The portal gun now comes in Yellow
Alec Mason, the one man that the EDF is hunting down for two reasons; One, he is part of the Red Faction. Two, he holds the nano forge with him and has weaponised it.
Since he had weaponised the nano forge the EDF have been trying to get their hands on it but every time they failed because the Nano Rifle as they now call it disintegrates anything it touches when shot at. Rocks, metal, glass and supposedly even people. Natalya, the genius who designed the weapon but is currently unable to replicate it had put a DNA lock on the weapon so that only she and Mason could shoot it, and shoot it he did.
Ever since he got his hands on the weapon Alec Mason has been shooting at EDF key structures belonging to the EDF and vehicles but avoiding personnel. With each shot fired, the object at the receiving end of the shot was consumed by a yellow field of nanites that deconstruct their matter. What happened to the matter you ask? Why, this is where we find out.
Ponyville, a pleasant little town that many outsiders would refer to as the boonies, however it is anything but. Ponyville has been subjected to the Rise of the Tyrant Sun Corona, been attacked by an Ursa minor, nearly burned down by Corona's pet Phoenix as well as many other things. But the citizens of Ponyville live on like nothing had ever happened. It is also home to the current bearers of the Elements of Harmony. Two such bearers who hold the elements of Magic and Generosity would be Trixie Lulamoon, Representative of the Night Court and Carrot Top, owner of a carrot farm in town.
Carrot Top called on the help of her friend Trixie as over the past few days, strange items have been appearing out of nowhere and in her back yard no less. Trixie took a few steps closer and started examining said items currently in a pile that is ever growing.
"Hmm... These look like steel girders and concrete." Trixie said as she tossed back one of the pieces back into the pile.
"I figured as much, but who would want to dump construction material mainly used in Manehatten as well as chunks of already hardened concrete in my back yard? I didn't even hear anypony bringing in the things and dumping it here!"
Trixie held a hoof up in thought thinking long and hard about who would want to dump random construction material here. "It must be Applejack, case closed." Trixie held a triumphant grin, holding her head high into the air as Carrot Top just stared blankly at her.
"Trixie, why would Applejack of all ponies dump all this stuff here?"
"Simple, she dumped all this here because she is afraid of you ever since that large sale of your carrots just last week." Indeed, Carrot Top for one reason or another had massive orders of carrots that she sold almost all of her stock and had gained quite a few bits, enough to last her for at least a couple of years.
"Trixie, as much as I would like to agree with you but I can't. First off Applejack doesn't have the connections to get these materials, secondly she doesn't have the strength to break steel girders or even concrete that thick, nopony does and lastly she has no way of transporting all of these here without leaving a trail."
Trixie frowned as her argument is now invalid. "Don't you have an evil bone in your body at all CT?" Trixie sighed as she continued to stare at the pile of junk further while ignoring the look Carrot Top was giving her. Suddenly, a small dot of yellow appeared at the top of the pile and grew outwards, growing quickly enough to fully form into a black wheel, rolling down the pile, subsequently hitting Trixie in the face and getting punctured buy her horn while knocking her down.
Carrot Top gasped as she helped Trixie up. "That... hurts..." Trixie moaned as she righted herself up and sat on her haunches. "Maybe I should stop asking Pokey to help maintain my horn." She rubbed her head gingerly as her headache is slowly settling down.
"Really? You ask Pokey of all ponies to help maintain your horn? He says the only reason he was glad to be born a unicorn was because he could stab things naturally, but back to this, what is that thing? A wheel?" Carrot Top asked as she looked over the object nearby Trixie and noticing the deep hole caused by Trixie's horn.
"I have no idea, never seen a wheel like that before being made of metal and something else." Trixie slowly got up as she carefully prodded the wheel fearing it would sock her in the face again, but it didn't. Upon finding that out, she kicked the wheel that is now promptly deflated with a hoof and found the black substance to be somewhat firm yet almost completely hollow. "This makes me think of something like a hot air balloon but thicker."
Carrot Top felt the material with a gentle hoof and was quite surprised at how it felt. "You're right, this does feel like something similar that that, but with this I could-" Carrot Top was promptly but off as suddenly, more items started appearing at the pile mostly being concrete mixed in with a few metal girders and pipes while some being glass and a few more wheels which promptly rolled at Trixie as she barrel rolled out the way narrowly avoiding becoming road kill.
"This has got to stop! I cannot be bested by mere wheels!" Trixie lit up her horn as she started throwing all the debris she could away from the pile, promptly scattering them all over Carrot Top's garden. Upon realising this, Trixie stopped and smiled sheepishly at the wanton destruction she could have cause to her house. "Uhh... oops?" Carrot Top was not amused.
"Trixie Lulamoon, you pick up this mess right now while I sort this out!" Trixie winced as Carrot Top started sputtering in a voice not of rage but of minor annoyance. Good thing she was about to plant her carrot seeds other wise Trixie would really be in trouble. Carrot Top stated hauling some the items away. "Help me put all of these outside the front of my house." At this point in time, Trixie was dumbfounded as to why she would want to haul all of this junk, from the back of her house to the front. Nevertheless, she did as she was told and after some time they managed to haul all of it there.
"Alright CT, I'm sorry for making small craters in your garden but why did you want to haul all of this junk here?"
"It's no problem Trixie, so long as you clean up your mess, it's fine." Carrot Top went back into her house but promptly came back out with a sign that said 'Junk Sale'.
Trixie was flabbergasted as Carrot Top put the sign out front by the small mountain of junk. "I... Huh?" was all Trixie could say. Even though she was her friend, she could never really understand her at times.
"Trixie, could you help me bring any more of the junk that appear in my back yard? Oh, except the wheels, I want those."
Trixie continued to be dumbfounded as she brought forward the junk but kept aside the wheels at a corner of her house.
Over the following days, more junk appeared and Carrot Top asked Trixie for more help hauling junk (because she needs to exercise more) but stopped appearing as the second week came around. In the end, Trixie got slightly more fit while Carrot Top got slightly richer. You know what they say, one ponies junk is another ponies treasure.
