fallout equestria: no more heroes
it begins like most tales do: with a pony. an earth pony named scarlet sunshine,to be precise. that's me. our my story started on april 6th, 2078, the day I earned my mark.
"why are you telling me this exactly?"you ask.shut up,you're just a voice in my head.I'm telling you for therapy,plus,you weren't with me yet.now let me finish my story. so anyway,it was raining, the main reason I was outside. most ponies hate rain,but I enjoy the feel of dripping radiation on my skin. then I saw them trotting towards the town. raiders, 32 of them. I shouted a warning to the town and drew my gun; I've had it since I was a filly,my old .32 revolver.I fired a shot at the raiders,somehow sending a bullet through a stallion's eye. 31. two mares with AR's opened fire as well. 26. then the raiders started shooting and throwing grenades. in then end the only one who wasn't dead, dying, or running was me.I was staring down 6 raiders,ad I only had 5 bullets. on the inside I was screaming in terror,but I couldn't let them see that. in desperation I fanned the hammer,killing five of them. the last one just smiled psychotically at me,pulling out a rusty, serrated knife. I freaked,Spun,and bucked him in the face, knocking the knife from his hoof and sending him sprawling.adrenalin had taken over by then and by the time I realized it was over,I had destroyed the front of his face,and had soaked my hooves in blood, along with my mane.then I fell down and wept until I cried blood.then I cried until I was unconscious from blood loss. by the time I awoke the corpses were cold and my coat was the color of the dried blood it was caked with. then I realized that on my flank was a cutie mark: a mound of skulls under a red sun. so far my best guess it means that my special gift is being able to kill anything under the sun.I looked at in in horror,thinking it meant that my special talent was murder. the next thing I felt was acceptance(about 6 minutes later),deciding that if I was to be a killer,then that's what I'd be. with that,I looted the corpses for whatever was useful, and wandered off for the river that went past the D.C. ruins, hoping to see some more raiders or a town to get a job from. instead I found a small filly curled up in a crater in a burning town.
"...and you shot her..."you say. no!
"why in equestria would I have shot her?!" I shout.
"what?me? who are you talking to?" snowflake asks.see,now she's suspicious! this is all your fault!
"I'm talking to...um...uh...how do I say this? a voice in my head.....and yeah,I was arguing about you....the voice though I shot you the day I met you and that the you that's here is somepony else entirely...."I say sheepishly.
"why would it think that?! the only time you ever shot a foal was that time with the ghoul one,but that's because you thought he was a zombie." snowflake says.wait,why am I narrating this to you?you can hear it.
"because it helps." you say. oh yeah. sorry about shouting at you, but as you've seen, when someone says anything about hurting snowflake or me hurting a foal I tend to go ballistic...
"it's okay,I sort of deserved it..." you say. anyway,I saw her curled up in a ball, her mane and tale ragged, her coat bloody and scorched. I felt the instinct to help her,even though I wasn't very well suited to the task. of course I poked her first to make sure that she was alive. then I did the first thing that came to mind,I hugged her and told her everything would be alright(which it never is...)maybe I should tell this out loud....
"anyway, then she looked up into my eyes and asked me-"I said before I was interrupted mid-quote by the pony who said it first.
"is it true? is it all going to be alright?"asked snowflake.
"and I said 'well...no...probably not...' then she smiled at me..."I continue"...why did you smile at me snowflake?"I asked
"because you told the truth and didn't do anything bad to me, that's a lot to expect form a mysterious killer who appears out of nowhere in a burnt out town...."she explained.
"how did you know what I was?you're blind."I say.
"as you know, I can see exact shapes through the vibrations of the ground, but I can see cutie marks perfectly(while everything else is in black and white), and I could easily guess what yours meant." she answered.
"that make no sense,but I've heard crazier...anyway,back to the story"I say.
