbye!" I said with no breath left. I ran down the street and took a turn to an alley with a dead end "Oh great, I'm screwed!" I said with a gloomy look on my face. The orange pony came from the entrance of the alley way "Got you now!" she said with an evil look on her face "Look I'm really sorry for what I did back there but whatever you’re going to do make it quick." I said with an ashamed look. She was going to strike me but then she calmed down "Look sugar cube don't EVER do that again." she said boldly "Yeah I'm glad we reached an agreement if it makes it up for you I'll help clean it up." I said with a relieved look "Well it's a good thing too, I was about to really pummel you." she said in a funny way....I hope "well it's a go-". I was then hit in the back of the head my vision was fuzzy, but I heard voices "Applejack I got him!" said the blue pony "Rainbow dash why did ya do that!" said Applejack "I thought he was bad since you were chasing him, funny how scared stallions get around you." she said while laughing.
I blacked out until I saw the light again this time the voice said "Your journey begins now" and it burned out.
I opened my eyes and see a bright white light, burning my eyes. I get up and I see 5 ponies looking at me "Pinkie told us everything" Applejack said "Hehe sorry for kicking you in the back head I thought-" I cut her off "You know it's alright, I heard everything" I said "Personally I'm glad everything's calm now, but I have one question where am I!?!" I yelled "uh...in the Hospital" Applejack said with a confused face "No I mean as in where am I?" I said "OOO OOO I KNOW PICKMEPICKME!!" Pinkie said still bouncing "Um yes you Pinkie" I said "You are...in...PONYVILLE!" Pinkie said. I face palmed or in these terms face hoofed. "No I MEAN WHERE AM I!?!" I said adding more emphasis “You’re in Equestria." A voice from the door said. I saw a purple pony with wings and a horn "Who are you?" I said in a confused manner "Oh I'm sorry my name is Twilight Sparkle and it's nice to meet you Jon" she said with a smile "How do you know my name?" I said "Pinkie sent me the invitation" she said "How that was barely 2 hours ago?" I said "With magic" she said with a smile "Hahaha MAGIC, do you really think I believe that?" I said. Right as when I said that she had turned a table next to my bed into a hat "Oh...okay uhh...I guess I believe in magic now" I said. I looked over and saw that yellow pony with her bunny "Hey you..I..I'm really sorry about throwing your bunny no hard feeling right?" I said. She hid behind twilight as her bunny stomped in front of me; he jumped on my bed and slapped me "OW WHAT WAS THAT FOR!" I yelled. He pointed at a bump on the top of his head "Oh yeah sorry, I wasn't intending on hurting you" I said. He looked at me with a glare of truce but in a disliking way, he jumped off my bed and returned to the yellow pony "I..I..I'm...Fluttershy." she said in a shy way "Well you do live up to your name." I said "Well it's great to see you are making friends but I've had a question I’ve just been dying to ask. Where did you get your clothes I've never seen them before in Equestria?" she said "Wait who are you again?" I asked "Oh I'm terribly sorry dear, my name is Rarity" she answered "Well Rarity in my world this is what we call fall fashion leather coat, slims, a black shirt, and a beanie." I said
"-GASP- YOU MUST TELL ME MORE!!" she said "Maybe later but I really got to get home somehow." I said.
I looked at a clock on the wall it said 8:30 pm "Great it's getting late and I have nowhere to sleep for the night." I said stressed "Maybe we can arrange a place for you to stay, can you tell me your relatives who could be near here" said Twilight "Uh I don't know if you heard me but I'm not from this world I'm from a place called EARTH" I stated "Well how I can help" she said with a worried look "He can sleep over at my cabin." Fluttershy said "Why I thought you were scared of him?" Rainbow Dash said "You were scared of me?" I said "Well...I still am but if you want to." she said with a shy smile. I looked over and saw Angel making a face that says "Ready for round 2?" I just couldn't pass the chance to not get revenge on that Rat “Sure I'll sleep over but don't think I'm living off of you I'll help with your taxes and help you with food and chores." I said with a smile "Oh you don't have to do that" she said "No I need to, after all you're letting me stay there just until I get back on feet or uh... hooves." I said "Alrighty then now that we got rid of all the problems time to get back home, oh and don't forget to come to the barn I got work that you owe me" Applejack said "Yeah of course (Great, I'm going to be bossed around by a pony)" I said "Well you best check out I'll cover the medical bill." Twilight said "No you don't have to do that" I said "It's alright, besides you've been through a lot today It's the least we can do." she said "Well alright goodbye" I said. She then left out the door "So Fluttershy where am I going to sleep?" I said "Oh I have an extra bed just in case I have to nurse a bear or any baby animals back to health or if it’s too cold outside for my chickens, if that's okay with you?" she said "Yeah sure (Great I'm sleeping where bears throw up)".
We head to her cabin; on our way I stopped, I thought I saw something lighting in the woods. I was about to go in there until "Stop!" Fluttershy yelled "What are you doing, you can't go in the EverFree forest!" she stated "Why, what's wrong with it" I asked "Every animal takes care of its self, the weather changes by its self, and there’re dangerous creatures!" she stated "Alright I won't go in there, I just swore I saw a light in those woods." I said "Well were almost there come on....OH if that's okay with you?" she said. We approached the door and the whole time Angel didn't look at me, he just sat with his back turned on Fluttershy's back guess he's just a ladies man "um here's your bed I hope it's not too small" she said. I approached the bed and jumped on it. It was surprisingly soft and warm "Do..do you like it?." she said "Yeah its great!" I said with enthusiasm "Well it's getting late...good night." she said softly "Night, OH and thanks for letting me stay" I said in a kind way. Fluttershy then proceeded to her room as I slept in the living room. My bed was right under a window as I looked out into the night sky I saw the moon “I wonder how the guys are?” I said in a whisper. I fell asleep and had that dream again with the flame but this time it was different I saw houses, ponies running away from something whatever it was, it was burning things trees, animals, even ponies. I then became surrounded by fire and the figure flew to me, he was dark and smoky, his smile was the smile of death with sharp red hot teeth and a tongue that looked like it was just molten lava. He then struck me with fire. I....I felt the burning and as I burned I saw his eyes, it was nothing but red. I awoke with a gasp "-huff- What does this thing want?" I said in a tired manner. Fluttershy came down stairs "Are you all right? I..I heard a scream." she asked "I'm alright, just had an interesting dream that's all, just go back to bed I’ll be alright." I said. She left in worry as I lied back down on the bed and fell back to sleep.
The next morning I woke up Fluttershy was making breakfast "Yep this isn't a dream" I said "-yawn- That smells good what are making?" I asked. Fluttershy turned around to answer but she stood there shocked "What's wrong?" I asked it took her a minute to answer "Wi..wi..wi..WINGS!" she yelled "Wings?" I said. I turned my head and saw wings on my back. My expression was the same as hers.
