DivaView OnlineForgotten TalesDivaAuthor's Note Basically, an attempt at something sad. Way too many clichés and dependance on song lyrics. I personally don't think there's anything salvagable or usable for any of my future stories. Diva "Twilight, Twilight!" shouted Spike after he acquired a letter. "Yes, Spike?" answered Twilight. "You've got an invitation to some sort concert. It takes place tomorrow." "A concert?" she asked. "I don't know Spike, I really should be studying. I don't think I can delaying the book about alchemy Zecora gave me." "Oh, come on Twilight, how many concerts have you been to?" Arguing with him was pointless since he knew Twilight quite well. Instead, she sighted. "Fine, but I hope you don't expect me to sing along or pretend I like the song." Spike didn't reply and I kinda figured out he was much more excited than Twilight was. "I don't really see anything special in music. It's just... sounds played in an order. I would rather read a good book."" she though. Nevertheless, on the following day, they went to Canterlot, bough the last tickets and found their respective seats. Spike didn't wait for her and immediately ran to his. Twilight was concerned with his... behavior as this wasn't the way he acted normally. "Come on Twilight! You don't wanna miss it!" he shouted, annoying the ponies sitting around him. "Oh, sorry." Soon after, Twilight sat next to him and the concert started shortly after. The curtains opened and revealed a figure in black robes sitting behind a grand piano and playing it. After a couple of seconds, she stopped and looked at the audience to make sure they were listening. Then, the figure, now revealed to a mysterious mare, started singíng. "I'm so tired of being here. Suppressed by all my childish fears." she sung with an angelic voice. Twilight was now curious but didn't pay much attention to the song. "And if you have to leave, I wish that you would just leave, 'Cause your presence still lingers here, And it won't leave me alone." It was now certain that this was a very sad song, possibly about someone the singer lost.. "These wounds won't seem to heal, This pain is just too real, There's just too much that time cannot erase, When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears, When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears, And I held your hand through all of these years, But you still have all of me." The singer took a brief pause and then begun playing passionately. The whole audience was speechless, yet puzzled at who the singer may be. Twilight was too, impressed by her talent, yet curious about her identitty. "I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone But though you're still with me I've been alone all along." After these verses, guitarists emerged from the stage and started playing. Shortly after. The singer's robes were blown away and it was revealed to be none other than Queen Chrysalis. The whole crowd erupted and gave a loud "boo", but this didn't stop her from delivering the best performance she could. Twilight jumped out of her seat, ready to stop any plan she might execute. "When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears, When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears, And I held your hand through all of these years, But you still have all of me... All of me... All of me..." Chrysalis finished singing, took the microphone from the piano, stood up, walked up to the crowd and started speaking. "I know many of you wouldn't even let me sing if you knew it was me, but I had my reasons behind this." Twilight' horn lit up, ready to stop any sinister plan. Chrysalis noticed this and shook her head. "I won't lie to you, and instead, I'll be completely honest, even though I know most of you now want to banish me and my group from Equestria forever." Everyone except Twilight calmed down. "I am not a siren who has come to hypnotize you or those you love but to mourn someone I lost a week ago. As my father, he meant a lot to me and... I haven't figured out how will I or the rest of the changelings live without him. " Transparent green tears started rolling down her cheeks. "I... I'm sorry for trying to take over Canterlot but the only thing I wanted was a brighter future for my subjects. But there is no place in Equestria for mutants like us. If this gave you a different look on the world, good for you. It it didn't, I won't judge. We've been hated a thousand years ago and it's a fate that is very unlikely to change." Chrysalis stopped speaking wiped away her tears and finished her speech. "Thank you all for listening." She then headed to the backstage along with her guitarists and Twilight followed her, mcuh to the crowd's disgrace. "Twilight, please." said Chrysalis. "Actually, I wanted to talk to you." replied Twilight. "Have you come to laugh at me for now being an orphan?" asked Chrysalis. "Or tell me how glad you are that changelings are dying out?" Twilight was unsure why Chrysalis was so hostile. Well, one can't blame for being a bit stressed after all she went through. "The changelings are dying out?!" said Twilight, shocked. "How... why.." "Not enough love." replied Chrysalis sadly. "Almost every hatchling doesn't survive birth. That's why I wanted Canterlot." Twilight was now very concerned about the Changelings, even though she knew the opinion of one mare won't give them freedom to roam Equestria. "How did the changelings come to be?" she asked. "They remind me of winged ponies." "That's because we were winged ponies." replied Chrysalis. "Seven thousand years ago." "What... what happened?" asked Twilight. "Why did they become changelings." "Turns out you don't need a lot of effort to frame a whole species of something they didn't done." replied Chrysalis. "I... I don't understand." said Twilight. "What did you do?" "Ask your mentor. She's the oldest alicorn in Equestria."
UntitledView OnlineForgotten TalesUntitledAuthor's Note In short, this story is based on an alternative universe in which Nightmare Moon banished Celestia and became a despotic ruler. Some aliens helped her achieve this at the cost of the whole world being enslaved, with Nightmare Moon serving merely as a puppet dictator. This was one shot at how the ending of all that might have went. Since you don't mess around with aliens who travel between dimensions, the apparent victory of an ensemble cast and return of good ol' Celly wasn't enough to drive them back. The idea of the Reaper-esque dialogue (Mass Effect trilogy) was dropped due to already being a crossover with one series and so was the inclusion of the Doctor from Doctor Who. Legends speak of wizards who would be able to swiftly use all those ideas and make them work, but I am not a wizard. Plus, it would cross over with waaaayyy too many things at once. Untitled "Your world exists because we allow it and will end because we demand it." said an eerie voice and the message appeared in written form on all screens. It stayed there for a few seconds before showings spaceships around Equus and then turned off. "I... I don't understand." said Twilight. "We fullfilled the prophecy, we brough you back and drove them away from Equestria, was that not enough?" "I'm afraid it wasn't, Twilight." said Celestia. "Not even I can battle with such a force and fleet, but there is one thing I can do." "The thing being?" asked Trixie. "I can transmit an universe-wide calling for help but I can't guarrantee someone will come to save us." she answered. "With Luna gone, It's the only thing I can do." "Well... what's keeping you?" asked Twilight. Celestia nodded, approached one of the terminals and then begun speaking. "We have fullfilled the prophecy, drove them out of planet and lost countless lives to our cause. But that wasn't enough. If anyone out there is willing to help us, please do so. You are our only chance." After transmitting said message, they waited but didn't get a reply. Before they would accept their fate, however, they heard a wheezing and an unknown object started to materialise in the center of the room. As the sound became louder, the object also started to become clearer. It was partially transparent at first, but moments later, the sounds stopped and it was there, a big blue box with many small windows and a single door. Twilight and the rest of the gang could barely believe their own eyes. Suddenly, the doors opened and a clothed, bipedal creature walked out of it. By the looks of his face, he was equally suprised to seem them as they were. "Ponies?" he said. "That's... weird." He took something from his pocket and aimed it at them. It was the size of a small stick and produced a high-pitched sound when he aimed it at Twilight. He did this with the rest of the ponies in the room and then tucked it back into his pocket. The ponies looked at each other, puzzled and confused by his actions. "Now, who of you was calling for a Doctor?" he asked.
Far NorthView OnlineForgotten TalesFar NorthHe cautiosly approached the sarcophagus and took the sword next to it. Almost instanly, his vision flashed and soon after, he found himself in a completely different. He couldn't move or speak and all he could do was watch. It was night and he was standing at some sort of balcony, staring at the land before him — mountain ranges covered by snow. Someone else appeared behind him and his body turned around without his command. "Olivia, why are you up so late?" asked a mare in royal clothing. "Princesses like you need their beauty sleep. Tomorrow is your twenty-first birthday, everyone from all around the kingdom will come. I think each and every guest will want to see you at your best." "I know, mom. I was just... looking at the night sky," From this point, it became clear that Silver Thunder was only witnessing some sort of memory from the perspective of this 'Olivia'."Shame something as wonderous as this only shows up during the night, isn't it?" "Oh, a real shame it is," said the mare and walked to Olivia's side. "Our astronomers say that every small, white dot, is a world yet to be discovered and visited." "You think there's someone out there," asked Olivia. "Wondering what it's like down here?" "No one knows," said the mare. "Some say we're alone and some say we're not. Both of these theories are equally frightening." The mare leaves and Olivia heads back into her room, laying down, covering herself with a blanket and closing her eyes. An undisclosed amount of hours later, loud noises wake her up and a soldier runs into her chamber. "Princess, you need to come with me," he said. "Now!" She jumps to her hooves, but is still a little dizzy from her disturbed sleep. "What? Why?" she asked. "What happened?" The sound of a catapult was heard in the distance and a big rock crashed into her chamber. The soldier quickly pushed the Princess out of the way of it's trajectory, but died in the process. She gasped and covered her mouth with her hoove in horror, horrified of his death. Fearful and shaking, she approached the door and cafefully opened it. By the looks of it, an unknown attacker was attacking Castle Everfrost and after seeing soldiers barely able to keep the barricaded double doors fortified, it was more than obvious that even the Everfrost Palace was under attck. Then, there was a sudden halt. Before the soldiers at the barricade could catch their breath, the double doors burst open, knocking them away. A single figure was seen behind them - Princess Celestia, donning golden armor and wielding her oathblade. "Attack!" she shouted, pointing her sword forward and a large number of similiarly armoured soldiers ran in. The other soldiers were no match for them, but to their luck, there was still the Royal Guard. They kept their line for a couple of minutes but even they were no match for Celestia. The few who remained regrouped and fled into the King's chambers, along with Olivia. However, they didn't go inside. Instead, they locked the doors with the best charm they knew and fought valiantly to keep it that way. The royal family stood together, unarmed, waiting for the outcome of the battle outside. After a while, all sound stopped. "Is... is it over?" asked the Princess. "I don't know dear, I hope so." replied the queen. Seconds later, the door burst open and sent a powerful shockwave through the room, tossing the family away like ragdolls. Olivia ended up at the balcony while the rest of her family was knocked unconscious. She got up and saw Celestia infront of her, her blade at her neck. "It's over now." Celestia lifted the sword with her magic but before she could strike, the Queen appeared from behind and attacked her with a sword. Celestia countered the attack, disarmed the queen and stabbed her through the chest. She then tossed her like a ragdoll next to Olivia. "MOM!!!!" she screamed. "NOOO!" The princess kneeled to her and held her hoove, crying. "I... love... you... Olivia...." After those words, the queen was gone. Celestia lifted the Princess with her magic. "It's funny how much you resist, yet in the end, it's all in vain," antagonised her Celestia. "You or your kingdom of criminals can't run forever." She forcefully torn off the Princess' horn via magic, causing her to scream in pain and then turned her around and showed her a watery pit full of rocks below surrounding the castle. "The pit beneath this castle will become your tomb." Before she could end the Princess's life, Celestia was hit from behind by a ball of ice. She let go of the princess and turned to her would-be attacked. The attacked turned out to be the King, who was holding a spell tome to defend himself and his daughter. "No more," he said. "It ends today." Celestia smiled and begun casting fire balls. The king dodged all but the the last and was blown away. She laughed, as if celebrating her victory, but much to her suprise, the king stood up to his knees and took out a scroll. "By the Order of Mystics and the power of winter," he read the scroll and a an icy ball formed around Celestia. "The effects of forgetting and teleportation to aid in our defence." Celestia's magical bond with her sword was cut, causing her to drop it. "You think you can stop me?" She begun casting an unknown spell with her horn and the ball started cracking. "You are banished! Celestia, the tyrant, begone, forget about this place and never return!" The ball begun imploding, but before the spell could be carried out completely, Celestia channeled some sort of spell onto the ground. Then, she disappeared. Afterwards, there was silence as the fighting stopped, the attackers unabkle to remember where they are or why they are fighting the remnats of the Windigo Kindgom. Then, out a nowhere, a crack appeared around the balcony. Before the King or Olivia could react, the balcony collapsed and took her down with it. The king jumped afte,r her but couldn't target her with any of his magic, almost as if she was enchanted. Not even levitation proved helpful, as both her and the remains of the balcony plummeted down the pit at an impossible speed. Shortly after, both her and the balcony fell down into the water. The memory ends with the vision of a pony being burried underwater. It then cuts to the few surviving members of the Royal Guard and the King using their magic to get her out. As they finally bring her ashore after hours of trying, the king mourns the loss of both his wife and his daughter at the hand of Celestia. Blamed for an event almost two-thousand years ago, with this event, the Windigo Kingom has fallen. The last vision shows the the king from a third-person perspective burrying his daughter on Sorrow Island, giving her the honours of a warrior and burrying her alongside Celestia's blade. The memory sequence then ends and Silver Thunder is once again holding the sword. If he ever gets back from Sorrow Island, he'll find be asking his superior, Celestia, a few questions.
Royal DutiesView OnlineForgotten TalesRoyal DutiesLuna ran out of her chamber, having had received a very important letter from someone else who was very important. As she ran, however, she did not see a rather vicious trap set up by her ever-loving sister. As soon as she made contact with the floor, she found it frozen and soapy. Unable to control her movement, she was sent crashing into a large bunch of bananas and then, plummeted down the stairs of the Canterlot Palace, making the sound of a rubber duck as she hit every single step. After nearly fifty seconds worth of the event, seen by almost every royal guard, she landed face first infront of Celestia, who was accompanied by two, rather suspicious ponies. The suspicious thing? They were twins, though didn't share the same gender. Like when you take two red apples and the second turns out to be a pear. Figures. One of them was wearing a sandwich blackboard, while the other carried chalks conveniently via a small pouch on her back. "Hehe, gotcha!" let out Celestia with a giggle, seeing as she got her sister once more. The female twin wrote one more line to Celestia's side of the chalkboard, increasing Celestia's score to seven, versus Luna's one. Luna lifted her head, her dizzyness accompanied by three little ducks floating above her head in a circle. She quickly shrugged this off and stood up, threating her sister with an angry, yet still adorable face. For once, the princesses though about drinking a youth potion that would last for a whole day. This meant that even after a heated argument, they were unable to make nagry faces and ended up waddling away from the scene with the ferocity of a baby penguin. "Were you following me," asked Luna. "the whole time?" "No, we weren't," answered the male twin, as he suddenly appeared behind her back. "You're the one," started the female twin, who too, mysteriously appeared just around her. "Who's following us." "So... ready for another round?" asked Celestia.
