Darkness. That's all I see. What do I remember? What can I remember? Blood. Swords. Arrows. A battlefield. That's it. I'm done for. Blinded, numb, and dead. Wait. Light. A flash of light. Two. Can this mean? What is happening? The light burns my eyes. The blood stings my soul. What happened? Bodies lay everywhere, littering the land. What had happened? Why are they dead? My vision blurs. Get a grip.... Get a grip! I catch a glimpse of something moving. No. How... How could he have survived!? Blackness curls around my sight. No. I can't fall out now. No. I can't! It swirls, my eyes now showing a distorted figure, glancing at me. It draws a sword as my vision fades out.
"Sir! Sir!" A voice rings out, distracting the King from his work.
"Yes, what is it now, Courier?" The King questions, glancing at the Courier from atop his throne.
"The southern gate has fallen." The Courier replies, "and we have lost the Green Knight, your majesty..."
The King grimaces, "We must send for help, our kingdom is the last in this dimension. If we fall," he pauses, taking a breath, "God have mercy..."
"What are we to do, your majesty?" The Courier asks worriedly, glancing around the room at the gray knights to ensure they are paying attention to what has happened.
"Send for the Blacksmith." The King explains, "Explain to him that the matter is urgent."
"Yes, your majesty." The Courier responds before turning around and swiftly stepping out of the room on the red, soft, silken carpet that portrays the middle of the throne room.
It was a long, boring day. Dull, just like the the day before today. And the day before that day. And they day before that day. The cyan figure sighs while she rests on a cloud. Nothing interesting was happening at all. She glances upward at the remains of the sunset, scattered with bits of cloud here and there. The stars are all unseen, however. First finding this odd, she continues scanning the sky above her for any signs of the vanished objects, but to no avail. Then, one flies by, leaving a small trail of a bright white hue. The shooting star makes her instantly think to make a wish. She gazes in the direction the star went, before she thinks aloud.
"I wish for something interesting to happen. An adventure. Something with action. I wish I could have fun these days. The sky is almost always clear, I just wish something adventurous would happen soon."
With that, a loud rumble came from beneath her. She peeked off the side of her cloud, looking down into the newly formed crevice. Quickly jumping backwards as lava shoots right past her cloud, she suddenly remember what Twilight had said to her only two days ago, 'Be careful for what you wish for.'
"... oh buck."
"Yes, sire?" The knight speaks through his purple-colored armor.
"I need you to do what you do best," The King begins, stepping off of his throne, along the red carpet, which was lined by lavender-colored tiles, "besides crafting weapons and armor."
The Blacksmith has a puzzled look on his face, but due to having his helmet on, the King is unaware, "And that would be...?"
The King sighs, "The supernatural, Blacksmith. You have, in the past, created everything used to travel outside of our dimension." Pleased when the Blacksmith nods, he continues, "Now, we need to put one of those things to use. The quickest one, to be precise."
The Blacksmith perks up. Finally, being able to use his advancements in technology. It had taken so long. "Where am I sending it to?"
Motioning for the Blacksmith to look through his telescope, the King points out a round object in the sky. "There. That world. We have no idea what lives there, but we are desperate at this point."
The Blacksmith nods, "I see it. Should I use the modified Hominid transporter, or the Dimensional Teleporter..?"
The King replies in a simple three-word phrase: "Whichever is fastest."
Turning and walking out of the throne room, the Blacksmith grins, finally being able to test out the Teleporter. Hopefully, it won't damage the other dimension by, oh, creating a crevice in it that inconveniently spews lava right past a cloud.
Landing inside of the crevice, the rainbow-haired pegasus closes her wings and peers around. Seeing nothing of importance, she readies herself to fly off towards the far end of the ravine. She stops when she hears a noise behind her. Thinking of the cough, she spins around, finding herself face to face with a figure standing on two hooves, and wearing a big helmet, with a purple color. It also seemed to have horns, or antlers. She couldn't tell. It glances at her, its head tilting slightly.
She takes a step back, unsure of how to treat the newcomer. It puts up what look like it's fore-hooves, only that they have joints coming out of the top of them. Like paws or claws, she thought.
"I have not come to harm anything." The figure speaks. Feeling the heat of the lava puddle only steps away, Dash stops and processes what the figure said, still in disbelief of encountering the being.
"Who-- What are you?" She questions, studying the figure's armor, shield, and what appeared to be a giant hammer.
"Where I am from, I am called the Blacksmith." The figure, Blacksmith, states.
"Where are you from?" Dash questions the Blacksmith, who chuckles softly.
"A location not too close but not too far, either." The Blacksmith replies, "One in desperate need for assistance."
Dash looks at the Blacksmith, puzzled. The Blacksmith speaks up, "Is there a chance you could take me to the leader here, if you have one...?"
Dash nods, preparing to fly, "Nothin' here is faster than these." She says, flapping her wings. With that, the Blacksmith climbs on top of her. She then takes off, faster than a speeding bullet.
