Sweetie Belle's heart raced and blood pumped. Her legs were kicking the air, her eyes glowed, She was looking at the thing siting on Cheeirlees marble desk. Beside the pictures of her family and about two inches away from the test they had just took, which Sweetie Belle is confident she got an A on was the one holy thing she only cared about at the time.

The ballot box.

Sweetie Belle wasn't listening to Cheerilees lesson or Diamond Tiara's snorting remarks. Everyone was having a typical day learning the same old lesson that Cheerilee taught. There was a drawing of Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna. They just learned about Night Mare Moon and how Twilight Sparkle destroyed her with the Elements of Harmony and the power of friendship. The window was open and the sun reflected in bringing a bright light bursting through the window. Other than the blank flank chant that Diamond tiara started once in a while, Sweetie Belle heard the birds sing there songs and the beautiful classical music by Octavia playing her cello in the distance. The high, quiet, and soft but sad notes that Octavia played made musical harmony and elegance.

Cheerilee finished her lesson and walked towards the ballot box. The sun's reflection off the box made lights around the classroom making everyone marveled by its beauty.

"Ok class." Cheerilee looked around. ''If you want to be in the running of school president please grab a piece of paper and write your name and drop it in the box." Everyone got up except Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Silver Spoon. There was an eerie silence as Sweetie Belle got up. Silver Spoon brushed her mane back and whipped her hair back with it like she was saying that she is gorgeous. The line was pretty long, first was Snails and Sips who were gossiping, then Twist was next after them, Diamond Tiara was after her and stood there with her chest up and hair back. Her eyes were close; she peaked at Sweetie Belle who stood there looking at her like she was weird. Sweetie Belle nervously looked back at her friends with unease. She wanted to back out, but her friends were cheering her on quietly she couldn't let her down.

"Blank flank." Sweetie Belle turned to see Diamond Tiara with her eye open and her mouth crooked which made a sly smile. Her one eye was sharp staring at her, "Blank flanks never win." Diamond Tiara giggled. Sweetie belle stood with unease, she swayed back and forth and walked forward, Diamond Tiara's rudeness is one of the many reasons she does not want to do this. She moved forward in line, she was next in line. Her hoof moved nervously around the paper, "Your next blank flank." Diamond Tiara whipped back her mane and gave one mean look at Sweetie Belle and stalked off.

Her hoof shaking, she grabbed a red pencil and wrote Sweetie Belle, she then dropped it into the ballot box and walked to her desk. She breathed in and out letting the air out, she felt relieved.

"Ok here are the people in running for school president." Cheerilee grabbed one name and unfolded it, "Snails."  Snail’s eye's glowed when she read his name. "Snips." Snips giggled alongside Snails. "Diamond Tiara." Diamond Tiara stood with her shoulder back and chest up, her mane flowing back like there was an imaginary fan was blowing on her. Silver Spoon started clapping real loud enthusiastically. Diamond Tiara sat back down and put her hooves on her desk. She put on a fake smile at the teacher and lifted her chest up. "Sweetie Belle." Sweetie Belle felt confident and nervous at the call of her name. She knew now she can't back out so she just smiled at her teacher. "We will be having a day when you guys advertise about being school president. You may sell cookies, cupcakes, or just ask people to vote for you."

She thought about the gorgeous sign that her and Applejack made and Pinkie Pie's Delicious cupcakes to sweeten the deal, literally.

The bell rang and everyone left. As Sweetie Belle walked out to go home she saw that they moved the swings and playground to put the signs there. The sky had a tad of greenish color to it. The birds weren't out assuming to the loud noises and banging of the construction going on in the playground. Every pony was either walking home or talking to their friends complaining about the noise. Sweetie Belle walked down the dirt path leading to home where who knows what Rarity is fussing or rushing to do.

It was especially quiet in PonyVille today; barely anyone was outside except merchants persuading people to buy their food. One of the merchants looked at her. The place looked like a desert and Sweetie Belle was expecting a cactus or a hay bale rolling off with the wind. All of the doors and windows were locked and closed. Sweetie Belle wondered if Pinkie Pie should come and make every pony smile and sing but she was nowhere in sight. She walked through town square marching right pass the merchants keeping her head down. She was startled by the sound of a colt interrupting her thoughts.

"Would you like some bananas?" One of them asked. His stand was creaking every time the wind blew. His pockets were empty and there wasn't a coin in sight. His begging eyes looked at her with grief. Sweetie Belle knew she shouldn't waste her money on something she doesn't need. Sweetie Belle gave in and picked out two coins form her backpack. She picked out the ripest banana she saw and tossed the coin on the stand. He thanked her and she left.

When Sweetie Belle walked into her house she saw something weird, all of the fabrics that were everywhere are now sorted neatly and nicely in cabinets and on them. The mannequins were up straight and the floor was polished, the cupcake frosting was cleaned and the bag of cupcakes was lying neatly by the fabric. The trash was empty and all of her white Victorian cabinets with gold handlebars were crust free. Rarity walked from her room, her hair neatly back and not a drip of sweat in sight. The look of tiredness didn't fill her eyes.

"Hey Sweetie Belle, how was school?" Sweetie Belle's jaw was gaped open, Rarity and her house looked cleaner than she ever seen. Sweetie Belle snapped back to reality.

"Good, just that i will start my booth tomorrow." Sweetie Belle looked around expecting to see a closet full of stuffed stuff nut she was wrong.

"Applejack told me about it."  She replied, "She said you and her built a sign together and she said that you were going to Pinkie Pie's for cupcakes." She finished.

"Yup." Sweetie Belle answered, the look on Rarity's pondered face knew she was thinking of something.

"Hey, you know you been asking me to playing tea party with you." Rarity told Sweetie Belle. Sweetie Belle wanted to play tea party with her for fun but she couldn't because Rarity was always busy. Knowing she said this know she jumped with glee and smiled real big.

She and Rarity spent the rest of the night having tea and talking about her boas. Sweetie Belle only once thought about the school election, she was confident in herself for once that she could win this with hard work. The thought clanged  to her when she went to sleep imagining that she was at the stadium all eye's on her cheering her on with the jealous faces of Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon showing sitting in there auguring about her losing. She snuggled in her warm blanket and went to sleep.
