Discord asked as we landed. "And why do I have sensory vision?" "Why do we all have to see with perfect sensory vision on a 2D plane?" The Doctor asked. "I am not sure, I put it on random. Are we all ready to walk correctly or do we need some time to get used to the walking?" I asked. "I have it down pat, mostly because I always have had sensory vision." Everyone fumbled around the 2D TARDIS trying to get there bearings on how to walk. Discord was the first to be able to perfect it. Probably because he did it once before in the window panes of Canterlot castle. Following him was The Doctor, probably because of his extremely high intellect. After 10 more minutes, Princess Luna and Twilight finished perfecting it. "So, are we ready, Travelers?" They all nodded their heads. "Let me just tell you first and foremost that the way our TARDIS went 2D and the sensory vision is probably because of how this world works. It should wear off when we leave." "Phew, now I don't have to worry." Said Twilight. The others nodded in agreement. "Then follow me outside!" We all walked outside of the TARDIS right before we noticed something. There was this big empty storage space in our minds. "Does anyone else notice the big space in our heads?" I asked. "I think it's called an inventory." The Doctor said "My sonic screwdriver automatically went into it and I've been able to open it and use it." "I think we all have been able to do that." Chimed in Discord. "Whatever it is, it also probably goes with this universe. I'm going to have us all keep it due to the fact that it is very useful. If it is a bother thought, I'll get rid of it. Everyone agree?" They nodded their heads. We walked out onto a cliff, a large black tower behind us and a large white tower on another cliff at the same height far away from us. We could barely tell that behind each tower was a different type a grass. Behind the black tower, was a purple grass, infested with dark energy. Behind the white tower, light blue grass infested with light energy. "I don't think I want to cross over any of those towers..." Said Luna. "You do realize we will most likely have to now, right?" Said Discord, The Doctor and I at the same time. "Great. It doesn't matter, there are more important matters at hoof." Twilight said with her eyes closed. She then ran strait into a huge sign. "Watch where you're going, Twi." I said, then looked at the sign. "'Welcome to the neutral land of Terraria. Population: 10.' Well then, I guess we know where we are, let's go down to meet the locals." "Yes, let's go!" Said Discord, and he headed off. "Well come on, follow him!" I said, and ran off behind Discord. I said, just getting to the town. "Or somepony..." said Twilight. "You get the point, we just got here, it's a 2D plane, we should have been noticed by now. Especially with the towers, they must not get many visitors." I said. We had just gotten down to the valley in between the cliffs/plateaus and to the town below. It was a small town, all completely made of wood. Each house was almost exactly the same, only difference was a banner on the outside of each house with a face on it, corresponding to the person in the house. Each resident keeps there names a secret to new people, as I have deducted by the fact that they have their titles instead of names on the house as well. They only call each other by their titles around other people, so that just proves that theory. "Boring town." Discord said, not very pleased with the creativity. "I honestly have to agree, this is one boring town, and it doesn't help that it's 2D. Actually, I think I have a way to fix that. Just figured it out, anyone want to try?" Every other Traveler nodded their head vigorously. "Well, then, let's see." I snapped my fingers on both hands, and the noise reverberated through the town. White magic came streaming from my hands and into the eyes of each of the Travelers, including myself. Through the streams came black sparks, stopping at the eyes. Once they got to the eyes, them covered them. Then a giant flash happened, and it was over. "Is everyone alright?" I asked, then just got my bearings. "Well, it worked, but it doesn't make the town less boring." Discord said, "and if I am considered a judge, that was one amazing spell, breaking the laws of a universe. Making everything 3D to us. Impressive. Almost beyond my reach of power." "Yes I have to say, that was an amazing performance. I can see so well!" Twilight said, happy to not be in 2D. "You are one powerful spirit." Luna said. "Ahem," The Doctor said, getting everyone's attention. "We have a visitor. Well, we are the visitors, but that attracted the attention of this guy here." He motioned his hands toward a human looking creature. These have been identified as terrarians, if the name Terraria identifies the planet and universe. The white-skinned terrarian had shaggy light brown hair and a beige T-shirt. He was wearing jeans that didn't seem to have pockets, and light black gym shoes. "Hello there, you can call me Guide, I can tell you many things about this world. Come with me." He said, and walked off. "Well then. Nice visitor..." Discord said, sarcastically, and fake pouted. "Well, instead of standing here and complaining about him, why not do what he asked and go with him, we need to get as much information about this world as we can. I have a feeling something bad is happening here." Said the Doctor, and rushed off. "I would trust the Doctor, he is the one person that you can trust the most. Plus," I started, "Ahem," Then me and Discord said at the same time, "I told you so!" And we ran off, being followed by two laughing ponies. We soon caught up to The Doctor, who was as silent as a dropping leaf around Guide. They were walking towards the village when we got to them, and they were half way there. Discord spoke up to the Doctor. "Do you think we can trust him, he wasn't the nicest earlier." "Look at the facts, Discord. This is a 10 person population town. They are surrounded by rivaling kingdoms and are trying to stay a neutral land. They probably don't get that many visitors, so the're not used to it." "Well, okay Doctor, just because David here told me to trust you, I'll give you a chance. I hope they aren't going to do anything like try to kill us or anything." I was watching the conversation going on, and I could tell Guide heard but didn't mind. Like he knew he was being rude, and wanted to apologize, but didn't want to interrupt their argument. Wow, cool guy. We finally reached the house, and the guide led us in, him going first. There was a table with 6 chairs by it, and we all took a sit down. I was in the middle, back facing the door, facing the guide. On my right was Discord, and on my left was The Doctor, both wanting to get some answers about this place. next to Discord was Twilight, she seemed like she felt safer near Discord than The Doctor, and I can understand that, The Doctor is a new person to Twilight. Luna was obviously next to The Doctor himself, wanting to be able to get in on all the information. We started our session with Guide speaking first. "So, as my title suggests, I am any peaceful creatures Guide, you may ask as many questions as you can and I will answer them all to my fullest ability." "Okay, I'll start asking the questions, where are we, exactly. Like, universe, planet, what is it called?" The Doctor asked. "You are in the world of Terraria." "Who are you guys?" Discord asked. "We are the settlers in the neutral land, this is where all Travelers or settlers come, so we help them. I was the first, and quickly got my bearings. Merchant was the second, who collected rare objects, then came the nurse, who helped us when we were hurt, after her came the demolitionist, who mined with his explosives when he got here. After him came the arms dealer, he sold us weapons to protect ourselves from the terrors of the night." "What terrors of the night?" Luna asked. "I will get to that when I finish this. Ahem, as I was saying, after he arms dealer came the clothier, who gave us many different types of clothing. With him came the dryad, who claims to be a spirit of nature. She can be at one with this planet, and sense everything that goes on through the trees. With the clothier came another one called the mechanic. She wired up all of our houses to give us light that isn't the torches. After the goblin invasion, a peaceful goblin tinkerer. He helped make our weapons and armor strong, with little effort. After a long while of fighting off the goblins, a powerful wizard came to aid us, and he has been with us every since, teaching us the powers of mana." "Well, that just makes more questions. I hope you can answer them all." Discord said. "I will try. Now, about the terrors of the night, there are horrible things that appear all over the place. Zombies, floating eyes, haunted suits of armor, and wraiths. There is even an oddity of a blood moon, turning the sky red and the moon a blood red, causing more enemies like clowns that throw bombs everywhere, and during a full moon, werewolves appear. We don't have to much trouble, but you need to learn to kill around here to survive. It is quite sad." "On to my question, what is mana?" Twilight asked. "It is a physical form a magic, you all have magic, I can sense it, and it would be to powerful to be transformed into mana. It is weaker than magic, and comes in one form. It allows us to cast a small amount of powerful spells, but it isn't very easy to wield." "Can we see some of these spells?" Twilight asked. "Yes, I will show you to the Wizards house when we are finished with this session, unless we are done?" "No, I would like to ask a bit more questions." The Doctor said. "I would like to know about the two rivaling kingdoms on each side of you. It seems they represent the light and dark, that is for sure, but I would still like to know more." "Well, you have a good eye. To the left of us, where the sun rises, is the kingdom of the hallow, it is led by the spirit of light, Sol. It resides in a biome of pure light know as the Hallow. It is filled with mythical creatures known as pixies, gastropods, and even unicorns. Not the kind like you, miss Twilight. He is keeping the hallow in one place, staying peaceful around everything if he can help it. In his castle lives a lone knight known as Drake, he is a master with melee weapons and has the strongest armor known to terrarians. They both have angelic wings that let them fly. The creatures follow them as an army, but will only act on command. "His counterpart, Mon, has his castle in the biome of darkness, known as the Corruption. He is a pure shadow, bright yellow glowing eyes that they say can pierce into your very soul. In this biome creatures known as Corruptors fly effortlessly and aimlessly around, wanting to kill everything on sight, but they don't unless ordered to. Worms known as seekers or world feeders burrow through the terrain, leaving no mark, but having eyes on every section, to see everything. The third creature would be a slimer, a purple slime with bat wings that flies around aimlessly as well. All these creatures follow Mon and his assistant Ethereal Mist, who is a ghost like terrarian that can fly aimlessly and has the most mana in the land. Mon himself has bat wings that also let him fly. They are the two kingdoms of balance, letting us live out our lives down here in the neutral land undisturbed by the biomes that would hurt us. "Mon though is getting more evil by the minute, and to keep the balance, Sol must become more good, instead of neutral. Mon finally sent his Corruptors to try and turn this terrain into corruption, and eventually corrupt the entire planet. Sol noticed this, and sent his pixies and himself with purification powder to get rid of it and kill the corruptors. This ignited a war between them and the only way to stop it is to simultaneously throw vile powder on Sol and purification powder on Mon. They have been combined, but they need help. We need to help them. And we will die trying to maintain balance in this world." "I think we have heard all we need. I don't think we need to see the Wizard after all. Instead, we need to go find Sol. Is he in his castle now?" Discord asked. "Yes, he is in his throne room with Drake, discussing a plan on how to purify Mon." "Thank you Guide, we will be off now." I said, and teleported us to the white tower. "Why were you so silent during his explanations?" "Because I bumped into him on the way there. I figured out everything, but I guess you would have wanted to hear it from him, so the trip wouldn't have been pointless. Now, we need a plan. We should just walk through the hallow, the castle is across a field of this stuff, and everything should be peaceful." "I agree with David here, we shouldn't teleport into the palace, it would cause to much commotion and fear. He doesn't know what side we are on, and could try to kill us, and might succeed with two of us." Discord said. "But he is the good side of the two. He might try to listen to us, and it would be faster." Twilight said. Luna spoke on her side. "Yeah, we don't want to waste time." "Look, we are here to travel, why not see the sights? It could be fun!" The Doctor said. "Three to two, I think we win, now let's go everyone!" I said, and led everyone outside. There was a strait line to the castle, and it looked more glorious than Canterlot castle. Purely a work of art. The bright blue fields of grass with the occasional flower was more than welcoming, and the roaming unicorns and pixies made it even more enchanting of an experience. Some of the unicorns even offered to give us a lift to the castle, but we refused. The pixies were very playful, along with the gastropods. Playing chase and trying to race us, which we obliged to doing. "Isn't this just wonderful?" I said, chasing a pixie to the castle. "It is, I am glad we came here first, it just goes to show how different other worlds can be!" Said Discord, actually giggling with joy at how good the pixies were at playing pranks of Twilight and Luna. "We're getting pranked and we are enjoying it!" Said Luna, and Twilight agreed by giggling. The Doctor was speechless on how brightening this place was, even the trees looked happy with their rainbow leaves. Eventually we got to the castle, waving goodbye to the pixies and unicorns that helped us get there, and we walked in. It was wonderful, made of a brick that looked like pearls, and other brick that looked like gold. There was a red carpet out for any visitor, leading right to the throne, where two people with angel like wings. One had a crown while the other had a white and yellow trimmed mask on, accompanied by white and yellow trimmed armor that both of them had on. They noticed us walking into the castle, admiring it, and greeted us. The one with the full armor came up to us first. "My name is Drake, welcome to the castle of the hallow. This here," He pointed towards the one with the crown that landed next to him gracefully, "Is Sol, the kind of the light." "Hello, Travelers, I see you are not of this world, are you not?" Sol asked us. "Good eye, Sol. We are not." The Doctor said. "But I bet you can guess where we are from," Discord said, motioning to me, himself, and Luna, "Fellow spirit." "Discord, Spirit of disharmony! Good to finally meet you, i guess you got out of Equestria for once, huh?" "Well, being stone kinda stops that possibility." Discord said, getting sad. A pixie broke into the doors and quickly cheered him up. Sol smiled. "Those pixies are awesome, nothing else will do them justice." "Haha, I love them to. And Luna! Spirit of darkness of Equestria! It is definitely good to meet you to, I have heard so much!" "Well, I was corrupted and sent to the moon... that stops meeting up as well..." The same pixie went over to Luna and cheered her up the same as Discord. "I agree with Discord here, these pixies are so nice." "And finally, David Thunderhead, the brand new spirit of chaos! Taking the title away, are we?" "Yes, I have to say, it was quite the adventure to renew that title, and I didn't even know I was taking it! But, we are not here alone. As you can see, we bring with us the final Timelord and one of the spirits of harmony. The Doctor, and Twilight sparkle." I said. "Ah yes, The Doctor, you I have heard of the most, and I think you being here makes my suspicions true! You have come to help maintain the balance of Terraria! And you even have one of the Equestrian spirits of harmony with you! Terrific! Or, as you say, fantastic!" We all shared a laugh at this. We eventually made our way over to the table where they were discussing their plans on how to purify Mon. "It isn't a good plan, but it's the only one we can do anymore. We need to charge into the corruption, even though we will be attacked, and try to force our way into his castle. We need to go down the chasms and file in through his dungeons, or Ethereal mist will catch us. Do any of you need a repeat of that?" We all nodded. "Okay then, are we all ready?" We all nodded again. "Good! Let's go, and David, would you mind teleporting to the black tower?" I nodded, and teleported us all to our destination. "Alright, for the balance!" Sol and Celldric ran out. We stayed. "We need to do this, so, on the count of three, one.... two... three!" "Alons-y!" We all said in unison, and charged out behind Sol and Celldric. We were met outside with twenty corruptors, which Sol and Drake were taking care of business with two bright white swords with a golden trim. The swords both known as Excalibur. The corruptors were going down fast, and me and Luna started shooting beams at them, charging inch by inch further into the corruption. It was flat, and all the trees looked evil themselves, drooping out slimers to attack us. Many seekers came up through the ground to try and eat us, but were teleported into the air in the same place as the slimers and corruptors by Discord, and shot at by me, Twi, and Luna. I quickly surveyed the terrain, and noticed something. The ground itself was being trampled of the thorny bushes that were trying to kill us as well. Everything here literally wanted to destroy us, no matter what. I noticed a few chasms, and small things called clingers were noticed at the bottom, trying to breath a green fire on us. The Doctor was trying to get information on each of the creatures and surveying their weak spots to us, also trying to distract them with his sonic screwdriver. We were able to defeat so many, but they were just absorbed into the earth and re-spawned from the trees, earth, and sky. After a while of this fighting, we eventually got to a certain chasm. It was near the castle, and I got a good look on it. The bricks it was made out of was a light glowing purple, releasing pure evil particles that just fueled the biome. The chasm led down into a cave that looked like it was almost empty, with a few clingers down their trying to fire more flames at us. "Is this the chasm?" Yellow the Doctor, over his own screwdriver. "It is! Everyone down! Now!" He and Drake jumped down, thrusting their swords below them. We teleported down after them, and were met with three clingers. The Doctor was set on fire immediately, and we tried putting him out to no avail. Me and Discord rounded up the clingers, ripping them off of their walls and blowing them to pieces, and the two ponies were doing the same. Sol eventually came down, crushing five more clingers and corruptors, and Drake soon followed with five seeker heads on his sword, and some slime on the edges. More seekers came out, but were stopped for a second by the Doctor. "Why isn't this getting put out!?!" "it's cursed flame, Doctor, it won't go out until ten seconds of being ignited!" Sol said. The seekers all went for The Doctor then, and me and Luna quickly set up a barrier for him, and Discord added some electricity to it, and killed the seekers. The Doctor soon was put out by nothing, and Sol handed us all potions. "Quickly, drink and heal yourselves! We are not done yet!" He waiting for a few seconds, then drank one of his own, and ran down to the nearest light source in the direction of Mon's castle. We drank our potions and followed him, killing many seekers and clingers on our way. Drake followed behind us, dealing with the corruptors and slimes. We caught up to Sol, who stopped in front of a metal door surrounded by less evil looking light blue brick. We destroyed the door, and ran inside, soon having Sol follow. One we reached the middle, I stopped us all, noticing Mon's presence up their. "He most likely doesn't know we are down here, and so Ethereal mist shouldn't either. Now is the time to plan our next move." they all nodded, and I continued. "Twi, you, Luna and Drake need to protect us from Ethereal mist while the rest of us go up and try to purify Mon and Sol, maintaining the balance. Alright?" They all nodded. "Then let's go." We sneakily went up the stairs to the main level. We noticed all the evil energy coming off of Mon the closer we got up. It looked like it was having a silent war with the good in Sol, and none of us but me noticed. We could just barely notice the ghost right behind us until we got all the way up. "So, are you here to purify Sol and Mon?" He asked as we got to the floor. Twilight and Luna quickly guarded us and sent for us to go to Mon. We quickly follow suite while Twi, Luna, and Drake went to fight Ethereal. We quickly made it up to Mon, and I could see the mental fight him and Sol were having. We had to act quickly or else he would make the first move. The battle started. Discord quickly teleported him into air and into a bubble that amplified sound, and The Doctor used his screwdriver on him to determine his weakness. The shadow used pure dark magic to try and break the bubble, being infuriated by the screwdriver made his magic more powerful. He easily broke through the shield, and The Doctor's screwdriver was sent away and broken into millions of pieces by the force of the knock back. So much for weakness. Sol and I went into action. Me sending out beams of pure chaos magic, and healing Discord and The Doctor while Sol sent out light magic against Mon's dark magic. It was a beam fight for them, creating forces to battle each other. The Doctor went over behind him and called us over. We took the hint and I tried to start my Kamehameha beam. It was silent, but more powerful than it ever was before. Discord poured his magic into the ball, and Mon eventually noticed it, and moved out of the way. It hit Sol, knocking him to the floor, but it didn't damage him to much, since I used some of his light magic. "First words, and it is laughing at your patheticness, how amusing." Mon said. He sounded like a talking level loud version of a whisper. Me and Discord just glared at him, while The Doctor went to try to heal Sol. I followed soon after. "Did you think these other spirits would help you? The spirit of nature certainly couldn't, what makes you think these can?" None of us said anything, and he continued. "I guess this is the end for you, time to meet your maker!" He said, and rose his hands up into the air, causing shadow magic to come out of them. "Stop Mon!!!!" Said a new voice from behind him. I barely noticed it, and looked in it's direction. It was Ethereal and the others, "You can't do this!" He said, obviously trying to distract Mon. It worked. I noticed Drake walking around to us, and Twilight sneaking around with the powder. "Ethereal! What is the meaning of this! You are on my side!" "I never actually was, I was on the side of neutrality, like Drake. We both were plotting to go against our leaders if the balance were to be severed by one of them, joining the other until balance was restored. But I join you now." Ethereal said, and walked towards Mon. It took a while before Mon realized what was happening, and he realized it to late, and was covered in powder, just like Sol. It was over. The balance was restored. "What.. what happened?" Mon asked. "It doesn't matter, brother. It is all complete now, thanks to these five Travelers." Sol said, motioning towards us. "We must celebrate the matter! We must celebrate for them!" Mon said. We all nodded, because, why not. And celebrate we did. We didn't party for long, though. "Why must you go? Couldn't you stay here in Terraria?" Sol asked us. "We could, but we won't. We set off to travel, and that is exactly what we will do." I said. "Then we hope you could return some day. We both owe you major for this." Sol said. "Yes, I hope we could fight on the same side in the future, some day." Mon said. They waved us off as we walked into the TARDIS. The familiar parking break sound reverberated through the air as Sol and Mon watched us disappear, moving to the next universe.
