It was a dark and stormy day in ponyville as many ponies rush into their houses to escape the oncoming weather, yet through all the chaos of rushing ponies, no-one noticed the mysterious hooded figure enter the town. As this stranger wandered through the town he seemed to be oblivious to the rushing ponies and easily weaved his way through the madness as if he encountered this often, yet in spite of this seemingly difficult task he seemed to unfocused as he bobbed and weaved through the crowd seemingly in deep thought as he unknowingly wandered into a crossroad.
The stranger realized this and quickly skidded to a halt, just as he did so a rushing by in a carage nearly flattened him as it rushed by. "That wouldn't have ended well for me..." muttered the stranger. Now that the stranger was standing stil, many passing ponies finally noticed him and gave him strange looks, but the majority of them still ignored him. As he waited for the cart traffic to thin-out, the wind picked up speed and the rain became heavier. "Nice weather they have here" grumbled the stranger. The storm became more violent by the minute and soon the dirt roads of ponyville became a muddy swamp, littered with hoof and cart prints, yet the cloaked figure still stood waiting for a chance to cross.
The stranger frowned, "this could be dangerous" he exclaimed to himself, but no sooner did the words leave his lips did he hear panicked scream from a pony leading a large wooden carrage down the dirt road, the pony seemed to have been going too fast when leading the cart and lost control of the carrage, but the driver couldn't keep up and was now a screaming bumper pinned to the cart by the sheer speed of the vehicle. The cart was approaching quickly toward the intersection, the stranger stiffened, "everypony run quickly! There's a loose carrage headed this way!" He screamed over the thunder and rain.
As soon as everpony realized this they began to panic and scatter, "please everyone remain calm, and don't panic!" Yelled the stranger, no-one listened to him, "dammnit!" He yelled, he quickly searched for a way to stop the carraige, but he was torn from from his thoughts when he heard a voice yelling over the rain, trying to calm the crowed, he turned to see a purple female unicorn, running around trying to get someponies attention, but no-one listed, they were too frightened, attempting to escape the oncoming accident, as she was yelling, she failed to see an oncoming cart, "look out!" Yelled the stranger, but it was too late, the cart nicked her side and she screamed in pain as she he the ground dazed, she was now in the direct path of the oncoming carraige, which was now only a few yards away.
The strangers eyes widened, "DAMMIT!" Cursed then made a desperate dash to save her, the crraige was now a yard away as he dived in it's path, grabbed the uincorn and rolled away, just as the carraige zoomed past. Now the cloak was missing and the stranger was now clearly visible, he was a unicorn pony with white fur, a slicked back yellow mane with a single strand of hair hanging in front of his right eye, he wore a pair of round glasses and he had a single grey feather tucked behind his ear and cutie mark was a single silver quill.
After a few moments the stranger realized he was still holding the purple unicorn and quickly let go and picked himself up off of the ground slightly embarressed, as he was about to check on her wounds however he stopped and stared at her only just now taking in her apperance, she was definetly a unicorn pony, she had light purple fur, a dark purple mane with pink streaks in it, and her cutie mark was that of a sparkling pink star, the stranger stood there for a few moments staring at her in a trance, he was surprised at how attractive she was, even covered in mud she made his tounge drag on the floor.
Only too late did he notice she was doing the same with him, he shook his head and blushed slightly, "forgive me for staring" he said cooly still blushing, she awoke from her own trance, also blushing, "that's ok, my names twilight sparkle, whats yours?" The strangeres face then went serious "you don't need to know" he then turned to leave, but was stopped by a light purple wall of energy, the stranger paused and raised an eyebrow, "you can't just save my life and just walk away from me without telling me your name!" Said twilight sternly.
The stranger rolled his eyes, "watch me" he said after walking around the energy wall, but after about two steps, she appeared in front of him in a flash of light, "I'm not moving until you tell me your name!" Said twilight in an annoyed tone. "Your full of surprises aren't you?" Said the stranger now a little impressed. "Why won't you answer my question?" "Who are you?" And you'd better answer me this time. The stranger looked amused, "and why would I do that?" Twilight grinned, Because if you have a problem telling one girl your name then what would happen if the whole town of people asked you for it? "What are you talking abo- he stopped and looked around to see a now calm group of curious ponies walking towards them.
His eyes widened, "fine you win, but only on one codition." Twilight raised an eyebrow, "what would that be?" He smirked, "don't blink." "Wha-" was all she said before he dissapeared in a flash of light. Twilight looked around to see herself now alone, "that lying little- she stopped when she saw a silver feather left in place of the stranger, was all it was, but for her it was more than enough. I've gotta find spike.
Twilight panted as she entered the library, exhausted from the rush to get there, "SPIKE!" She yelled from the doorway, he jumped and screamed, but turned around to see it was just twilight. "Wow, you don't have to yell I'm right here." Twilight smiled sheepishly, "sorry." "What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost." Asked spike, twilight then had an urgent look on her face, "I'll tell you the details later, but right now I want you to get a letter ready" "what for?" " I have a message for princess celestia." Said twilight hurridly. Spike nodded, "ok, I'm ready."Dear princess celestia, somthing strange happened in ponyville today, first- a storm started and no weather pony was in sight to stop it from causing any damage, the storm caused a cart to lose control and nearly kill a few ponies and me. Two- I was saved by a strange pony who just entered ponyville. I'm afraid he might cause trouble, and would appreciate your advice. Your faithful student, twilight sparkle. As twilight finished her sentence spike rolled up the scroll and sent it out with his flames.
A few minutes later, a reply came from the princess, "what does it say?" Asked twilight in suspense. Spike opened the letter and began to read alloud, "Dear twilight sparkle, this is indeed troubeling news and I will look into it immediatly, but before I do, do you know this stallions name? Your mentor princess celestia. Twilight hesitated before giving the silver feather to spike to send to celestia. After a few minutes with no reply, twilight got worried "maybe she thinks im pranking her?" Said twilight softly, but not long after she said that a flash of blinding light engulfed the room, but after a moment, the lights faded revealing a worried looking celestia, "twilight, find the others, I have grave news."
An hour later, twilight returned to the library with all her friends following close behind, as twilight entered the library however, princess celestia was no longer alone, but insteade speaking with the stallion who saved her, twilight stared at the stallion in shock, "WHEN DID HE GET HERE!? AND MORE IMPORTANTLY HOW DID HE FIND WHERE I LIVE!?" Yelled twilight in a panic. Celestia looked away from the stranger to look twilight and her friends, "I'm glad you all could come, I would like you to meet silverquill, he's an old student and friend of mine."
"He's here in ponyville to find the perfect adventure and make it into a book and trust me when I say, he may have just found it." Said celestia seriously.
Twilight looked confused, "friend!? Student!? book!? When I told you about him earlier, you said he meant grave news!?" Celestia simply shook her head, "no twilight, I said I 'have' grave news, but he is connected to the problem if it makes you feel anybetter." The stranger now revealed as silverquill, then walked up to twilight, "are you still mad ant me for the name thing? Because if you are, then I want you to know that I'm sorry for being rude, and I hope you can forgive me." Silver then stuck out his hoof for a hoofshake.
After a few moments of hesitation, twilight accepted his hoof and shook it blushing slightly, "eerr... oo kkaayy?" Said twilight unceartanly. Silverquill let go quickly, but before he could walk away rainbow dash stopped him, "you don't look too sorry to me." Said rainbow angrely. Silver quill then smirked slyly, your rainbow dash right?" Rainbow eyed him suspiciously, "yeah, why have you heard of me?" Silver quill was still grinning, "as a matter of fact I have, I heard your the slowest pegasus in all of equestria."
As soon as those words left his lips, rainbow growled angrily and pounces onto him. "Wanna say that again, blondie? " she said angrily "rainbow, calm down" twilight said "he didn't mean it!" Rainbow dash jumped up and glared at her "that's total bull, and you know it" she said "your just defending your new boyfriend!" As twilight's head turned red with embarassment, silver quill's eyes grew to the size of dinner plates. "A-at least we know she likes stallions" silver stammered. Rainbow dash looked ready to explode."ENOUGH!!" Celestia commanded "this is no time to argue, I have vital information you all need to hear" celestia sighed "I was not telling the truth when I said the elements of harmony are the most powerful force in equstria, there is power that rivals it." At this point, the room was silent.
Everyone was shocked, everyone but silver quill that is. Silver smirked "you didn't tell them, nice job there" celestia ignored him and continued speaking "they are the elements of heroism, silver is the element of justice." Silver glared at her "way to spoil my dramatic speech princess." Applejack gasped "wait one applebuckin' minute here, yer sayin there are five more ponies like him out there, and we have no clue where ta find em?" Silver quill laughed "I doubt they are anything like me redneck, and who said they are all ponies?" All eyes were on him, with varying levels of anger and shock. "Everypony calm down, silver quills right, the other elements are out there and they could be anything, so you must learn to get along with silver quill." Said celestia calmly.
"I don't care weather they hate me or not, right now all I care about is getting some sleep." Silver yawned, "ok princess, let's get to canterlot, I think I have just enough bits to book a royal sweet for the night." Celestia glared at silver quill for a moment, before a cruel smile came across her face. Silver quill had a scared look on his face, "eerr... what are thinking about doing? Celestia smile widened, "silver you will stay here with twilight" said celestia with a hint of amusement.
"WHAT!?" Yelled twilight and silver at the same time. "Dammit celestia! You know why I can't do that!" Twilight tilted her head, "why not?" Asked twilight confused. Silver glared at celestia, "don't worry your pretty little head about it." Said silver before storming out of the library. Twilight blushed a little, "pretty..." said twilight softly. Celestia sighed deeply, "you may all go now, but get as much rest as you can, I have a feeling your going to need it for the days to come.
As all the girls were leaving, rainbow dash paused and turned around to see twilight still sitting there blushing, she then rolled her eyes and turned around and left with everypony else. Celestia felt a tinge of worry, " i hope their ready." Thought celestia, before dissappearing in a flash of light, leaving twilight alone, with mixed feelings for this new stallion, who saved her life, and yet wants nothing to do with her.
Meanwhile, several miles outside ponyville, a cloaked figure stands on a small cloud several feet in the air. "So, she's here" the figure mumbled "don't want to keep them all waiting, now do we?" The figure sighed before revealing a massive pair of dark wings "this is gonna be one hell of a party!" He shouted, Leaping off the cloud and flying toward town.

A mysterious figure draped in a dark cloak sat on a cloud above ponyville "this place seems so boring, something needs to happen soon or I'm going to snap" the figure raised its head slowly and stares at a peculiar house shaped cloud in the distance."If she lives here it can't be all that boring." The figure stands up and reveals a pair of long dark wings "this is going to be awsome" the mysterious figure said, before dropping off the side of the cloud with the wings tucked in. At the last minute before hitting the ground the figure snapped open its wings and glided inches from the ground, flying straight at the house shaped cloud.
Rainbow dash was relaxing in her cloud home, she had just woken up and finished her daily training routine. She had the day off today and was considering visiting twilight, until she heard a knock at her door. "Geez, how can you make that much noise with a cloud" she thought. As she was walking to the door she thought she heard voices "keep your saddle on, I'm coming" she mumbled. When she opened the door she was shocked to see 5 of her friends (and silver) standing in front of her, she nearly yelled in panic, until she rememberd the spell twilight learned for ponies without wing to walk on clouds.
"What are you guys doing here?" She asked "is there an emergency? Is chrysalis back? What's going on?!" Applejack nearly laughed at her friends ridiclous attitude "calm down, ain't no problem goin on, just thought we could pay you a little visit is all sugarcube" pinkie jumped out of nowhere and started to do cartwheels and roll around. "I love walking on clouds, they are so fluffy and fun!" She smiled "I also like to jump, run, roll, bounce and slide on clouds, they are just so much fun, I wish my house was made out of clouds!"
"I'm glad you like my house pinkie, but why go through all the trouble of casting that spell on everypony twilight, would have been a lot quicker and easier to hang out on the ground." Twilight grinned sheepishly "sorry rainbow, I forgot to ask your permission, but this is silver's first time on a cloud and I thought visiting you would give us the perfect time to try it." At the mention of his name silver looked up at them "are you sure these clouds are stable? If I was meant to walk on clouds I would have been born as a pegasus." He said flatly. "Now that we got the pleasentries over with, let's have some fun" rarity said.
After a few hours of board games and a few narrowly avoided fights, everyone was ready to go home for the day. "Well, I had fun gay hair, I managed not to die in this deathtrap you call a house and kick your flank at ponopoly all in one night" silver said. Before rainbow could kick his flank a large object crased through her kitchen window. "What the hay?!" Before anyone could react a cloacked figure flew in front of rainbow "your rainbow dash right?" Silver gasped "t-that voice, it can't be! Get away fom him!" Ignoring silver, rainbow replied "duh, didn't you see the mane? Why did you just crash through my window jerk, if your a fan you could have just asked for an autograph." Before anyone could move the figure pounced on rainbow and flew out the window with her. The figure carried rainbow to a small cloud a few feet away from her house. "You. Me. Race. Now. Prove to me that your the fastest flyer in all of equestria!"
A normal pony would have panicked or would have been too scared to move, but rainbow wasnt a normal pony. "A race? That's all you wanted? Sure, this is going to be easy!" At the sound of a challenge all other thoughts melted away, she was born to race. "Show me the course and I'll kick your flank around it all day long!" The mysterious figure pulled back his hood to reveal an eagle like head and a devilish smile "I like you, this is going to be fun!" Rainbow gasped "your a griffin?" Before he could respond he was hit by a large beam of energy "I don't know what your doing here sole, but your not going to hurt anypony while I'm here!" Silver growled.
The griffin flew back up and landed on a cloud near dashes, seemingly unharmed. He threw his tatterd cloak away, revealing ash coored feathers on his body, idenical to his wings. "So that's my name huh? Pretty cool. Sorry blondie, I don't know what your talking about. I'm just here to race." Silver was taken aback by this "what? You don't remember me?!" Rainbow was confused by all of this "what in the hay is going on!?" She yelled. Silver glared "I'll explain later, just get away from him. He is dangerous." Sole rolled his eyes "come on, lighten up blondie. All I want is a race, I'll deal with your crap later." He turned to rainbow "so how about it beautiful, wanna race?" Rainbow's head turned almost as red her mane "b-beautiful?"
Before sole could respond silver surrounded sole in a magic sphere of energy "your not going anywhere. I'm going to ask you questions, and your going to answer them, got it?"Sole noncholantly looked at the bubble around him "whatever, but after we are done playing 20 questions, I get my race, got it?" Silver was confused, he was definitly sole, but why was he so peacful? After thinking for a minute he nodded. "I hope I'm doing the right thing." He thought. "We can talk inside."
Rainbow walked into her living room where all of her friends were sitting. As soon as she walked in she was hit with a barrage of questions, where did she go? What happened? Who was that? Before she could answer any of them, silver stepped up beside her. "It was all a misunderstanding, that nutcase is an old friend of mine." Before anyone could question further a large figure floated into the room, it was a bubble of magical energy, but the occupant is what drew everyones attention. "Sup?" Sole said noncholantly. Silver sighed "silence prisoner, don't speak unless spoken to." The prisoner was obviously a griffin. He had white feathers on his head, but the rest of his feathers were almost all a dark grey, almost black.
Apple jack raised an eyebrow, "who the hay is this? Is he the one who foalnapped rainbow?" Sole looked at her and grinned "close, but no cigar. She was completely willing to come with me." Everyone was shocked to see rainbow nodding in agreement "the goofball just wanted to race. I don't blame him, who wouldn't want to race the fastest flyer in equestria." Sole smiled "if your wings can move as fast as your mouth does, then you should have no trouble keeping up." Rainbow glared at him "oh, you are so going down!" Before they could argue further, silver cleard his throat. "I hate to interrupt the lovers quarrel, but I need to speak to romeo here alone."
Hearing this rainbow's head turned a purple color and sole smiled suggestively. "He wishes! Not even if he was the last pony in equestria!" Rainbow said "its a good thing I'm not a pony then, isn't it." Sole said, still smiling. Before either one could continue silver used his magic to force the mane 6 out of the room and shut the door, ignoring the whines and complaints. "If anypony but me opens this door, I'll feed you to sole." He was satisfied to hear almost all noise on the other side of the door stop. He turned to sole with a glare "now, you won't leave this room until I get answers." He said, with a hint of annoyance.
Silver sighed, exasperated. "You really did lose your memory, didn't you?" Sole rolled his eyes "of course, I've told you a million times blondie." Sole said, dripping sarcasm. Silver was getting frustrated, he had only been interrogating sole for about half an hour, and he already hit a brick wall. After a few seconds of thought he ended the spell surrounding sole and sighed "we're done here, your free to go. Just don't make me regret this." With that sole grinned as they both exited the room. As soon as they walked through they were instantly surrounded by dozens of canterlot royal gaurds with their weapons pointed a them. The mane six were all being blocked by the gaurds to make sure they didn't interfere.
"What's the meaning of this? All of you stand down!" Silver growled angrily "stand your ground!" An angry voice boomed. The gaurds parted slightly to reveal a very angry luna. "This monstrosity is under arrest for war crimes, he is comig with us." She glared "celestia has sent me personally to detain him if he resists, not even you can stop us." Silver quickly used his magic to create a gap in the gaurds that led to the open front door. Before anyone can react sole moves in a blur to the door and divs off the side of the porch. All of the gaurds scramble after him, quickly following him. Luna turns to silver angrily "do you know what you have just done!?" She shouted angrily "I saved an innocent life." He shot back, with a perfect poker face. "You and I both know that isn't true." She whisperd before folowing the gaurds.
When all of the gaurds were gone, twilight looked behind her and nearly had screamed. Sole was standing behing her, slightly panting. As everyone else noticed his presence they all let out a collective gasp. "Where the hay did you come from!?" She shouted "I saw you bolt with those gaurds chasing you. How are you here?" Sole smiled happily "afterimage, I moved so fast it looked like I left, but I just flew out and back in before anypony noticed." Rainbow was amazed " you have got to teach me that!" She shouted happily. "Not right now, I'm going to canterlot to talk to the princesses. Until I get back sole is staying here." Everyone was shocked except for sole, he just shrugged. "As long as i get to race the hottie." He said. Rainbows head nearly turned as purple as twilights. "But why make him stay at the scene of the crime?" Twilight asked. Silver shrugged "its the last place they would expect to find him" he said as he walked out the door, on his way to canterlot.
