Prologue
Rarity was in her boutique and just watched the moon rise, she had a strange feeling that something massive was going to happen. She began to hear noises from the everfree forest and turned her attention to see several dozen Bipeds were emerging from the brush, they were shouting something when they began to throw strange objects that exploded upon impact. Rarity suddenly opened her eyes and realized she was only dreaming, she had never had a dream like this however When she heard a raspy cough from next to her closet she turned her head to see the strangest and scariest thing she had ever seen. A biped from her dream.
“Good, you’re awake.” It said, Rarity could tell it was wearing a mask, and it looked like it had a filter on the side. It’s Heavy Black trench Coat and olive drab armor made the fashonista want to faint.
“W-What are you?” Rarity asked nervously
“I am one of the many who have watched you and your friends defeat great foes, which is why I am here. To remove you from the arsenal.” The Creature said, Rarity realized what meant and leaped from her bed to the stairs. The creature gave chase, luckily rarity made it to the door and…..and slammed right into Twilight.
“Twilight! Did they come for you too!?” Rarity said almost fainting, Twilight raised an Eyebrow and shook her head.
“No Rarity I wanted to ask if you would come with the girls and I too….” Twilight stopped when a pair of red eyes appeared in the darkness of the boutique followed by another raspy cough. A figure appeared, the same Biped as before only now several other eyes appeared.
“SIEZE THEM!” the leader of the group shouted, the others began to run at the two ponies who promptly began to run as fast as their legs would carry them. Rarity began to fall behind but Twilight used magic to keep her at the same speed, the sound of boots behind them began to get closer. She felt to claw like hands clamp down on her as well as some laughter.
“Look how frightened they are.” One of the creatures said, now as twilight remembered she had wings she face hooved. “Take them away.” Twilight looked around nervously to see that Rarity had escaped. The sound of marching boots filled Twilights ears as she began to see hundreds of these Bipeds marching towards Ponyville, they carried odd metal objects and all looked identical to the others. All wore black uniforms with glowing red eyed masks, all marched in unison. Their marching was enough to wake the entire town, Twilight saw the crowd of ponies forming in front of the mayor’s office and she knew she had to escape quickly. She opened her wings and forced her captor’s hands off of her, flying as fast as she could she heard thunderous booms.
(Meanwhile in Canterlot)
“Hostile forces are advancing on Ponyville from the Everfree forest, we have yet to identify them but they appear to resemble diamond dogs.” Shining armor explained infront of a map of Equestria. “They also are wearing masks that seem to filter the air, this may be a weakness if we can remove the masks we can identify what form of creature they are.”
“No need, We knew this day would come. We brought it on ourselves.” Princess Luna said, she looked at her sister “He warned us, it was their beacon. We just thought we would have more time.”
“I thought it was an old mare’s tale, a race that had weapons so powerful it nearly destroyed itself has come to Equestria.” Celestia said defeated, Shining looked at them as if they were speaking a different language.
“Can’t the elements help us? My sister has to have a plan! We can’t just give up!” Shining shouted, twilight burst into the room panting and bleeding. She had been struck by one of the creatures weapons. “Twily!” Shining shouted, he ran over and hugged her trying to help her with his magic. He stopped when he heard a slow clapping and a raspy voice.
“Touching, absolutely touching.” They all turned to see three bipeds standing by the window.
“YOU!” Twilight shouted, the biped walked slowly towards the throne.
“Yes, yes lord Discord will enjoy this.” The Biped said ignoring the wounded Alicorn and running his finger over one of the polished tables. His uniform was brownish grey and he wore a black cap embroidered with several stars and an ‘E’ at its center. “Princess Luna, you could have prevented this, given us our place in the world. Then again I can’t blame you for being your sisters puppet.”
“Chronos I should have known you were tied up in this.” Celestia said with venom, Chronos took a pill out of his pocket and removed his mask. Quickly he popped the pill into his mouth, his face was aged but still had youth to it. His stark green eyes bore into Luna like daggers, his face was scared.
“The Enclave will end your monarchy by force if necessary, this is your final chance to give us our due.” Chronos hissed, Twilight had never seen a creature like him before. No fur explained the clothes but why the mask?
“I’d rather die!” Celestia shouted, Chronos laughed.
“That can be arranged your highness, until we meet again!” Chronos said as he tossed a metallic cylinder onto the floor. A massive blast of light blinded everyone in the room and when the princesses regained their vision Chronos and his fellows had dissapered.
“What are we going to do?” Twilight asked as she rubbed her eyes, Celestia looked at her sister.
“Fight fire with fire.” Celestia said determindly
“Are you saying we bring ‘him’ back?” Luna asked nervously, Celestia nodded.
“Ceasers Legion was no match for him, I doubt the Enclave will be any different” Celestia replied, “He is our only Chance”
“So be it” Luna said nervously looking at the ground…..
