Concerning Hobbits Pt. 1
As Bilbo ran through the dark musty cave in which the pale creature Gollum inhabited, an odd light caught his eye, so he turned towards it and through what must have once been a camp site, but was caught by gollum, blood splatters everywhere and ripped up tents and bedrolls. Other then that, the room was empty except for a pink portal. It shined off his skin, and he realized that, despite him wearing his ring, the magic didn't seem to be working. Gollum began to run past, and as his leg started to shine into the room, Bilbo decided his escape plan would be to jump into the mysterious light. As he plunged in, he saw the glowing pink light seem to invade his eyes, giving them a slight stinging feel, and then darkness.
As he awoke, he saw himself in a bright, colorful world, unlike the world he used to inhabit, Middle-Earth. He was in a daze, and attempted to see if he had a concussion. "My name is Bilbo Baggins", he tested himself, "I live inn The Shire. I am fifty-five years old.", he finished, thinking that was enough. He then decided to test his sensory and reaction timing. He tried wiggling his fingers, when he felt an odd feeling. He looked down to what used to be his hands, to see what looked like the hooves of one of the ponies he was riding earlier. He had brown fur and no fingers to be found.
He began to freak out at this new discovery. "I am a pony", he silently whispered to himself, before realizing the situation completely. "I am in an unknown world and I am a pony!", he started bellowing, letting out his anger before realizing how big of a danger that could be: he hadn't known what a peaceful place Equestria was.
He went silent, and all you that could be heard was a silent murmuring of the townspeople of Ponyville. He tried to sneakily trot towards it, but because of how unfamiliar Bilbo was with his new body, it made a loud "clippity-coppity" sound, so he decided to just run towards the new village.
Just as he got to the town gates, he saw a pink blur come out of seemingly nowhere, and then a pink pony standing in front of him. She had a bouncy, curly mane that looked like pink cotton candy, and she smelt like it to: but he did not recognise the new smell. "Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie!", she said in a loud, enthusiastic voice, which seemed to suit her well. "I've never seen you around before! Where are you from? Canterlot? No, can't be, look at all the mud!", she said before letting out a great gasp. "Are you from Appleloosa? You're from Appleloosa, aren't you?", she said talking a mile a minute. "Hey, what are you so surprised about?", she asked, then started scanning the skies. "Is Rainbow doing one of her cool tricks again?"
She didn't realize that what he was surprised about wasn't just the cyan pegasus clearing the skies. It was everything around. The vibrantly-colored Earth Ponies, Unicorns, and Pegasi living in unison, the ponies being able to talk, them having friends and lovers: everything in Ponyville hit him all at once, and he was in a daze until he realized that the pink pony was talking to him."Sorry, what was that?", he said before being dragged all through out town to meet all the residents, including the Pink Pony's best friend, Twilight Sparkle.
