I didn't ask for this. I didn't ask to BE this. It's nothing I could help. I've been this way my whole life. How can the others live like this? I just don't understand it. Perhaps I'm jumping the gun a little bit. Hi, my name's Pesticide. and I'm a changeling. I don't like it, I hate it even, but it's the way it is. It's not all bad though. I managed to make some friends. Not my own species, grantid, but...you know...friends all the same. You wouldn't happen to want to hear the story, would you? Well I suppose if you didn't want to, you wouldn't have clicked this story, so here goes nothing.
The others had just got back from a failed attack on Canterlot. I never was one for joining along on those. It's why I don't like being a changeling. I can't stand being evil. The queen was upset as always. I thought I'd never be able to escape being around these...evil...creatures. But then that night, I got an idea. I'd leave the hive. So, once they were all asleep, I got up and started quietly sneaking away. Someone caught me.
"You. What are you doing up?"
"Shh...I'm just getting up for a drink of water."
"You sure you don't want me to go with you?
"No no, it's fine, I can handle it."
"Alright, then. Good night." and he went back to bed. I made a silent sigh of relief as I flew off towards the nearest pony city. I decided I need a persona. Nopony's just going to let a changeling walk into town. So, i turned myself in to a green pegasus with a dark green mane and tail and blue eyes. I decided I would name myself Evergreen. Yeah, Evergreen, normal pegasus pony. And it was time to start my new life as Evergreen.
When I finally got to civilization, my wings were sore, so I decided to just walk around. It was definitely a normal pony town, but what town? I looked around, but there were so many ponies, that I didn't know who to ask. All of a sudden, I see a multi-colored blur coming at me, soon knocking me over.
"Ow."
"he he, sorry about that," once I cleared my vision, I saw that the multi-colored blur was a cyan pegasus with a rainbow colored mane and tail, purple eyes, and a multi-colored lightning bolt mark on her flank.
"It's alright. What is this place?"
"You're new, aren't ya? Well, welcome to Ponyville. I'm Rainbow Dash, the greatest flyer in all of Equestria."
"Well, nice to meet you, Rainbow Dash. My name's Pest-I mean-Evergreen."
"Nice to meet you too. Sorry, again, I should really look where I'm going."
"It's fine, Rainbow. So, what's it like here in Ponyville?"
"Well, it's a nice little town...most of the time...there have been a few...hiccups, but other than that, it's a nice relaxing town." that was a relief to hear. There was always such fuss at the hive. Nice to have found a place to take a break from all that, a great place to start my new life.
"Just what do ponies do in this town? other than pegasai taking care of the weather, that is."
"Well, my friend Rarity owns a Boutique, and Applejack owns Sweet Apple Acres, oh, and Twilight lives in the library."
"A library, huh?" I was always wondering what kind of history ponies have accomplished. That kind of stuff was forbidden for changelings to learn.
"Yeah, you wanna check it out?"
"Sure."
"Alright, follow me," she flew off, but realised that I was merely jogging behind, "Uh, you alright?"
"Yeah, my wings are just sore from the flight here."
"You do realise that there are trains, right?
"Not where I'm from."
"Well, alright, I'll try to go slow."
