PART 1: Dream a Little Dream

Schoolhouse is our very first stop. Then let's try the ice cream shop! No way of knowing Where we'll be going. Our adventures never end. I'm so glad that you're my friend! I used to wonder what friendship could be. Until you all shared its magic with me! Big adventure! Tons of fun! A beautiful heart. Faithful and strong! Sharing kindness. It's an easy feat! Giggles and laughter filled the air of Dream Valley. Several ponies around were playing various games from volleyball to soccer. Two Pegasus Ponies flew off into the skies to retrieve special party guests. Several tables were set up with all sorts of treats and goodies, a few having bites taken out from impatient ponies that, of course, got scolded later. Sea Ponies were happily playing by the Rainbow Waterfall. A welcome sign was set up, welcoming the return of the heroes of Dream Valley.
In moments, Wind Whistler and North Star returned, Wind Whistler carrying Megan and North Star carrying Molly and Danny. The party commenced. The ponies and three humans all laughed and played together as the often did. "Megan, why are you so great?" asked Baby Surprise.
Megan giggled and winked, "It's a secret." Of course, really, her work in saving Dream Valley so often wasn't a solo job. She had the Rainbow of Light in her command, and many of the other ponies also helped. Their friendship together was unstoppable. Truly, friendship is magic.
Suddenly, the sky cracked with a lightning bolt and clouds gathered together at a rapid pace. The ponies all began to gather around in a huddle. The wind picked up, encircling them in a tornado. Acting fast, Megan releases the Rainbow of Light. It flew up and began beating at the clouds, pushing them away. The wind started to die down, but then quickly picked back up the pace. The crowd watched nervously at the struggles between the rainbow and the clouds.
"Oh, this is just utterly ridiculous. "
"Huh?" Megan looked around. "Who's there?"
Suddenly, the Rainbow of Light lost all of its color and returned to the locket. "No!!" Megan cried. "What happened!?"
A tall creature appeared from thin air. It had a serpent's body covered in fur with mix-matched parts. It had a goat head, odd horns, a Pegasus wing and a bat wing, lion's paw, an eagle's claw, a hoof, a lizard foot, and a dragon tail. "I'm Discord, God of Chaos."
"What did you do to the Rainbow of Light?! What do you want!?" shouted Megan.
A creepy crept across Discord's face as he glared at the cowardly group. "Revenge."

"GAH!" Twilight Sparkle cried out as she woke up. She just had the strangest dream. Odd ponies...hairless monkeys...Dream Valley...and the return of Discord . In a hurry, she trotted downstairs and began searching through different books. She looked up wherever she could to find out about the strange creatures (humans?) she saw, but nothing. She next tried 'Dream Valley', but still nothing. Finally, she looked up 'Rainbow of Light', and yet again nothing. She thought back and remembered the Sea Ponies. She had once visited the Sea Ponies with Seafoam. Maybe she could help! "SPIIIIKE!!"
Minutes later, Twilight Sparkle and Spike were riding a chariot driven by Royal Guards to Seafoam's Seaside Foamatorium. Upon arrival, Twilight Sparkle walked in without knocking. "Hey! Seafoam! Baelfire! You here?"
Spike yawned and stretched, "Why'd we get up so early, anyways?"
"I had a dream last night, and-"
"Oh! Twilight!" The blue-green-coated, blue/white-stripe-maned Seafoam emerged, the tall red dragon Baelfire emerging from behind. "What brings you here?"
"'sup, Spike?" Baelfire grinned, brohoofing/fistpounding Spike.
"I had this dream last night," said Twilight Sparkle. "It's difficult to explain, but I saw Sea Ponies in the dream, but in another land entirely. Any possible explanation?"
Seafoam frowned, "I don't know what you expect from me, Twilight. Ponies rarely leave Equestria as it is, so I can't really say much to that. But it's possible that there might Sea Ponies elsewhere. There is such a small Sea Pony population here, so there are likely bigger populations outside of Equestria. I've never left Equestria myself, so I can hardly say."
"Oh..." frowned Twilight Sparkle. This was the answer she wanted. "Well, thanks, anyways!"
They waved one another good bye, and Twilight Sparkle and Spike left. "Well, that was pointless," Spike rolled his eyes. "It was just a weird dream, don't worry about it."
"It means something, though. It has to," insisted Twilight Sparkle. "You were in it, and Applejack was in it...and Fluttershy was in it but she was missing her wings...and there were these weird hairless creatures, not sure what they were called...and there was Discord !
"D-Discord!?" Spike went wide-eyed. "But you encased him in stone again! He...couldn't have gotten out!"
Twilight Sparkle nodded, "That's exactly my point. I've never had a dream like this before. It HAS to mean something!"
"Hmm...try Zecora, or Scarborough!" Spike suggested. "Zecora knows a lot about...stuff, and Scarborough has been around just as long as Princess Celestia! And he personally knows Discord!"
Soon, the two set off again. They reached Zecora's hut in the Everfree Forest. "I'm sorry, but as it seems, I cannot answer these dreams."
"Are you sure?" frowned Twilight Sparkle. "It has to mean SOMETHING..."
"Hm... Well, one answer for your plight, is I may have heard of this Rainbow of Light. It is said it is a force unlike any other. Even it and the Elements of Harmony cannot be compared to one another. A force all its own, no one to control it. It fights evil itself, bit by bit. It is held within a locket like a heart, no evil able to break it apart."
"I see..." Twilight Sparkle nodded. "Thank you for your wisdom, Zecora."
Next, they checked up on Scarborough. "Can't say I've heard any of that," shrugged Scar.
Twilight drooped a bit. "Oh... Thanks anyways..."
"Hmm... Although..."
"Yes?" grinned Twilight Sparkle.
"Discord escaping..." mused Scarborough. "It's very possible. He unexplainably escaped once before. Maybe somepony freed him again."
"But how?" frowned Twilight Sparkle.
"Discord is the God of Chaos," chuckled Scarborough. "You can't easily explain anything he does. Keep your guard up is all I can say."
Twilight Sparkle and Spike slowly left the forest, Twilight Sparkle extremely disappointed. "I just know it means something, Spike... I know it... And I have to find out what."
"Hmm..." Spike mused. "Why not write a letter to the princess?" suggested Spike. "She should know at least something about!"
"Brilliant!" grinned Twilight Sparkle, hugging Spike close. "Alright, Spike, take a letter! Ahem..."

Some hours later, Twilight Sparkle was pacing back and forth through her library. "This is bad, this is bad..."
"What's wrong, Twi?" Spike asked, looking down from the stairs as he carried a stack of books.
"It's the princess," said Twilight Sparkle. "She hasn't responded yet."
"Uh, yeah, I know," glared Spike. "I'm kinda that in between guy, so I know when she replies or no-" Suddenly, Spike's face twisted up, and he burped. A letter formed.
"Finally!" grinned Twilight Sparkle, opening the letter. Meanwhile, Spike was busy picking up the books that he dropped after burping up the letter.
Dear Twilight Sparkle and friends,
I request your appearance posthaste at the castle. Something most urgent has risen, so please make your way here as soon as you are able.
Yours truly, Princess Luna
"...Luna?" blinked Twilight Sparkle. The two looked at each other wide-eyed.

"Are they gone yet?" poor Baby Lickety Split asked, Spike looking out from their hiding spot. Posey, Baby Lickety Split, Spike, Molly, and Danny had hidden inside a hollow tree, hiding from who knows what. The rain poured down heavy and the wind blew at an alarming rate
"Yeah," nodded Spike. "But they could return at any moment. Plus, the weather is horrible."
"Danny, I'm cold," whined Molly.
"Hmm..." Danny pulled off bits of the bark around them and piled them together in the center. "Spike, could you breath fire on this?"
"My pleasure!" Spike nodded, shooting a small fireball onto the bark. A fire quickly shot up and warmed the ponies, humans, and dragon quickly.
"...I'm so scared," shivered Posey. "Will...will our friends be alright...?"
"I know they will," smiled Molly, hugging Posey close. "Our ponies friends are sure to come through! We have the Rainbow of Light on our side!"
Suddenly, a loud screech could be heard. Looking out, the group gasped to see distorted, ugly, black Pegasus ponies dominating the sky, one headed straight towards them.

Dear Princess Celestia,
Something of the upmost importance has occurred. I had a dream. Not just any dream. It looked like our country, but it wasn't. It was called Dream Valley. I saw my friends, but they were different, and there were these strange, hairless monkeys. I believe they were...humans? I'm not sure what they were called. There was also this strange thing called the Rainbow of Light. Ever heard of it? Zecora says it's power can't even be compared to the Elements of Harmony. Anyways, the most important thing is: I saw Discord as well. He began reeking havoc again on this land, saying he wanted "revenge". I'm afraid it might mean something, so I request that you tell me anything you know on these subjects, if you would please be so kind.

Discord read over the letter and laughed. "Looks like your 'faithful student' is catching on, Tia." Discord laughed as he walked by a fallen, gag-bound Celestia. "Ah, well. She'll meet her fate soon enough."
"Discord," a blue goat walked up to Discord. "We've conquered another land. Unfortunately, there wasn't much to it, but we captured the counterparts of its world's 'Mane Six' with ease. They were all only Earth Ponies. Even better, there was no sign of a Spike, Celestia, or Luna counterpart. Just some old teacher and a few brats."
"Excellent work, Grogar," laughed Discord, walking by with a lion paw gently stroking Grogar's cheek. "Come. We have much work to do."

Seafoam and Baelfire (who apparently went on a magical adventure with the Mane 7 to find the Sea Ponies of G4 that YOU WILL NEVAR GET TO READ ABOUT, MWAHAHAHAHA) are owned by me on EVERYTHING. PART 2: A Whole New World
Twilight Sparkle, Spike, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie hurried up the steps and into the castle. In the throne room waited Princess Luna, as well as Princess Cadence, Prince Shining Armor, Prince Blueblood, and Curaj. "Princess Luna," said Twilight Sparkle. "What's the emergency? And where's Princess Celestia?"
"She...has been kidnapped," stated Princess Luna.
"WHAT?!" the seven cried out.
Curaj snapped, "She said, Celestia has been kidnapped! Geez, are you guys deaf?" Prince Blueblood smiled and patted him on the back to comfort him, Curaj grumbling and blushing in embarrassment.
"We are not sure how," said Princess Luna. "But she has most certainly vanished. Discord might be behind it."
"But yer Highness," Applejack spoke up. "Discord was turned ta stone!"
Princess Luna nodded, "Yes, he was. However, his stone form cannot be located nearby the Garden Maze where he was placed. My worst assumption is that something horrid may have occurred..."
"Well, what're we waiting for!?" Rainbow Dash flew up. "Let's kick some Dracone-whatever butt, Elements of Harmony-style!"
"That's the problem," spoke up Princess Cadence.
Princess Luna sighed, "Discord's presence can not be located anywhere in Equestria. Prince Blueblood sent multiple tracking waves throughout the land, but it seems he has disappeared completely...as has my sister."
"D-did they leave Equestria for another land?" Fluttershy asked nervously.
"No...I... I have sensed traces of ...some of Discord's magic... Far more powerful magic than just one of his simple teleporting spells..." muttered the princess.
"Hmm... Maybe if we all pitch in our magic together, we can find a wormhole to follow them!" suggested Twilight Sparkle.
"Oh, marvelous idea, darling," smiled Rarity.
"And what're we non-magicy ponies supposed to do?" grumbled Curaj.
"Stand back and watch the magicy ponies one-up you," Shining Armor retorted. Curaj growled while Blueblood giggled at it.
The six unicorn ponies (Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Princess Luna, Princess Cadence, Prince Shining Armor, and Prince Blueblood) gathered together and begin to charge together a magical energy, each focus centered on Princess Celestia. The energy magic grew bigger, and slowly the six backed up as they channeled the energy bigger and bigger. Suddenly, it exploded.
They were each thrown back. Princess Luna, Princess Cadence, and Prince Shining Armor managed to land safely, Prince Blueblood was safely caught by Curaj, and Twilight Sparkle and Rarity just crashed into the other five.
The group watched as the energy magic expanded and reformed. It slowly began to look like a hole. Everypony slowly approached it. "It's...a portal!" Twilight Sparkle gasped.
"Ooooooh!" 'ooo'ed Pinkie Pie.
"If my calculations are correct," said Twilight Sparkle, "this should take us to where Discord teleported to from here."
"Well? Let's go!" Rainbow Dash stated, eager to enter the portal.
"Wait," spoke Princess Luna. Everypony turned towards her. "You must realize there is a chance you might not return."
"That's a chance we'll just have to take," said Twilight Sparkle.
"Ah ain't scared a' nothin' Discord throws at us," huffed Applejack.
"Same here!" Rainbow Dash agreed.
"Me neither," nodded Rarity.
"Or me!!" Pinkie Pie jumped.
"...I'm terrified, actually..." whimpered Fluttershy.
"Bring it on!!" Spike yelled triumphantly. "...I'm actually also really scared as well..."
"...alright, but you'll need this." Princess Luna lifted a box with her magic and gave it to Twilight Sparkle. "The Elements of Harmony reside in here. When the time comes, use them wisely."
"Thank you," Twilight Sparkle nodded, taking the box.
"Twilie!" Shining Armor trotted up to Twilight Sparkle. "...be careful, sis. You don't know where that'll take you...you may end up somewhere horrible... The last thing I want is to lose you."
"I'll be fine, don't worry," smiled Twilight Sparkle, hugging her BBBFF.
Curaj flew up to Rainbow Dash. "So, uhh... Be careful and what not."
Rainbow Dash smirked and just brohoofed him.
"Let's GO!" Pinkie Pie cheered, grabbing Fluttershy and carrying her resisting form into the portal. Rarity followed, next Applejack, and then Rainbow Dash.
Twilight Sparkle looked back on the Royal Family around her. She had never felt more terrified before. What if they were jumping into something...horrific? What if they couldn't return? She was beyond scared. Soon, a pat from Spike snapped her out, making her turn and give him a smile. She didn't need to worry. Her friends would be by her side. Nothing could go wrong.
With the box safely in Spike's claws, the duo leapt into the portal. Around them, swirls of colors marked their path. The portal behind closed, but another opened before them and soon they came crashing out. When they looked up, they saw a colorful town with many ponies trotting around. They had certainly never been here before. Behind them, the portal closed. They looked over and saw the other five were in shock. "What's wrong?" asked Twilight Sparkle. Her question was answered. They were looking at a massive sign nearby. Twilight Sparkle and Spike fell into their own shock upon reading it.
"Welcome to Ponyville!"

"Hey!!"
"Let us out!!"
"Pleeaaase!!"
Six ponies trapped in a cage, named Starlight, Bright Eyes, Patch, Clover, Melody, and Sweetheart. Their cries went unheard, as the hall before their cage was barren. They soon came to realize no one was going to come, and fear slowly began to sink in fully.
"Waaaaaaah!!" bawled out Sweetheart, curling up against the wall as the reality of the situation settled in. They were trapped, kidnapped...possibly forever...
Starlight approached her and comforted her, "There, there..."
Starlight: Oooh...don't cry....
Chin up, girl. Wipe those eyes...
We'll make it to see another day, I promise.
We'll get out of here soon, I'm honest.
Sweetheart: What if we don't?
Starlight: Don't worry.
We'll get out of here in a hurry.
Believe in me, girl, we'll make it.
We'll seize the light and take it.
Melody, Bright Eyes, Patch, and Clover: Oooh...don't cry....
Chin up, girl. Wipe those eyes...
Starlight: We'll make it out to see another day.
Soon, once again, we'll all be able to laugh and play.
Sweetheart: I sure hope so... I hope your right...

"QUIET IN THERE!!" A tall, hairy gargoyle-like creature rattled the cage door, frightening all the little ponies.
"Who're you?!" Patch growled.
"I'm Scorpan," the creature growled back. "And you'd better watch yourself if you know what's good for you."
"Why did you kidnap us?" asked Bright Eyes.
Scorpan turned, "You six are necessary for our plan."
"Our? So there are more of you," frowned Clover.
"There are others around here, yes," nodded Scorpan. "Now keep quiet or else."
Scorpan head back down the hall way, he headed down a flight of stairs, down another hallway, and entered another room. Discord, Chrysallis and her Changelings, Grodar, Catrina, and Rep waited. "Well, it's about time," glared Chrysallis.
"My apologizes, Your Highness," bowed Scorpan.
"Hmph," Chrysallis turned to Discord. "What is our next plan?"
"Hmm... We must recruit Nightmare Moon," grinned Discord. "She controls the sun and the moon and she has powerful magic."
"Excellent!" cackled Catrina. "Let's get her right away!"
"Hrrmm.. One problem..." paused Discord. "Nightmare Moon was simply a corrupted form of Princess Luna... We'd either need to turn her into Nightmare Moon or release Nightmare Moon from her..."
Grodar laughed, "Really, Dissy, that'll be way too easy. We did it with Scorpan here." Scorpan chuckled and nodded in agreement.
"Heh," smirked Discord, turning away. "If you say so~ Catrina, Rep, Scorpan, I want you three to return to Dream Valley. There's a trio of witches I want you to recruit..."

The seven trotted down the streets of 'Ponyville', looking left and right at the ponies walking by. "Where the hay are we?" snapped Rainbow Dash.
"Ponyville, apparently..." frowned Twilight Sparkle. "It's so...different, though."
"Rainbow Dash!!" called out a voice. Rainbow Dash and the others were beyond startled and shocked to see another Pinkie Pie trot up to them. Her main and coat seemed inverted from Pinkie Pie's, and her cutie mark was just the same with two blue balloons and one yellow balloon. "Daffidazey wanted to see you!"
"O...okay..." stuttered Rainbow Dash. "Wh...wh-where...is she?"
Inverted Pinkie Pie just laughed, as if it was so obvious. "At her hair salon! Duuuuh! How could you of all ponies not know that?" Soon, Inverted Pinkie Pie had trotted off gleefully.
"Well, that was...uhh..." paused Twilight Sparkle.
"She looked JUST like me~!!" Pinkie Pie giggled. "She could be my twin!! Hmm, what if she IS my twin? Then that means the fun has been doubled!!! Wait, no.... Then that means one of us would have to be the evil twin! And it can't be me, I'm too good to be not good! GASP!! Girls!! Don't trust her!! She's secretly my evil twin!!!" Five of the others (Fluttershy just smiled nervously and crouched down) glared at her.
"Hold on, I shall ask for directions to the hair salon," spoke Rarity, hurrying off.
Rainbow Dash pouted a bit, "Who even said I wanted to go to some dumb salon?"
"It might give us some clues as ta where the hay we are," suggested Applejack.
"I don't care!" yelled Rainbow Dash.
"Applejack does have a pointed..." piped up Fluttershy. When Rainbow Dash glared at her, she meeped and crouched down.
"Uhh, guys..."
"They have a point, Dash," said Twilight Sparkle. "It could give us some clues as to where we are."
"Guuuys..."
"No means no!!" persisted Rainbow Dash. "I wouldn't be caught dead at a stupid hair salon!!!"
"Y'all really need ta grow up," gritted Applejack.
"Hellooo?"
"You wanna say that to my face!?" growled Rainbow Dash.
"Please, no fighting..." quivered Fluttershy.
"Grow..." glared Applejack, approaching the cyan pony. "...up."
Rainbow Dash was about to assault the cowpony, when- "HEY!! BABY DRAGON TRYING TO TALK HERE!!" The group stopped and turned to the baby, as did a few confused ponies passing by.
"What is it, Spike?" asked Twilight Sparkle.
Spike simply pointed behind himself. In the distance, they could see their Pinkie Pie skipping off. "Ah'll get her," Applejack chuckled, chasing after her.
Rarity returned, "Alright, darlings. Let us make our way to the hair salon. ...where did Pinkie Pie and Applejack go?"
"Long story," laughed Twilight Sparkle. "You got the directions?"
"Quite do," nodded Rarity, smiling with satisfaction in herself. "Say, have any of you heard of a place called Unicornia?"
"Unicornia? That's what Princess Platinum had wanted to call Equestria when she and Clover the Clever had discovered it," said Twilight Sparkle.
Rarity blinked, "But...Hearth's Warming Eve is just a silly old mare's tale...right?"
"Maybe..." frowned Twilight Sparkle. "...we'll just have to wait and see. To the hair salon!"

Pinkie Pie dashed down the road. Ponies all around smiled and waved, saying, "Hello, Pinkie Pie!"
Such foals. Such foolish foals. So sad. They called out hello so often to a pony that was more than they'd ever expect. They had no idea. If only... If only they knew that...they only knew the evil Pinkie Pi- "Oof!" She crashed into a door. Stepping inside, she found a sweets shop. "Huh?"
"Hello!" Inverted Pinkie Pie popped out. "Oh, you're- wait... You're..." The two stared at each other awkwardly. "You...look...just like..."
"EVIL TWIN!!" Pinkie Pie cried out. She leaped at Inverted Pinkie Pie, but was suddenly pulled back. "Erk!"
"Whoa there, pardner," Applejack pulled her down. "She's not yer twin. I bet yer hardly even related."
"Who...who are you?" asked Inverted Pinkie Pie.
"I'm Applejack, this is Pinkie Pie. Ah apologize fer her actions earlier," nodded Applejack.
Inverted Pinkie Pie's jaw dropped, "...impossible... MY name's Pinkie Pie..."
Applejack paused, then gulped, "Well, that's a mighty fine coincidence... We best be goin' now..."
"...you're not from here, are you?" asked Inverted Pinkie Pie.
Applejack frowned and shook her head, "It's...complicated."
"...alright," sighed Inverted Pinkie Pie.
"C'mon, Pinkie," gestured Applejack, and Inverted Pinkie Pie watched as the duo trotted off.

Princess Luna sighed as the portal closed. "Oh, I do hope that they'll be alright..."
"Hey, it's Twilie and her friends we're talking about," chuckled Shining Armor.
Princess Luna nodded, "True, but still..."
"They've defeated Discord once before already," Princess Cadence reminded. "And they saved you once."
"Don't remind me," sighed the moon princess.
Suddenly, the whole ground shook. Out of the blue, an army of Changelings appeared. "No..." Shining Armor and Princess Cadence caught their breaths.
Alongside them, Discord, Queen Chrysalis, and Grogar appeared. "Ah, dear Loony," smiled Discord. "Wonderful to see you again. It's been so long... Quite a few thousand years, no?"
"Leave," glared Princess Luna, "or else."
Queen Chrysalis chuckled, "Really, deary, you shouldn't be so hasty."
"Yeah," laughed Discord. "And really. Or else? What're you going to do, yell at us to death?"
"We're warning you..." said Shining Armor.
"You have no idea who you're messing with," growled Curaj. "We'll buck your flank eight ways to next week!"
"Little ponies, you really think it's wise to threaten us?" smirked Grogar. "We are far more powerful than any of you could ever hope to be."
"We'll see about that!" Suddenly, Curaj dashed forward at Grogar.
"Curaj, NO!!" Prince Blueblood cried out.
Suddenly, Curah was tackled to the side. A Changeling Blueblood had tackled him to the ground. "Wow, this is awkward," grunted Curaj, his wings sticking out wide. Prince Blueblood hurried towards him. A Changeling Curaj appeared before him, but he turned and bucked at it, knocking it into the Changeling Blueblood and freeing Curaj. "...you'd never actually do that, right?"
Shining Armor and Princess Cadence hurried at them, before being confronted by their own Changeling doppelgängers. Soon, the entire army of Changelings began transforming into Princess Luna, Princess Cadence, Shining Armor, Prince Blueblood, and Curaj. "Attack," grinned the Queen.
The bloodshed began. The two sides tore at each other like mad. By luck, Luna's side managed to over power the Changelings, but only them. "This bores me," yawned Discord.
Grogar nodded and charged into the fray. He easily overpowered the five, knocking at them with his horns. "Heh..." smirked Grogar as he threw Curaj into the wall.
Chrysalis assaulted Shining Armor and Princess Cadence. The duo attacked at her with their magic, but hers managed to over power theirs. They attempted to use the same love-powered magic they used once before, but the Changelings managed to halt them. "Weak...pathetic...too easy."
They fought away, the villains slowly overpowering the heroes. In the midst, Discord managed to grab hold of Princess Luna. "Pathetic," smirked Discord, snapping his fingers to cause everyone in the to disappear.
"CUTIE MARK CRUSA-"
"GIRLS, GET BACK HE-"
In an instant, they were all gone and the room was empty.
Author's Note
Chapter two. We bring in the Royal Family (plus an OC), introduce six main characters from My Little Pony Tales, and the Mane 7 (yes, MANE 7, NOT MANE 6. SPIKE IS A MANE CHARACTER, TOO. ALWAYS HAS BEEN, ALWAYS WILL. MANE 7 FTW.) take a trip to...Ponyville?
Random song is random. There's a song in, like, every episode of My Little Pony Tales, so I make one up. No music to go with it, as I'm a writer, not talented. :P
As a note, this story takes place shortly after the Crystal Empire episodes, explaining why Discord is still evil. It also means Sombra will be appearing LOL SPOILERS.
Curaj is my OC, of course. Random pointless info is he's the son of the Captain of the Royal Canterlot Guards, Pegasus Division (I believe Shining Armor leads the Unicorn Guards while Curaj's father, Lionheart, leads the Pegasus Guards. Lionheart and Curaj were both designed before Shining Armor was introduced, so hush up.). He's childhood friends with Prince Blueblood and tried to befriend Twilight Sparkle once when they were both foals, but it resulted in him almost getting her killed by a massive dragon, which also led to a big rivalry between Curaj and Shining Armor as he almost killed his little sister. Curaj also got his cutie mark as a result, a dragon's tail, which represents his unstoppable bravery in any situation. He once stole the Elements of Harmony and tried to use them to get ponies to like Blueblood more, but it resulted in him getting corrupted into a monster as a result. From shortly after Season 1 to the end of Season 2 of FiM, he stayed in Ponyville to learn lessons in friendship just as Twilight did, sending letters to Blueblood through Spike. By the Canterlot Wedding episodes, he became boyfriends with Blueblood and decided to return to Canterlot. Yeah, he's boyfriends with Prince Blueblood, so if you don't like gay stallions...sucks for you, haha. Curaj initially had a massive crush on Rainbow Dash, but I decided instead of being cliché, I'd pair him off with Prince Blueblood. Prince Blueblood will also be making several reoccurring/supporting appearances alongside Curaj, Shining Armor, and Cadence, but he has almost no lines ever, so you likely can manage the story even with him in it.

Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, Spike, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy walked into the hair salon. Everypony around them happily greeted Rainbow Dash as she entered, as if she was a common visitor. "I can't believe you jerks talked me into this..." grumbled Rainbow Dash.
"Oh, Rainbow Dash, darling!" called a pony as she approached, which they assumed to be Daffidazey as Inverted Pinkie Pie said earlier. "Oh, my, your hair..."
Rainbow Dash put a hoof to her mane. "You mean my mane? What about it?"
"It's a mess," frowned Daffidazey.
"Oh, that's what I'm always telling her, darling," chuckled Rarity.
"We must fix it, posthaste!"
Daffidazey: Gosh-a-roony, I don't mean to stare.
I'm wondering what the heck is under there,
But trust in me and soon
You'll be feelin' good...
Feelin' good!
Rarity: Working on a really dashing tail.
Trust me, we'll make the perfect pair.

It was really difficult for Twilight Sparkle and Spike to hold back their laughter, while Fluttershy just smiled sweetly. Rainbow Dash had been really, REALLY dolled up by Rarity and Daffidazey. Her mane was straightened and combed over the side, she was covered in make-up, she wore a bright pink dress with shoes and a tiara to match, and her cyan coat sheened like never before. "Oh, darling, you look marvelous," smiled Rarity, proud of their work.
Rainbow Dash grumbled, "I look stupid."
Daffidazey was beyond shocked and confused, "I'm sorry? Dear, this is something you usually ask for..."
"You've got the wrong mare," growled Rainbow Dash, kicking off her shoes and shaking her head to and fro, flicking off her tiara and 'fixing' her mane, and rubbing her face free of the make-up. She let her wings stretch out, the ponies all around giving a loud gasp. "Oh, that feels good. Haven't had these open since we got here. ...what? What're you staring at?"
"She...has wings..." Daffidazey choked out.
Rainbow Dash glared, "You didn't notice until just now?"
Rarity gave Daffidazey an odd look, "...What's wrong with that?"
"Th...They're-"
"Ah, good morning, darlings!"
Everypony turned to the door. Rainbow Dash choked, "Oh, sweet Celestia, no..."
It was Rainbow Dash. Sort of. Like the Inverted Pinkie Pie, this Rainbow Dash looked ever so slightly different. Her mane was stylized similar to how Daffidazey styled Rainbow Dash's mane. Her cutie mark was different, too, two clouds with a rainbow between rather than Rainbow Dash's cloud with a rainbow lightning bolt. Another major difference... This Rainbow Dash had no wings.
"Ah, darlings, what's the matter?" frowned wingless Rainbow Dash. Everypony was staring at her in shock. "Honestly, somebody say something."
"Who the hay are you!?" growled Rainbow Dash, stomping up to the wingless Rainbow Dash and confronting her.
Wingless Rainbow Dash frowned, "Why, darling, I'm Rainbow Dash. How interesting, you look just like me... What is your name, darling?"
"Stop saying darling!!" barked Rainbow Dash. "I am NOTHING like that."
"Rainbow Dash, honestly!" Rarity glared, grabbing Rainbow Dash with her magic and pulling her all the way back. "You are being extremely rude to somepony so innocent, and you have no right to be." She turned to wingless Rainbow Dash. "My sincerest apologizes."
"...I believe we may be in some sort of alternate universe," Twilight Sparkle whispered to Spike. "Thus...there are alternate versions of ourselves..."
"Seriously?" Spike blinked. He quickly turned to Daffidazey. "Hey... Hey! ...HEY!!"
Daffidazey was so stunned from seeing double Rainbow Dashes, it took a while to notice the baby dragon snapping his fingers. "Huh? Wha... Ye-yes , what is it?"
Spike cleared his throat and asked, "Is there a dragon anywhere around here, possibly young and named Spike?"
Daffidazey nodded, "Yes, there is. Spike is the assistant to our fair and dear Princess Wysteria."
"Princess?" Twilight Sparkle turned to Fluttershy. "That's perfect! We can meet with her and discuss what's going on, and possibly see if we can get help with all this!"
Fluttershy smiled and nodded, "Oh, yes, that'd be wonderful. Personally, I'd love to get away from all this fighting..." Fluttershy frowned as she turned back to Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and wingless Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash was eager to take down this imposter, while Rarity was having a pleasant conversation with her instead.
Suddenly, the whole ground shook.

Cages lined up by one another. Inside one were Starlight, Bright Eyes, Sweetheart, Melody, Clover, and Patch. In another were Curaj and Prince Blueblood laying by one another. In a third were Prince Shining Armor and Princess Cadence cuddling close. The three royal unicorns each had dark crystals stuck on their their horns, preventing the use of magic. "This is horrible..." sighed Curaj. "I...I don't... I think I'm...actually afraid..." Blueblood hugged Curaj close, comforting him.
"These aren't the same villains that were beaten once before," said Shining Armor. "And that odd, blue goat."
"Grogar."
"Huh?" Everypony's ears perked. None of them realized there were others kidnapped as well.
"That blue goat is called Grogar. He ruled over darkness or something, it's a long story."
"What's your name, kid?" asked Shining Armor.
"Spike."
"Heh, what a coincidence. My little sister has an assistant named Spike. He's a dragon, though."
"Huh. So am I."
"...what? ...you wouldn't happen to know...Twilight Sparkle?"
"No...but I know someone named Twilight."
As the two conversed, the six earth ponies had their own conversation to themselves. "Dragons?" said Clover. "That's stupid... Dragons aren't real..."
"This whole thing is unreal," frowned Starlight. "Those monsters that came by earlier to drop those guys off... They looked pretty real to me..."
Patch grumbled, "Whatever... It doesn't matter, we're stuck anyways."
"You know, I think we should all get acquainted with one another," Starlight called out, grabbing the attention of the others. "I'm Starlight."
"Patch."
"Melody."
"Bright Eyes."
"Clover."
"Sweetheart."
"Curaj, and with me is Blueblood."
"Hey."
"Shining Armor, and my wife Cadence."
"Hello~"
"Spike."
"Baby Lickety-Split."
"Molly."
"Danny."
An awkward silence lingered through the air. Finally, Starlight broke it, "So, Spike... You said you're a dragon?"
"I did."
"Umm...aren't dragons supposed to be, ya know...a legend? A myth?"
"Uh, no..."
"Well, uhh...I've always been told that they were... You know, like minotaurs and phoenixes..."
Another spoke up, Curaj. "Uh, all of those are real."
Now Patch. "Don't be stupid. You're all stupid. Dragons, minotaurs, and phoenixes aren't real. They're just fantasy creatures. I told a ghost story with a dragon in it once."
Curaj again. "You're stupid. They ARE real."
"You're an idiot."
Danny. "You're both idiots."
Curaj. "YOU'RE an idiot."
"You're ALL idiots. Shut up, and each of you go sit in your cage's corner." It was Cadence. "Think about what you've done now." They shut up, and shockingly did as told.
Starlight. "How did you-?"
"I'm a foalsitter. I know how to take care of little foals."
The rest of them started laughing at Cadence's remark. Patch, Curaj, and Danny simply blushed, embarrassed.

Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Spike, wingless Rainbow Dash, Daffidazey, and dozens of other ponies ran outside to watch the arrival of three witches; Hydia, Reeka, and Draggle. "Ehehe..." Hydia cackled. "So, you little ponies are... Eehehehe, this'll be so much fun."
Twilight Sparkle stepped forward, "Who're you?"
"I'm Hydia. These are Reeka and Draggle," Hydia introduced, her daughters popping up behind her. "And we're here to bring the beginning of your end." The three raised their arms high up. In a sudden downpour, rain came. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, though, so it certainly wasn't rain. It looked like sludge. And there were faces in the sludge.
Twilight Sparkle: Everypony, RUN!!
Reeka and Draggle: Something bad is coming down!
Have you heard the news?
Smooze: Listen up!
Reeka and Draggle: Get inside...
Better run and hide!
Nothing can stop the Smooze!
Smooze: You can't stop me!
Rainbow Dash: What the hay? Did the slime just...
Reeka and Draggle: See the way it slithers forth...
Spewing globs of ooze!
Smooze: I love ooze!
Hydia: Here it comes!
Reeka and Draggle: Right now!
Hydia, Reeka, and Draggle: Nothing can stop the Smooze!

Spike: Smooze... Eww...
Everypony had started climbing up as high as they could to avoid the Smooze, drowning out the various houses. By luck, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy could fly out of harms way, Rainbow Dash gripping onto the wingless Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy holding Daffidazey. Below, Twilight Sparkle formed a tight, air-packed bubble shield that protected her, Spike, and Rarity and carried them along with the Smooze.
"Nyahahahaaa!!" cackled Draggle. "Oh, this is so much fun!!"
"It is!" Reeka agreed.
"Oh, it's been far too long, my dears..." Hydia gave a wicked grin.
Twilight Sparkle managed to bounce the bubble onto a high house top that reached out of the way from the Smooze. Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, wingless Rainbow Dash, and Daffidazey were quick to join the trio.
"Wait a minute."
Hydia zoomed in close to Spike. "Whoa!!" Spike panicked. "Way too close for comfort... Eww, have you ever heard of mouth wash?"
"Get away from him!!" growled Rarity.
"...you," Hydia glared. "You were captured. I saw you in the dungeons. How did you get out?"
"...Who are you again?" Spike asked, backing up to the edge.
"Hmph." Hydia snapped her fingers, and Reeka and Draggle appeared from behind and grabbed Spike.
"Hey!!!" Spike panicked, dropping the box with the Elements of Harmony that he'd been holding this whole time into the Smooze below.
"NOOO!!" screamed Twilight Sparkle. "Let go of him right now!!!"
"Hah, nice try," laughed Hydia. "Have fun with the Smooze!"
Suddenly, in a bright flash, the three witches and Spike were gone. "No... NO!!" Twilight Sparkle ran to where they once stood on the housetop. "No...no...nonono..." Twilight Sparkle laid down on the roof, crying her eyes out. "Spike... Oh, dear Celestia..."
"Come on, Twilight! We've gotta go!" called Rainbow Dash. "We'll worry about them later!! We have to get moving NOW!!"

Soon, the caged ponies were fast asleep. Shining Armor was cuddling with Princess Cadence, Curaj was cuddling with Prince Blueblood, Molly and Danny laid against Spike and Baby Lickety Split, and the six Earth Ponies were spread out through the cage. Suddenly, the three witches game barging in, awakening them. "Here you go, twerp," cackled Hydia, tossing Spike into the cage with Spike.
"...wait, there's two of him," Draggle noticed as her mom and sister walked off. "Uhh... Oh, well."
Spike groaned as he sat up. "Stupid crazy witches... Huh?" Spike looked up to see himself but pink, Molly, Danny, and Baby Lickety Split. "...dude!! You look just like me!"
"Whoa!" grinned pink Spike. "Another baby dragon!!"
The two began holding hands and jumping around in circles. "Oh, this is so awesome!! You must be the assistant that Daffidazey told me about!"
Suddenly, pink Spike stopped. "Who?"
Spike shrugged, "Some pony that said another dragon named Spike was the assistant to a Princess Wysteria."
"I don't know anybody name Wysteria," frowned pink Spike. "But I AM Spike."
"You don't? Hmm..." Spike mused it over, before grinning wide. "Oooh, then that means there are three of me!!! Oh, this is so awesome!!"
The two Spikes resumed their skipping, the other three laughing as they watched. After they calmed down, they introduced one another. "I'm Danny. This is my sister, Molly, and that's Baby Lickety Split."
"Lickety Split?" grinned Spike. "I'm good friends with a Lickety Split back in my world! Hmm, although he's a colt instead..."
"In your world?" blinked pink Spike, confused.
"Brace yourselves," Spike sniggered. "I actually come from an alternate universe! Spike, you and I are parallels of one another! I come from a land called Equestria!"
"Really?" pink Spike asked, skeptical. "Huh... We come from Dream Valley."
Dream Valley... Dream Valley... Suddenly, Spike's throat caught a lump. "Dear Princess Celestia... Something of the upmost importance has occurred. I had a dream. Not just any dream. It looked like our country, but it wasn't. It was called Dream Valley . I saw my friends, but they were different, and there were these strange, hairless monkeys..."
"What's wrong?" frowned pink Spike. "You look really scared..."
"...did you ever meet a guy...called Discord?" stuttered Spike. The group turned to one another and nodded to Spike. "...oh, sweet Celestia... She was right... She really was right..."

By chance, several ponies, the surviving ones that didn't get swept away in the Smooze, had managed to escape uphill to Princess Wysteria's castle. They were all frightened for their life. No evil had ever breached their land of rainbows and joy before. They weren't prepared. The thought of such a thing had never even past their thought. What's worse, the main six no longer had the Elements of Harmony, so they were powerless against it as much as the others. "Please, calm down," said a blue dragon. "Princess Wysteria has sent Zipzee off to Unicornia to see if their magic can provide help to fend off this mess. It'll take a while for them to arrive, though."
Twilight Sparkle and Rarity glanced at one another. There it was again; Unicornia. Twilight Sparkle trotted over to the dragon, "Err... Spike, was it?"
Blue Spike nodded, "That's me! Kerbroath Gilspotten Heathspike! But you can call me simply Spike!"
Twilight Sparkle frowned, trying to process the name, "Ermm... Right... Anyways, I'd like to ask you a few questions..."
Applejack and Pinkie Pie panted heavily as the crashed in through the front door, followed by four other ponies, one being inverted Pinkie Pie. "Oh, darlings!" Rarity cried out, trotting over and hugging both, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy soon following. "Oh, dear, we were so worried..."
"Ah, taint nothin' fer ya ta worry 'bout," smiled Applejack. "Well, except for Pinkie Pie..."
"Thbthbthbth," spat Pinkie Pie, sticking her tongue out to show a glob of Smooze stuck to it. Rarity and Fluttershy screamed while Rainbow Dash gasped.
"She tried ta eat the rain," frowned Applejack.
Rainbow Dash looked passed the two at the three Earth Ponies standing around casually. "Who're they? I recognize the Pinkie Pie look-a-like, but the others... They...kinda look familiar..."
"Oh," smirked Applejack. "Saved them on the way here. They almost drowned in that goop."
"I'm Cheerilee," smiled one. "This is my friend Sweetie Belle and my sister Scootaloo. Thank you very much for rescuing us." The five finally realized why they looked so familiar: they looked just like their Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, and Cheerilee. Only this Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo had cutie marks and Scootaloo didn't have any wings, and this Cheerilee's cutie mark was different.
"Alicorn, you say?" asked blue Spike. "That sure is an interesting term. No, our princess isn't a unicorn. Just a regular pony, with an evil stepmom that- Wait, no, I'm thinking of a fairy tale. But yeah Princess Wysteria is a regular, normal pony!"
"Well, that crosses out any magic help I was hoping for," sighed Twilight Sparkle. "But maybe she can still help. This Unicornia, by the way, who's the princess there?"
"Me!"
Twilight Sparkle and blue Spike turned as a young, pink unicorn with colorful hair approached them. "My name's Princess Rarity, I rule over Unicornia~"
Twilight Sparkle giggled a bit, muttering aside to herself, "Well, this'll be interesting to tell Rarity..." She coughed and cleared her throat nervously when Princess Rarity gave her a stern look. "Yes, well, ahem, my name's Twilight Sparkle. As you know, this town is being attacked by a strange substance called Smooze. We need to-."
Suddenly, a screeched pierced the air. Everypony turned to the throne. There stood Discord, with a pony in his grasp. "No!!" cried blue Spike. "Princess Wysteria!!"

Aaand chapter three or something.
COPYRIGHT, ARGH. Stole two lyrics from two official songs from MLP, "Feelin' Good" from G3 in the movie where Spike is found under the castle and Wysteria becomes Princess (not that ANY of you watched that movie, lol) and "Nothing Can Stop the Smooze" in the G1 MLP movie with the three witches and the Smooze (again, which NONE of you have watched, I'm sure).
As a future note, when in a scene with alternate versions of one character, each will be labeled certainly, except for G4 ponies as this is mainly G4 centered and the only characters you know are G4 ones. i.e.. If Rainbow Dash and 'wingless Rainbow Dash' are in one scene, they'll both be referred to as such. However, if Rarity and wingless Rainbow Dash are alone in a scene, then wingless Rainbow Dash will be referred to simply as 'Rainbow Dash'. It's confusing, but as long as you pay attention, you should get it.
And yay, yet another cliff-hanger chapter ending. SO SUSPENSEFUL, AMIRITE?
