To Applejack, My Best Friend, Whom I Slept With
By TheCakeOfLies
Rainbow Dash was feeling a sense of fatred (fate + hatred) currently. The last thing she wanted for herself and her fillyfriend was an emotional and physical tragedy. She was utterly certain that breakfast-in-bed wasn't supposed to involve such a calamity. She was sure that she would be able to put out the flame before she put the fried egg on a plate.
She had never felt this lousy since the day she missed Applejack. Not as in 'Applejack was missing from her' but rather 'She kissed the pillow'.
Fortunately, this was not their first attempt at a kiss. That one was fine, perfectly romantic and delightfully loving. This one, however, was their first and failed attempt at what they had to describe to Apple Bloom as 'just cuddling', thus they decided to partake in an activity that was more in the lines of that actual term. They didn't want to scar her, so it was the best choice of words and best to not continue what they were about to do.
To this day, they still had yet to achieve this... special goal.
However, they never would have guessed that this night would be different.
The fire was caused by a simple napkin. A simple napkin that was not paid any attention as it was carelessly placed on the stove after being used for a few wipes of the face. The pan was lifted right off the burner, which was still on, and Rainbow had been so excited to bring Applejack her meal that she nearly flew up the stairs with the pan in her hooves, leaving the napkin to ignite.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, she apologized sincerely and was forgiven not-so-sincerely, but there were still thoughts about the whole ordeal later in the night.
As they both decided on sleeping in Applejack's bed, they each carefully slid under the covers, said their goodnights, and shut their eyes.
Now the scene is a room. Applejack's, in fact...
...The lights were out...
...It was bedtime...
...The only sound being made was the rain from outside...
...Two mares in bed...
"Hey," Applejack whispered.
Rainbow's ear twitched a little before she responded. "...Hm?"
"Why aren't you cuddlin' with me?"
Rainbow opened her eyes and turned uncomfortably to face her. "Well, I guess I just wanted to stay on my side of the bed tonight."
Applejack stopped what she was about to say and just stared at her, surprised. "Nopony has a side of the bed, Rainbow."
"Yes we do. This is my side, that's your side. I am on my side of the bed, and I don't want your... body, touching on my body on my side of the bed."
"W-wh-what're ya talkin' 'bout? There ain't no sides of the bed, nopony has a side, Dash--"
"Yes, this is my side, and I don't want you touching me, okay?"
"Ah ain't touchin' you...!"
"You totally are! Look at that." Rainbow lifted the covers to reveal the contact. "Your tail is rubbing up against my tail and getting tangled in it, see?"
"Well, sorry. Ah thought you always liked it when we did that."
"Well, I don't." Rainbow jerked her tail away from Applejack's.
Applejack pulled the covers back over them and furrowed her eyebrows. "What's wrong with you? How come ya gotta have a side of the bed an' ya don' wanna cuddle or anythin' like that--"
"Because you didn't appreciate the fact that I made breakfast for you while you were in bed--"
"Well, you didn't need ta go an' burn up the stove, ya know!"
"You think I meant to!?"
"Why're you two yellin' at each other?" came a muffled, tired voice from the other side of the wall. "Ya know how late it is?"
The two froze, blankly staring at the wall. "Sorry, Apple Bloom," said Applejack. "We weren't arguing or nothin'."
"Well, ya need ta tone it down," Apple Bloom said from behind the wall. "Ah'm tryin' ta git some shut-eye, as well as everypony else."
"Don' worry, we were jus' goin' ta sleep ourselves." She looked at Dash and gestured toward the pillow with her head.
"What?" whispered Dash. "You woke me up."
"You weren't cuddlin' with me."
"You didn't appreciate breakfast."
"You burned up half the kitchen."
"It's not like I meant to..."
"...Well, no. But Ah didn't see ya cleanin' up the mess like I was."
"I said I was sorry..."
"...Well, yeah, ya did..."
"I said I was sorry..."
"...Ah... You..."
"I felt really bad about it, too. It was all just a big accident."
Applejack hung her head, feeling the unwanted guilt of the pain she now knew she caused her best friend and fillyfriend. It really was just a big mishap. A flaw that was without one's fault. She knew it wasn't her fault, but she felt she needed somepony to take the hit. Lifting her gaze back up to meet with Rainbow's, she sighed shakily, her lips trembling as she began to speak. "Ah--... Ah--... Ah'm sorry, Dash. Ah guess it really isn't anypony's fault at all. Ah shouldn't be mad at you. Ya didn' really do anything wrong... Maybe clumsy, but that's just part of who you are. No offense..."
"None taken."
"Ah guess Ah just felt like Ah needed somepony to blame for it... Ah mean, it took out good chunk of the kitchen." She noticed how Rainbow shrunk back slightly the comment. "But at least we put it out before it got to anythin' else."
Rainbow nodded weakly, still feeling a fool's guilt for burning up part of the kitchen. It made her wonder how she could do a Sonic Rainboom but still not manage to handle breakfast. It scared her slightly, but she was confused for the most part. She shook her head, refusing to let herself be trapped in her own thoughts while somepony was talking to her.
"Hey..." Applejack put a hoof on her cheek, turning her eyes to meet her own. "...It's okay. We can fix it. Rebuild it. Maybe make it even better. Everythin' will be just fine, okay?"
Rainbow nodded and smiled. Applejack loved that smile to no end. Not the egotistical smirk she usually wears all day, every day, but her kind, forgiving, genuine, caring, and loving smile. It filled her heart with a sense of peace, gratitude, and love for the Pegasus. To have her was to have your favorite recipe cooked and served to you every morning, filling your nostrils with the wonderful scent. "But..." Rainbow began, "You and I both liked it just the way it was, right?"
Applejack sighed again and nodded. "Of course we did." She then began stroking the speedster's mane, running it through all of the different hues. "Yer so pretty, Dash. Beautiful, even. Ya know that, right?" Rainbow nodded and blushed. She then moved a bit closer to Applejack and began to reach back for the farm pony's mane.
"Ever since that awkward talk in the orchard I have..." She fiddled with Applejack's hair ties until she was able to pull them out. Applejack didn't seem to be struggling or fidgeting, so Rainbow took it as a sign to proceed. She chuckled a bit. "You forgot to take these out," she said as she held one of them in front of her.
Applejack chuckled as well. "Oh, Ah guess Ah did." She then lidded her eyes half-way. "...Oops," she said alluringly.
Rainbow began to breathe in deeply, taking one breath at a time. She didn't know how it always happened, but there was always this way of crossing the 'safe' boundary lines that Applejack possessed, 'safe' being 'not too intimate or sexy'.
Applejack then raised her tail to give Rainbow access to it, intentionally flicking her chin with its end. Her little tease must have worked, she figured, because she noticed that Rainbow was now beginning to lower own eyelids, staring at her as she smoothly used her teeth to remove the hair tie from her tail. After successfully doing so, Rainbow brushed the tail up against her own cheek, feeling its soft and rich silkiness. Rainbow knew she was the only pony in the world who was allowed to do that. She was grateful, too. It made her feel special and privileged. It also made Applejack feel special and privileged, knowing that she was the only pony that Rainbow would ever show this much affection to. The much more open side of Rainbow was a side that only Applejack was able to know.
With a smile stuck on her lips, Rainbow gently kissed near the tip of the tail. In surprise of the contact, Applejack lifted her eyelids to better watch the sky-blue mare plant more kisses on her tail. She watched as Rainbow slowly began to run her tongue around the end of it. As she watched, she couldn't help but feel quite envious. Not of Rainbow, but of her own tail. As she thought more about it, she began to rub her legs together, trying to suppress the fact her friend's actions were way more arousing than it would seem.
'Holy smokes!' She thought. 'I'm jealous of my own tail! I'm not sure I can just watch her like this for much longer. That beautiful mane, them gorgeous pink eyes, her soft cheeks.' She turned her gaze to look just under Rainbow's nose. 'Her lips, though... I don't know what's gonna happen after tonight, but I need to have those lips on mine at least once. But if it happens once, I don't think it'll ever stop.' She then looked back at her tail. 'I wonder if Rainbow knows what she's doing to me...'
Rainbow smirked and continued to make out with Applejack's tail, well aware that she was causing her companion more than a few thoughts of want. She then looked directly at Applejack, taking a long, extended lick of the tail. As she withdrew her tongue, she waved the tail in front of Applejack, whispering, "Jealous, are we?"
Applejack couldn't fight it anymore. The teasing, the heat, the arousal, and now the strong desire. She knew what they both wanted, and she knew that Rainbow had riled her up intentionally, and despite her own stubbornness, she was going to give her what she wanted. What they both wanted. What they both desired.
"Quite," she whispered back. "Yer in for it, darlin'."
"Oh, am I?" Rainbow teased once more. "How s--mm...!" She was abruptly interrupted by the farm mares lips on her own, engulfing her mouth in a passionate kiss. As she released the tail, she had little time to take in the fact that her mouth was immediately but welcomingly invaded by a tongue. Being forcefully turned onto her back, Applejack rolled on top of her, still under the blanket, straddling her belly.
Dash began to moan softly into the kiss, feeling her fillyfriend begin to gyrate her hips slowly atop the lower end of her tummy. Smoothly, she felt Applejack slide her hips closer to her own hips. Rainbow broke the kiss, looking her lover in the eyes. She knew that Applejack was aroused, but she didn't think she wanted to go that far. "Are you sure, Applejack?" she asked shakily.
Applejack nodded as if it were obvious. "Of course, Rainbow. Ah love you. There ain't nothin' in this world that'll ever stop that love, neither." She then smirked. "An' besides... Ah'll touch yer body if want to. Even if Ah am on 'yer side of the bed'..."
Rainbow smiled, put her hooves around Applejack's neck, and pulled her down so they were belly-to-belly. "Likewise. I love you, too."
With that, their kiss continued, soon turning into several smaller, but just as meaningful ones. As they made out on the small bed, Applejack slowly began to rub her hips against Rainbow's, nothing stopping her this time. This caused a chime-like whimper from the Pegasus, though they refused to break from their tongue-dual, aside from occasionally needing to breathe. Applejack developed a slow rhythm with her hips, with the effect of Rainbow instinctively bucking her own hips upward, arching her back, creating a gentle pressure between them. Applejack naturally brought her hooves to Rainbow's mane and started running them through the prismatic strands. Rainbow did the same, being sure to regard the fact that her mane was still untied, therefore being gentle with it. As pressure began building in her abdomen, Rainbow broke the kiss as it constantly became harder to breathe.
"Oh, oh...! Ohmygosh! Applejack, it's, it's--..." She was once again cut off by way of kiss. Once Applejack pulled away, she spoke in clearer sentences.
"Ooo-ho-ho-hoo... I feel it, too, sweetheart... It's comin', it's comin'..." She then looked down and noticed Rainbow's wings, stretched out and untouched. They had been unregarded throughout the whole night until now. She felt a strong urge to reach down and play with them.
Little did they know that Apple Bloom had been practicing her entrances, particularly focusing on the 'upset with my siblings' routine.
When they heard the door kicked open menacingly, they both shrieked, stopped their activity and separated to their respective sides of the bed. When they looked at the silhouette standing in the doorway, they could have sworn there was a quick, bright flash of light coming from outside the window, followed by the horrifying sound of thunder. They heard door creak a bit after bouncing off of the wall. They both hid themselves under the blanket, pretending that nothing happened and that hopefully the figure would leave. Or that it wasn't there in the first place.
They stayed this way for about fifteen seconds, until Rainbow finally spoke up.
"What are we doing?"
"Ah... Ah don't know. Apple Bloom caught us an'--"
"Exactly. It's only Apple Bloom. So what?"
"Well, we don't wanna scar her for life, right?"
"Yeah, but why are we hiding?"
"Huh. Ah dunno." She pulled the covers off of their heads. "That's just silly." They then turned to look at the filly in the doorway... who was no longer there. They sighed in relief, grateful that the demon had gone back to bed. But they couldn't help but wonder why she would cause all of that racket, only to go back to bed. Maybe it was a warning.
"What's jus' silly?"
"Oh, nothin', just--AH-MIGOSH!!" Applejack bit the blanket and was startled back at the sight of her sister standing beside the bed, tired eyes and a mess for a mane. There was a dim light from the hallway shining on her eyes, revealing that she had been denied any sleep.
"What's jus' silly?" Apple Bloom asked again, growing impatient, despite how irritated she already was. Applejack, moving in Rainbow's direction, gulped and took the sheet out of her mouth.
"U-uhm... N-n-nothin'... Nothin' at all, s-sis... I-it's a might late f-fer you ta be up, ya know... Y-ya silly filly... Heh." She grinned a sheepish one, knowing full well that the reason behind her sleep deprivation was their own doing.
"Oh, is it now?" Apple Bloom retorted darkly. "Sure seems like the perfect time ta be wigglin' around in the bed, callin' out each others names like it's the end of Equestria." The two shrunk back and blushed, guilty of being caught in the act. Apple Bloom closed her eyes and rubbed the side her head. "Now, Ah don' really know what y'all were doin' in here, an' Ah sure as heckfire don' care. But whatever it was, it needs ta stop, ya hear?" They nodded quickly. Apple Bloom sighed and looked back and forth between the two as she spoke. "Now, Ah'm gonna say this, softly and clearly..." She looked at Applejack. "If Ah hear... any more... arguing..." She looked at Rainbow Dash. "If Ah hear... any more... bed-wiggling..." She closed her eyes and sighed again. "Ah'm goin'... to git... the Whip." There was a long pause for unlovely thoughts and fears to be held in. All things bright and beautiful were no more in their minds. They were no longer scared or afraid.
They felt like they were dead where they were laying.
Apple Bloom turned and walked to the door, turning around to face them again as she stood in the doorway. "Lay down," she commanded. With a small whoosh of wind, they obeyed, closing their eyes and pulling the blankets up to their shoulders. "Go to sleep," came another command. They obeyed in the same manner as last time. Quick and simple. They both began snoring obnoxiously to see if she would buy it.
Rolling her eyes, Apple Bloom shut the door quietly and went back to her own bed.
Breathing in deeply, Rainbow tried to understand what just happened. She opened her eyes to find her companion in the same situation. Her eyes were wide, grazed with fear and a few other feelings. "That..."
Rainbow nodded. "...Yeah."
"Yeah..."
"She played the Whip card..."
"Yeah, she did... She played it good."
They had never seen the Whip...
...but they had heard about it. It was fifteen feet long... Eight feet wide...
And it had long hooks on it. So, if it ever hit you, it would rip the meat off of you.
"Are you thinkin' about takin' the easy way tonight?" Applejack asked quietly.
"Yeah... Sleep, right?" Rainbow asked. Applejack nodded blankly.
"That's the one."
Rainbow nodded and sighed. "I guess so... There's not much left to do, is there?" Applejack shook her head in agreement. "Well," Rainbow continued, "goodnight then, I guess."
"Yep. G'night."
The two laid there in perfect silence, trying to close their eyes, but neither wanted to. There just too many things to think about, fates to imagine, and plans to find a way out of being killed tonight. Finally, Rainbow managed to close hers first, Applejack following her shortly.
Then a realization dawned upon Rainbow Dash.
"Wait a minute..." she said. Applejack opened her eyes.
"What?"
"That was only Apple Bloom," she realized.
"Yeah...?"
"She can't tell us what to do..."
Applejack furrowed her eyebrows. "Yer right..."
"I don't care what she says. I'm still frustrated, and you probably are, too. We are going to make love tonight. Am I right?"
"Sure as sugar, you are..." Applejack chimed seductively. Rainbow quickly rolled on top of the farmer while still under the blanket, gazing down at her lovingly. Their bodies were perfectly aligned, leaving no space between them. Gently, Dash unfurled her right wing, slowly moving it toward her lover's cheek. She then moved it in small strokes down the side of Applejack's face, tenderly caressing her. The farm mare leaned into her touch, finding the feeling to be quite soothing. The Pegasus then swiftly moved her head forward the short distance it required and kissed her tenderly, igniting Applejack's senses. She could now say that she was fully awake, despite how far from sleep already was. They both closed their eyes and Rainbow stopped caressing her cheek with her wing. There were no words or thoughts needed as the two shared one of the few things they could share with only one another.
As they continued like this for five to seven minutes, there were soft, wet sounds, quietly echoing throughout the room. They were lost in their own little world, the only ones in which being the two of them. Nothing else existed for the time being. They were lost, but it didn't feel like it. Instead, it felt like they had been found, found in a whole new dimension that accepted them gratefully.
That may have been exaggerating things, but that's how it felt.
Applejack then made a bold move, rolling over and placing the mare she was kissing...
...on the floor.
It was stupid, but it was bold all the same.
Thud.
The sheets came with her as she fell. "...Ow," The rainbow-maned Pegasus said emotionlessly. Applejack immediately felt guilty, shameful, and a whole bunch of other things that you can probably find in bad dreams. Though, instead of getting mad at Applejack or feigning hurt, Rainbow simply pulled her off the bed as well, so that the farmer was on top of her. Smirking, Rainbow shot her lips upward and kissed her again, Applejack immediately returning it. They then hooked their hooves around each other's necks, holding each other so they couldn't become any closer than they already were. They disappeared again into their own world with just the two of them. Their tongues danced as they kissed, breaking away every now and again to breathe, but only to reconnect immediately. It was during this process that they both found themselves to be moving against one another naturally. Applejack broke the kiss and looked between herself and Rainbow, then looked at the Pegasus herself.
Their breathing became ragged as their movement went on. "No stoppin' now," breathed Applejack. Rainbow nodded, developing a faster rhythm, Applejack following suit. Their pace was still a slow one, but they both knew it wouldn't be for long. They both became hungry in desire for another lip-lock, thus both went about it the same way. They continued to kiss and move against one another...
...until...
BOOOOM!!
...another flash of light came through the window, followed by the sound of another booming thunder. They both froze and then looked toward the door, fully expecting Apple Bloom to be standing in the doorway again, only to find it was still shut. Untouched. Sighing in relief, they looked at each other and shrugged before hesitantly engaging in another heart-melting kiss.
They began to gently stroke each others manes, before resuming their tempo, moving against each other. Their breathing became jagged once again, breaking their kiss to better sustain it. Their eyes were closed and lips parted.
Then, in the midst of their passion, a thought came to Applejack's mind. She opened her eyes to look at her lover, whose eyes were still closed. "This... Th-this is... L-lust... Isn't it?"
Rainbow opened her eyes and gazed into Applejack's gorgeous green ones, their rhythm still in motion, therefore, it was still hard to breathe. "U-uh, only some of it... M-most of it... I-I'd say it's... made up out of... o-out of our... l-love for each other." The words were way too mushy and sweet for her taste. "Do you... r-really... wanna t-talk... w-while we're doing... this...?"
"Ah'm serious, Dash... A-Ah was just askin', ya know..."
"Sor-ry..."
"Don't make me come in there!" came the familiar voice from outside the door. They both gasped, trying as hard as they could to stop their movements against each other, eventually coming to a stop. Applejack rolled off of Rainbow, frantically looking for an idea of a cover story. "Ah've had more than enough of you two. But it seems the two of just can't git enough of each other."
They both blushed. Hard. Rainbow looked at Applejack and whispered, "Well, it's true." Applejack nodded with a stifled chuckle.
"Always fightin' an' arguin'. Ah'll tell ya, it's gotta stop some time or another." Applejack felt Rainbow poke her with a hoof. She then looked at Rainbow to find her pointing toward under the bed. Applejack nodded in agreement. Rainbow then rolled under it quickly, followed by the farm pony.
Breathing deeply, they waited for another noise from outside the door. After about fifteen seconds of silence, Rainbow leaned over to kiss Applejack again, but only to be stopped by a hoof. "Shhhh... Ah'm pretty sure Ah heard the door creak open." Sure enough, the dim light from the hallway was shining through the doorway, but there were no hoofsteps to be heard.
There came another flash of lightning, and another thundering boom, viciously startling them.
"So." The closeness of the voice caused them to jump a second time. They looked to Rainbow's side to see Apple Bloom laying on her back, under the bed with them, her hooves folded. They were clueless as to how she got there, but they could really care less for the moment. She hadn't finished speaking yet. They waited for her to say something, but she kept it that way, knowing that they were hanging on the edge of her words.
After a good fifteen seconds, she spoke up. "Wha's so attractive about this particular part o' her room, Rainbow Dash?" Rainbow swallowed.
"Heh, uhm..." she tried to start. "Well, it's private, I guess...?" Applejack nudged her, indicating that her answer was not a smart one.
"Really now?" Apple Bloom replied without looking. "Now... why would ya need somethin' like privacy at this time of night? It's sleepy-time fer all of us, here in the Apple house... That means me, too. But ya see, Ah can't exactly git ta sleep, hearin' all the noise goin' on right next door ta mah room." She looked over at the two of them. "What exactly is causin' all that noise, hmm?"
They panicked mentally. There wasn't a single way out of this without lying bluntly. And there weren't very lies that couldn't be seen through at this point. Applejack's right foreleg twitched as she thought.
"Well...? What was it?"
She looked at her surroundings, noticing that the only things close to her were two ponies and a bed.
A bed...
Bingo.
"She fell off the bed, sis," Applejack fibbed, speaking much too quickly. Rainbow's eyebrows furrowed. "She fell off the bed, and that's what made that thud noise. You fell off the bed, didn' ya, Dash?"
"Yeah," Rainbow played along, feigning agreement, "I fell off the bed 'cause I didn't notice she was k--uh, pushing me." Applejack pursed her lips, ready to push the blame back on the Pegasus. But then she opted for just taking the blame herself instead. If they wanted Apple Bloom to believe this, she knew it wouldn't be wise to compete. And besides, it wasn't really worth it.
"You pushed her off the bed?" the filly inquired.
Applejack sighed. "Yeah, Ah did," she said sadly. "Ah don't really have a good excuse, either, Ah mean she was on my side o' the bed, but that's not very reasonable to complain about." As the words came out, she realized how much of an insult it was to Dash.
Dash felt her eye twitch.
Apple Bloom looked at her hooves. "Do ya know what time ya went ta bed tonight?"
They shook their heads side-to-side.
"Ten o'clock." She paused, letting them anticipate the next question. "Do ya know what time it is now?"
They shook their heads in the same manner as before.
"It's two... forty... In the mornin'." She paused once again to let them ponder the situation they now had on their hooves. They now knew the circumstances, so they should be able to make the choices from here on out.
"Well, it sounds like you've learned your lesson," said Apple Bloom, looking at her sister. She then looked at Rainbow. "And you?"
Rainbow nodded quickly. "Mmhm."
"And what would that be?" Apple Bloom eyed her suspiciously.
Rainbow's eyebrows raised. She gulped silently. "S-stay on my side of the bed...?"
Apple Bloom proceeded to stare at her, gazing through her eyes and piercing into her soul relentlessly. She then slowly started scooting out from under the bed, eyes darting between the two of them. "Fine. Good." She stood up after she scooted out from under. "Ah hope ya mean that, ya know. 'Cause if ya didn't, Ah might jus' have ta git the Whip."
"Oh, gosh... Please don' git the whip an' rip the meat off our bodies..." Applejack pleaded, not knowing whether to be serious about it or not.
"G'night." The door was shut gently, the two mares let out breaths they were oblivious to holding in.
Nothing else was said for a good amount of time. No noises were made save for quiet breathing, occasional thunder, and the pitter-patter of the rain on the roof.
'Wow...' thought Applejack. 'Beat down by own little sister. Twice. Rainbow must think I'm a total sissy-pony. But then again, she took the hits, too.'
'That must be embarrassing,' thought Rainbow. 'I'm still not sure I can say I know what it's like to have a sister yet. I mean, that's not what their like at all. At least, from what I've heard...'
They were both simultaneously reminded of each other's existence when they attempted to roll onto their sides to sleep at better angle. They bump muzzles.
"Ow..." they said in unison.
Rainbow rubbed her nose. "Hey," she said, "I don't want you touching me on my side of the floor, either."
Applejack felt a small jolt run through her body. The phrase seemed to have had a new way of turning her on. She smirked, scooting over and embracing Rainbow so their torsos were stuck like glue. Rainbow quirked a brow. "Like Ah said before, sugarcube," said Applejack, smiling an ornery smile. "Ah'll touch yer beautiful body if want to."
Rainbow then smiled that very same ornery smile.
•-•-•-•
"Gol-ly! Are they makin' them noises again?" Apple Bloom said, sitting up in her bed to get a better listen. Sure enough, they were at it again. She sighed, removing her covers to get out of bed and to hopefully knock some much-needed sense into the two idiots, but was stopped by two hooves looping around her chest from behind.
"Come on, Apple Bloom... Just leave them be, I'm pretty sure they'll calm down on their own pretty soon..."
She was pulled back to lay down on the chest of her Pegasus friend once again. She turned her head awkwardly and looked into Scootaloo's eyes as they looked right back. "But... they've been at it fer like five hours now... A-Ah can't just--" She was silenced with a hoof on her mouth.
"Trust me," Scootaloo told her, completely aware of the actual event that was taking place in the next room. She knew Apple Bloom didn't know, but she also knew that it wasn't exactly her place to teach her about... that. "They'll be done shortly."
"Done with what?" Apple Bloom asked.
Scootaloo looked at the wall that divided the two rooms. "You know, making noises. Causing racket."
Apple Bloom tried to struggle and wiggle out of her grasp. Scootaloo held her firmly and spoke in a quiet tone. "Oh, please, Apple Bloom? For me? Would you just let it go?" She felt Apple Bloom beginning to settle. "Please? For me?"
Apple Bloom finally stopped fidgeting and sighed once again. "Alright then..." She smiled and pulled the blanket over herself and Scootaloo again. "Fer you, sugar."
Scootaloo smiled warmly and kissed her softly on the cheek. "Good filly."
Author's Note
First attempt at a one-shot. I don't really know what to think of it yet.
I will make up my mind eventually, though!
