Load Full StoryNext ChapterDeath. That is all Amaranth could think of as the pain flowed through her veins. It wasn't the kind of pain you get when you break a leg, not much worse, but not the same. Amaranth ...... Wait, wait, wait, you can call me Ama..... Ama wondered what she did wrong, why she felt like this.
To give you a visual of Ama, she had pale skin, although darker now and a little bit freckled in the summer, which it was, her eyes a wonder to everyone she knew. They are pink, like a in a sunset. Her hair brunette with thin platinum blonde highlights in her bangs and on the sides ( imagine Twilight but with these colors).
It's strange indeed to find yourself in unexplainable pain, to close your eyes ready for death, and then hear wind whistling in your ears. Ama opened her eyes to find herself falling from who knows how high. Her ponytail flapping in the wind against her neck, her bangs splitting down the middle to make way for the wind. She felt very cold in her soft navy blue pajama shorts and her light pink heart shirt.
She had just gotten into her bed, still sitting up after taking out the trash when the pain had come. She was still wearing her sneakers even. Her hot pink ankle socks did warm her toes a little more than her navy blue and magenta sneakers ( the sports kind, not converse). Ama felt a pressing on her wrist when she remembered she still had the extra hair tie from the pigtails she had worn earlier that day. She wore a breast cancer bracelet around her ankle, even though she was much more worried about childhood cancer. Her ears pierced with white crystally earrings ( nickel free if you want more details :) and around her neck she wore an expensive pink-tinted diamond heart. She remembered the day her mother and father had given it to her.
Her birthday in April. She had woken up to her mothers loving eyes at 7:00 A.M. Her father walked in with a small cream box in his hand and thrust it towards her mom, who took the diamond necklace out and placed it around her neck while saying " Amaranth, If you are ever lost or in need of help, wish on this necklace and it will aid you". As Ama remembered this she held the heart in her hands and meaningfully said "If this is possible, please save me from falling to my death, and have my parents watch over me as I try to find my way back home" She let go and closed her eyes, hoping it would not hurt as much as she knew it would.
Ama hit the dirt with a large thump, followed by a moan. She regretted putting her elbow toward the ground. It was probably broken. The ground hardly felt hard at all almost fake, or processed. The dirt felt soft and not pack down, and the grass felt more like a fluffy blanket than the regular poky, but not necessarily uncomfortable grass she was used to.
The trees and bushes all looked like they had been recently trimmed and the dirt didn't stick to her knees after she got up. The grass looked like it had been recently mowed and the flowers did not make Ama sneeze. Beside all that, everything looked almost, cartoony. As Ama surveyed her surroundings she saw a small town in the distance and a dirt road leading straight toward the town, seemingly avoiding a dark thorny forest. It was just getting dark and Ama's eyes where just getting heavy. Ama lied down on the soft grass cuddling the small sock monkey she had been able to grab before she doubled over in pain. She fell asleep in less than 5 minutes and woke at sunrise to the sound of garbled speech.
She quickly sat up and opened her eyes wide to see two pastel colored ponies speaking gibberish. They where pulling an empty wagon towards the town she had seen earlier. She quietly followed them about 10 feet behind. After doing so for a long time she started to wonder and squish around in her head the fact that there where two pastel colored ponies speaking gibberish. They looked like the ponies from her favorite show, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. But that can't be! She understood the ponies perfectly on the show! The ponies continued to speak gibberish. Ama was actually sad she couldn't understand them.
She let that thought go and moved on. They where almost at the town now, so Ama slid behind a tree and waited for the ponies to go far enough away for her to go around the town. She skirted the edges of what she believed to be Ponyville, keeping a good distance between her and the edges of the town. She went around until she saw a treehouse-like building and carefully snuck to the door (she is sneaking around because she is not an idiot) she knocked on the door and a lavender unicorn answered it.
When Twilight saw Ama she wore a surprised and almost scared expression. Twilight welcomed Ama in and then started searching frantically for a book. Twilight pulled out a blue book and smiled as if she had found the right book. She flipped through it and smiled while yelling Pinkie out the window.
There was a flash of pink light and then a pink pony with a curly mane in front of Ama. Ama stared at her in disbelief. Pinkie stared right back! Pinkie may seem crazy, but she is also extremely smart. Pinkie started talking to Twilight and by the expression on Twilight's face Pinkie was telling her alot of stuff that wasn't in the book. Twilight looked at Ama than back at Pinkie, Ama, Pinkie, Ama, Pinkie, until she finally said something Ama could not understand to Pinkie.
