Pink Thunder
Morning!
Previous ChapterNext ChapterI woke up the next morning to the smell of caramel pancakes. I'm not even sure I was awake fully as my body drifted out of the bed and through my house towards the kitchen. My eyes fell upon a hazy pink form stood in front of the stove. It turned around, revealing the smiling face of Pinkie Pie who was holding a plate of caramel pancakes. "Mornin'!"
My senses returned to me then and I fell to the floor as my wings straightened out.
"Crap..." I muttered, pushing myself off of the floor and moving to the table. Pinkie looked at me and giggled. "Well at least you seem calm." I said, folding my wings back into my body. She smiled warmly at me.
"I haven't had my coffee yet."
She made two cups of coffee and sat down, pushing a plate of her pancakes towards me. I took a bite and was instantly lost in flavour. I sighed, my eyes drooping and pulled a goofy, lop-sided grin. Pinkie giggled again.
"That good?" She asked, to which I only nodded. "Well eat up then!"
Blue Moon walked in groggily and smiled when she saw Pinkie.
"Mornin' Pinks. How're you?" She said, sitting down.
"Fine thanks, here. I made breakfast." Pinkie replied, pushing a plate of pancakes to my sister. They were gone in a matter of seconds.
"I invited a couple friends over to jam with us later, you in?" I asked. Moon looked up from her plate and raised an eyebrow at me. "What!? Its just some fillies! One of them got their cutie mark and its a guitar, and we need a guitarist, so I asked her to come over, and her friends wanted to come too, so I said yes." Pinkie looked at me, her head tilted to the side. "What?" I asked, confused.
"Don't you need to breath?"
My eyes widened as I realised that I hadn't breathed at all since telling Moon about the girls and I gulped in as much air as I could. Pinkie giggled again and I smiled at her.
"You know, you're really cute like this. Maybe you should lay off the coffee?" I said. She frowned slightly, taking a sip. "S-sorry!" I stuttered, afraid I'd upset her.
"It's okay." She replied, not looking up." I just have a... condition. Coffee helps."
"Oh." Great. Now Pinkie's upset and I feel bad.
"Hey, how about you hang with us today? I've heard you have a great voice." She blushed slightly and smiled.
"Sure, why not."
"Cool. You know any good songs?" Blue Moon asked.
"Well. There's the one my brother used to sing to me. It's kinda catchy."
"Would you mind singing it for us?" I asked. She nodded and walked over to Blue Moon's keyboard after handing me two pieces of paper.
"Lyrics and sheet music. I'll need your help."
I picked up my acoustic and sat the sheet music in a stand. After we played a quick opening melody, Pinkie nodded to me and I went with the tune...
