Hello, sparx here and as most of you im a brony, now I have a question why do you like my little pony? Because it’s funny? Because it has character development? Or maybe because it has something that reminds you of your childhood? The real reason is none of these things. You don’t realize just why you like it you may think you know but your wrong.

Let me tell you from my perspective, tonight I was reading an issue of the my little pony comic and it was really good then my mother walked in, she knows im barony and doesn’t care, as usual we got in an argument over a simple thing this argument lasted roughly 30 minutes. I shuffled back to my room sad and broken from our conflict, we never had physical contact but words hurt just as bad, I sat down and looked up to see the happy smiling face of rainbow dash on my computer screen. At this I started to cry feeling the pain of an argument and the real truth.

What I had realized was our world is never good and it never was it may seem like it but it’s just some sugar coating to disguise itself for a short time. The world was never nice and never will be, that’s way we create these fake perfect worlds to help us. All these cartoons were never designed to entertain us they were made to give us hope something to wish upon, something to love, and something to live for. These shows let us see something our world never had –freedom, care, and love- they help us fight on because we wish on them, yes we wish on these computer generated shows, we wish they were real and alive so we could live in them and feel what it’s like to have real freedom. And as for the bronies, we have it at the worst we crave, we desire, we feast on the idea of equestria becoming real. If we had those cute and fluffy ponies running around us giving us real fun we’d never leave we’d love it and stay forever.

But as we all know we never get what we want, the show is just another moving picture on a box that we call a television. The world is horrible, untamed, and deadly but theirs is peaceful, magical, and loving. We as bronies, not only us but fans of other cartoons as well, wish on the screen to become real for us to live and thrive in equestria or any other show you love and care for. Now you’re most likely thinking “oh you can meet the voices for the show.” Yes we can but as most of us know it’s not the same the VA’s may carry some of the traits as the mane six but it’s not like meeting the ponies themselves.

If I ruined your thoughts and feelings for the show I am truly sorry, I thought that the fandom had to know what the real truth is. These are my thoughts, theories, and presumptions. Now I must go I can’t keep these depressing thoughts in my head. Hope you all still love the show and tolerate everyone you meet because it’s the only thing that we need right now.
