The Equestrian/ Fluttervalley War
Chapter 1: Queen Rosedusts plea
Canterlot reeked of self pride. Almost to the point that it reminded Rosedust of what her home used to be like before the six days of night happened. It also felt intimidating. She could see herself living here f she didn't despise the royalty of this place. She could remember the first day that the Flutterponies first noticed the construction of this very place. Needless to say that none of them were pleased about having neighbors that worshiped and relied on Alicorns. Allowing such power to rule over you was crazy and many risks were bound to happen with them. One of the many reasons why the flutter ponies had nothing to do with any of the other races.
Rosedust and her royal guard stayed close together as they made their way to Canterlot Castle. Since this was unfamiliar territory none of them wanted to take any chances. Every now and then eyes would follow over the strange visitors. It was obvious to Rosedust that these ponies had never seen one of her own kind before and many seemed to almost be in awe at how majestic they looked. Their multicolored wings especially seemed to glow as sunlight hit them, but the Queen came for a purpose and she knew that there was a fifty percent chance that things might either end well or badly for her race if she didn't hurry. Once at the castle she strode up to the guards with her head held high.
"I am here to speak with your Princess and it must be now. I don't have time to wait."
The gate guards weren't sure what to say. They hadn't been expecting anything like this to come and just by seeing the crown on the pony who had just spoke was enough to tell them they were in the presence of royalty.
"If you wish to make an appointment it will have to wait. The Princess is busy attending to the commoners right now."
The guards seemed to notice a slight change in the royal pony as she seemed to become very angry. " I am not going anywhere until I have spoken with Celestia so if I were you I would not test my patience guardsmen."
The poor guard was sweating as he tried desperately to come up with a solution to his problem. Considering the fact that he was still a rookie made thing much harder for him. Finally he let out a sigh and motioned the Queen and her guards to follow him to the throne room.
Throughout the whole trip there Queen Rosedust said nothing only thinking of what to say to the Princess once she had her audience with her. It would be the first time in well over a thousand years since she had anything to do with Celestia and she certainly wanted to make her point across. Her people were counting on her. Hopefully things had changed since the last time she spoke with Celestia. The last time had Celestia witnessing the true power of Rosedust and finding her legs up in the air in a most unladylike fashion. The queen smiled at how she had made a fool out of Equestria's royalty, but her smile disappeared when she thought of the consequences this time round if that were to happen again. She'd get no help from Celestia and the Flutter Ponies would have to find a new home. That was unacceptable.
"Ahem." We've arrived your majesty now if you'll wait right here I will make your presence aware to the princess, and with that he went past the doors into the throne room. It wasn't long before the guard appeared again. "The Princess will see you now". He said and stepped out of the way of Rosedust and her own guard.
Once within the throne room Queen Rosedust's eyes went directly towards Celestia immediately recognizing her. Celestia still had the same flowing mane and the same violet eyes. The eyes of a monarch. If only she was willing to act as such.
Celestia on her part had not been expecting company from other royalty and was more than just a little surprised to find the Queen of the Flutter ponies before her. She hadn't heard anything from them for centuries and since Flutter ponies were not the most sociable ponies so chances of her subjects even knowing of their existence was slim to none.
Queen Rosedust? Is that you?
Yes it is me. I've come here on a matter that is most urgent.
I'm surprised you'd come to me about this matter and not take care of it yourself. After all you never showed much interest in asking for help from your neighbors before, so why now?
This was it. It was now or never and the Queen could not allow the latter. No. She had to do this and hope for the best.
The reason I have come to you is because that my people need your help.
Before Celestia had a chance to speak Rosedust held out her hoof to silence her.
Allow me to explain why we need you before anything else. You see a thousand years ago the moon stay in the sky over Fluttervalley and did not move from that position for six days. During that time the sunstone which gives our land life began to die. The sunstone was in need of sunlight in order to stay alive but without it it will die. We watched as it lost it's power and We watched as the moon did not lower. By the time the sun rose again it was too late. Now Flutter Valley is practically dead. The only way to revive Flutter Valley is if the sunstone were revived. You are the only one who can do this because of your connection with the sun.
Princess Celestia tried to keep a poker face but the fact that she knew why the moon had not set like it should have made her sweat.
What do you propose I do? Celestia asked.
Gaining confidence in those words Rosedust continued.
In order to revive the sunstone you must give it your power...All of it.
