As she glances up she sees a student standing in front of her. She begins to snarl then leans in closer to the girl who seems to be standing in front of her rummaging around in her bag her hand with a watch placed on the edge of her desk she leans further in and glares “Young woman what are you doing giving me a note instead of just speaking to me” the girl glances up and points at the note before lowering her head and continues searching her bag. “SPEAK GIRL” She leans back in her chair “I can't read your mind“ at this comment a small smile developed on the girls face as she leaned in a bit further into her bag soon she pulled out a small silver voice recorder and handed it to the impatient substitute teacher. I’m sitting a little pile of ash i could use some help feathers...~ ~Aren't easy to clean I know~ “You done yet” “No Sol I’m not” “Ok have fun I’m gone” As Sol walked off towards their small wooden home on the outskirts of the city Mariah stopped laughing silently and began waiting for Max to dust himself off and head back to meet up with his sister. soon they reached the quaint wooden home opening the door the three of them walked up the steps towards the bedrooms. “You guys should stay outside phoenix regenerations aren't exactly pretty” Max warned “The room looks ok now its just kinda.... on fire annnnnnnd covered in ash” Celeste said over the sound of wingbeats “I’m gonna go underground i'm getting a bit hungry” said Sol as he was enwrapped in dark green flame which slid down his body replacing the school clothes he was wearing with a verdant green t-shirt and khaki shorts with a stripe of red yellow and blue when Sol finished both Max and Mariah were enwrapped in aquamarine and violet flames respectively Max came out wearing blue T-shirt and shorts with a flame on the center, Mariah came out with a white shirt with a large stripe of purple diagonally with the top on her right hand shoulder. As Sol was beginning to leave Max opened the door to his sisters room revealing a large bird covered in ash staring back at the three of them. üh yeah so.....” Celeste began awkwardly “I may need some help putting out these fire’s and getting this ash off” ~I got it don’t worry~ “Do what you want to i'm getting something to eat then i'm gonna clean the tundra and lake. Cell when your done its your turn to fix the lighting system Max Mariah you good for cooking?” “Hey Mariah could you maybe use some tk and get this ash off me” ~I got it birdie~ “I'm not a birdie, I'm a phoenix” Mariah moved her hands together and pushed them apart channeling energies unknown to most humans as she pushed her hands apart the ash covering Celeste flew off and hovered a few meters away from her revealing a golden and red eagle looking bird with aquamarine tail feathers then Mariah grabbed all the ash in the room off of the wall and placed it into a plastic garbage bag which was dropped in front of Celeste. “Thanks Mariah let me just change back” “I’m gonna go make something to eat” ~Ok Max i'll be there in a sec~ Celeste ruffled her feathers then was encased in golden flame and after it was gone all that remained was Max’s twin standing there smiling. Sol walked down the hall hearing them still talking and thinking about how quickly he could clear the tundra so he could swim in the lake. after reaching the bottom of the stairs he took a sharp left into their small living room “why we decided to go with the most cliche of secret entrances is completely beyond me” Sol sighed as he pulled on a book rotating a bookshelf and opening a door to an elevator. after a few seconds of rumbling it reached the bottom the doors opened revealing a massive underground cave with artificial biomes a tundra, lake, miniature shield volcano and in the center a crater with crystals coming out of the ground and crackling with different auras of energy. ~Hey Mariah you feel like emeralds tonight?~ ~Sure sounds nice, get some topaz as well~ ~On it~ “Ok time to morph and get this over with” A green flame enveloped Sol again as the flame dissipated Sol stood there but not as a human or phoenix but as a dragon with a stripe of scales interchanging colours of red, blue and yellow from tail to head through the center of the spine. the rest of the his scales were a dark green. at about half the height of the average human slightly smaller than a doorway and two meters long this was a rather impressive sight. using his tail Sol dug up and then smashed some emeralds and topaz from their crystal farm before levitating them back into a small satchel by the elevator before changing back and traveling back up the elevator and through the bookshelf. entering the living room he saw Celeste on her way down to fix the light in the tundra which had been on the brink for a while. “Have fun birdie” Sol smirked “Save it I hate the cold” Cell snarled ”In any case i’m gonna be late back im gonna stop by the volcano to warm up after” “CELL” Max came running through the living room “Oh hey just wondering do you feel like fish or just some of last nights lamb? because we need some more fish otherwise” “guys i have to deliver some gemstones...” “oh ok sorry” “Cell why are you apologizing” “Sol just go past, now Cell you good to go hunting or what?” said Max as Sol continued walked past “yeah Max i'll go hunting after I fix the lights and warm up at the volcano” said Celeste with a blank face and a sarcastic tone. “Ok ok Cell i'll go grab some fish and bring it back” ~Sol where are the gems i've finished the twins seasoning all i need is the the fish and gems~ ~I’m on my way mariah i'll be back and Sol’s nearly there~ Max encased himself in a blue flame and morphed into a ird the same as Celeste’s but with the blue taking the place of the gold with golden tail feathers. then he flew out the open window and headed off towards the beach on the other side of town at quite a fast speed. meanwhile mariah got the gemstones Sol collected and transformed into her own dragon form. after the purple flame subsided what remained was a white and purple scaled dragon with the white scales running a pattern around her body from tail to golden horns she was slightly smaller than Sols dragon form but at the same time still large enough to be quite threatening. then she picked up the assorted gems of topaz and emerald and began compacting them together with telekinesis trying to crush them together to the point where they wouldn’t fall apart after creating this block of crystal she set it down and began creating another one of the crystal blocks when she had finished the four blocks she laid them out and started looking for Max. ~Hey Max where are you~ ~b..y c.a.. t... ...~ ~Celeste, Sol I can't reach Max with my telepathy somethings wrong~ Two yells came from the other end of the house simultaneously “Were on our way meet us at the lake” Mariah proceeded to rush out the front door and after taking a couple of seconds to stretch her wings took off heading over the city the night sky provided a free camouflage for her purple scales. A bolt of electricity shot down in front of her illuminating the sky and revealing a falling phoenix. Mariah then mouthed “Thats not good” swooping down she caught Max in her paws and looked up seeing celeste falling and Sol who now had switched the colour of his scales to having yellow as his main with green taking its place on his back limping his way down the roof of a commercial building. Mariahs eyes lit up in a violet aura glowing brightly and time slowed down celeste fell slowly towards the ground and sol was nearly on the roof she placed Max down and flew as quickly as she could over to celeste picking her up the same way she had Max and carrying her over to sol before letting the aura which had built up from just around her eyes to surrounding whole draconian body dissipate and time retook its normal pace as she went to pick up Max and carry him back to Sol. “Hey Mariah nice of you to show up, enjoy your leisurely flight?” ~Oh shut up and pass out already~ “Sounds nice but I thought I should tell you Max and Cell have broken wings and yeah I think passing out sounds nice but your gonna need help to teleport us back” Mariahs expression shifted from glaring to just sighing in defeat ~come on help me out with this~ with curled up on the top of the building mariah dropped max next to cell and sat next top Sol and began channeling again a teleport with Sol pitching in to boost the power a flash of multicoloured light and they were all in the caverns underneath their home in the crystal crater changing back and rushing over to a seam of emeralds in the center working frantically she shaped them into four malleable emerald bandages for max and celeste and then rushed up to grab the emerald and topaz blocks she had made earlier. Bringing them down she noticed Sol had passed out after setting up Max and Cell into positions where she could fix their wings easily. After applying the crystal bandages she changed back to human and went to check on Sol. After checking all she found was his right wrist was broken some major bruising and his left foreleg was dislocated. After setting his leg and going back to check on the twins The doorbell rang. End chapter one. ch 2Warily Mariah edged towards the door. Again the person out the front knocked... Grinding her teeth she dashed forwards ripped open the door and threw a punch at a police officer’s face. Losing the adrenaline she’d had since arriving in the city she leant against the door for support. At this moment Max stumbled his way to the door and looked from the unconscious officer to Mariah then back again “You ma’am are an unmitigated genius” the look the injured bird received back was nothing more than an icy glare “On another note this emerald really does have rather nice healing properties my wings they feel alot better” ~Thank you but what do we do about him~ “Saaaay...... Say I flew out and hit him and that i’m a rare species of bird it’ll be funny” ~Your wings are bandaged......~ “It was one of your punches he’ll be out for a few more minutes say you bandaged me after you brought him in as I hurt my wings” ~Ok one tiny problem~ “What?” ~I’m mute~ “Hey guys you catch the number plate of the car that hit me” “Perfect your up. Celeste could you” “Yes max I caught the conversation and I haven't been living under a rock. My wing hurts like I got run over thanks for asking” ~Cell morph back and help me get him inside~ “On it” Mariah and Celeste went to the side of the officer and began to carry him into their living room dumping him down they both went and got a perch for Max to sit on to try and complete the illusion as Max went to sit on the lounge opposite the officer. While they were away the officer woke up “Aww crap my head... wait what am I doing here WHO got me drunk this time” “squawk” “Hello little birdie do you know where I am” ~Girls hes awake lemme have some fun with him~ “What am I saying you probably have no idea where I am” At the finish of this sentence Max jumped up and stumbled his way over to a globe nearby their secret elevator jumped up and pointed to Australia. At this the cop was stunned after he shook his head to stop his eyes from widening anymore. Max squawked happily. ~Max are you done yet~ said Celeste through the psychic link ~No not yet~ ~Good cause this is hilarious i'm having trouble not laughing~ ~Your stealthed aren't you~ ~Yes actually i’m busy sitting on top of the open door.. oh oh ooooh I got a great idea Mariah come in and introduce yourself~ ~I don't really want to~ ~Just go for it~ “So you must be a very smart bird huh strange feather colour scheme to boot” ‘squawk’ At this Mariah walked in. “Ah finally” the officer said “Do you own this bird?” She nodded “Ok because i was just wondering what these bandages are made of they look almost crystalline” Mariah tilted her head for a questioning look and as the officer was looking at her used tk to swap out the emerald for some big leaves off of a tree in the room “Excuse me miss but do you know where you mother or father are I was here to ask if you know anything about what just happened above the city. We've sent out officers to houses all over the place.” Mariah grabbed a brochure off of the table for a restaurant in the city. “Oh ok well miss I would like to be able to hear the person i'm speaking to speak back” Mariah pointed to her throat while opening and closing her mouth. “Oooh i'm sorry Miss I didn't know” ~Ok we've got him feeling bad, time to creep him out~ “Hey you've woken up here have a drink sorry but Mariah is mute” Celeste said from behind the couch the officer was sitting on holding a cup of coffee in her one good arm. “how did you get there” “I walked in through the door went around behind the chair sat there wearing my invisibility cloak watching you two squirm in an awkward conversation with a mute then froze time visited my dragon friend came back here unfroze time and spent a couple of seconds spouting absolute bull. If you're looking for Mariah’s parents they're out right now i'm here to help with Max” “who’s max?” “The bird that flew out the door and hit you in the face” “That is a very smart bird” “We know, oh i'll be right back” Celeste walked out the door channeled a small quantity of energy and walked back in nearly totally invisible. keeping to the far walls celeste sneaked past everyone in the room with m\Mariah staring intently in Cell’s direction watching her every move as the officer took another look over Max again. “This is a very interesting species of bird you have here does he belong to you or your parents” mariah turned her head back to the cop and nodded. “Do you know where he came from and are there any others?” ~Mariah nod twice I have a plan~ ~oh please no~ ~Max be quiet yeah i'm nodding~ “Ok so is that two yeses? “ She nodded “Ok do you know where the other is? I'm rather interested” While the conversation was happening Celeste had slipped out again and morphed back into her phoenix form at this she realised her wing was still broken. She hopped back into the room and stared from Max to the officer and back again three times then squawked and went to sit next to Max. “These two are very different birds are they a different species?” Mariah shook her head then pointed from cell to herself. “ok so the golden one is female?” She nodded as Max nuzzled Celeste ~ok we've had our fun lets get him out of here~ ~ok cell can you come back in?~ ~yup~ Cell got up from the chair with Max and helped him stumble his way out using her one good wing to help stabilize him. Once clear they changed back to their respective human forms celeste’s arm once again in a single sling whereas max was in bad shape with both his arms slung. “What happened to you? I mean one arm but two were you in a fight?” “No officer I was rock climbing and you can put the rest together” “Oh i just realised I haven't introduced myself yet i’m officer....” At this moment sol walked into the living room in his dragon form grumbling about damnable black blobs of dark magic went into the kitchen grabbed a handful of crystals and went back underground through the secret bookcase. “Well crap” max sighed “Come on we’ll explain everything” ~well ok i've added him the the psychic lattice~ ~The what~ ~You guys wouldn't name it so I did the psychic lattice sounds good right?~ ~Why are you people in my head~ ~Just follow the mute~ ~Hey I have a name~ ~Quiet you two~ Cell walked up to the bookcase door and opened it walking through the officer warily followed them down the elevator and into the caverns below. “Dear God” exclaimed the cop “You know I still haven't said my name” ~Hello sgt John Miller perfect name for a cop don't you think~ “Ooooh kaaay the mute is a telepath and can read my mind. You know what waking up after you fainted standing on rocks isn't usually pleasant waking up on rocks surrounded by two phoenixes with broken wings a big yellow dragon with a badly hurt wrist and leg and a big purple dragon with one of the aforementioned phoenixes on its head. “uhhh hi please don't eat me” “we won’t” the little blue bird he recognised from up stairs the golden one on the purple dragons head just stared at the blue one “we’re just gonna explain all of the facts so you don't freak out and/or go tell some people where we are” “ok he's seen me talk can I go back to sleep now my head hurts” said the yellow dragon “oh i'm still in lighting form thats why i'm still hurting” his scales changed in colour the yellow switching places with the blue on his back and making him look much darker than before “ok now I'm in water form I'm going to the lake” The dragon took off into the air screaming something about shit and leg and freaking wrist. “Now about above the city half of this will be confidential the other go home and tell your friends” ~I’m gonna sit this one out I wasn’t there~ “Ok we flew out there after Max” she pointed to the blue phoenix “Who was being attacked by a dark entity that all we know freakin rofl stomped us and let me demonstrate how hard that is” Celeste said as she turned nearly invisible and ran off leaving nothing but small amounts of dust. John lost track of her once she started running until she dropped her stealth and burst into flames flying straight at him the fire began to peel off and circle her in an elliptical orbit with blades of flames coming from most sides of the circle which she launched at him feeling as if she was about to kill him he closed his eyes and as he did Max raised his wings and did the same thing except with ice and launched back an identical shaped blast of ice energy once he felt the cold from the ice being formed John miller opened his eyes and saw the ice colliding with fire and having the ice melt away and the fire dissipate into nothingness. “Overdoing it a bit I see Celeste you're too reckless” “Anyway after we showed up we help Max for a bit did that along with Sols lighting abilities” “What? Sols lightning abilities?” “Ok Sol and Mariah along with myself and stealthing troll of a sister all died along with our parents about six years ago on a train the four of us were on our way up to sydney for a fun trip I mean with all of us being eight traveling from palm beach down to sydney for a birthday really exciting up until you know the thing that just kicked our asses and left me with two arms hurt badly however on that note my right arms feeling better I think the crystal cast can be taken off now” Mariah walked over to assist Max all the while staring at Celeste’s arm as well “Yeah Mariah im good I think i'll leave it to set a bit more and i still have one free arm” she said while waving “So that thing absolutely destroyed the train just to find us and after reaching us basically killed everyone else by exploding the train and then took us out one at a time. Now is the part where everything goes to hell a Chronokeeper showed up and resurrected us and gave us different abilities such as Mariah's telepathy and telekinesis and Cells ability to stealth. Then explained the fact that the thing was after us because of the genetic codes that were inside us as our parents were the perfect match we acquired the ability to become phoenixes and dragons respectively. Apparently we were destined to be friends as our genetic code just makes us get along. And now you may ask but Mariah and Sol are from different families how are they both dragons. They are different species of dragon. The Elementali and Time Guardians, Time Guardians are the Chronokeepers own friends and guard force. This is just great now we have to put together another illusion to go and sort it out next time we go in why Mariah insists on going to the strictest school in the area I will never understand" Max grumbled to himself before getting up and opening the door through a painstaking process of raising and lowering his still hurting but now mobile arm to get in position for the door knob. Once outside he headed down the steps towards the kitchen trying to get a feel for who was awake to judge the time of day. Cell was awake and with Mariah trying to convince her that adding rubies to her topaz and emerald block thingies would be a bad idea but Sol looked to still be out so either it was before 5:20am or he was unconscious. Judging from the fact Cell was nearly shouting at Mariah while she worked trying to get the blocks done she was keeping her cool and frustrating Cell to no end after a bit Max decided watching this was getting him nowhere instead favouring to just grab what was left of the lamb they'd had two days ago. Peeling back the glad wrap and slicing off some pieces onto a plate Max walked off into the living room to sit down and accidentally bumping into Celeste on the way triggered a barrage of questions relating to how long he'd been downstairs and why emeralds wouldn't mix with rubies because of their special properties. Half ignoring it and just being unable to understand it due to the migraine he was suffering Max went and sat down getting a random book off of the shelf to use as a tray while he ate. Sitting on the floor he could barely begin to hear other things over his sisters laughter and yelling..... and sarcastic comments. Beginning to eat now he started getting annoyed at his sisters incessant yelling. Looking at the book he was holding "Interactions between powerful creatures and crystals: a reference guide" "may as well" Opening the cover towards the index and promptly looked for the section on phoenixes after finding it he began reading and found some facts like ice and fire phoenixes are separate in what crystal effects do. For example an amethyst for an ice breed would have no effect whatsoever whereas with a fire breed the same crystal would induce a conscious paralyzed state with nothing more than the ability to move one's eyes, breathe and talk for an hour per gram swallowed. an evil grin spread over Max's face but disappeared when Celeste grabbed him and dragged him into the kitchen screaming about how pears are terrible and she prefers star fruit and asking his opinion on the subject. In other news the mysterious dark clouds that were seen brewing over the city center early last night have had a breakthrough with video footage of what is believed to be a phoenix on fire charging into the heart of the storm." "Thats right not only that but we have an officer who was wearing recording equipment who claims to have gone to a house to ask questions and been to some extent held half captive by the same phoenix here is a small snippet of the sound file. "Mariah why are your eyes closed?" As soon as these words were uttered Max and everyone else in the room was blasted back all except for one officer. In yellow dragon form. charging a laser. aimed at his face. by the time he looked back to Mariah a number of the potted plants in the room had been picked up and thrown at it/him quickly transforming back into its normal form the dark blob began creating clouds around the home. lightning began striking the ground. As the entire house blew up exposing a small area of the underground caverns. During the confusion Mariah had shielded the officers and professor who was writing down everything that happened. Max and Cell both shot off into the air the moment the roof was blown off one of which muttering curses in pain as they flew off. Taking up perches in the remaining areas of the cavern. Celeste moved first stealthing and moving off to flank the weird blob of darkness. Followed by Max who made six duplicates of himself and scattered himself and these copies to the wind. The blob took a solid form the shape of a human in a robe but remained the same indistinguishable black colour as before. Mariah stayed human and grabbed a multitude of rocks off of the ground making a shield around Sol as he changed from lightning to wind green scales replacing the yellow ones and returning to the ridge on his back. All but immediately after this process finished a Tornado appeared in front of Sol and began tearing up the area even this was enough force to move the dark entity Max and Cell had been smart enough on the other hand to fly away before anything happened Mariah prepared to teleport both herself and Sol out of there when ominous call echoed out across all of the surrounding area including sydney itself striking fear into the hearts of all it crossed paths with shaking their very souls “If you shall not come willingly and seek to destroy me in the process know now that we shall meet again and when we do it shan’t be pretty for you. However, that would be what I would say if i were to be defeated no I shall never be defeated but on the same note you shall and by the predecessors I swear to end you on this day here and now” By this time Max and Cell had re-joined Sol and Mariah as they teleported out of the cavern and watched the tornado be brushed aside morphing back to human the stood side by side Sol’s shirt turned yellow, Mariah began floating, the ground beneath Celeste and Max froze and caught alight respectively and they began charging a beam of energy aimed to destroy the dark being. Oh pitiful how pitiful you have no chance the dark being raised its pinkie and shot out a beam the size of a banana at a nearby tree, that tree soon became an astronaut with a hole in it that was on fire. “We won't give up not yet anyway” they launched back their reply and the eerie shadow of a person sent his reply a full on blast with both his hands in an overly dramatic dragon ball z (tm) kame hame ha position which blasted straight through their beam and into the ground behind the illusion they were still standing there faded and they came up behind and blasted him again this time piercing straight through him and into the ground below “ha you actually made me pull out my trump card well done but not well enough" It laughed as a massive explosion went off and the surrounding area was devastated the caverns destroyed the officers and professor who had gotten a video camera now were all blasted back and seriously injured. when the dust settled all that remained was a perfectly circular hole where they had been fighting. To this day no one on earth ever heard from those four again. Although I must add they certainly didn't die. ch 4::Mariah:: So this thing better work or else this will be a MASSIVE pain. Hello I'm Mariah and this is a recording of what happened when we were thoroughly destroyed and sent to the magical world of Equestria. I was the last one to come to after the fight turns out I hadn’t broken my arm so that was a plus what was a negative was the fact that I no longer had arms to break. Attempting to rise to all four hooves is rather a pain when the only experience you have of it is as a dragon and dragons have a completely different anatomy to unicorns. What was also rather annoying was the fact that who I believed to be Celeste chattering away senselessly turned out to be a pink horse in front of me blabbering away continually without end. I got up slowly and began scratching my head slowly. I didn't understand what was going on but being naturally cautious I stayed silent. Soon a purple horse had walked over and pushed the pink one out of the way she walked over to me and began talking “Hello my name is Twilight Sparkle and you just materialised in my library.” Right afterwards a black horse with a yellow and red speckled mane “Twi no offence but that was terrible, Hey my name is Solar Flare and this is the country of Equestria now how did you get here and do you know how to get back.” I pointed to my throat and began mimicking speaking. The purple one picked up a nearby sandwich with magic and butted in saying “How did you say anything different to me! Also are you a mute pony?” At the conclusion of this sentence my eyes widened and I looked in a mirror my reflection not exactly what I expected but it makes sense. I was nearly identical to this Twilight Sparkle Except for the fact the pink streak in her mane and tail was white for me and my coat was slightly darker also I was a mite taller along with the fact I didn't have a brand/tattoo thing. “Excuse me but have you never seen your own reflection” I pointed towards my throat. “Oh sorry. uuuh, that's a yes or no. Is this the first time you’ve seen your reflection.” I had no other options at this point I would either tell them everything or stay silent and endure this awkward conversation. In three seconds I reached out and searched all their memories for reasons to hurt me. Checking the one named twilight I saw only worry and good intentions. the stallion had similar thoughts however one section of his mind was closed off and I wasn't going any further in. The pink ones mind was.... disturbing. And no I'm not about to tell you what I saw. opening a telepathic link I began speaking and told them the same story that had been recited the day before. Editing the parts before so as to they believed we were older when we died and leaving out the parts after we died. All I received in return was a now saddened pink horse with droopy hair a stunned purple unicorn, and a calculating stare searching me looking for faults in my story from the one named Solar Flare. Soon after the black one spoke up “I believe her and I can get the princesses to get that spell I used to send the Pokémon/humans home l can send you and your friends home if you so wish” I thought for a moment and came to the conclusion that going back was a bad idea we’d been revealed and all that was left for us was fame and possibly testing at the hands of scientists, shaking my head I told them sending us back would be a bad idea. I walked outside and was promptly bowled over by a dark blue stallion with a gold mane and tail Pegasus and a cyan mare Pegasus with rainbow hair suddenly a purple aura enveloped us all. And well I sort of panicked. Teleporting to the source of the magic I shot a small pulse out of my horn and promptly shot Twilight in the face blasting her back into the library and creating a pile of books on the floor. The stallion stared at me and said “M Mariah?” My eyes shot open and I stared back It was Max I was about to open a link to him but the cyan mare had other ideas swiftly pummelling him into the ground with her hooves and then coming after me screaming something about hurting her friend. I sidestepped her and lifted her up so she couldn't move. Speaking to Max I grunted out ~please tell her to stop struggling and that her friend should be fine it was just knockback magic the bookcase would have hurt more and that I apologize for panicking~ “Mariah that is a long message I’ve forgotten half of it already” I glared back at him “Ok ok I'll tell her” “So you are a telepath, Interesting I will be back” the black stallion after finishing his message galloped out. “Rainbow haired one your friend is fine she’s just buried under books also please stop struggling and Mariah here wishes to apologize for panicking” “and who made you the grand interpreter” “She's a mute telepath and doesn't exactly trust you” As this conversation was going on I was busy digging out Twilight who groaned when she was uncovered. I grabbed some remaining emeralds I had and placed them on her forehead and let their energy seep into her after this was done she got up and glared at me. While the cyan one and Max had a fight I walked over and formally apologized to Twilight She breathed in, out and accepted. Then a shout rang out “I AM EASILY 20% FASTER THAN YOU” “Then how did I out run you until I collided with my friend here” “YOU HAD A HEAD START” “Why are you so angry can’t handle the fact I'm faster than you. Mariah put her down she needs to be taught a lesson” I sighed knowing the cyan one had no chance “Rainbow Dash decline this challenge for once in your life It’s not a good idea if he has nearly as much power as this one. I'm sorry what's her name uhhh Max was it?“ “Yes and her name is Mariah” “Twilight I expect even you to understand I can't turn down a challenge now put me down” The moment her hooves touched the ground Max made twelve illusionary copies of himself and yawned before making them all charge at her. Five seconds later Rainbow Dash was panting hard and the Max’s were yawning again. After figuring out that she wasn’t getting anywhere just flailing wildly at every illusion she came across. She decided to start flying through them to figure which one was real. When she got close Max punched her in the face and knocked her out. Meanwhile I had walked off searching for the others when a yellow horse pony thing tackled me and spurted these exact words. “Twilight please help me there's a phoenix in my house... why did you dye your mane, I- if you don't mind me asking.” the moment I heard the word phoenix everything else was put on hold, If max was busy “fighting” the rainbow one then it must be Celeste. I gently lifted her off of me and she ran off towards a small cottage on the outskirts following closely behind I began feeling a slight draft on my back. panicking three times in two days isn't really looking good for me is it. Spinning around I dove and knocked cell clean out of the air and onto the ground. Lifting her up I ran (galloped?) up and tapped the yellow horse that I now noted was a Pegasus on her shoulder realising that I had cell she grabbed her out of my hands. I don't know how and took her inside. after a little while the one named Twilight came running up panting with Max who was carrying an unconscious rainbow and sporting a black eye. I gave a short silent giggle. and turned back to the cottage which now had an open door and a Pegasus standing there open mouthed with a phoenix trying to get bandages off on her back. “hey Fluttershy” the unicorn said awkwardly “I sort of want you to meet Max and Mariah” Max grumbled something about a right hook then went over and tore the bandages off of cell to Fluttershy’s amazement and she subsequently fainted when cell sighed “Thank you and also since when are you a Pegasus” “Since I materialized in some other Pegasus's house made a joke about her being slow got chased away to this ones library knocked her unconscious and came looking for you sis” “WAIT WHAT. how is THAT your sister” exclaimed the cyan horse waking up I facepal- hoofed and continued on with my life there was still one more to find. I turned around and saw celeste laughing maniacally while the rainbow haired horse was trapped in a bubble of fire. And it was max’s turn to facehoof. “Cell change back I want to see if you were changed as well” “I know and I was I woke up as a horse thing. also why is Mariah nearly the same as the other purple one” ~I have no idea also don't change back we’ll need an aerial view to find Sol~ I told them as I morphed. I looked back and saw no problems with my transformation and just as I was about to take to the skies the yellow one woke up and started screaming alerting the rest of the town to my presence. Yeah not good. “Max an ice wall would be good about now” “I know cell but how do you channel magic in a quadruped body” Twilight spoke up with a now confused look on her face “um pegasi can’t use magic only unicorns and alicorns can do that” “Well shi-” “GET THE DRAGON.” “DRIVE IT OUT OF TOWN” “WE NEED MORE MONEY TO GO TO THE TOWNS ROADS” The entire mob stopped and stared at the stallion that shouted about needing better road care. I sighed and flew off. Interesting fact dragon scales are harder than hooves so when pegasi decided to start trying to bring me down they ended up just hurting themselves, Celeste wasn’t so lucky she actually had to fight back which wasn't exactly a hard thing to do for her. Many pegasi went to the hospital for third degree burns. eventually after much casual flying on my part max trying to blend in with the crowd by coming after me we landed in the nearby forest where none of the other horses would follow us. We found a shack after a few minutes of walking. The black horse I ran into earlier was leaving the quaint home, he locked eyes with me and lowered his horn then Cell and Max walked through the brush behind me. he seemed shocked when cell landed on my horns and glared back at him. Max still as a Pegasus walked up beside me and spoke calmingly “Look its us from back at the library well my sisters here now two but its us.” I shook cell off of me and began changing back. Walking towards him I heard him mutter “great more Shapeshifters” as a red beam shot down in front of me originating from the castle on a mountain. As the dust cleared all I could see was a weird animal that looked to be almost like a oriental dragon in shape but had its body covered in fur and a miss match of body parts from other animals. Believing it to be a chimera Max froze it solid and that's when the pink pony from the library shot confetti in my face with an oversized cannon giggled and then began setting up party supplies everywhere. ch 5::Max:: Waking up being prodded by a blue horse isn't exactly high on my to do list but hey it happened. "Hey mister you gonna wake up and tell me why you're asleep underneath my house" "Yes by all means lean on my wing that was broken all but one day ago" "Oh sorry" "Who are you" I said surprised looking at the small horse" "Who am I. "Insert crickets here" I muttered sarcastically "Hey no need to be rude to the fastest flyer in equestria" "Your species must have a hard time maximizing your speed your bodies are too large waaay too much air friction to maximise your speed" "What are you talking about? wait are you an egghead. also you're a pegasus too." By your definition yes and shit" "Answer my question" "I said you're species shouldn’t be able to fly very fast as your bodies are too big" "You calling me fat I’m gonna get you back for that" And as such she proceeded to punch me in the gut still laying on my back I froze her and tried to fly off realising her hoof was on my wing. Pushing her off I shot out from underneath took stock of my new form and began working my new wings. Now not being a cruel being I had frozen that pegasus or whatever in a thin layer of ice and as such she had broken out and had taken off towards me at high speed, she flew at me and I sidestepped as I heard a sonic boom. Yes you heard it here first folks minature horses can create sonic booms.in any case she was gaining on me so I casually create copies and split off flying erratically worked. Until I flew into Mariah and was pummeled by the blue horse. And now to skip ahead. We had made our way out of the city after being chased by that insane mob after finding the horse from before lowering his head and glaring threateningly at Mariah after calming him down I noticed a small twinkle appear on the edge of a castle situated on top of a mountain which subsequently got bigger and bigger until i realised it was a form of magic being launched at us. blasting the area in front of us and leaving behind what I believed to be a hairy chinese dragon with wings in a large crater. I was about to comment when a pink horse showed up sprayed confetti everywhere and pulled cakes out of slipspace. Well not really but they weren't where she got them from seconds before she went there. Ran up gave me and mariah party hats and then came up in my face and asked if I was having fun. "Who are you, where did this come from, why are you in my face and no" I said as the pink horse pushed further into my nose. "I'm Pinkie Pie and I’m here with my apprentice to throw you a party" The black horse outside the house called out "PINKIE I'M NOT YOUR APPRENTICE" "Solar Flare yes yes you are my apprentice' the black horse teleported over and sighed "We are partners I used to be your apprentice Pinkie" "Pinkie equals originality overload" ~Max shut up, and help me find your sister shes gone~ "Three two one and were all dead" As soon as Max finished his countdown cell flew through the tree (on fire) straight at Pinkie who pulled out a hose doused her, gave her a hug grabbed some cake and sat celeste on the plate. Solar flare walked over "That is my PARTNER pinkie pie. You three are to be kept informed of the entire situation we are two agents in one of the two branches of the equestrian secret service" "I have a good friend in our sister team, and hes my apprentice" Solar ground his teeth but said nothing. "Lets get this thing up and out of here" I said "Who Discord hes not a thing and he's awake" "Well pinke you never cease to amaze let us begin this little tango" Discord started dancing with a doll of Pinkie "and tell me why did that pony up in canterlot react so badly to being put in a maze so far as to the point he blew a hole in the canterlot wall and flew off." "Discord why are you here aren't you meant to be doing somthing up at the castle" asked Solar Mariah turned around and walked off Cell flew over and sat on my head. "That is the wrong question the question is who are you why are you here and why did you get blasted here." "I am discord the living embodiment of chaos" "and your insane" I grumbled "who are you and more importantly how are you radiating so much magic, you're a pegasus right?" "no" "and you are" "used to be human" "and that is" "you would have no idea" "tell me" "I’m leaving" "Max can you get the water out of my feathers" I freeze the water and drag it out of Celeste's feathers then proceed to throw it at Discord "Discord go home. And Max stay here go inside make you and your sister feel at home, I'll go get your friend" "You are the one who asked for the beating" I muttered "I doubt she will. she could but I don't think she will" "Arrgh this is going nowhere" "Where's Pinkie" This pointless conversation continued for another six minutes. Until I froze everyone threw discord at the castle put solar inside let celeste down next to him went and found Mariah brought her back. and the following conversation ensued. "Pinkie there is no problem we just need to make a house and find our friend" As I said this another five horses entered through the door and one of which was the rainbow maned horse which I knocked out. she glared at me and said "race me now" "Oh really" "yes really" "lets get this over with" I said stepping outside "rules?" "yes" "good" I said as I was engulfed in a blue flame and transformed into my phoenix form. "i'll judge If you want" said the purple one from back at the library "hurry up" I said getting a bit impatient "that is so weird hearing it from a bird" I rolled my eyes "3" I got into position "2" Flexed my left wing "1" Thought about what I was going to do "GO" I took to the skies and immediately Rainbow takes advantage of my now smaller size and no rules rule. Tackling me down as I came up and forcing a bit of a drop in speed which was soon taken advantage of on my part. I began making walls midair in front of the pegasus slowing her to dodge them. If I could stop this pegasus from breaking what I believe was the sound barrier I could win and humiliate her. Finally catching up I grabbed onto the back of her mane with my talons, pulling her up and over my head before flinging her down below me into the forest which was of course a bad idea. the horse shot out from below me and tried to punch me in the gut a second time that day barely rolling out of the way I made duplicates she flew up from underneath obviously not having learned her lesson from before. I made an Ice gauntlet or wing brace thing whatever. ideally I would have flown at her and let the brace take the impact but in an ideal situation I'm not fighting a horse that flies at mach 1. Spinning in a corkscrew I created a vortex of ice from the braces around myself, Rainbow however was undeterred and flew straight at me. A bad idea as I was no longer where she thought I was. I shot out of the vortex as a clone flew in front of her to block vision as she grappled with the clone another took my place in the storm by this time we were over the settlement and had attracted the attention of a number of rather irritable pegasi. Who now decided to get my clones for disrupting their routine of ummm... cloud kicking. After they took out the six rainbow hadn't gotten they came after me and the boisterous pegasus. By this time I'd managed to fend off rainbow for the time being but taking out three is a mite difficult especially when your a lot smaller and lighter a well as the fact that hooves hurt when you get smashed in the beak and wings. and so I was beaten out of the sky. six times untill they found out I was switching with my clones, which is hard to keep creating new ones. we reached the edge of town by this point their "alliance" had disbanded and rainbow came shooting back at a signifficantly weakened me. attempting to punch (with her hoof) me in the wing they had managed to pummel as a group. The fact is that by this point im really tired and dont really have the energy to dodge. and so I used her own speed against her grabbing the mane and spinning her into a bakery that we happened to be passing after the dust cleared I saw a group of six normal horses, eight unicorns and ten pegasi staring out the window at me as I hovered outside the hole rainbow made in the wall. "well shi-" And of course I was punched in the gut again. knocked to the ground this time I noticed that the rainbow one had left me to be pummeled by the ponies in line for a snack at the bakery named sugar cube corner. And being rather annoyed about being attacked by groups of horses, I do the only thing that come to mind. I create a blizzard and knock them all away after it dies down I realise I went a little overboard and now the entire town is coated in snow and I have inadvertently converted all of this town into phoenix haters. "just brilliant" and now of course I can see rainbow hair sticking out of a snow pile taking this opportunity while im not being thrashed I take off and fly back towards the forest but not before being chased by an angry mob. And of course as I reach solars house and change back to my horse form I cross the line and rainbow shoots across a second behind me. "Well congratulations I guess on winning but was covering the town in snow really necessary" "NO I DID NOT DO THAT TO WIN" "Why did you do it?" "I was being pummeled by horses and used too much magic" "wait wait wait" said the purple one interrupting my pleasant with cell "how did you a pegasus use magic not to mention the fact that would have made my self the element of magic go into a coma and leave celestia with a migraine for a good few months, also how in the name of tartarus did you turn into and back from a bird" "I'm not a damn pegasus" "Well you look it" So I may of annoyed one of the horses after we got off topic by after saying I didnt like apples or fruit of anykind. However of this conversation and the time in this world I have discovered one thing. My ice armour looks awesome now. It's also effective to stop hooves from kicking me. At this point the orange one is sitting on the ground cradling her back hooves. setting up a wall in front of them I turned and walked back to the house. entering I asked of so politely "Where the hell is a bed" "Someone's in a nice mood" "I froze half of ponyville was it? got pummeled by half the population and won a race so yeah i'm in a bad mood" "He also nearly broke the orange ones hoof" called out celeste walking back into the house after melting the wall outside "You actually went hoof to hoof with applejack" "No she kicked him when he put ice armour up" "Damn" "APPRENTICE I REQUIRE ASSISTANCE" came a call from the cellar "goddess damnit. PINKIE I'M NOT YOUR APPRENTICE" "what is the deal with that apprentice thing" "long story I'll tell you when I get back" Solar walked off down the hall and down the stairs to his cellar. leaving me Cell and Mariah who was reading a book to our own devices. "I still don't know where a bed is" I grumbled ~ Fourth floor down. Third hallway. Fifth door on the right.~ Mariah continued reading. Walking down the same stairs Solar went down I realised this was nothing like our old home. It was near identical minus all the specific habitats but a massive open room underground with a forested over area and lake. And so instead of going down there where pinkie was wearing some kind of steampunk jacket working on a weird machine. I followed Mariahs directions and when I reached the room instantly collapsed.
ch 1A slightly wrinkled sheet of paper is gently pushed onto a desk “Who placed this note on my desk” grumbles the old wrinkled substitute teacher. As she glances up she sees a student standing in front of her. She begins to snarl then leans in closer to the girl who seems to be standing in front of her rummaging around in her bag her hand with a watch placed on the edge of her desk she leans further in and glares “Young woman what are you doing giving me a note instead of just speaking to me” the girl glances up and points at the note before lowering her head and continues searching her bag. “SPEAK GIRL” She leans back in her chair “I can't read your mind“ at this comment a small smile developed on the girls face as she leaned in a bit further into her bag soon she pulled out a small silver voice recorder and handed it to the impatient substitute teacher. After a few seconds of the teacher staring blankly at her she finally presses the play button on the recorder and the message played “Hello” a female voice emanates from the recorder “You must be either a substitute teacher or a new teacher this is just a message to say my daughter Mariah is and has been mute from birth so please assist her in any way you can thank you”.the teacher at the front of the room goes pale with embarrassment, at this two boys in the back of the class smirk to each other as Mariah retakes her seat. “Mariah” said one of the to boys that were sitting up the back “what was that like the fourth time this year” “Max not now were walking back home anyone could overhear” ~Yes Max it was the fifth time, Sol why are always so overprotective its not as if others can just break into a telepathic conversation~ ~Test. oh ok you did set up a link that’ll help~ ~Max if you give me a migraine again I swear~ ~Mariah I said sorry like twenty times~ “You two are crazy” said Sol shaking his head “Also where was Celeste today” ~Regeneration cycle or something along those lines~ thought Mariah “I don't know about you but I just wanna to go home get changed and go flying” “Max we are walking down the street anyone could overhear seriously” ~Isn't your regeneration cycle three days after Cell’s?~ “Well great I hate my cycles” “and your sister doesn't” “actually she doesn't really mind” ~I would point out we have long talks about the fact she hates them~ “Well thats new” “Any way Max theres the house i’ll race you and if you morph I swear i'll get you back” “dangit” ~what about me~ “no teleports and” Sol finished ~3~ “2” “1” ~GO~ a new voice shouted? causing the boys to trip while Mariah laughed silently ~Cell how long have you been in the link~ ~Max I've been here for a good three minutes~ ~So how far through the regeneration cycle are you~ ~Yeah.... I’m sitting a little pile of ash i could use some help feathers...~ ~Aren't easy to clean I know~ “You done yet” “No Sol I’m not” “Ok have fun I’m gone” As Sol walked off towards their small wooden home on the outskirts of the city Mariah stopped laughing silently and began waiting for Max to dust himself off and head back to meet up with his sister. soon they reached the quaint wooden home opening the door the three of them walked up the steps towards the bedrooms. “You guys should stay outside phoenix regenerations aren't exactly pretty” Max warned “The room looks ok now its just kinda.... on fire annnnnnnd covered in ash” Celeste said over the sound of wingbeats “I’m gonna go underground i'm getting a bit hungry” said Sol as he was enwrapped in dark green flame which slid down his body replacing the school clothes he was wearing with a verdant green t-shirt and khaki shorts with a stripe of red yellow and blue when Sol finished both Max and Mariah were enwrapped in aquamarine and violet flames respectively Max came out wearing blue T-shirt and shorts with a flame on the center, Mariah came out with a white shirt with a large stripe of purple diagonally with the top on her right hand shoulder. As Sol was beginning to leave Max opened the door to his sisters room revealing a large bird covered in ash staring back at the three of them. üh yeah so.....” Celeste began awkwardly “I may need some help putting out these fire’s and getting this ash off” ~I got it don’t worry~ “Do what you want to i'm getting something to eat then i'm gonna clean the tundra and lake. Cell when your done its your turn to fix the lighting system Max Mariah you good for cooking?” “Hey Mariah could you maybe use some tk and get this ash off me” ~I got it birdie~ “I'm not a birdie, I'm a phoenix” Mariah moved her hands together and pushed them apart channeling energies unknown to most humans as she pushed her hands apart the ash covering Celeste flew off and hovered a few meters away from her revealing a golden and red eagle looking bird with aquamarine tail feathers then Mariah grabbed all the ash in the room off of the wall and placed it into a plastic garbage bag which was dropped in front of Celeste. “Thanks Mariah let me just change back” “I’m gonna go make something to eat” ~Ok Max i'll be there in a sec~ Celeste ruffled her feathers then was encased in golden flame and after it was gone all that remained was Max’s twin standing there smiling. Sol walked down the hall hearing them still talking and thinking about how quickly he could clear the tundra so he could swim in the lake. after reaching the bottom of the stairs he took a sharp left into their small living room “why we decided to go with the most cliche of secret entrances is completely beyond me” Sol sighed as he pulled on a book rotating a bookshelf and opening a door to an elevator. after a few seconds of rumbling it reached the bottom the doors opened revealing a massive underground cave with artificial biomes a tundra, lake, miniature shield volcano and in the center a crater with crystals coming out of the ground and crackling with different auras of energy. ~Hey Mariah you feel like emeralds tonight?~ ~Sure sounds nice, get some topaz as well~ ~On it~ “Ok time to morph and get this over with” A green flame enveloped Sol again as the flame dissipated Sol stood there but not as a human or phoenix but as a dragon with a stripe of scales interchanging colours of red, blue and yellow from tail to head through the center of the spine. the rest of the his scales were a dark green. at about half the height of the average human slightly smaller than a doorway and two meters long this was a rather impressive sight. using his tail Sol dug up and then smashed some emeralds and topaz from their crystal farm before levitating them back into a small satchel by the elevator before changing back and traveling back up the elevator and through the bookshelf. entering the living room he saw Celeste on her way down to fix the light in the tundra which had been on the brink for a while. “Have fun birdie” Sol smirked “Save it I hate the cold” Cell snarled ”In any case i’m gonna be late back im gonna stop by the volcano to warm up after” “CELL” Max came running through the living room “Oh hey just wondering do you feel like fish or just some of last nights lamb? because we need some more fish otherwise” “guys i have to deliver some gemstones...” “oh ok sorry” “Cell why are you apologizing” “Sol just go past, now Cell you good to go hunting or what?” said Max as Sol continued walked past “yeah Max i'll go hunting after I fix the lights and warm up at the volcano” said Celeste with a blank face and a sarcastic tone. “Ok ok Cell i'll go grab some fish and bring it back” ~Sol where are the gems i've finished the twins seasoning all i need is the the fish and gems~ ~I’m on my way mariah i'll be back and Sol’s nearly there~ Max encased himself in a blue flame and morphed into a ird the same as Celeste’s but with the blue taking the place of the gold with golden tail feathers. then he flew out the open window and headed off towards the beach on the other side of town at quite a fast speed. meanwhile mariah got the gemstones Sol collected and transformed into her own dragon form. after the purple flame subsided what remained was a white and purple scaled dragon with the white scales running a pattern around her body from tail to golden horns she was slightly smaller than Sols dragon form but at the same time still large enough to be quite threatening. then she picked up the assorted gems of topaz and emerald and began compacting them together with telekinesis trying to crush them together to the point where they wouldn’t fall apart after creating this block of crystal she set it down and began creating another one of the crystal blocks when she had finished the four blocks she laid them out and started looking for Max. ~Hey Max where are you~ ~b..y c.a.. t... ...~ ~Celeste, Sol I can't reach Max with my telepathy somethings wrong~ Two yells came from the other end of the house simultaneously “Were on our way meet us at the lake” Mariah proceeded to rush out the front door and after taking a couple of seconds to stretch her wings took off heading over the city the night sky provided a free camouflage for her purple scales. A bolt of electricity shot down in front of her illuminating the sky and revealing a falling phoenix. Mariah then mouthed “Thats not good” swooping down she caught Max in her paws and looked up seeing celeste falling and Sol who now had switched the colour of his scales to having yellow as his main with green taking its place on his back limping his way down the roof of a commercial building. Mariahs eyes lit up in a violet aura glowing brightly and time slowed down celeste fell slowly towards the ground and sol was nearly on the roof she placed Max down and flew as quickly as she could over to celeste picking her up the same way she had Max and carrying her over to sol before letting the aura which had built up from just around her eyes to surrounding whole draconian body dissipate and time retook its normal pace as she went to pick up Max and carry him back to Sol. “Hey Mariah nice of you to show up, enjoy your leisurely flight?” ~Oh shut up and pass out already~ “Sounds nice but I thought I should tell you Max and Cell have broken wings and yeah I think passing out sounds nice but your gonna need help to teleport us back” Mariahs expression shifted from glaring to just sighing in defeat ~come on help me out with this~ with curled up on the top of the building mariah dropped max next to cell and sat next top Sol and began channeling again a teleport with Sol pitching in to boost the power a flash of multicoloured light and they were all in the caverns underneath their home in the crystal crater changing back and rushing over to a seam of emeralds in the center working frantically she shaped them into four malleable emerald bandages for max and celeste and then rushed up to grab the emerald and topaz blocks she had made earlier. Bringing them down she noticed Sol had passed out after setting up Max and Cell into positions where she could fix their wings easily. After applying the crystal bandages she changed back to human and went to check on Sol. After checking all she found was his right wrist was broken some major bruising and his left foreleg was dislocated. After setting his leg and going back to check on the twins The doorbell rang. End chapter one.
ch 2Warily Mariah edged towards the door. Again the person out the front knocked... Grinding her teeth she dashed forwards ripped open the door and threw a punch at a police officer’s face. Losing the adrenaline she’d had since arriving in the city she leant against the door for support. At this moment Max stumbled his way to the door and looked from the unconscious officer to Mariah then back again “You ma’am are an unmitigated genius” the look the injured bird received back was nothing more than an icy glare “On another note this emerald really does have rather nice healing properties my wings they feel alot better” ~Thank you but what do we do about him~ “Saaaay...... Say I flew out and hit him and that i’m a rare species of bird it’ll be funny” ~Your wings are bandaged......~ “It was one of your punches he’ll be out for a few more minutes say you bandaged me after you brought him in as I hurt my wings” ~Ok one tiny problem~ “What?” ~I’m mute~ “Hey guys you catch the number plate of the car that hit me” “Perfect your up. Celeste could you” “Yes max I caught the conversation and I haven't been living under a rock. My wing hurts like I got run over thanks for asking” ~Cell morph back and help me get him inside~ “On it” Mariah and Celeste went to the side of the officer and began to carry him into their living room dumping him down they both went and got a perch for Max to sit on to try and complete the illusion as Max went to sit on the lounge opposite the officer. While they were away the officer woke up “Aww crap my head... wait what am I doing here WHO got me drunk this time” “squawk” “Hello little birdie do you know where I am” ~Girls hes awake lemme have some fun with him~ “What am I saying you probably have no idea where I am” At the finish of this sentence Max jumped up and stumbled his way over to a globe nearby their secret elevator jumped up and pointed to Australia. At this the cop was stunned after he shook his head to stop his eyes from widening anymore. Max squawked happily. ~Max are you done yet~ said Celeste through the psychic link ~No not yet~ ~Good cause this is hilarious i'm having trouble not laughing~ ~Your stealthed aren't you~ ~Yes actually i’m busy sitting on top of the open door.. oh oh ooooh I got a great idea Mariah come in and introduce yourself~ ~I don't really want to~ ~Just go for it~ “So you must be a very smart bird huh strange feather colour scheme to boot” ‘squawk’ At this Mariah walked in. “Ah finally” the officer said “Do you own this bird?” She nodded “Ok because i was just wondering what these bandages are made of they look almost crystalline” Mariah tilted her head for a questioning look and as the officer was looking at her used tk to swap out the emerald for some big leaves off of a tree in the room “Excuse me miss but do you know where you mother or father are I was here to ask if you know anything about what just happened above the city. We've sent out officers to houses all over the place.” Mariah grabbed a brochure off of the table for a restaurant in the city. “Oh ok well miss I would like to be able to hear the person i'm speaking to speak back” Mariah pointed to her throat while opening and closing her mouth. “Oooh i'm sorry Miss I didn't know” ~Ok we've got him feeling bad, time to creep him out~ “Hey you've woken up here have a drink sorry but Mariah is mute” Celeste said from behind the couch the officer was sitting on holding a cup of coffee in her one good arm. “how did you get there” “I walked in through the door went around behind the chair sat there wearing my invisibility cloak watching you two squirm in an awkward conversation with a mute then froze time visited my dragon friend came back here unfroze time and spent a couple of seconds spouting absolute bull. Do you want the drink or not.” “uhhh yes... Thanks miss?” “I’m Celeste and thats Mariah. If you're looking for Mariah’s parents they're out right now i'm here to help with Max” “who’s max?” “The bird that flew out the door and hit you in the face” “That is a very smart bird” “We know, oh i'll be right back” Celeste walked out the door channeled a small quantity of energy and walked back in nearly totally invisible. keeping to the far walls celeste sneaked past everyone in the room with m\Mariah staring intently in Cell’s direction watching her every move as the officer took another look over Max again. “This is a very interesting species of bird you have here does he belong to you or your parents” mariah turned her head back to the cop and nodded. “Do you know where he came from and are there any others?” ~Mariah nod twice I have a plan~ ~oh please no~ ~Max be quiet yeah i'm nodding~ “Ok so is that two yeses? “ She nodded “Ok do you know where the other is? I'm rather interested” While the conversation was happening Celeste had slipped out again and morphed back into her phoenix form at this she realised her wing was still broken. She hopped back into the room and stared from Max to the officer and back again three times then squawked and went to sit next to Max. “These two are very different birds are they a different species?” Mariah shook her head then pointed from cell to herself. “ok so the golden one is female?” She nodded as Max nuzzled Celeste ~ok we've had our fun lets get him out of here~ ~ok cell can you come back in?~ ~yup~ Cell got up from the chair with Max and helped him stumble his way out using her one good wing to help stabilize him. Once clear they changed back to their respective human forms celeste’s arm once again in a single sling whereas max was in bad shape with both his arms slung. “What happened to you? I mean one arm but two were you in a fight?” “No officer I was rock climbing and you can put the rest together” “Oh i just realised I haven't introduced myself yet i’m officer....” At this moment sol walked into the living room in his dragon form grumbling about damnable black blobs of dark magic went into the kitchen grabbed a handful of crystals and went back underground through the secret bookcase. “Well crap” max sighed “Come on we’ll explain everything” ~well ok i've added him the the psychic lattice~ ~The what~ ~You guys wouldn't name it so I did the psychic lattice sounds good right?~ ~Why are you people in my head~ ~Just follow the mute~ ~Hey I have a name~ ~Quiet you two~ Cell walked up to the bookcase door and opened it walking through the officer warily followed them down the elevator and into the caverns below. “Dear God” exclaimed the cop “You know I still haven't said my name” ~Hello sgt John Miller perfect name for a cop don't you think~ “Ooooh kaaay the mute is a telepath and can read my mind. Who slipped me the drug” “Well atleast I can get my wings some air you know its annoying to not be healing in phoenix form its much faster like three hours faster.” ”What phoenix?” "I know but he was here you were out for a while already so it should just be one more hour till you can fly again” “excuse me what's happening here” they stopped walking just before reaching the crystal crater “Ok John can i call you John” “Uhh yes lady who is apparently a bird what can I do for you” “I prefer Cell or Celeste but anyway would you rather sit by a lake for when you pass out or next to a small volcano that I may have to get Sol to lower the magma pressure” “WHAT” he exclaimed “Wait who is sol” “He walked past you like a minute ago” “He was that giant lizard thing” “Well he was a dragon but yeah i guess that fits” “Guys please be quiet i’m trying to rest” came a voice from over the rock edge of the crater followed by a sleepy horned reptilian head that said “Whose this guys” At this the officer fell over and fainted. You know what waking up after you fainted standing on rocks isn't usually pleasant waking up on rocks surrounded by two phoenixes with broken wings a big yellow dragon with a badly hurt wrist and leg and a big purple dragon with one of the aforementioned phoenixes on its head. “uhhh hi please don't eat me” “we won’t” the little blue bird he recognised from up stairs the golden one on the purple dragons head just stared at the blue one “we’re just gonna explain all of the facts so you don't freak out and/or go tell some people where we are” “ok he's seen me talk can I go back to sleep now my head hurts” said the yellow dragon “oh i'm still in lighting form thats why i'm still hurting” his scales changed in colour the yellow switching places with the blue on his back and making him look much darker than before “ok now I'm in water form I'm going to the lake” The dragon took off into the air screaming something about shit and leg and freaking wrist. “Now about above the city half of this will be confidential the other go home and tell your friends” ~I’m gonna sit this one out I wasn’t there~ “Ok we flew out there after Max” she pointed to the blue phoenix “Who was being attacked by a dark entity that all we know freakin rofl stomped us and let me demonstrate how hard that is” Celeste said as she turned nearly invisible and ran off leaving nothing but small amounts of dust. John lost track of her once she started running until she dropped her stealth and burst into flames flying straight at him the fire began to peel off and circle her in an elliptical orbit with blades of flames coming from most sides of the circle which she launched at him feeling as if she was about to kill him he closed his eyes and as he did Max raised his wings and did the same thing except with ice and launched back an identical shaped blast of ice energy once he felt the cold from the ice being formed John miller opened his eyes and saw the ice colliding with fire and having the ice melt away and the fire dissipate into nothingness. “Overdoing it a bit I see Celeste you're too reckless” “Anyway after we showed up we help Max for a bit did that along with Sols lighting abilities” “What? Sols lightning abilities?” “Ok Sol and Mariah along with myself and stealthing troll of a sister all died along with our parents about six years ago on a train the four of us were on our way up to sydney for a fun trip I mean with all of us being eight traveling from palm beach down to sydney for a birthday really exciting up until you know the thing that just kicked our asses and left me with two arms hurt badly however on that note my right arms feeling better I think the crystal cast can be taken off now” Mariah walked over to assist Max all the while staring at Celeste’s arm as well “Yeah Mariah im good I think i'll leave it to set a bit more and i still have one free arm” she said while waving “So that thing absolutely destroyed the train just to find us and after reaching us basically killed everyone else by exploding the train and then took us out one at a time. Now is the part where everything goes to hell a Chronokeeper showed up and resurrected us and gave us different abilities such as Mariah's telepathy and telekinesis and Cells ability to stealth. Then explained the fact that the thing was after us because of the genetic codes that were inside us as our parents were the perfect match we acquired the ability to become phoenixes and dragons respectively. Apparently we were destined to be friends as our genetic code just makes us get along. And now you may ask but Mariah and Sol are from different families how are they both dragons. They are different species of dragon. The Elementali and Time Guardians, Time Guardians are the Chronokeepers own friends and guard force. Eventually over the past six years we've learnt to use these abilities gone out there to help Max when the thing attacked him and been basically oh forget it in the name of my stealthing troll of a sister” “I'm still here” she called from across the cavern “Roflstomped us” Sol flew over landed and facepawed “Ok max I just facepawed so shut up ~You know I never got to eat I mean with you getting attacked and looking after this one~ “What do you eat?” ~Crystals and for an interesting fact certain crystals have special properties on mythical or powerful creatures as you would call them~ “Ok thats normal” “Yes it kinda is once you get used to it’ “Hey cell your back” “Yes john i'm back but now i’m gone again” she said while turning invisible “Stealthing troll of a sister” “I'm still here” she said “And i’m still talking to a bird this is so strange” “ok i'll change back” She was enveloped in a golden flame and came out standing up holding a cup of coffee in her good arm. after receiving a look of amazement she said “Well you didn't drink it”
ch 3"IT WAS A CUP OF COFFEE SITTING THERE AND I WAS FEELING LIKE SOME COFFEE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A WASTE" "Seriously Cell what are you on about I didn't ask about any coffee" "Stupid people being wasteful and expecting me to do the same" "Cell what are you on about" "Oh forget it Max" The pair continued walking in silence until they reached their respective rooms "Well g'night think the officer guy’ll say anything" "Nope hes probably too scared" "YOU THREW FIRE AT HIM. what did you expect" "Well I didn't expect him to bolt out the door once he got out of the elevator" "Whatever you say, see you tomorrow" The sun rose, bird sang and Max woke up a with massive migraine that felt as if he had been run over by a train. Stumbling around in his room looking for the door when he walked into it with his broken arms. realising that he was still really hurt he went and just sat down looking out the windows and thought about their current situation seeing as how the big whirling mass of whatever it was is still out there they were still in danger. but to make matters worse the had to make a letter to excuse the three of them from school for the day. "And people miss childhood. This is just great now we have to put together another illusion to go and sort it out next time we go in why Mariah insists on going to the strictest school in the area I will never understand" Max grumbled to himself before getting up and opening the door through a painstaking process of raising and lowering his still hurting but now mobile arm to get in position for the door knob. Once outside he headed down the steps towards the kitchen trying to get a feel for who was awake to judge the time of day. Cell was awake and with Mariah trying to convince her that adding rubies to her topaz and emerald block thingies would be a bad idea but Sol looked to still be out so either it was before 5:20am or he was unconscious. Judging from the fact Cell was nearly shouting at Mariah while she worked trying to get the blocks done she was keeping her cool and frustrating Cell to no end after a bit Max decided watching this was getting him nowhere instead favouring to just grab what was left of the lamb they'd had two days ago. Peeling back the glad wrap and slicing off some pieces onto a plate Max walked off into the living room to sit down and accidentally bumping into Celeste on the way triggered a barrage of questions relating to how long he'd been downstairs and why emeralds wouldn't mix with rubies because of their special properties. Half ignoring it and just being unable to understand it due to the migraine he was suffering Max went and sat down getting a random book off of the shelf to use as a tray while he ate. Sitting on the floor he could barely begin to hear other things over his sisters laughter and yelling..... and sarcastic comments. Beginning to eat now he started getting annoyed at his sisters incessant yelling. Looking at the book he was holding "Interactions between powerful creatures and crystals: a reference guide" "may as well" Opening the cover towards the index and promptly looked for the section on phoenixes after finding it he began reading and found some facts like ice and fire phoenixes are separate in what crystal effects do. For example an amethyst for an ice breed would have no effect whatsoever whereas with a fire breed the same crystal would induce a conscious paralyzed state with nothing more than the ability to move one's eyes, breathe and talk for an hour per gram swallowed. an evil grin spread over Max's face but disappeared when Celeste grabbed him and dragged him into the kitchen screaming about how pears are terrible and she prefers star fruit and asking his opinion on the subject. "Cell reason number 1 why you should shut up I have a freaking migraine reason 2 since becoming a BIRD OF PREY I can’t stand fruit however tomatoes are ok and reason 3" Max froze Celeste solid in a block of ice leaving her mouth and nostrils open to the air. Of forget it i just realised what i said this is gonna hurt now open up" opening her mouth Max used his right arm to lift the gem encrusted meat into celestes mouth all the while grimacing in pain. after she swallowed Max handed her the book and as she walked over to the lounge room reading down the page the Max had opened the book to and looked to be having trouble standing up and sat down. "You know max that was a good one now where is the part where I feel like I am being hampered... in any way" "take a look out the window and you'll see why" staring outside and her eyes widening in shock a storm was brewing and while max was dealing with her, Mariah had gone outside and set up a lawn chair in the rain. Sol opened the door to the living room from the underground and walked in and saw a very odd sight Cell was outside in the rain with no protection with her brother sitting in a hollowed out block of ice laughing his head off. Shaking his head and looking away he turned on the television set and was greeted with "It seems the weather burea are wrong again instead of the forcast sunny day we ended up having a thunder storm. In other news the mysterious dark clouds that were seen brewing over the city center early last night have had a breakthrough with video footage of what is believed to be a phoenix on fire charging into the heart of the storm." "Thats right not only that but we have an officer who was wearing recording equipment who claims to have gone to a house to ask questions and been to some extent held half captive by the same phoenix here is a small snippet of the sound file. So by the looks of things he was wearing the wire, or whatever its called" "Well shi.." knock knock knock Three head swiveled towards the door "Fight flight or just talk" "I vote option three after I take a hot shower damnit Max" "YOU KNOW OPENING THE DOOR WOULD BE NICE. WE HAVE GUESTS" "This is the Sydney police department we just wish to talk" "Also i'm Professor Terrigan" "Max drop the act they know basically everything" Opening the door Max stepped through slightly wet but all the same in better condition than the officers clothes. "Mariah why are your eyes closed?" As soon as these words were uttered Max and everyone else in the room was blasted back all except for one officer. Named John Miller who now had an evil grin spread over his face. Which swiftly disappeared when he noticed Sol. In yellow dragon form. charging a laser. aimed at his face. by the time he looked back to Mariah a number of the potted plants in the room had been picked up and thrown at it/him quickly transforming back into its normal form the dark blob began creating clouds around the home. lightning began striking the ground. As the entire house blew up exposing a small area of the underground caverns. During the confusion Mariah had shielded the officers and professor who was writing down everything that happened. Max and Cell both shot off into the air the moment the roof was blown off one of which muttering curses in pain as they flew off. Taking up perches in the remaining areas of the cavern. Celeste moved first stealthing and moving off to flank the weird blob of darkness. Followed by Max who made six duplicates of himself and scattered himself and these copies to the wind. The blob took a solid form the shape of a human in a robe but remained the same indistinguishable black colour as before. Mariah stayed human and grabbed a multitude of rocks off of the ground making a shield around Sol as he changed from lightning to wind green scales replacing the yellow ones and returning to the ridge on his back. All but immediately after this process finished a Tornado appeared in front of Sol and began tearing up the area even this was enough force to move the dark entity Max and Cell had been smart enough on the other hand to fly away before anything happened Mariah prepared to teleport both herself and Sol out of there when ominous call echoed out across all of the surrounding area including sydney itself striking fear into the hearts of all it crossed paths with shaking their very souls “If you shall not come willingly and seek to destroy me in the process know now that we shall meet again and when we do it shan’t be pretty for you. However, that would be what I would say if i were to be defeated no I shall never be defeated but on the same note you shall and by the predecessors I swear to end you on this day here and now” By this time Max and Cell had re-joined Sol and Mariah as they teleported out of the cavern and watched the tornado be brushed aside morphing back to human the stood side by side Sol’s shirt turned yellow, Mariah began floating, the ground beneath Celeste and Max froze and caught alight respectively and they began charging a beam of energy aimed to destroy the dark being. Oh pitiful how pitiful you have no chance the dark being raised its pinkie and shot out a beam the size of a banana at a nearby tree, that tree soon became an astronaut with a hole in it that was on fire. “We won't give up not yet anyway” they launched back their reply and the eerie shadow of a person sent his reply a full on blast with both his hands in an overly dramatic dragon ball z (tm) kame hame ha position which blasted straight through their beam and into the ground behind the illusion they were still standing there faded and they came up behind and blasted him again this time piercing straight through him and into the ground below “ha you actually made me pull out my trump card well done but not well enough" It laughed as a massive explosion went off and the surrounding area was devastated the caverns destroyed the officers and professor who had gotten a video camera now were all blasted back and seriously injured. when the dust settled all that remained was a perfectly circular hole where they had been fighting. To this day no one on earth ever heard from those four again. Although I must add they certainly didn't die.
ch 4::Mariah:: So this thing better work or else this will be a MASSIVE pain. Hello I'm Mariah and this is a recording of what happened when we were thoroughly destroyed and sent to the magical world of Equestria. I was the last one to come to after the fight turns out I hadn’t broken my arm so that was a plus what was a negative was the fact that I no longer had arms to break. Attempting to rise to all four hooves is rather a pain when the only experience you have of it is as a dragon and dragons have a completely different anatomy to unicorns. What was also rather annoying was the fact that who I believed to be Celeste chattering away senselessly turned out to be a pink horse in front of me blabbering away continually without end. I got up slowly and began scratching my head slowly. I didn't understand what was going on but being naturally cautious I stayed silent. Soon a purple horse had walked over and pushed the pink one out of the way she walked over to me and began talking “Hello my name is Twilight Sparkle and you just materialised in my library.” Right afterwards a black horse with a yellow and red speckled mane “Twi no offence but that was terrible, Hey my name is Solar Flare and this is the country of Equestria now how did you get here and do you know how to get back.” I pointed to my throat and began mimicking speaking. The purple one picked up a nearby sandwich with magic and butted in saying “How did you say anything different to me! Also are you a mute pony?” At the conclusion of this sentence my eyes widened and I looked in a mirror my reflection not exactly what I expected but it makes sense. I was nearly identical to this Twilight Sparkle Except for the fact the pink streak in her mane and tail was white for me and my coat was slightly darker also I was a mite taller along with the fact I didn't have a brand/tattoo thing. “Excuse me but have you never seen your own reflection” I pointed towards my throat. “Oh sorry. uuuh, that's a yes or no. Is this the first time you’ve seen your reflection.” I had no other options at this point I would either tell them everything or stay silent and endure this awkward conversation. In three seconds I reached out and searched all their memories for reasons to hurt me. Checking the one named twilight I saw only worry and good intentions. the stallion had similar thoughts however one section of his mind was closed off and I wasn't going any further in. The pink ones mind was.... disturbing. And no I'm not about to tell you what I saw. opening a telepathic link I began speaking and told them the same story that had been recited the day before. Editing the parts before so as to they believed we were older when we died and leaving out the parts after we died. All I received in return was a now saddened pink horse with droopy hair a stunned purple unicorn, and a calculating stare searching me looking for faults in my story from the one named Solar Flare. Soon after the black one spoke up “I believe her and I can get the princesses to get that spell I used to send the Pokémon/humans home l can send you and your friends home if you so wish” I thought for a moment and came to the conclusion that going back was a bad idea we’d been revealed and all that was left for us was fame and possibly testing at the hands of scientists, shaking my head I told them sending us back would be a bad idea. I walked outside and was promptly bowled over by a dark blue stallion with a gold mane and tail Pegasus and a cyan mare Pegasus with rainbow hair suddenly a purple aura enveloped us all. And well I sort of panicked. Teleporting to the source of the magic I shot a small pulse out of my horn and promptly shot Twilight in the face blasting her back into the library and creating a pile of books on the floor. The stallion stared at me and said “M Mariah?” My eyes shot open and I stared back It was Max I was about to open a link to him but the cyan mare had other ideas swiftly pummelling him into the ground with her hooves and then coming after me screaming something about hurting her friend. I sidestepped her and lifted her up so she couldn't move. Speaking to Max I grunted out ~please tell her to stop struggling and that her friend should be fine it was just knockback magic the bookcase would have hurt more and that I apologize for panicking~ “Mariah that is a long message I’ve forgotten half of it already” I glared back at him “Ok ok I'll tell her” “So you are a telepath, Interesting I will be back” the black stallion after finishing his message galloped out. “Rainbow haired one your friend is fine she’s just buried under books also please stop struggling and Mariah here wishes to apologize for panicking” “and who made you the grand interpreter” “She's a mute telepath and doesn't exactly trust you” As this conversation was going on I was busy digging out Twilight who groaned when she was uncovered. I grabbed some remaining emeralds I had and placed them on her forehead and let their energy seep into her after this was done she got up and glared at me. While the cyan one and Max had a fight I walked over and formally apologized to Twilight She breathed in, out and accepted. Then a shout rang out “I AM EASILY 20% FASTER THAN YOU” “Then how did I out run you until I collided with my friend here” “YOU HAD A HEAD START” “Why are you so angry can’t handle the fact I'm faster than you. Mariah put her down she needs to be taught a lesson” I sighed knowing the cyan one had no chance “Rainbow Dash decline this challenge for once in your life It’s not a good idea if he has nearly as much power as this one. I'm sorry what's her name uhhh Max was it?“ “Yes and her name is Mariah” “Twilight I expect even you to understand I can't turn down a challenge now put me down” The moment her hooves touched the ground Max made twelve illusionary copies of himself and yawned before making them all charge at her. Five seconds later Rainbow Dash was panting hard and the Max’s were yawning again. After figuring out that she wasn’t getting anywhere just flailing wildly at every illusion she came across. She decided to start flying through them to figure which one was real. When she got close Max punched her in the face and knocked her out. Meanwhile I had walked off searching for the others when a yellow horse pony thing tackled me and spurted these exact words. “Twilight please help me there's a phoenix in my house... why did you dye your mane, I- if you don't mind me asking.” the moment I heard the word phoenix everything else was put on hold, If max was busy “fighting” the rainbow one then it must be Celeste. I gently lifted her off of me and she ran off towards a small cottage on the outskirts following closely behind I began feeling a slight draft on my back. panicking three times in two days isn't really looking good for me is it. Spinning around I dove and knocked cell clean out of the air and onto the ground. Lifting her up I ran (galloped?) up and tapped the yellow horse that I now noted was a Pegasus on her shoulder realising that I had cell she grabbed her out of my hands. I don't know how and took her inside. after a little while the one named Twilight came running up panting with Max who was carrying an unconscious rainbow and sporting a black eye. I gave a short silent giggle. and turned back to the cottage which now had an open door and a Pegasus standing there open mouthed with a phoenix trying to get bandages off on her back. “hey Fluttershy” the unicorn said awkwardly “I sort of want you to meet Max and Mariah” Max grumbled something about a right hook then went over and tore the bandages off of cell to Fluttershy’s amazement and she subsequently fainted when cell sighed “Thank you and also since when are you a Pegasus” “Since I materialized in some other Pegasus's house made a joke about her being slow got chased away to this ones library knocked her unconscious and came looking for you sis” “WAIT WHAT. how is THAT your sister” exclaimed the cyan horse waking up I facepal- hoofed and continued on with my life there was still one more to find. I turned around and saw celeste laughing maniacally while the rainbow haired horse was trapped in a bubble of fire. And it was max’s turn to facehoof. “Cell change back I want to see if you were changed as well” “I know and I was I woke up as a horse thing. also why is Mariah nearly the same as the other purple one” ~I have no idea also don't change back we’ll need an aerial view to find Sol~ I told them as I morphed. I looked back and saw no problems with my transformation and just as I was about to take to the skies the yellow one woke up and started screaming alerting the rest of the town to my presence. Yeah not good. “Max an ice wall would be good about now” “I know cell but how do you channel magic in a quadruped body” Twilight spoke up with a now confused look on her face “um pegasi can’t use magic only unicorns and alicorns can do that” “Well shi-” “GET THE DRAGON.” “DRIVE IT OUT OF TOWN” “WE NEED MORE MONEY TO GO TO THE TOWNS ROADS” The entire mob stopped and stared at the stallion that shouted about needing better road care. I sighed and flew off. Interesting fact dragon scales are harder than hooves so when pegasi decided to start trying to bring me down they ended up just hurting themselves, Celeste wasn’t so lucky she actually had to fight back which wasn't exactly a hard thing to do for her. Many pegasi went to the hospital for third degree burns. eventually after much casual flying on my part max trying to blend in with the crowd by coming after me we landed in the nearby forest where none of the other horses would follow us. We found a shack after a few minutes of walking. The black horse I ran into earlier was leaving the quaint home, he locked eyes with me and lowered his horn then Cell and Max walked through the brush behind me. he seemed shocked when cell landed on my horns and glared back at him. Max still as a Pegasus walked up beside me and spoke calmingly “Look its us from back at the library well my sisters here now two but its us.” I shook cell off of me and began changing back. Walking towards him I heard him mutter “great more Shapeshifters” as a red beam shot down in front of me originating from the castle on a mountain. As the dust cleared all I could see was a weird animal that looked to be almost like a oriental dragon in shape but had its body covered in fur and a miss match of body parts from other animals. Believing it to be a chimera Max froze it solid and that's when the pink pony from the library shot confetti in my face with an oversized cannon giggled and then began setting up party supplies everywhere.
ch 5::Max:: Waking up being prodded by a blue horse isn't exactly high on my to do list but hey it happened. "Hey mister you gonna wake up and tell me why you're asleep underneath my house" "Yes by all means lean on my wing that was broken all but one day ago" "Oh sorry" "Who are you" I said surprised looking at the small horse" "Who am I. I, Am the one and only RAINBOW DASH." "Insert crickets here" I muttered sarcastically "Hey no need to be rude to the fastest flyer in equestria" "Your species must have a hard time maximizing your speed your bodies are too large waaay too much air friction to maximise your speed" "What are you talking about? wait are you an egghead. also you're a pegasus too." "To answer your questions in order. You're an idiot. By your definition yes and shit" "Answer my question" "I said you're species shouldn’t be able to fly very fast as your bodies are too big" "You calling me fat I’m gonna get you back for that" And as such she proceeded to punch me in the gut still laying on my back I froze her and tried to fly off realising her hoof was on my wing. Pushing her off I shot out from underneath took stock of my new form and began working my new wings. Now not being a cruel being I had frozen that pegasus or whatever in a thin layer of ice and as such she had broken out and had taken off towards me at high speed, she flew at me and I sidestepped as I heard a sonic boom. Yes you heard it here first folks minature horses can create sonic booms.in any case she was gaining on me so I casually create copies and split off flying erratically worked. Until I flew into Mariah and was pummeled by the blue horse. And now to skip ahead. We had made our way out of the city after being chased by that insane mob after finding the horse from before lowering his head and glaring threateningly at Mariah after calming him down I noticed a small twinkle appear on the edge of a castle situated on top of a mountain which subsequently got bigger and bigger until i realised it was a form of magic being launched at us. blasting the area in front of us and leaving behind what I believed to be a hairy chinese dragon with wings in a large crater. I was about to comment when a pink horse showed up sprayed confetti everywhere and pulled cakes out of slipspace. Well not really but they weren't where she got them from seconds before she went there. Ran up gave me and mariah party hats and then came up in my face and asked if I was having fun. "Who are you, where did this come from, why are you in my face and no" I said as the pink horse pushed further into my nose. "I'm Pinkie Pie and I’m here with my apprentice to throw you a party" The black horse outside the house called out "PINKIE I'M NOT YOUR APPRENTICE" "Solar Flare yes yes you are my apprentice' the black horse teleported over and sighed "We are partners I used to be your apprentice Pinkie" "Pinkie equals originality overload" ~Max shut up, and help me find your sister shes gone~ "Three two one and were all dead" As soon as Max finished his countdown cell flew through the tree (on fire) straight at Pinkie who pulled out a hose doused her, gave her a hug grabbed some cake and sat celeste on the plate. Solar flare walked over "That is my PARTNER pinkie pie. You three are to be kept informed of the entire situation we are two agents in one of the two branches of the equestrian secret service" "I have a good friend in our sister team, and hes my apprentice" Solar ground his teeth but said nothing. "Lets get this thing up and out of here" I said "Who Discord hes not a thing and he's awake" "Well pinke you never cease to amaze let us begin this little tango" Discord started dancing with a doll of Pinkie "and tell me why did that pony up in canterlot react so badly to being put in a maze so far as to the point he blew a hole in the canterlot wall and flew off." "Let me guess you are the god of being stupid" "Chaos my good sir CHAOS" "I hate being wet" grumbled my sister as she hopped back onto Mariahs head "Stupid other dimensions and stupid horse bodies" "I like you" said Discord pointing his tooth at my sister "But trust me you can’t just get Pinkie like that" he threw the tooth a a tree with a carving of himself on it the tooth landed back in place and Discord jumped out of the tree. "Discord why are you here aren't you meant to be doing somthing up at the castle" asked Solar Mariah turned around and walked off Cell flew over and sat on my head. "That is the wrong question the question is who are you why are you here and why did you get blasted here." "I am discord the living embodiment of chaos" "and your insane" I grumbled "who are you and more importantly how are you radiating so much magic, you're a pegasus right?" "no" "and you are" "used to be human" "and that is" "you would have no idea" "tell me" "I’m leaving" "Max can you get the water out of my feathers" I freeze the water and drag it out of Celeste's feathers then proceed to throw it at Discord "Discord go home. And Max stay here go inside make you and your sister feel at home, I'll go get your friend" "You are the one who asked for the beating" I muttered "I doubt she will. she could but I don't think she will" "Arrgh this is going nowhere" "Where's Pinkie" This pointless conversation continued for another six minutes. Until I froze everyone threw discord at the castle put solar inside let celeste down next to him went and found Mariah brought her back. and the following conversation ensued. "Your sister is insane" Started Discord "I'm right here" "I know, and I mean that to both of you" "I need more good help" "No your not taking my sister with you Discord" "Do I get a vote" "Yes" "I wish to stay with my brother" "Why did you interrupt" "Shut up" "How could we manage that without a massive number of unicorns I doubt even your powers are that strong" Said solar and subsequently followed up with "Ponyfeathers ignore that" "I hate it when she does that" "You are a very odd group of ponies" "DISCORD GO HOME" "Why is no one ever interested in some good old chaos" "Not the time" ~Ok we have a plan to track down Sol~ "Hey i'm back" called out pinke climbing through the window ~Just as were done really~ "Hello voice in my head do you want to be friends" Mariah facehoofed. "Pinkie right why are there five other sets of footsteps behind you" "Discord I thought you were leaving" "I’m just listening" "Anyway I got my friends to come and help solve the problem" Mariah facehoofed... again. "Pinkie there is no problem we just need to make a house and find our friend" As I said this another five horses entered through the door and one of which was the rainbow maned horse which I knocked out. she glared at me and said "race me now" "Oh really" "yes really" "lets get this over with" I said stepping outside "rules?" "none. just to the edge of ponyville and back" "the edge of where?" "The town you woke up in" "ok no rules?" "yes" "good" I said as I was engulfed in a blue flame and transformed into my phoenix form. "i'll judge If you want" said the purple one from back at the library "hurry up" I said getting a bit impatient "that is so weird hearing it from a bird" I rolled my eyes "3" I got into position "2" Flexed my left wing "1" Thought about what I was going to do "GO" I took to the skies and immediately Rainbow takes advantage of my now smaller size and no rules rule. Tackling me down as I came up and forcing a bit of a drop in speed which was soon taken advantage of on my part. I began making walls midair in front of the pegasus slowing her to dodge them. If I could stop this pegasus from breaking what I believe was the sound barrier I could win and humiliate her. Finally catching up I grabbed onto the back of her mane with my talons, pulling her up and over my head before flinging her down below me into the forest which was of course a bad idea. the horse shot out from below me and tried to punch me in the gut a second time that day barely rolling out of the way I made duplicates she flew up from underneath obviously not having learned her lesson from before. I made an Ice gauntlet or wing brace thing whatever. ideally I would have flown at her and let the brace take the impact but in an ideal situation I'm not fighting a horse that flies at mach 1. Spinning in a corkscrew I created a vortex of ice from the braces around myself, Rainbow however was undeterred and flew straight at me. A bad idea as I was no longer where she thought I was. I shot out of the vortex as a clone flew in front of her to block vision as she grappled with the clone another took my place in the storm by this time we were over the settlement and had attracted the attention of a number of rather irritable pegasi. Who now decided to get my clones for disrupting their routine of ummm... cloud kicking. After they took out the six rainbow hadn't gotten they came after me and the boisterous pegasus. By this time I'd managed to fend off rainbow for the time being but taking out three is a mite difficult especially when your a lot smaller and lighter a well as the fact that hooves hurt when you get smashed in the beak and wings. and so I was beaten out of the sky. six times untill they found out I was switching with my clones, which is hard to keep creating new ones. we reached the edge of town by this point their "alliance" had disbanded and rainbow came shooting back at a signifficantly weakened me. attempting to punch (with her hoof) me in the wing they had managed to pummel as a group. The fact is that by this point im really tired and dont really have the energy to dodge. and so I used her own speed against her grabbing the mane and spinning her into a bakery that we happened to be passing after the dust cleared I saw a group of six normal horses, eight unicorns and ten pegasi staring out the window at me as I hovered outside the hole rainbow made in the wall. "well shi-" And of course I was punched in the gut again. knocked to the ground this time I noticed that the rainbow one had left me to be pummeled by the ponies in line for a snack at the bakery named sugar cube corner. And being rather annoyed about being attacked by groups of horses, I do the only thing that come to mind. I create a blizzard and knock them all away after it dies down I realise I went a little overboard and now the entire town is coated in snow and I have inadvertently converted all of this town into phoenix haters. "just brilliant" and now of course I can see rainbow hair sticking out of a snow pile taking this opportunity while im not being thrashed I take off and fly back towards the forest but not before being chased by an angry mob. And of course as I reach solars house and change back to my horse form I cross the line and rainbow shoots across a second behind me. "Well congratulations I guess on winning but was covering the town in snow really necessary" "NO I DID NOT DO THAT TO WIN" "Why did you do it?" "I was being pummeled by horses and used too much magic" "wait wait wait" said the purple one interrupting my pleasant with cell "how did you a pegasus use magic not to mention the fact that would have made my self the element of magic go into a coma and leave celestia with a migraine for a good few months, also how in the name of tartarus did you turn into and back from a bird" "I'm not a damn pegasus" "Well you look it" So I may of annoyed one of the horses after we got off topic by after saying I didnt like apples or fruit of anykind. However of this conversation and the time in this world I have discovered one thing. My ice armour looks awesome now. It's also effective to stop hooves from kicking me. At this point the orange one is sitting on the ground cradling her back hooves. setting up a wall in front of them I turned and walked back to the house. entering I asked of so politely "Where the hell is a bed" "Someone's in a nice mood" "I froze half of ponyville was it? got pummeled by half the population and won a race so yeah i'm in a bad mood" "He also nearly broke the orange ones hoof" called out celeste walking back into the house after melting the wall outside "You actually went hoof to hoof with applejack" "No she kicked him when he put ice armour up" "Damn" "APPRENTICE I REQUIRE ASSISTANCE" came a call from the cellar "goddess damnit. PINKIE I'M NOT YOUR APPRENTICE" "what is the deal with that apprentice thing" "long story I'll tell you when I get back" Solar walked off down the hall and down the stairs to his cellar. leaving me Cell and Mariah who was reading a book to our own devices. "I still don't know where a bed is" I grumbled ~ Fourth floor down. Third hallway. Fifth door on the right.~ Mariah continued reading. Walking down the same stairs Solar went down I realised this was nothing like our old home. It was near identical minus all the specific habitats but a massive open room underground with a forested over area and lake. And so instead of going down there where pinkie was wearing some kind of steampunk jacket working on a weird machine. I followed Mariahs directions and when I reached the room instantly collapsed.
