It has been almost nine-hundred years since the ending of the Nightmare War, one of the darkest periods in the history of the Kingdom of Equestria. The Kingdom has since enjoyed a long period of peace, harmony, and prosperity; putting the idea of war behind itself.

Queen Celestia has worn the crown for only two decades but has shown she has what it takes to bare with the burdens of leading the kingdom and serving the ponies of the nation. Twilight Sparkle and her brother Dusk Shine have together with the other Elements of Harmony, have helped maintain the peace and harmony of their beloved kingdom.

All this changes when large ships appear in orbit over the world of Avalon from deep space, and with their arrival comes something forgotten; War. For what ever reason the visitors have chosen to ignore the calls for talks and dialog of peace, and instead have launched an invasion of Avalon using armored humanoid war-machines called Mobile Suits.

All hope seems lost, for the people of Avalon to resist the invaders seems impossible, until the Elements of Harmony unearth an ancient secret from the Nightmare War. It is called Gundam, and it just might be the key to restoring peace to the world and to the hearts of the visitors.
