What is a story? A story is an account of something's past told to all those who would will listen. Some can be funny, others sad. All stories however have something to them though. This is the story of a scientist, a world of colorful ponies, and of a puppet master.

It was a middle of summer on the island, the kind of summer in which one could find all sorts of creatures active on these islands going about their business, what ever it may be.
There was almost no clouds in the sky around this time of year, plenty of time left in the days, and to top it all off it was mating season for the local fauna, meaning prey was in large numbers around this time of year.
With the large numbers of prey this time of year comes predators, so of course it would only be natural for the hunters to be out searching for a quick meal. And it just so happen to turn out that at the same time a pack of said hunters where out looking for unsuspecting prey that a certain gentlemen scientist was out looking for a bit fire wood for the coming nights.
Funny how these things turn out sometimes, huh?

Today was not a good day for Wilson. Frist off there was the whole thing with having to fight off those spiders last night and then those stupid turkey birds made off with his last round of barriers making him resort to eating monster meat of all things.
And now to top it all off...these had to go and happen. *sigh* Well at the very least he could still run, that must mean something good right?
"RAWWRR" *CHOMP!*
"I never should have left those stupid pigs!" he yelled as he looked back to steal a look at the hounds giving chase to him. Thinking about it he couldn't help but feel that leaving camp to go get wood was a bit of a bad idea in the long run.
Trust me at the time it seemed like a good idea, since the last time he went to get wood from the frost near his base, things didn't really turn out so well. Turns out some trees don't like the idea of being chop down and made into fire wood.
Those same trees also tended to have a nasty right hook too (one that he had the unfortunate experience of feeling first hand).
"BARK!" *SNAP*
As he continued to run from the hounds, he failed to notice that the sky had now turn a little bit darker. He only stop to notice this when a droplet of water hit the brim of his nose. He would have looked at the sky a bit looker if it hadn't been for the, oh you know, FACT THAT A GIANT ROW OF SHARP TEETH WHERE AN INCH FROM REMOVING HIS F***ING HEAD!
CHOP!!!!
Jumping back, he just barely missed the row of teeth tearing him a new Halloween costume of the horseless headless horseman (or HHH if you prefer).
However he was spared just enough time to check his head was still there since ,fun fact ,hounds need to stop running for a spilt second in order to bite something, giving him just enough time to put some space between the two of them.
This was nothing new to him seeing as he was used to this by now. Ever since he first arrived on the island everyday was a struggle to find food or run from something hoping to make you into food.
Before I move one did I say arrive? Let me rephrase that. "Ever since he was trapped on the island by a DEMON, everyday was a struggle to survive".
Yea I said trapped, as in forced to stay somewhere you don't want to. He however wasn't the only one trapped on the island if what those stupid pigmen, or the natives to the islands, said was true(which Wilson somewhat doubted since they couldn't even count to five).
They had often spoken of seeing other "Monkey people" , as they called him, on the islands before. They had stated that there were a good bit of them and that each was somewhat different then the last. For example there was one who could make fire out of thin air, one who could summon ghosts in the dead of night, and one that could even challenge one of them in strength (and probably in stupidity as well). But I'm getting a bit of topic, now aren't I?
Anyways back to the whole "trapped on an island by a demon" thing.
You see Wilson used to life far away from society in an old house out in the woods all by himself. What he did there? Well as the name "gentleman scientist" implies he spent much of his time doing experiments (most of which failed)out in the small house.
The experiments he did ranched from ones with living animals (some of which sadly died but as he put it was "it was all in the name of SCIENCE!") to trying to make the worlds best tacos. The fact that most of these failed was common true it did bum him out when it happened but never to the point in which he would quit his experiments since it was his life's dream after all.
However one day he did fail a experiment that made he quit...even if it wasn't of his own choose.

It was a normal day to Wilson, the casual routine for the day. Wake up, take a shower, eat breakfast , and plan out the course for the day. That was the normal routine that he started his days with but today there was something different about his morning routine.
You see today he was doing a special experiment that needed 100% control to work and a lot of time, and he was at the most critical part of it. The main ingredients, a highly explosive liquid could only have so much be put in or else there was trouble. To little and it would all go to waste, to much however and well...BOOM! A bit of a make or break moment one could say.
Tipping the test tube a little, a small drop no bigger then that of rain droplet, fell into the beaker.
*BOOM*
And with that a small mushroom cloud of smoke appeared and covered his face. Fanning away the smoke with his hands (and also the fact his hair magical turn back into that sexy trigon of his, also known as the Wilson Weave) a new wave of headaches hit.
It happened when most experiments failed, he would feel sadden and then later try again. However this time that wasn't going to happen thanks to a radio that he just so happen to keep around.
"Say pal, looks like your having some trouble" The radio stated. "I have secret knowledge I can share with you." With those simply words Wilson dashed to the radio and grabbed it with both hands. The radio then continued on to say "if you think your ready for it?"
The response was a quick 'yes' headshake from Wilson, who at the time was to blinded by the thought of "secret knowledge" to care about the long term affects or just about anything else for that matter.
"Ok then!" The radio stated before pouring large amounts of information into Wilson's brain. Taking a moment to let all the information set in, a small smile crept across his face. With these new found knowledge in hand (or rather in mind), Wilson set out to build a glorious machine that had promises of changing his life forever (which trust me, it did).
With a goal set in mind he set out to build the machine and soon it was finished. At first hesitant to throw the switch but when the voice from the radio shouted out to do so he did . With throwing the switch the machine turned on showing the face of his soon to be captor and large black shadowy hands appeared from the ground grab him.
With one last moment to think he made a quick jump to avoid them but to ill affect as the hands grabbed him and pulled him into the shadows. And with that he was teleported to the inland, concluding the story of just how he got there.

Returning back to where the story stopped last,still running for his life, Wilson had failed to notice that the little rain drops from earlier had now turned into full bolted rain. Along with said rain, he also failed to notice the sharp light being emitted from the clouds, singling the approach of lighting.
Now lighting was a thing Wilson had come to avoid and in some cases just straight up hate it. All though true it could be harnessed for a good and cheap light source, the bad parts about it far out weighed the good ones. For one, although rare there is a chance that lighting can hit and possible kill you , which is kind of a bad thing, however there is one far worse thing about lighting. It starts fires, BIG forest fires.
Most of the time these really didn't effect him however since, innless it landed in his base, fires where normally take out by the rain making them mostly harmless. However when a whole forest is on fire it tends to move much quicker and burn just about anything in its path.
Although this can be helpful for getting rid of a wondering Tree guard or some of million spider dens lying around, it also meant that things like berry bushes and grass turfs also burned well. And eventually if your base is nearby it will reach it.
Under normally circumstance he would of been getting prepared for the on coming fires when lighting started up however since be chased by giant angry dogs isn't really in his everyday plans, that was kind of the last thing he was thinking of at the moment.
As lighting continued to gather up above, a certain human was still busy running for his life. Wilson was now in the forest biome, a place (since the name says it) filled with forest, spider dens, and the occasional berry bush or rock. With the change in terrine came avoiding things like trees and roots as he made his way away from his pursuers. All the while one thought stuck out in his mind.
How long are these dogs going to chase me for? Don't they have some different and easier pray to kill besides me?!
*Crackle* *Insert thunder noise here*
Turning his head slightly, Wilson spouted a very large tree cluster and what looked to be the edge of some sort of building. "That may just be the perfect place to lose these pups." He thought to himself making a b-line straight for the group of trees.
However he never made it to that tree line because halfway there, a loud roar emitted from the sky as if the gods themselves where angry. Birds flew in fear, bunnies ran into there holes, beefalo ran for cover, and even the "brave" pigmen fled to there homes. Both Wilson and the hunting party of hounds stop to look for the source of sound.
Up high in the sky a large collection of electricity could seen grouping together in a collection of pure, raw energy hanging right over head both him and the group of hounds.
Thinking as to why they would be doing that in the first place, it hit him. The metal building by the trees must be attracting the electrons to it. If that's the case then all the protons are getting more charged making it so any strikes will be more powerful. Wait but if it where right by us that doesn't that mean... "Oh no" he muttered under his breath realizing the fact that he (and all wildlife within a five mile radius) were about to be made into a pile of ash.
Looking over he saw that the hounds too could sense their impending doom from the heavens, as they looked over at him with a look as if to say "Sorry bout' chasing like that pal". They could try to run but they wouldn't make it far enough in time and both of them knew that. Looking back up to the sky they only had a second to react before a giant blot of electricity fired out right at the metal object.
Ambon impact a large way of energy was sent out pushing Wilson back into a tree knocking him out. The last thing he saw through his bluer vision was the hounds (and forest), that so desperately had given him chase less then five minutes ago, being set ablaze. This was the power of the heavens.

~Some time later~
Darkness, that's all there was to see from Wilson point of view currently. Why was it just darkness? Was he dead?
"Say pal, you don't look so good." A voice echoed out from the darkness to his ears, rather loudly I might add.Oww, my heads killing me...and that voice really isn't doing me any favors.
"Keep that up and you likely to die, you know." The voice continued on "And lookey there, you found my portal too, pal."That voice...why does it sound so familiar? It's almost like we've met before.
"Well pal, I just have one thing to say." The voice said with a slightly darker tone growing in it "If you take my portal now...I can promise you that there will be pain without end! But ...I'm sure you already learned you lesson from last time..."

As the feeling started coming back to his body, Wilson's eyes slowly opened as he sat up, trying to get back to the land of the living. " Ughh...What happened?' he thought to himself as he tried to slowly stand up, using the brunt tree as a sort of makeshift support. It took a little effort but now fully up and for the most part, awake; he opened his eyes and stared at the scene that lay in front of him. Needless to say, he was in awe.
The frost he was in a few mere minutes ago now looked like a scene you would see Smokey the bear walking out off. Brunt trees as far as the eye could see, lined the forest. There where sounds of animals running in fear and even some shrieks of spiders lighting on fire. Taking in all the damage that had been done by the storm he couldn't help but mutter under his breath "I feel like I could have prevented that."
Looking around at all the destruction, he stopped halfway as his eyes fell upon the building in which he had seen from earlier ( and had started the mess he was in now).
Looking at it he could make out some details about it. It was a mostly metal structure with several pieces of moving metal and some various electronic parts sticking out of it in some odd places. Just by looking at it, anyone could tell that these...thing was not meant to be here at all. However, that was the last thing on his mind at the moment.
Staring at it, Wilson couldn't help but feel that he had seen it from somewhere, but where? Taking a few seconds to think of just where he could of seen it, it hit him like...well, sort of like the lighting did to him not to long ago.
He knew this machine and in fact he built it himself ( or at least a copy of it). It was the machine Maxwell had him build, when he first contacted him over the radio that day in his lab. Simply put, it was the reason he was here. But why was it here and for what purpose did it serve?
Looking at it a bit more however, he noticed a few things different about it from the one he had made.
It was slightly blue in color and there where some electronic curtains flowing from the metal pieces. Besides that though, it was mostly the same thing.
"Wait a second," he thought to himself "The same thing..."
As he looked at it more, a small thought entered his mind. "When I built that thing it sent me here in the first place so...," he said taking a few steps towards it "what if it could send me back home as well?"
He stopped mid step.
Home, that was something he stopped thinking about soon after arriving here. Could it really send him back home, and if so how? Was such a thing even possible at all? Taking some time to think about it, he came to a single conclusion.
Hmm, well I guess its worth a shot. I mean what's the worst that could happen?
Walking up to it, a small hum could be heard in the air. Upon reaching it, just like it had done the first time, the machine moved its various parts around in till a small door had appeared leading into what looked like a never-ending tunnel of darkness. The top of the machine now appeared to be a silhouette of Maxwell's face with various parts forming a makeshift set of eyes and a rather sinister grin.. A small tune could also be heard playing in the background.
Looking at it, Wilson couldn't help but feel a bit of bittersweet pride about the thing. He had built this machine, this piece of metal that held so much power. The same thing that would be his undoing in the end of it all.
However something was off about all of this. The machine was on and working but there was one little problem. There where no hands coming to grab him. The last time he turned it on (and his first time), two shadowy hands rose from the ground, grabbed him, and brought him here to the islands. They where sup post to be here yet they weren't. Where were they now?
It was then that he noticed a small lever on the side of the machine that was not there the first time. Reaching out to touch it he stopped for a second in thought.
Remembering back to the dream he had before waking up sent a chill down his spin. " 'If you take my portal now...I can promise you that there will be pain without end!' Is this what it meant?" he asked himself unsure of just what to do. Thinking about going home though put those thoughts far behind him.
Shaking off those feelings, he grabbed the lever and pulled down. The machine let off a loud sound and then stopped for a little while. Soon the sound died out as the door slowly closed itself and the music died out as well. He stood there for a few seconds waiting for anything to really happen. A small whine was that could be heard as the machine powered down. Needless to say, he as a bit disappointed with the results.
"Well that was a bit anticlimactic," He said out loud to none in particular. As he looked back at the brunt down forest, he slowly said to himself "might as well go get some charcoal." not wanting to put all the lost wood to waste.
As he went to go walk away, a small sound stop him. Turning back around towards the machine, he stopped dead in his tracks when he noticed the door was now open and instead of a dark tunnel, there was now a rainbow-colored one in its place. Before he could even react, the tunnel started spinning and the wind around it ( and him) started picking up. It was trying to suck him in.
As the air picked up he tried running away but the wind was simply to strong for him. As a last-ditch effort, Wilson took out his trusty pickaxe from his backpack and dug it into the ground. Using all his strength to hold on, he could see all sorts of things fly into the portal ranching from seeds that birds had dropped, to even a few unlucky spiders (which he found a small bit of pleasure from watching). Soon however his strength ran out and he let go, getting sucked in as well in the process.
The machine quickly closed its door once again and this time let out a loud screaming sound before falling apart into ashes and disappearing in the wind.
All that remained was a small pickaxe stuck in the ground and a pile of bones where the machine once stood.

~Meanwhile In an Unknown Land Faraway~
*Tick Tock* *Tick Tock* *Tick Tock* *Tick Tock*12 strikes on the clock...midnight
.....
Silence... Pure silence. That's all there was in the small town of Ponyville at this time of night. Well not quite just silence but also the sounds of slumber as well.
Every Pony, small to tall, young to old, were sleeping soundly in their beds with dreams going on in there little heads. But not just the ponies but every single last creature was asleep, not even a mouse or the owl in which hunts them were awake now. Not a single sound could be heard except for the snores emitted from each old-timey house. So besides the snores, there was only silence.
Well I guess you could say there was one other sound coming from of in the distance...
For you see, there was one thing that was not sleeping at this time of night. Nature and a whole lot of it for that matter was still wide awake at this hour.
Nature is like a young energetic child in the fact it almost never sleeps and tonight that much was apparent from the sole fact that a rather large amount of dark clouds that could be seen loaming over the small woods by the village called, The Whitetail Woods.
A large storm was slowly moving its way over the large lands of Equestria and towards the small woods. With it, it carried the power of the gods as well, Lighting.
*crackle* *thunder**crackle*
All around the forest was a sheet off black clouds as far as the eye could see. In the center of all the clouds was a small clearing (also called a meadow sometimes) in which the local wildlife tended to crease at commonly and a large verity of flowers bloomed several times of the year, at as well.
Or at least that would be the normal scene you would see stepping into the small clearing, however with the rather loud thunder and the bad weather in general, all the poor defenseless animals where in hiding and most of flowers ripped out of the ground by the powerful winds. At the moment one could say the clearing was well...umm...pretty clear I guess?
In fact the only real thing that stood out at the moment was the large amount of electricity hanging in the air and the rather foreboding lighting going off some ways in the distance.
Also there was the giant storm cloud directly over head the small area too.
In the middle of all the clouds was a lone spot which seemed to be giving off a faint light from some time of energy inside it.
As time passed, small sparks of electrons could be seen gliding over the surface of the cloud from one part of the cloud to another. In fact, this kept going for quite some time in till finally just about no more energy could be held.
A large lighting bolt suddenly shot out hitting the ground directly below, turning pieces of the ground to dust and leaving the area in a rather singed state as well.
Rather oddly just as quick as the lighting came the storm mysteriously left. Within minutes the large amount of clouds where gone and all that would be left as a sing of what happened that night would be a rather mysteriously placed hole in the ground and a few brunt trees.
Well maybe that's not all there would be left over from that night....

The Whitetail Woods
~The next day at a small clearing in Whitetail woods~

Location: Unknown
Brian.exe statues: Damaged
*Attempting to reboot brain.exe*
*ERROR 404: brain.exe has stopped responding*
"ugghhh....uhhh..." Came the soft moan of a rather odd-looking figure laying face down in the middle of the clearing.
*Brain.exe has fixed the problem and is now working properly*
...
" Great, Where in the world am I now?" Thought Wilson as he lied face first in the dirt "I mean the last thing I remember was going through that teleporter so that means it had to have sent me somewhere right? Well I guess the more important question to start with is if I'm dead or not."
"Lets see, Darkness: check. Large amounts of pain: check. Ever lasting love for science?: Check-o-rama"
He paused for a second in thought to see if there was anything else he needed to check for.
"Well if what my analyze says is true (which they normally are) then I'm not dead...at the moment." Wilson thought to himself, while at the same time finishing his mental checklist
"...or at the very least I'm not dead yet."
Now for the second question, where was he now? His view was filled with darkness and couldn't really feel anything at the moment. So if he wasn't dead then where was he? That was the really question he needed answered.
"So I guess if I'm not dead, that means the portal took me somewhere...but where, and why?"
He paused in deep thought, while at the same time trying to bring his hand up to scratch his head.
He stopped however as he realized something was just a bit off. Trying again to move, it became quite clear to him that he couldn't move his arm. In fact he couldn't move not just his arm but his body as well.
In fact only one real thing stood out to him.
It was soft, a bit damp, and there was a bit of an odd smell to it. It seemed familiar, yet he couldn't make out what it was.
He could feel...grass? Yes although he couldn't move, he could still feel the soft green plant life under him it seemed.
"Well if I can feel things that means all possibility of me being dead is out of the picture entirely."
"Still that doesn't explain the 'not being able to move' thing...though I would be willing to guess that the giant amount of pain I'm in and fact I can't open my eyes at all has something to do with it."
"Now back to the real question, where am I?"
He stopped for a few seconds to try and listen for any sounds that could give him even the slightest clue as to his current whereabouts. At first there was silence but then...
"...And I would also be willing to bet those voices have something to do with it too...wait, voices?"
Doing a retake and focusing on the sounds around him, a small noise could be picked up a little bit in the distance. Sure enough it was a group of several voices.
All though he could make out any words or really hear their conversation in great detail, he could get at least two facts from this.
One, there where voices which meant someone was around (and maybe even looking for him, if he was lucky) and two, those very same voices where moving closer to him with every passing minute, meaning his chances of survival might have just doubled.
"Girls, I understand your worried but please slow down or else-" A voice suddenly stopped upon reaching an area that was just about right in front of him.
The voice in question belonged to a female and was a bit meek, or low in tone, but had a strange sense of a warm and motherly tone to it as well.
More importantly then that was he could make out a small gasp being made by the owner of the voice ,which made him somewhat worried.
Why had she gasped like that? Was he horribly mutilated...or was it something worse!? Was there even anything worse than that, I mean being mutilated is pretty bad, so what could be worse than that!?
He stopped his thoughts halfway as a new voice rang out in the air saying "See we told you Fluttershy!" rather boastfully, as if the owner was happy to find a mutilated body in the middle of nowhere. Not that he could really judge seeing as dead corpses on the island meant loot (and loot made him VERY happy).
Anyways back to the voice.This voice was high-pitched, tomboyish , and energetic . It also sounded like a child's voice and a boastfully one at that.
"Please Fluttershy you have to help it..." A new third voice suddenly spoke out "or I don't think it may make it". This voice also belonged to a child and he could hear the owner was trying to hold back tears (he couldn't even being to guess about why she was holding back tears).
"Maybe she's just not good with seeing hurt people" He thought to himself "Also the 'not making it' thing sounds kind of bad too."
Anyways, besides trying to hold back tears, the voice was much more calm than the other one and had a more "down to earth" tone about it in general.
Heck if he didn't know better he might have said that there was a bit of a British accent to it, however at the moment the sadness of the voice drowned it out, so he couldn't really tell if there was any or not.
"Please Fluttershy you've gotta help em!" Yet another new voice rose out, this one caked to the brim with a southern accent. It was an accent that he could see belonging to a hardworking farm person, if it weren't for the voice belonging to that of one so young.
Besides the accent, the voice belonged to yet another girl and sounded like it generally belonged to an all around nice person.
With these new people entering the scene a certain question came to Wilson's mind.
Who were these people and why where they looking for him? From all the evidence given it didn't seem like they where here to hunt him down or anything like that, which meant they probably have had little to no contact with Maxwell or the island. If that where the case then the chances of them trying to kill him where probably low (and given the voices these 4 probably couldn't harm a fly, let alone kill a human for that matter)
Speaking of the island, it was about time to return to that first question of his, where was he?
That was the biggest question on Wilson's mind at the moment and besides being face first in some dirt, he really didn't have any clues about where the heck he was at the moment.
Thinking about it, there really only seemed to be one option at the moment.
"Well just sitting here isn't going to help me."
With all these talking about him the next step seemed quite simply, do something to get their attention.
However just as he was about to say something, everything around him started to turn hazy. Things where zoning in and out and the voices from before seemed to be far away now and mumbled. He was slowly starting to lose all feeling in his body.
"Someone..help...me....please......."
"Is...this...the..end..."
"............"
"Well what did I tell you, pla? You broke my rules and now its time to pay. I have no idea what little 'adventures' await you but I'm sure you'll have oh so much fun. When a king loses the need of a pawn, they get rid of them. Simply put your need as my pawn is at an end so now its time to get rid of you, pal."
"However, just because I have no use for your 'skills' doesn't someone else won't. Its been fun, but I think it's about time we parted ways, pal. Oh and before I forget, a bit of advice...Don't Starve...HaHa..ha.ha..."

* A few hours ago*
It was a sunny day in the magical land of Equestria, in fact some could say it was a near perfect day in almost ever aspect.
No clouds in the sky, a light breeze to keep one cool, and a relaxing temperature to boot. Yep, today was a great day, one that made even the sun goddess herself proud.
It was such a great day in fact that just about everypony was out enjoying the day to its full potential and bliss.
Ponies, Unicorns, and Pegasus where all out doing things ranging from chopping down some wood for coming winters to just catching some sun and the great breeze. Yep, just about everyone in Equestria was out was out and enjoying the beautiful day, but no town was enjoying the day more than the small town of Ponyville.
Why where they enjoying it the most out of all the towns, you ask?
Well as stated before Ponyville is a small village town in which almost everyone knows everyone (or I guess in this case everypony knows everypony) meaning that on days like today one could see just about everyone outside doing something or other.
So with everyone out and about and the great weather, could there be a better day than to try to earn one's very own cutie mark? Even more so what could be a better day than to have the single most important thing in your life happen?
A cutie mark, the symbol that everpony gets at one point in their life, depicting just what their special talent is in this big world. Getting one is a big accession, some even going to lengths of throwing large parties to celebrate getting one, and marks a child becoming an adult. An unforgettable memory to say the least. And who better to tell you all of these then the town's very own infamous cutie mark seekers, The Cutie Mark Crusaders.
I say "infamous" because literal everyone in the small town knew about them, and the trouble that tended to show up when they where around.
Destruction just so happens to go hand in hand with kids who are filled with pride and ambition it seems, thus making them a bit of a well-known group (and most of the times not in a good way).
That's not to say at all that ponies didn't like them.
And boy did these kids make trouble. All though true most of the time it was not on purpose, that doesn't stop the fact that they where pretty much walking death traps for not only themselves but also others.
One pony even went so fay to say that if some weird was going on it there where only two things that could cause it. "If something funny is going on in town it's either that librarian,Twilight Sparkle fault or those darn Crusaders!"
So that's exactly the reason that on this great day the group decided that instead of doing something extremely dangerous and/or extremely bothersome to someone that they would just pay a visit to one of the local forest around the area, White Tail Woods, to try to think of something they could do to find their special talents.
That way there's no way they could cause trouble...right?

"So what are we going to do today, huh?" asked the young energetic bright orange Pegasus known solely as Scootaloo, to her to friends and fellow crusaders as she jumped around them.
On their way around the forest the other two of the trio had gotten tired of walking and aimed to stop at a set of logs for a rest, however since Scootaloo wasn't really tired she decided now was the best time to ask about their plans for the day.
"Maybe we could rock climbing or skydiving or even-" she was however cutoff and silenced midsentence by a bright yellow hoof being placed over her mouth.
"For the last time Scootaloo, I told ya we came out here so we wouldn't cause any trouble these time." responded the southern voice of her friend Apple Bloom. "Or did ya'll forget last time..." she said lowering her hoof.
"Well no..." responded Scootaloo quickly in hopes to change the subject "but that was a one time thing that total happened by mistake."
"That wasn't any mistake Scootaloo, you caused it!"
"Well how was I supposed to know that you weren't suppose to mix baking soda and vinegar when the recipe said 'a bit of salt with some baking soda'!"
"It din't say vinegar and baking soda!"
While the two friends continued to argue over which one of them was right, the third in their group sat idle by listening to the sounds of the wood's wildlife that lay all around her.
The third in the trio of Crusaders was a young white unicorn named Sweetie Bell. She was normally the most calm out of the group and so when it came to things like this she tended to just stay out of it and let the two friends cool down. She also tended to be the easiest to scare and softest out of the group too.
As she listened to the sounds of the wild she felt strangely calm. The sound of the wind through the trees, the bids chirping, it was great...however something was a little off.
There was a soft sound coming from the distance that sounded almost like moaning, yet she couldn't figure out where it was coming from.
Walking away from the area where the group was resting in and after the noise, she soon found herself at a small clearing in the middle of the woods, with a rather odd area in the middle of it.
In the middle of the clearing was a hole in the ground which the grass around it appeared to be brunt for some odd reason. Not only was that weird but the sound from before was coming from the same hole.
As she slowly (and cautiously) came to the spot where the noise was coming from, she froze at the sight before her with a look of horror on her face.
"Gggiiiirrrrllllsss!" she screamed at the top of her lungs as she ran back to her friends with vigor.
At the shout of their friend, both Apple Bloom and Scootaloo stopped arguing and quickly ran to her. The could both tell something was wrong due to the tears in her eyes and quickly followed her back to the clearing.
Upon arriving at the spot in the middle of the clearing they all stopped at the sight before them.
After a few minutes of silence Apple Bloom was the first to speak.
"I think were gonna need some help." Said Apple Bloom as she turned to Scootaloo.

"So that why we need your help" Stated Apple Bloom as she retold the story to the newest addition of the small rag-tag group, a butter-ish yellow pegasus known as Fluttershy, as they started making their way back to the clearing.
Why go all the way to get help from her?
Well, Fluttershy was the perfect pony for this problem since, not only did she take care of animals for a living, but she was the kindest person around so if anyone could help them out she was the best bet...Plus she was kind of the closets pony for help as well.
"If what you're saying is true girls, then I will try to help the best I can." She said, while putting on a brave face for the three fillies. All though normally meek and quiet, when it came to animals in need she was anything but. And if what the girls said was true, then this was a time where she needed to be brave.
Speaking of which she really didn't know all that much about what was going on at the moment, seeing as she was just drinking tea in her kitchen not less than 10 minutes ago.
In fact, she had been waiting for a close friend of hers to arrive so they could get together for a "pet play date" as they called it. She thought to pass the time that she would make some tea and not even a few sips in and BAME! the Crusaders suddenly show up at her front door going on about how they needed her help right away and such.
So she stopped what she was doing and followed them...
"Good" stated Scootaloo while pulling out ahead of the group to take the lead "just follow us and well be there in a split"
And so they did just that, and soon the group reached the woods where their goal lay. As they approached the spot the spot however the Crusaders all pulled out ahead leaving poor Fluttershy having a hard time catching up to them.
"Girls, I understand your worried..." She said through panted breaths "but please slow down or else-". She stopped mid sentence however and let out a gasp at the sight in front of her.
On the ground was a creature of sorts in which she had never seen the likes of before.
It was bipedal in nature much like a bear or ape (if the set of arms and legs where any clue to go by) but not as tall as one since it was just a little over the size of a pony (without the hair being counted, then it came to be about the size of Princess Luna) and it appeared to be wearing some type of cloth all around its body as well.
From what little skin could be seen it was clear that the skin tone of this thing was a very light color near tan but more of a white, and that besides the large amount of hair on the head (which came together to semi-nettle from what looked like a trigon) there was very little hair on the body in general.
Looking over the creature it was quite clear why the girls needed her help so badly. The creature was hurt...badly.
By just a quick look over the body she could make out all kinds of cuts and areas where bones appeared to be either broken or damaged. Plus if she had to guess there was internal bleeding as well.
Needless to say it wasn't the prettiest sight. It seemed that whatever happened to these poor thing was surely meant to either kill it or keep it from moving for a very long time.
"See we told you Fluttershy!" Said Scootaloo while looking over the creature's battered body.
"Please Fluttershy you have to help it..." Sweetie Bell said through tears "...or I don't think it will make it". "Well at least Sweetie is sad enough for the both of them" Fluttershy thought to herself "I'll have to try to clam her down when this whole ordeal is over."
"Please Fluttershy you've gotta help em!" Stated Apple Bloom while trying to calm down Sweetie Bell at the same time.
Looking at the body a bit more she couldn't help but let out a small sigh.
She knew almost nothing about this creature, in fact she had never seen anything like it, yet it was hurt and she couldn't just leave it like this to die! But who's to say she do more harm than good by trying to help it (like that time with the princess's pet phoenix). Oh, What to do?
As she closed her eyes to think about it, it hit her.
No. She couldn't just leave this poor animal like this, she wouldn't be able to life with herself if she did. She represented the element of kindness, to leave an animal in need like this it would be...she just couldn't do!
"Alright Girls" She said as she slowly lifted the creature on to her back, which needless to say was a bit of a struggle "Help me get...it back to my house and well see what we can do from there, ok?"
And with that the small group made their way back out of the woods with a new friend in tow.
Well pal, I like to say its been fun and that I'll miss you...but I would be lying if I said that. Au revoir my friend, or at least in till we meet again.

Almost perfect silence... such a peacefully setting. The only noises there where, where that of the fireplace crackling, the tick-tock of a clock, and the sipping noise of a cup meeting a pair lips, to only loss its sweet contents in the end.
These where the noises that had normally filled the cabin in which Wilson P. Higgsbury called his home.
Silence, but not perfect silence. Enough to keep one calm but not drive them mad at the same time. Then again he was insane on some level, so who's to say he could really judge what would make someone go mad.
This was the symphony that played to many of his days and nights, and he had come to grow to it a little, although not by his choice for say.
Why not by choice you ask? Well you see, Wilson didn't always dream of living alone in the woods much to many people's disbelief.
He had hopes and dreams at one time in his life, but like many of his talents and arts, fortune is but a heartless and cruel mistress (In more ways then one for him). He however did not let this stop him and simply choose to out beat life at its own game by taking pride in his new home and way of live (before losing them in end of it all).
Needless to say it started out as an act but over time it did start to stick to him.
So as hard as it may seem to be true, these noises; this chorus, as one could say, stopped at one point in time not to long ago.
Though truth be told, he would much rather just forget about the past and move on with his life, and for his sake he really needed to do just that.

"Aha.." Came a soft content sigh that slightly echoed in the old home.
"Nothing quite like the feeling of being back home with a fresh cup of tea at my side." Wilson stated to himself as he sat next to the fireplace watching the flames dance up and down as if to some form of invisible dance, while taking a sip or two of his tea every few seconds.
After being away for so long just sitting by the fire made him feel, rather happy...as if he almost never left home in the first place.
And truth be told, is there really any better place to be in this world?
True he couldn't really remember how exactly he got back home in the first place, but that didn't really matter to him right now. I mean after being trapped on that hellhole of an island for so long, he really didn't care as to just how he got back. The only real thing he cared about was that he was back now.

"Whelp, Its about time to feed the mice again." Wilson thought as he slowly got up out of his stylish and rather comfortable leather chair. You know looking back at it he was rather pleased at the fact he brought the chair in the first place, it had served his buttocks very well.
Anyways, as he slowly made his way up the stairs to the attic, he started to get a really good look around the old place for once.
It was kind of funny in an odd way, but until now he never really appreciated the simple fact of just how nice his home was before.
In a way it gave him a sort of pride to look at the old place again after being away for such a long time.
Though he was so busy being caught up in admiring the old place that he almost ran head first into the attic's door at the top of the stairs.
Speaking of which...
The attic is what many would call the "best part" of the house for Wilson personally. I mean it was home to a great deal of memories for him (both good and bad).
So many experiments (most of which failed) had been born in the small room beyond this door. It gave him a bit of a nostalgic trip thinking back on it.
He would of loved to think of all the great times (and the bad) but at the moment there was something of greater interest behind the door.
...Not like an onlooker could really tell since the room was about as light as a cave...if that cave was in the middle of space.
"I always did my best work in the dark... " Wilson let out a small chuckle as he opened the door.
"Who knew the mice also liked it being dark too." He thought as he went to turn on the light switch.
As the lights turned on, it was as if a completely new atmosphere took over the room.
If that where the truth then his attic probably looked like something out of a mad scientist's lab.
Simply put, it looked like a lab of sorts with all the test tubes, electronics, and various other things lying around the room that you would find in one.
In fact, if you where to guess from the clues and say it was a lab you be right since it was indeed Wilson's personal lab!
In fact, it was Wilson's only lab and the pride of his house to him.
All the things he had done here for the name of science, all the grand experiments it just...just...
To tell the truth when ever he stepped into the old place he felt a bit pride at what he had done to it.
Just looking around the room was like taking a walk down memory lane.
Everything looked just like how he left it. Test tubes and beakers in there places, the mice still in there cages, heck, even his old chair and radio where in the same spots as when he left.
However as he continued looking around the room, something caught his attention...or rather a lack of something caught his attention.
Everything was just as he left, except one thing...that dame machine .
Maxwell's machine , the thing that put him on the island in the first place, the thing that had put him in hell , he had left it right here in his attic...but now it was somehow gone!
Maxwell had no use for it (seeing as it was only a prototype and he had severally finished version of it) and he was 100% sure that no one had entered his house, since every door, window, and possible entrance was still locked tight, so how was it gone!?
"W-Where is it!? Wilson shouted, running around searching, starting to grow frantic at the thought of someone getting their hands on it.
If someone ended up getting their hands on that thing...God I don't even what to think about what could happen.
Turning around, Wilson grabbed the doorknob and pulled hoping to search the house for the machine, but something was off. No matter how hard he tried to pull the door, it wouldn't move an inch.
"What the hell..."
He could feel a small chill rising in the air.
Something was very wrong...and he had a feeling as to just what was behind it. Even if he didn't want to believe it...
"Oh what's the matter, pal?" A voice suddenly spoke up from behind him.
There was a pause for a few seconds before...
Looking for something? The voice asked coldly, now directly behind him.
Jumping back and turning around, Wilson frantically searched for the source of the voice but he couldn't see anyone else in the room.
"Did you see something?"
Jumping back and turning around (for a second time) he came face to face with...nothing...again.
"Where are you? Just stop playing around and show yourself." Wilson thought to himself backing towards the door in hopes of a possible escape route.
"Hasn't anyone told you that its 'third times the charm' and not the second, pal?"
Ha, got you this...time...
Turning around once again towards the one large window in the attic, being lit by the moonlight and over looking the woods outside, Wilson saw it. Upon just glancing at it his blood froze faster then a river during the winter. He knew this was likely the cause of it but he didn't want to be right...
"Look time no see eh, Wilson?"
In front of window was a silhouette of a rather tall figure. However the silhouette alone is not what made him so scared, for you see this figure, he knew it...and he feared it.
Standing around less then 10 steps in front of was the silhouette of the man, no wait, the DEMON who put him in that hellhole of a place.
Seeing him made Wilson's leg feel like jelly and his breath uneven, but he was trying his best not to show it.
"Wh-Why are you here?" Wilson asked through panted breathes. By the way, he wasn't doing a good job at hiding it.
"I fell for your trap once already, Maxwell, so if you think I'm going to fall for another one, you can forget it and drop dead right here and right now." He stated while easing up his stance a little bit.
"Hahaha, Oh Silly boy you already have feel for my trap, and you don't even know it."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Wilson asked with disapproving look.
"That really doesn't matter right now, now does it? But I tell you what does matter." He said while taking a step towards Wilson.
You see the reason I'm here pal is because you having something of mine and lets just say, I want it back.
The figure slowly started to move forward again.
"And I want it back now, so if you don't mind, where is it pal?"
In the blink of an eye the silhouette was gone only to reappear a second later right in front of Wilson looking at him with a set of piercing red eyes and that same grin from before.
"Wh-What do you mean? If you couldn't tell, I can't really read minds since its not scientifically possi-"
"MY MACHINE!" He yelled with rage, while cutting off Wilson at the same time.
"I don't have your machine." Wilson responded with a bit of a sour tone.
Why Maxwell wanted a prototype for a machine he had was beyond him but he didn't really care at the moment.
"I see" Maxwell said, taking a step back from Wilson before disappearing into thin air, only leaving behind a small mist in his place.
"Shame, I was hoping I wouldn't have to do this but..."
All of a sudden the ground around Wilson's feet began to turn black as if the area lead into a void of sorts. Screams and low moans could be heard from the pit.
In that case I'll just have to get the information I seek by force!
Before Wilson could react, two dark shadowy hands shot up out of the void and grab him by the waist and began pulling him down into the void.
Wilson struggled against the grip the best he could but for every bit he moved, he fell that much faster, like the stuff was made of quicksand or something.
Each little bit he fell into it, he could feel more hands grabbing him and dragging him down, down to his death.
This was wrong, it wasn't like the first time when he was taken to the island at all.
The hands just simply grabbed him then and took him into the void but this time they where hurting him, as if they where trying to kill him. But why, Maxwell liked his play things he didn't like to break them, so there was no reason for him to kill Wilson.
At this point he was now fully in the void. He couldn't see a thing but now the hands where at his throat slowly chocking him to death.
Screams all around him, pain...at this rate he was going to die.
Wake up Wilson! Wake up or you'll die! HAHAHAHA
The laughter, the screams, the pain.
Just make it all stop...please...make..it...stop..

Author's Note
...Well this chapter took a bit longer then what I hoped it would but its finally done.
All I have to say is while this chapter really doesn't have any story advancement for say but more back storyish in it the next chapter is going to have some plot advancement to it...so that's a thing (it may even have some ponies in it to).
So that's really about it.
My Little Wilson Friendship is Starving
Nightmares. Things made of the darkness and fear in our hearts.
Nobody likes them, some fear them, but everyone's gotta deal with them at sometime.
Some say its just a part of life, liking dyin' or needing to eat, others say its more.
Why? They say nightmares are to test ourselves, to see what we do in a certain situation. Why does our mind want to test us then? It knows us on a great level, yet it wishes to test us, to see what we can do if the time called for it or ever needed it. Because our own minds do not trust us.
Is that really what nightmares are for...or, is it simply just a side effect due to the sins in our hearts and souls?
Who's to say that they aren't just the fears and regrets of our soul, brought back into this world to torture us for what we've done in the past, for our mistakes. That maybe there's a way to show us our errors as living beings so we can better our self's in the end, or burn ourselves out. Sometimes a nightmare can ruin a man.
But there is no true nightmare, once you wake up its done, a simple memory to help line the halls....but is it really that simply in the end?
Are nightmares really just something that lives in our dreams, or is it something more?
Something to be feared?
...Or something to be fought.

No matter how much he looked around, only one thing came to his mind at the moment.
*sigh*"How did I get into this mess... again"?
A soft, pink, and overall girly bed; a set of comfy pillows (also pink), and some fully blankets (most of which where, you guessed it, pink).
It sounded like something out of a book, but no matter how many times he replayed it in his head, Wilson couldn't explain the reason as to why he was here at the moment.
Simply put, everything was sort of a "blur" for him. He remembered being chased by the hounds back at the islands, going through the portal, and somehow ending up back at his home in the woods.
So how did he, in the end of it all, somehow end up here?
His eyes where a bit moist and he could feel the remains of two small lines of tears that must of been running down his cheeks at some point.
He must of been crying in his sleep, but why? He had almost never cried while on the island (since any sign of emotion was a sign of weakness, and meant you would just die that much faster to something) so what had made him so unnerved that he would end up crying like a child (even if it wasn't full out blown crying like one)?
Whatever the answer was he didn't know at the moment, nor did he have time to really think about it either. At the moment there was a much bigger issue that needed his concern more.
"So where the hell am I?" He wondered while looking around the room"And for that matter, how the hell did I get here in the first place?...And why is it so pink!?"
The room itself was rather plain, as the most notably thing where the blank wooden walls,a very nice wooden dresser, and rather large window; but what really stood out to him was that he had no room in his own home like this at all. Then it hit him.
He had no room like this in his home...so where was he then?
Several ideas soon shot into his head at the speed of bullets.
It could be a trap set up by Maxwell, but that seemed somewhat unlikely given all the facts.
"No," he thought "this place doesn't feel like it could belong to him, it's to...peaceful for that.
He couldn't say why, but the room just gave off a vibe of good feelings and happiness, almost as if nature itself was at peace here (in a way it sort of reminded him of home), and he could easily say Maxwell had no influence here.
"In fact I would be willing to go so far as to say-
He didn't get to finish that sentence sadly, as his thoughts were cut off by a rather loud hooting sound coming from the window.
Now, most people would probably jump at this sound, but Wilson decide to try a less mainstream approach...for science.
That approach involved hiding under the covers like a little scared 7 year old boy.
Hey when every little "cute" creature has a death wish on you, hiding under the covers can end up saving your life. It's a fact, look it up.
...
Anyways,
Giving himself a few seconds to calm down and gather his thoughts, he slowly moved the covers out of the way and looked to the large window. What he saw was no monster looking to rip him to pieces, but instead a rather small owl sitting on the branch to a tree that was near the window.
The owl itself was (for lack of better words) a bit more "cartoony" then what he remembered owls being like, but besides that it was the same as any other owl. He could of been wrong but barn owl was what he believed the type of owl was called, well that or just owl...not that it really mattered either way.
His mind was further put at easy when he noticed the owl wasn't even looking inside, let alone at him for that matter.
He was going to simply go and strung off what had happened, but something caught his attention out the corner of his eye.
However as he tried to move out of bed and towards the window, a small pain suddenly entered his side.
Looking down, and lifting up his shirt, he noticed a large bandage rapped around his stomach and the area above his waist. Looking around he also saw (for the first time since waking up) that his hands, and part of his arms, were bandaged as well.
Moving his left leg, he could feel several areas where medicine had been put over cuts to prevent infections. In fact, on the right one he could feel an area in which some type of cloth had been rapped around an area with a rather deep cut.
To top it all off, moving his hand to his head he could feel a double rapped set of bandages, that for some reason ended like a ninja's head band would.
"The person who did this must not have been to good at tying things, and had to end it with a headband knot." He thought to himself, feeling the make shift headwear a bit. The knot was a bit lose for his likings, but over all it was pretty good.
No matter how it was done, he couldn't really complain about it in the long run.
He was alive, some-what ok, off the island (as far as he could tell), and most of all, he was siting in a pretty nice bed (all though he still couldn't see the logic as to why it was pink).
All in all, he was kind of happy to just sit there for a little bit and just...relax.
However, he soon remembered just what had caught his attention less then a few minutes ago and soon turned to look at it.
Looking back to the window and slowly getting up (much more carefully this time), he soon made his way over to the window that overlooked the world outside.
And then he saw it.
Now truth be told, Wilson tended to dislike nature, and most things to do with it in general; so when people always went on about "the true beauty of nature" or "nature is the greatest gift of all", he would usually just shrug it off and forget about it, but now... well lets just say he could see how much of a fool he was at times.
He couldn't see to much of the area around the house in which he was currently in, however behind a small bit of the tree in front of him and a fence, but he could see the land beyond.
And what a land it was.
To put it into words was a bit hard for him, but one might call it "beautiful" in a sort of way.
It was night, not a deep night that made things hard to see, just a plain old night, and the only source of outside light was that of the moon. The full moon that is, the brightest moon of them all.
The land was lit up in such a way that it was seeable but not light enough to be called day.
That however was not what made the sight truly pretty.
Before him he could see the land far and wide, with all it details in full glory and valor.
There where forests filled with tress, wide fields, and even some mountains off in the distant, that where all lit up by the night time sky overhead.
Truly poetic.
To many it would be seen as beauty but to him it was something much more important.
It was, in a way, freedom.
Freedom from the island, freedom from his own personal hell.
More importantly however, it was a freedom from his old live. His old self.
He didn't need to know all the details of the land he was in, all he needed to do was to see this night. Maxwell, the island, neither could ever do something like this, in less they put all their focus and effort into it.
Wilson knew they wouldn't do all this for him. To play mind games with him. No, they had to many other "toys" for that. He was just an old beat down toy so why would they waste their time on him anymore?
There was one big fact that made this stand out as clear as day to him.
You see, night was an evil time in which that...monster came out.
The "Hand Of Maxwell", the "Grue", or "Charlie" (as Maxwell calls him, no that Wilson would know that) would come out to hunt any "good" creature that wasn't safely within the range of a fire or other light source. The fact he could see a few animals running around, and it was so light out, meant that there was no way "Grue" was here. That made the idea of Maxwell being here very unlikely.
That fact in itself was a small victory for him, and the sign from it was clear as day. Right smack dap in the middle of Wilson's face was a small smile, the smile of a warrior who had seen a personal war of his end. Not a happy smile, not a sad smile, but a victorious and tried smile.
He had done it, he had escaped. Freedom was his, and his alone.
...Yet he was not at all "truly" happy with the outcome.
True he was away from the island, but that only left a bigger question behind.
Where was he now?
It was a new land...one he knew nothing of.
It was the unknown.
He had heard once that the lack of knowledge lead to the greatest of human fears and defeats. If that were truth then he should be hiding under the pink blankets on the bed behind him like a scarred little school girl...not to mention he had just done that a little bit before.
Yet, for some odd reason he didn't feel fear, just uneasiness.
It was new place, true, but he would just have to take it a little slowly at the start. Heck for all he knew he could of been right back near home and just not know it. Thinking about it in that light managed to give him a bit more hope at the very least.
And with that hope came a new thought, a thought that made him smile a little with glee.
What was there to this new place that he could explore and study!?
That was the thought that came to him, and it was true to his form. No matter where he was or what Wilson was doing, science was always ready to be done. Yes, science was always at the ready no matter what or when.
What kind of animals lived around here? What kind of plants where there? What where the locals like?
There where so many scientific questions in his mind that he wanted answers to, yet he couldn't find any.
He thoughts however stopped dead when he heard a noise not to far away. It was a sound he knew all to well.
It was the sound of weight being put on the stairs outside the door near the far end of the room. He could also hear a voice coming from around the same area (what he guessed was a stairwell leading into house) meaning someone was coming up, and most likely, into the room.
At first he paused, not really sure of what to do. Should he hide or be caught by who ever was coming up? He was out in the open so spotting him wouldn't be that hard. He didn't know these people or what there intentions were, but at the same time he couldn't just hide from them if they had saved his life.
As the sounds grew closer and closer to the door, he started to search for some place that was out of plain sight. Any hiding spot would do.
Looking around he couldn't spot any real good hiding spots, due to the lack of things in the room, but there was one spot...one very bright pink spot.
It was a long shot, but with the only other option being the roof, it was his best bet at the moment.
With a quick pace, he found a spot under the bed in which he could just get his body to fit under with just enough room to spare so he quickly dove into it.
It was bit of a tight fit but in the end he managed to finally fit himself in between the soft bed and the hard wooden floor. He's body was facing down and he had to kind of hug the floor, but in the end he was managing to stick with it and sat out of sight.
And not a moment to soon as he heard the door slowly start to open up and a set of voices could be heard coming up as well.
"We should be careful," stated a soft female voice, one that he could of swore he heard not to long ago "for all we know it could still be asleep."
"It" , Oh yea the whole calling him an 'it' thing was back in play now. Great...
You know, besides the whole "it" thing, he thought about it and was pretty sure that he had heard that voice before. In fact, thinking about it, he was almost 100 percent sure that it was the one who saved him not to long ago.
So she must be one of the ones who found me. Wilson thought to himself, making a mental check note of it for later. I'll have to thank her for that at some point later.
With that the door slowly opened up to allow the group of people inside the room. He still couldn't see them, as he had to solely look down, but he could hear them. For what he could make out it sounded to be around a group of around no more then two or three, a relatively small group, and judging by the voices earlier, they where females, but something else stuck out to him.
Normally when people walk on wooden floors there was a rather unique noise as footsteps tended to leave a rather loud and distinct noise, however he wasn't hearing that now.
He couldn't hear footsteps but rather...hoof beats?
"Well I hope it is asleep so that way we don't end up startling it." said a rather smooth, yet smart sounding voice. If he had to guess, he would say that the owner was more than likely the "leader" out of the two, seeing as she had the voice of a calm and collective leader.
As Wilson thought about the comment she made, he didn't notice that the pair was now moving directly towards the bed. It wasn't it ill they where right around the front of it that he took any notice in them.
"Oh no they can't know I'm here can they? He thought trying to push himself further back towards the wall to stay out of sight.
All in all it made staying hidden a bit difficult as his stomach was slowly being dragged backwards on the rough floor.
He was so busy trying to stay hidden that he almost failed to notice the pair had moved right in front of the bed now, and that one of them had left out a loud gasp.
Opening his eyes to see what the gasp was about, he almost let out on of his own at the sight before him.
Why would he let out a gasp?
Oh, where to start first?
Frist off where there should of been a group of people standing was instead filled with...some type of horses? The body's and build of muscle seem to point to that fact, but the sizes where off as they where more like a donkey in size, rather then horses. Wait, not donkeys, ponies.
Yes the size, the shape, it all made them out to be ponies (that or some really small horses).
That however wasn't the biggest thing that stuck out to him.
Now if you asked most people what the color of a horse (or pony in this case) was, you would get some answer like white, black, brown, and etc. Now how many people would answer yellow, pink, purple, or even light blue? Anyone?

In front of him stood not only a pair of ponies, but a pair of trippy colored ponies. You heard that right, trippy .
The first had a simple butter yellow for the coat and a rather soft pink for the hair, or I guess mane in this case. The second however could only be described as one thing, purple, lots and lots of purples.
Yet out of all that there was still one more thing that stuck out to him even more then the first two combined.
Wilson had seen some strange things in his live before, Tallbirds, Ghosts, and even pigs that acted and walked like men,
Right in front of him stood not only one but two real life legends. Before him stood both a one horned horse, a magical unicorn, and a winged one, a pegasus. That's right two mythical and/or magical creatures that are heard of in fairytales where now standing right in front of him.
Oh what the druggies would think of this.
Now many would freak out at this or try to understand it through common terms, but Wilson thought of if it through a different light.
Although it was unsettling to see such creatures, it was enough to make him break down from the mere sight of them. He had seen weird things before this, so it really wasn't anything new to him.
Ok...so I'm seeing ponies with abnormal coloring, that are also two creatures from fiction, and they appear to be intelligent as well. Right...who the hell had been spiking my drinks?
Wilson didn't really know how to feel about all this. One part of him was trying to not break down from the lack of logic and possible reason this could be happening, while the other part didn't really even give a dame anymore.
He was so busy trying to think about how he felt about the whole situation, that he almost forgot about the group of trippy, multi-colored, magical equines moving towards him.
"I-Its gone!" Gasped the yellow Pegasus, the one who had saved him from before.
And now they can talk... why does that surprise me at this point?
That's what Wilson should of thought at this point, but instead he was to brain shocked to think anything at that point.
He had seen weird animal-ish creatures talk before (like pigmen...god those things are weird), but this was so much more...weirder then the rest.
Not only did these animals defy science itself, but they were intelligent enough to hold speech. It almost sounded like a bad joke of nature, yet here they stood in front of him... as if they where just another part of the world like himself.
It blew his mind in a way. Never before had he really thought of it like that, and he could sort of see why now.
Because these creatures fought the very fabric of reality, and in a way that scarred him a little bit.
"Well it couldn't have gotten far, lets spilt up and find it"
This time the voice was energetic and had come from the purple unicorn. By just looking at her (if the voice was any indication of the genders) for a few brief moments, he could tell she was a slightly nerdy type and was somewhat happy at the idea of finding him. Not that he could really blame her seeing as he be acting the same way...
He couldn't really afford to think about that however, seeing as he was still busy holding on to his breath for dear life...and he was losing. Slowly but surly he was losing his cool and was starting to panic. Soon they would find him and soon they would...God only knows what they would do.
...Well he would most likely get a face full of nice wooden floor first before being at the mercy of the multicolored equines.
All in all, it looked bad. Really bad.
And even worse now that the two ponies where openly searching for him.
For a brief instant he had a flashback to the hounds, but then quickly shook it off as nothing.
However just because he shook off the thought didn't mean they weren't acting a little like them. Looking it ever possible place he could be hiding (which where few to almost none in number) they where soon to find him, and when they did...
The same could also be said though. It was a bit of two sided coin situation. On one side they could run out of places and simply look under the bed and spot him, while on the other side they could run out of hiding spots and leave to check the rest of the house, which he could then sneak away from in hopes of finding, well anything really.
All he had to do was wait...not that hard.
However it turns out luck was, like most of the time, against him.
While the purple one was off in a corner looking for something (more or less likely it was him), the yellow one seemed to have noticed something under the bed (presumably him) and was now moving closer to further investigate.
Oh no...
It was game over, in a few seconds he would be found...
There's still hope. If they can speak, then they can understand things so I'm not at a totally lose. All I need to do is make a good first impress-
He didn't get to finish that thought as a rather equine head stuck itself under the bed and was now looking at him with ,what looked like, a mixture of fear and confusion.
......
"Say something you idiot before she starts to freak out"
"Uhh," he said trying to clear his throat "Hi..."
...And now her face was one of full blown fear and he knew what was coming next.
Oh God, please don't scream!"
...And then there was screaming. Lots and lots of screaming.
