-My name is Ato, and I'm a saiyan, 17 years old. I've been a slave to the galactic tyrant Frieza for the first 16 years of my life, my dad died in a raid, trying to protect me, and the only thing I've had some sort of attachment to is my scouter, it saved my life many times, it does the thinking and calculating for me, while I'm the brawn. Once I heard Frieza was killed by a saiyan, I didn't know what to think. Yeah sure, I'm not a slave anymore, but I have nowhere to go, now I'm just cruising to whatever planet I can find, and do the only two things I know how to do: survive and kill.-
"Arriving at unregistered planet in five minutes" a electronic voice said. It jolted me from my rest, hearing of a planet not being owned by someone was new to me, but it didn't exactly intimidate me, I needed something to kill, otherwise I was going to starve.-Ato
(perspective change)
"Zecora, do you believe in shooting stars?" asked Twilight curiously
"Yes and no, my child." she replied "Let me explain, in this world, there are two kinds of wishes, genuine wishes and selfish wishes, if your wish is genuine and righteous, it may come true."
"Oh look, here's one now! I wish for..." Twilight was about to finish before Rainbow Dash butted in
"A totally AWESOME space alien who wants to fight!" Dash said hotheadedly
".... Well, um be careful what you wish for, you may regret it later." said Zecora slightly baffled
Before the conversation could go any further, there was a "WHAM" coming from the mountains.
"Well what in Celestia's name was that?" asked Applejack
"It's probably nothing... hopefully." Fluttershy said sheepishly
"It's getting dark now anyway, there's no need to investigate, *yawn*" said Rarity
"You guys are quittin' already? I'm not even tire-" *falls on floor snoring* bellowed Pinkie pie
"Let's check it out in the morning, sound like a plan girls?" said Twilight Sparkle
It was the dead of night when I crash landed on this unknown planet, but unlike a lot of the planets I've seen, even in the night I could see that this planet was colorful, and not a barren wasteland. So during that night I killed a bear or two, for meat, and I found a shabby cave to sleep in, I dreamed of destruction that night.-
It was the break of dawn when the Mane six went to investigate the crash, and when they had finally reached the mountain, they found the alien's pod, the only traces of the alien's presence besides that were two slaughtered bears.
"Eeek! That's wasn't a shooting star?!?!" said Pinkie Pie in surprise and confusion
"Oh no! Not the bears! They've been..." Fluttershy couldn't bring herself to say the rest of that sentence
"Whatever did this is gonna pay!" Dash and Applejack said in unison. Rarity tried her best to calm down their anger, but it was no use.
Meanwhile, Twilight was deep in thought, Twilight had no reason to believe in aliens, and she wasn't going to start now, but she still had questions.

BANG!
"Twilight, where did that come from?" asked Applejack nervously
"Nowhere." she replied emotionless
"Oh no, oh god no...! Sweet Apple Acres!"
" Twilight Sparkle, get us there, Now!"
I blew it to pieces, years of sweat and hard work blown to pieces, it was child's play to me, just sticking out my finger like a gun, and bang, it was routine, and I was proud. "I am a god!" I bellowed beyond the hills, I was ready to move on to my next target until I was interrupted by some inhabitants.-
"Is that guy... floating? He doesn't look like any sort of Pegasus." said Pinkie Pie
"So what, he could be a griffin?" said Rainbow Dash
"Hey you! Keep your hooves off of my property and my family!" said Applejack forcefully. Ato turned his head, but only slightly
"Oh, so would you care to be next? Interrupting someone's business is very rude you know" said Ato smugly
"AJ, don't fight this guy, he looks a little more than dangerous. He's on me." Rainbow Dash said nervously, yet determined.
A battle of hand and hoof
-"Well, let's see this specimen's power level, shall we?" The scouter calculated the blue spectrum pegasi carefully before coming to the conclusion that it's power level was 10,000 currently, and it's max potential was around 25,000, the scouter also deduced the creature's best potential lies in it's speed. To be quite honest, I'm unaware of my own, so this could be a challenge. "Come at me, bro! Is 10,000 all you got?"-
(At this point you may want to plug in some music that goes with battles)
"Stop spouting off about numbers! Let's go!" and without a second thought Dash charged at him.
Being an experienced fighter, Ato has seen this tactic before and dodges, it narrowly hits him, taking off a piece of his armor.
Unfortunately for Dash, her reckless charge left her open for a barrage of punches and kicks from Ato, Dash retaliates with a swift elbow to the face.
The two wipe a little bit of blood off of them, and both of them are a little surprised at eachothers strength.
"Damn, your fast... 10 seconds flat and I'm already hurt. I applaud you." said Ato
"Hey, I have to give credit where it's due, you're 20% stronger than I expected." replied Rainbow
At this point, Ato isn't playing around, he loads energy into his hand and fires it out in rapid bursts of swift beams of energy.
In the blink of an eye, Rainbow dash charges into the farthest limits of the sky, with beams of energy still on her trail, 4 of them hit wounding her legs.
"Crap, not the legs! Good thing my wings work!'" From high up in the sky, she can see Ato patiently waiting for her to return to the battlefield
"Time to pull something I haven't done in a while, the sonic rainboom!" Rainbow dash begins to flap her wings to get a good start.
"Well she's not coming down, guess the energy bullets got her, and the scouters not picking up any readings." said Ato, unsure
At that very instant Rainbow Dash was bolting down at him at the speed of sound preparing a sonic rainboom.
"Holy crap what IS that?" Ato quickly realized it was his inpending multicolored death flying towards him.
"Crapcrapcrapcrapcrap!" Ato panicked and prepared his energy nuke attack
"Here I come sucker!" Rainbow Dash was only 20 feet away.
Finally, when Rainbow Dash was only 5 inches away Ato rashly released the energy nuke at point-blank range.
There were two distinct cries of terror from both Ato and Dash being caught in the explosion.
They fell like rocks onto the ground, barely breathing.
When Dash awoke a few seconds later, she was greeted by not a hoof, but a hand.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Dash said surprised
"Anyone who has proved themselves strong enough to survive such a battle deserves to live in my book." said Ato, of all people
"Why are you helping me?" Asked Rainbow Dash curiously
"I already told you, you're strong, so there's actually something going for you in life." said Ato philosophically
"Are you saying the weak have no point in living?!?!" said Dash horrified
"Yeah, pretty much. If you don't agree with my ideals, then fine, but stay out of my way." he said half-heartedly
"Stay out of your way? What kind of wacked out scheme are you planning?!" said Rainbow Dash
"My original plan was to collect resources, destroy the planet, find another planet, rinse and repeat, but if there are other people as strong as you on this planet, I'll keep it around to find to find even stronger foes." said Ato
"You just don't get it! Life doesn't revolve around fighting! Everypony has someone they care about right? Don't you?" said Rainbow Dash
The only response she got back was a look of confusion than a shrug.
"Love and care isn't what I've been exposed to, kid. For most of my life, I've been used to killing everyday joes who have the bad luck to stumble upon me. Do you think that being a slave taught to murder is going to teach you things like regret and pity? Look at your surroundings, so friendly and inviting, and then look at mine! I have seen SLAUGHTERS, so don't lecture to me about not showing kindness. Life may be all clouds n' sunshine for you but mine SUCKS!" said Ato angrily
"I- I'm sorry, I had no idea." Dash whimpered
"Nobody does, kid." said Ato, who flew back off into the mountains.
Dash quickly returned to Twilight's house to report the new information, and that she was alive.
"Rainbow Dash, your back!" said Twilight relieved
"So how did the fight go? Lucky for that weird alien critter, none of the family got hurt, but I'm still peeved at it for blowin' up Sweet Apple Acres."
Rainbow Dash than explained how the fight ended in a draw, and how he spared her life.
"Girls, I may have some info as to the mysterious alien's identity, well more like his species." Immedietly after saying this Twilight had five shocked pairs of eyes looking at her.
"I think he may be part of race called the saiyans. According to some notes a wise scientist took, they're a very barbaric group of aliens who practically live off of violence, they were practically monkeys until another group of aliens traded them some advanced technology like armor and other crazy gadgets. They transform into giant apes under full moons unless their tail is cut off, and it's best not to get them angry or else. In the last hundred years they've been enslaved and near extinct thanks to a galactic tyrant. Lucky for them, that same emperor was killed by a saiyan just a year ago, ironic isn't it?"
Twilight took a breath after her long explanation and the rest of the mane six were practically roaring with laughter.
"Oh that was a good one Twilight! Tell us another one!" Pinkie said choking on her own giggles
"Twilight have you been feeling OK? Because I think you just jumped in the wrong haystack or something!" said Applejack chuckling
"Oh my word Twilight! That's ridiculous!" said Rarity
The only ones not laughing in the room besides Twilight were Fluttershy, who was scared of the possibility of having a bloodthirsty monster in her home, and Dash who thought the theory was plausible because it matched the description of Ato.
After everyone else left, Dash stayed behind to talk to Twilight.
"Twilight, I have to talk to you." said Rainbow Dash concerned
"Sure Dash, what's up?" said Twilight
"About the alien, I think he can be redeemed..." said Dash not expecting a pleasant response
"What!?! The saiyans are crazy!" said Twilight apalled and shocked

"What makes you think that saiyan can be redeemed?"questioned Twilight
"I don't think he's evil at heart! He's been a murder slave for 16 years! Besides, he spared me! Isn't that some kind of sign?" countered Dash
"Fine, we'll try tommorow. I'll go with you, just for safety measures." Twilight said Reluctantly
"Yes!" said Rainbow Dash triumphantly
And so they went that afternoon to where Ato was camping out in the mountains alone.
"Hey so can I, um help you, alien guy?" asked Dash
"Piss off."
"Maybe we should head out, c'mon Rainbow Dash let's go." said Twilight
"No, not yet." said Dash, determined
"Hey, take this." Dash tossed a piece of bread to Ato and he caught it in midair, and then they left and repeated the process for a week, every day Ato became slightly less hostile, and each day, the bread from the previous day was gone.
And then there was monday
By monday, the whole process of Dash throwing the bread over to Ato was routine, but this time it was different.
"Listen, I have to train for... something, so you might as well keep this."
That response wouldn't seem like much, but Twilight and Dash saw a glimpse of a breakthrough, and though they walked away silently, they were beaming with hope and pride on the inside.
Once Ato had been accepted by Celestia as an official citizen, Twilight, Dash, and Ato were heading lightning-fast towards Ponyville.
Once they got there, Ponyville was bustling with energy, and there was a PSA happening in town square.
The public service announcement was being held by none other than Pinkie Pie who had made plans for a welcome party for Ponyville's new citizen, Ato, how? Pinkie sense, of course!
Pinkie was yelling into a megaphone "TODAY, I WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME ATO TO OUR HAPPY WONDERFUL TOWN! CAKE ANYONE?"
Ato was surprised to not get strange looks, he saw people smiling at him everywhere he went.
"So where should we go first?" asked Twilight
"We've got bookstores, parks, bakeries, whatever you can imagine!" said Rainbow Dash
"Do you have anywhere to get meat?" asked Ato
"Yeah, but there's a lot of other stores and whatnot, why don't we check out those?" said Twilight
Ato stopped listening after "yeah" and bolted to the nearest butcher.
"We've got bear meat, cow meat, whatever ya want!" the butcher said
"I'll take everything." said Ato drooling
"Well since your our new citizen, it's on the house." said the Butcher a little amazed
"Done shopping?" asked Dash
"Yep." said Ato carrying a large pile of meat
"Yeah, why don't we split that?" said Dash
Ato willingly carried the meat to Dash's place and they had a feast that a king would be jealous of.
"You don't have a job do you? You could be a wonderbolt, there you could practice flying." offered Dash
"Eh, no thanks, fighting's more my style." said Ato
"Hey why don't you join Celestia's royal guard? We've had alot of monster troubles lately." said Twilight
"Now, your talkin', what do I have to do to sign up?" said Ato
"Usually you have to prove your might by going through a simulation." said Twilight
"What kind of simulation?" asked Ato
"Basically, Celestia casts a sleep spell on you, and you have to fight a villian inside of the dream."
"I'll sign up tomorrow, he replied."
"Where am I?" thought Ato
"I had just finished eating at RD's place, and went to see that princess pony, and now I'm here." When he tried to remember anything else, it just was a blur.
"Oh, another victim." said an unknown voice
"Who said that? Where are you?" said Ato
"Me? I'm everywhere!" suddenly a freak of nature appeared in front of Ato.
"Your a strange-looking one." said the thing
"Oh, I'M the strange one." said Ato sarcastically
"Do you know where this is?" said the thing
"No." Ato replied
"This is my realm. The realm of Discord and disharmony of course. Look around."
All Ato saw was emptiness, a white void, strange that a supposed "realm of chaos" was so bland
"Why am I here?" asked Ato
"You exist here right now so I can make your live as miserable as possible." as soon as the thing said that, the area around them molded into a horrifically familiar place
Suddenly, the thing wasn't itself at all, it was someone he remembered far too well.
"Oh look, another worthless monkey" said the familiar thing
"... no...it's not real... not real.." murmured Ato
"Say my name, monkey, say it or you will suffer more." said the familiar thing
"F-F-Fr" Ato couldn't bring himself to say the rest
"Say it!" the familiar thing mercilessly punched Ato in the gut, leaving him writhing on the floor.
"Frieza! Frieza! Frieza! Frieza! Frieza... Frieza" he choked
The familiar thing kicked him, causing Ato to choke out blood.
"P-please spare me... I don't want to di-" Frieza choked Ato and dug his nails into his neck
"Shut up, I'm going to make sure you suffer all the way through this, you rat." Frieza had an ugly smile carved on his face.
Frieza then proceeded to cripple Ato by striking his legs with ungodly sharp energy beams, his legs were bleeding out, and Ato was slowly dying of blood loss.
"Look at you. Your terrible, you are one of the last survivors of the proud saiyan race and now you're are whimpering wreck made of nothing but broken bones. Your father died for nothing, trying to protect you." Frieza said coldly
"I've took everything you cared about your family, your home, what do you have to live for?" Frieza asked cynically
"...ends" said Ato barely breathing
"What?" Frieza asked curious
"Friends." said Ato
"Friends? Heh heh, I'll make sure they die slowly and painfully." said Frieza cruelly
"No." Ato suddenly stood up
"Wait what are you doing?" the voice came from Frieza, but it didn't belong to him
"You can remind me of my past all you want, but you do NOT screw with my friends. You hear me?!" Ato was charging up energy at a fast rate.
Frieza was suddenly changing shape back into the thing again and the setting was slowly changing back to a white void "No wait, stop! I'm the boss here! You don't make the rules!"
"I don't take orders from cowards, now I'd like you to meet my friend called justice!" said Ato defiantly
Ato uppercutted the thing before rapidly firing explosive ki in his face, finishing it with a throw to the hard ground
Ato glared at the abomination lying before him, something that had put him through physical and mental torture just a minute ago, was now a bloody pulp begging on his knees for mercy.
"Hey freak, do you know what my favorite word that rhymes with fang?" Ato said to the thing with his pointer finger aimed at the thing in the shape of a gun
"Bang?" the thing asked, knowing what was coming next
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
And then it was all over.
Suddenly Ato woke up back in Castle Canterlot with Celestia waiting to greet him.
"Congratulations Ato, you've passed the test. You are now a knight." said Celestia

Friendship is worth it (Not the end of the story)
"So when does the job start?" asked Ato who had just been awarded the position of a knight of the Equestrian force.
"I'll contact you if something happens, you're free to go for now." said Celestia
"Wait, but how?" asked Ato,
Celestia put her hoof on Ato's head and it radiated a blissful energy.
"That my pupil, was a psychic link, so I can communicate with you through our thoughts." said Celestia
"Thanks for all of this, really." said Ato gratefully
"It's not a problem, and before you go, take this." Celestia handed him the Equestrian force badge
Ato flew back to Ponyville, ready to tell Dash of his success.
"Hey Rainbow Dash, I got the job!" said Ato happily
"Great, but I need to ask you something." said Dash
"So basically this thing, er group, they're called the Wonderbolts, and I really wanna be part of it and you have to try out for it-" said Dash
"and you want me to help you train?" predicted Ato
"Yeah pretty much. Hey wait, you still don't have somewhere to live do you?" said Dash
"D'oh! Ato faceplanted "Yeah, I guess I hadn't thought about it..." said Ato
"Hey don't worry about it, if you help me train, you can crash at my place, deal?" proposed Rainbow Dash
"Deal." he replied
And so they started training vigorously, testing eachother's limits, pushing both of them harder each day.
In terms of speed, Ato was faster than the eye, but in comparison to Dash he was slow as molasses.
Then the day came, the Wonderbolts tryouts
"Well this is the day. Good Luck out there Dash!" said Ato
"Thanks! I'll try my best!" said Dash excitedly
"By the way, tryouts are private, so you can't come, sorry." said Dash apologetically
"Don't worry about it, I understand." said Ato
And so she went alone to the tryouts, nervous, but determined.
"Alright Wonderbolts, my name is Rainbow Dash and I'm here to show my AWESOME talent, flying! Any questions before I blow you away?" said Rainbow Dash confidently
"Wait,"a wonderbolt chuckled, "you're Rainbow Dash, the one hanging out with the freaky alien?"
"Oh I know which one your talking about, the one that looks like a monkey with clothes?" said another Wonderbolt
"Dude, do you like, not have like, pride, I mean like, hanging out with that thing?" said yet another Wonderbolt tauntingly
The insults slowly turned into a whole gossip session until Dash finally spoke up
"HEY! I'll have you know that "freaky alien" is my friend, and through experience I have learned that a good friend doesn't insult another friend, so why should I be friends with you guys? I wouldn't wanna be one of you Wonderdolts if it meant hanging out with you jerks!" said Rainbow Dash
What followed was a long silence until a wonderbolt broke it and said:
"Get out."
Dash left learning an important lesson that day, and had no regrets.
"Did you make it?" Ato asked once Dash arrived home
"Nope, but I think I'll be fine."
Ato, the saiyan is no longer the same person he was before he landed on Equestria. Before he was a young man fixated on murder, now he has grown into someone who genuinely cares about his friends. Now everything he has learned will be put to the ultimate test, his strength, his smarts, and his loyalty to his friends.
"Ato, Ato wake up." said a voice
Ato had just been sleeping peacefully until he had been woken up by Celestia, well Celestia's thoughts.
"Who's talking to me?" Ato said half-awake
"It's me Celestia, Ato something terrible is going to happen tomorrow."
"Oh right, I forgot about that psychic-link thing. What's up?" said Ato
"There's something you should know about my past, I have a sister named Luna, and she's being possesed by a being named Nightmare moon. She's practically invincible, her one weakness is the elements of harmony, and even then, she's only slightly weakened. She also plans to raise an army of Dark Elves. Now let me ask you this: are you up to the task?" asked Celestia
"Yes, ma'am." he responded
"But you must make sure that NOBODY knows about this besides the royal guard, I don't want the citizens panicking." said Celestia
"What's going to keep them from panicking tomorrow?" asked Ato
"I've sent out invitations to everyone in Equestria for a party at Castle Canterlot, from there, it's up to you, and the rest of the royal guard." said Celestia
"Alright, I understand ma'am." said Ato
The thought of an entire army storming the town made Ato shudder. Him combined with the Equestrian forces, was still at least seven of them vs thousands of them, and then there was Nightmare moon, a supposedly invincible foe. The only thing he could think about right now was training.
He did laps around Ponyville, lifted up entire trees, and he didn't stop until his body could do no more.
When Rainbow Dash saw him he looked a little stressed,
"Hey Ato, why so serious?" she asked
"Well, there's something important I have to tell you."
Ato then explained everything about what was going to happen tomorrow.
"Oh my gosh, there's gonna be like HUNDREDS of those guys, and that's not even talking about NIghtmare Moon!" said Dash
"I know, but just stay in the castle, I don't want you to get hurt." said Ato
"Nope, no quitting now, you gotta let me help you now!" said Dash
"But-"he began
"Nope, no buts here, I'm helping you whether you want it or not!" said Dash
".... Thanks Dash." he said reluctantly
"But if I die.." said Ato
"Don't say that! Of course you're gonna make it! Right?" said Dash worriedly
Ato gave a thumbs up and a genuine smile as a response.
For the rest of the day, Ato began to train with Dash as his coach giving pep talk every now and then.
Finally at 9:00 PM they decided that was enough for the day, and that they were prepared for tomorrow.
Ato began to reflect on what he had done that day, now he had put his best friend's life on the line, he could never forgive himself if she got hurt. "What am I going to do?" The question ringed in his head until he finally fell asleep.
This was the day, an apocalypse was going to happen and it's up to Ato, Dash, and a couple of knights to stop it, it was practically mission impossible.
In the morning, everyone's spirits were up, blissfully unaware of what was going to happen that night. Ato had decided not to train that day to save his strength for the fierce battle coming. He decided to actually look around town that day,since he hadn't actually been to anywhere else but the butcher, and to keep his mind off that night.
Ato couldn't eat unhealthy foods, which eliminated the bakery, he can't read or write, eliminating the libraries, and he wasn't hungry in general, eliminating the farmers market. So in a sense, trying to keep his mind off the invasion was impossible.
Later in the afternoon, Celestia had summoned the Equestrian force to sort out an attack plan.
"So, Nightmare Moon will be releasing her troops in town square at 10:00 PM, though there may be thousands of Dark Elves, they can't take much punishment, so really they're only dangerous if they attack at once. Once they've all perished, Nightmare Moon herself will come at you, the elements will be used as a last resort, so try your best to hold out as long as possible." explained Celestia
"But what about Luna?" a solider asked
"Luna? Once Nightmare Moon senses that her body is useless, she'll flee, besides Luna is an alicorn, therefore she is immortal." said Celestia
"You mean Nightmare Moon will just escape, using Luna's body as a vessel each time she recovers?" said Ato frustrated
"It's unfortunate, but we haven't found a way to completely vanquish Nightmare Moon yet." said Celestia just as irritated
"No sense in whining about something that can't be changed" Ato thought, still, the thought still bothered him, a foe that just won't die, Ato thought it was pretty pointless to continue to battle a foe who will will outlive him, and continue to wreak havoc and murder the innocent long after he was dead. "There's gotta be a way." he thought
Sunset was dawning on Equestria, it was the final hour before the invasion, Ato admired the sunset, wondering if it would be his last. Dash approached him and said "Listen, I know you're really, really, nervous about this invasion, and I just want to remind you, that I got your back."
"Hey, don't worry about me. You should watch out for your friends." he replied
"Well, your my friend, right?" she asked
"Yeah." said Ato
"Then I'll watch out for you, that's what friends do!" said Dash with care
"Well, I got to go the front lines, it's almost night." said Ato
"I'll catch up with you later!" said Dash
The sun was still barely hanging in the sky, Ato and the Equestrian forces were lined up, ready for the waves upon waves of dark elves.
The sun was no longer visible, now the only thing in the sky was the ominous bright-orange moon.
"Equestria! Tonight is the night when you shall crumble and bow to Nightmare Moon! Minions, attack!" a voice boomed from the sky
And then, as if they had had just appeared from thin air, dark elves surrounded the Equestrian force.
"Well men, we've found our punching bags for the night, are you ready?" cried Ato
"Sir, yes sir!" the Equestrian force yelled
Ato charged towards the horde of Dark Elves with no letup, and thus began the battle.
Ten seconds into the battle, Ato had already killed 15 Dark Elves with a barrage of swift punches and kicks, they piled up onto him, but there was no struggle Ato forced them away a single ki wave, the rest of the Equestrian forces were doing fine as well.
"Bang, Bang, Bang!" Ato fired rapid bursts of explosive ki, killing five Dark Elves at once with each shot. Ato was genuinely surprised to see how easily the Dark Elves were going down.
The Equestrian forces were very versatile in terms of combat, even if there were only six of them besides Ato, the pegasi did areial attacks, the unicorns fired magic at a distance, and the Earth ponies used their hooves to fight their way through the mob.
Though it seemed they were winning, stamina was getting low among the Equestrian forces.
"Sir, there's too many of them!" a solider cried
"Well that's a shocker, endure, soliders, endure!" said Ato
"Troops, clear the area, I'm going to do something dangerous." said Ato hesitantly
"But Ato sir-" a solider began
"Are you disobeying an order from your commander?" questioned Ato
Reluctantly, the rest of the Equestrian forces backed away from Ato.
"Well, I'm going to have to borrow this one from the royal family." said Ato
Ato extended his arm, sticking out his palm
"This is how you show saiyan pride! Dark Elves, meet something I'd like to call "Big Bang Attack!"" said Ato
The attack itself was blinding, and all that remained afterwards was a crater, smoking remains of Dark Elves, and the Equestrian forces.
From the sky, a silhouetted figure descended to the ground
"Well, well, well, you've killed all the Dark Elves, but that was child's play. I'm the strongest mare on the planet, you are but a fool if you wish to challenge me." said Nightmare Moon spitefully
"Well, then." Ato emerged from the shadows "It's a good thing I'm not a mare." he said
The final battle has dawned upon Equestria, the supposedly invincible Nightmare Moon is cornered, or is she?
"I'm a goddess! This battle shall decide your fate!" said Nightmare Moon feeling High and Mighty
"Done gloating? You're gonna drag this fight on if you keep talking." said Ato
"Just to make sure, I'll check it's power level." Ato thought, as soon as he tried to get a grasp of her power level, the scouter malfunctioned. "Perfect." he thought
And without hesitation, Nightmare Moon took the first strike, uppercutting him with his hoof, then electrocuting him with magic before he could blink.
Then, Nightmare Moon just moved back slowly, not even putting up a fighting stance. Seeing this as an opening, Ato flew at her and punched her square in the face, when Ato removed his fist from her face, she looked almost bored.
"That tickled." she said knocking Ato away effortlessly, before charging at him to jab him rapidly.
"Dammit, they weren't lying when they said Nightmare Moon was invincible." thought Ato "There has to be a way I can stall for time!" Ato knew that he was going to die if he couldn't find a solution fast enough.
"Think, think, think!" Ato thought to himself, then Ato did the least prideful thing he could do as a saiyan, run, or more accurately, a chase. Ato knew that if he fled, Nightmare Moon would come after him, so it would give him a little bit of time, but not much.
"Hey! Come get me!" taunted Ato, who flew away as fast as possible
"You will not evade me!" cried Nightmare Moon and she gave chase to Ato
She summoned storm clouds in an attempt to strike down Ato, but he was smarter than that to fall for it.
Ato stopped to take a breath, "I think I lost her." said Ato
"Behind you." said Nightmare Moon devilishly
Ato suddenly felt an intense pain in his stomach, and when he looked down, he saw a horn, covered in blood had pierced through his stomach.
"Still not dead? I can help with that." said Nightmare Moon
Within seconds, Ato began seeing holes in his body appearing at an alarming rate. Nightmare Moon was puncturing him like a balloon and he was powerless to stop it.
"Die!Die!Die!Die!Die!Die!" she cackled
At that point all seemed lost, but then a voice cried from afar
"SONIC RAINBOOM!"
In the next second, Nightmare Moon was tackled by a blue blur.
"Hey, I told you that I'd help you when you needed it!" said Dash
"That was a nice surprise, you caught me off guard. But now, both of you are going to die painfully." said Nightmare Moon unfazed
"Twilight and the rest of the gang are gonna be here with the elements of harmony soon, so we need to hold out just a little bit longer!" said Dash
"Got it." said Ato
"Oh and this is from Twilight." Dash tossed a potion over to Ato, he drank it, and he was healed of his wounds.
"Very well, I'll start with you." said Nightmare Moon, and she charged towards Dash with her horn in an impaling position.
"Not this time." said Ato and he intercepted with a strong kick to the jaw, now he could actually make her feel pain with the brink-of-death power boost a saiyan gets, but it wasn't nearly enough power to beat her.
"Grr, you mortals are getting on my nerves, Divine bolt of the heavens! I channel thee!" said Nightmare Moon
Bolts of lightning fell from the heavens, just barely missing RD and Ato.
Even though it seemed RD and Ato had the upper hand/hoof, Nightmare Moon was laughing, just laughing.
"Something funny?" Ato asked, suspicious
"If I can't win this fight, and take over Equestria, then I'll just blow it up! Haahahahahahahhahahaha!" she said maniacally
At that point Ato and Dash noticed that Nightmare Moon was building up enough destructive magic
"You're-YOU'RE INSANE!" cried Dash
"Dash, ignore it, she's too selfish to blow up Luna's body." Honestly, Ato wasn't sure, he had to tell a lie to keep Dash level-headed and focused
"Rainbow Dash, Ato, we're here!"
Twilight had arrived with Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie, and they brought the elements of Harmony as well.
"Step back!" yelled Nightmare Moon "One step closer and Ponyville and everyone here blows up!" she threatened
Ato found himself staring at the Elements of Harmony, it felt like something in him was connected in some way to them.
He concentrated hard on them, and he felt something important was supposed to happen.
"Twilight, can I borrow some power from the Elements? I feel like it would be important." said Ato
"How can you be so sure?" she asked
"I've got a gut feeling, just trust me on this one." he said determined
Slowly, Ato began absorbing the strength of the elements of harmony, but something was very strange, the elements had formed a chain of light around him, like some ritual.
Ato's hair stood up and flashed green every few seconds, the planet itself began to tremble.
"Twilight, I think it's working, keep at it!" said Ato
"Okay, I'll try my hardest!" she responded
Suddenly, Ato felt disconnected from reality
"Kindness, Honesty, Loyalty, Generosity, Laughter, and Magic, and one to unite them all: Justice." those words ran through his mind until he had memorized it. When he did, he felt he had returned to reality.
"RAGGHHHHHHHHHH!" Ato felt his body undergo a rapid change, a transformation almost.
His hair stood up, and was now a benevolent light green.
Nightmare Moon was almost ready to release her spell, but she lost concentration when she saw Ato, who looked intimidating and different.
"What are you? You freak!" Nightmare Moon asked
"Me? I am one of the last survivors of a warrior race, I fight for the good of all those around me. I fight to honor my lost people. I'm the one spoken of in legends, the lost hope. I fight those who have turned against the side of good. But most of all, I AM A SUPER SAIYAN, THE ELEMENT OF JUSTICE!" he said with no fear whatsoever
He flew slowly towards Nightmare Moon, staring her down, ready to end the fight.
Nightmare Moon said all the spells she knew to smite him, they were pebbles to him, and he just continued to fly towards her.
Finally when he was in close reach, Nightmare Moon tried once again to stab Ato, he used it as an opening, he grabbed her by the horn, and threw her flying into space.
"Nightmare Moon, you're not going anywhere!" Ato held his right hand over his head, and channeled a combination of magic and ki in it, and put it in one beam to permenately end Nightmare Moon's reign.
"No, No NO!" Nightmare Moon collided with the beam head on, and her spirit was slowly being consumed by it, leaving Luna's mind and body behind.
When Nightmare Moon died, Ato could've sworn he heard Luna say "Thank you."
It was morning when Nightmare Moon was finally vanquished.
"Hey guys, I did it!" Ato reverted back to his normal state and fell unconscious, exhausted from the large amount of ki he had used.
When he woke up, the whole kingdom was there to congratulate his victory
"IT'S THE HERO OF EQUESTRIA!" one pony cried
"THREE CHEERS FOR THE HERO!" another cried
After the ceremony, Ato was approached by Celestia
"Ato, because of your brave actions, I'm going to give you one wish, you can have anything, at all." said Celestia
"Well, I wish that somewhere out there, the saiyan race prospers and grows again, for generations and generations.

Having reached a small, but very important milestone with "redeeming" Ato, they sat in the library to discuss their progress.
"So, Twilight should we try bringing him to Ponyville yet? I think he's ready!" said Dash excitedly
"Let's introduce him to Celestia first, she'll know what to do." said Twilight wisely
Having seen Ato seven times already, Dash and Twilight were no longer hesitant to approach him.
"Hey you, alien guy!" said Dash
"What."
"Aren't you lonely up here? These mountains sure are uncomfortable." asked Dash
"I don't mind" Ato lied
"Think about it, you could have a home, food, and you could fight for Equestria!" said Dash trying to persuade him
This caught Ato's attention, he could start over, a new life, one where he didn't have to see all of his loved ones die.
"There's only one catch." said Twilight
"You have to meet our ruler first."
Ato thought deeply for a moment and then replied "Fine, I'll give it a shot."
"Great! We can start now! said Dash joyfully
On the way to Canterlot, Rainbow Dash still had much to learn about the stranger from another planet "So alien guy, got a name?"
"Ato." he replied
"Like Tom-ato?" Dash joked
"Nope. Just Ato."
Eventually they reached Castle Canterlot, and Rainbow Dash instructed Ato to stay outside while Twilight and RD discussed their new intergalactic guest with Celestia, Ato waited outside for about a half hour until Twilight got a clear response back.
"Ato, when you come in, just follow my lead, things aren't exactly looking bright for you." said Twilight
"Typical." Ato said cynically
Ato walked into the large grand hallway with Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle at his side.
"Bow to her." whispered Twilight
Ato got on his knees and without a word he bowed to Celestia, bowing to his superiors wasn't a new concept for him.
"Hey dirtbag, you disgust me, the kind who don't take responsibility for their actions, get out of my kingdom. Now." and this was all coming from the good princess Celestia
Twilight and RD were both shocked at this sudden harsh treatment coming from their mentor.
"...... I apologize." said Ato
"Don't worry, I was just testing your temper, you're free to go, new citizen." said Celestia
"What? That's it? No trials or friendship lessons?" asked Twilight caught off guard
"Nope, that's it, I was just making sure he wasn't terribly violent." said Celestia reassuringly
"Well then, what are we waiting for, let's get outta here and introduce you to everybody in Ponyville! I know people who can spread things quickly." said Dash
