Twilight Sparkle, the new Princess of Equestria has been going on many important trip, one being the upcoming mission trip to the poor district of Equestria. While there, she meets somepony that changes her life forever, a little or filly named Skyla. Dirty, battered, and orphaned, the little filly just wants to be loved, and Twilight takes it on herself to make sure it happens.

Prologue: A filly named Skyla

Rain drizzles outside a cold November night, in the slums of Equestria. A place that used to be filled with laughter and smiles, is now filled with closed up shops, and boarded up windows. Signs up for sale on other shops, graffiti covers the walls and monuments of the town. Nopony walks the street this late at night, except one. Skyla.

Skyla's mother died when giving birth to her. After her mother's passing Skyla's father sold her to an elderly couple in Canterlot for sixty bits and a bale of hay, because Skyla reminded him to much of her mother. Skyla was to young to remember it though. Life with the elderly couple was great for Skyla, and she called them Ma and Pa. Ma and Pa could never have children of their own, so they spoiled her with toys and all the food she could eat. She lived with them for six years.

But then the day came, when the Elderly couple passed, Skyla was about seven at that time and was so scared. After their deaths, the Royal Canterlot in 2013,
