Two weeks later

     Rainbow finally got out of the hospital two weeks after the events at Sugarcube corner. She got out in the afternoon, and as she was expecting, her four friends were waiting for her outside. She grinned and stretched out her wings- her brand new, high-tech steel wings that the doctors had made for her. Her Cutie Marks looked as awesome as ever- same Cutie Marks, but the doctors had stitched them back on with expert skills.

     "Cool wings, Rainbow!" Twilight said.

     "Thanks!" Rainbow said happily. "With this light-weight metal in the form of wings, with all the joints built perfectly, the doctors say I can be just as fast as I used to be!"

     "How the hay did ya survive, Rainbow?" Applejack asked. "Ah mean, ah'm glad ya did, but ya were expected to die!"

     "Yeah... I had severe internal damage and I was missing a lot of vital organs, but with a few body parts from ponies donated to science after death and the doctor's crazy technology, I survived! But I do have one question- what happened to Pinkie Pie?"

     "Well..." Twilight said, "she was arrested for murder and attempted murder, and she will be spending the rest of her life in the Canterlot Dungeons, the highest high security prison there is."

     "Can't say I exactly feel sorry," Rainbow muttered. "She's always been crazy."

     "Let the past go, Rainbow," Twilight said sadly. "I think all you'll find is pain."

     Rainbow walked over and stood next to her friends, metal wings shining in the afternoon sunlight. They all looked out toward Ponyville, all of them wondering what life would now be like without their former friend, Pinkie Pie.
