Discord's New Life
Prologue: What to do...
Load Full StoryThe sun shined, the birds chirped, the grass growed and the ponies lived their happy lives. Everything was well in the royal gardens. Everything was-
"But Celestiaaaaaa!"
"Discord, no means no."
Okay, most was well, except for Discord. After he was "reformed", things became incredibly boring for him.
"Why not?!" he whined, his voice turning high pitched.
"Why not? Because I don't want you to upset the nobles! They're annoying enough as it is!" Celestia retorted, annoyance showing on her face.
"But what else am I supposed to do?" He took out a noteblock and took a feather from Celestia's wing, crossing out the things he wasn't allowed to do anymore. "I'm not allowed to make chocolate rain, turn gravity around, bring art to live, turn Blueblood into a mare, which was hilarious, change the colors of ponies or simply drive them mad."
"Are you done yet?" the Alicorn said, lifting an eyebrow in mild amusement.
"No, I'm not. But for the sake of not wanting to waste any more time I'll stop there." he says while throwing the noteblock over his shoulder, making it explode into a pile of confetti. "But seriously, what do you want me to do? If I'm supposed to use my powers for good things, at least give me something to do!" he says, striking a dramatic pose, making Celestia roll her eyes.
"I think I know something..." she says slowly, hoping to get Discord's attention.
"What is it?!" he says, grabbing her neck and shaking her. She pries him off of her and shows him a scroll.
"Reading a letter? How boring."
"Read it first, then you can complain."
"Fine." He pulls out a pair of oversized reading glasses and puts them on. "Hmmm... Yadayada elements of harmony yadayada we yadayada visit yadayada staying for two months. So what, the other elements of harmony are going to stay here for two months. I don't get what that has to do with me."
"Well, as your first good deed, I'm asining you..." she says it extra slowly, a smile growing on her face.
"I don't like where this is going." he says, his eyes widening.
"...to help and assist..."
"No." He starts to wave his hands in front of him, hoping she'll stop.
"...the elements of harmony..."
"Please! Anything but that!" He starts shaking his head.
"...during their entire stay in Canterlot."
"NOOOOOOOOOO!"
