//-------------------------------------------------------// Welcome to the Chibi Universe -by Oranexia- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 - Spell Malfunction //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 - Spell Malfunction Twilight lay on her bed, innocently studying a book about fantasy creatures. To her the book was filled with all sorts of magical adventures like the one she and her friends had been on. It made reading so much more fun when you could relate to the events taking place inside. Suddenly, something inside her head ticked and it brought her back to reality. She glanced outside the window and saw Luna's moon and hoof crafted stars shining brightly in the night sky. After glancing outside, the book from before closed itself with the help of a little magic. The magic aura levitated it off the cozy bed and made its way to the door. The book entered the room first and Twilight entered momentarily after. After reaching the bottom of the stairs, she placed the book where it was before. After putting it back, the heart of the library was greeted with an uncomfortable silence.  It was not hard to notice the baby dragon wasn't here. He wasn't making a sound in either of his beds either. "Spike?" Twilight called out. "Spike, where are you?" No response. Twilight began moving faster around the library, hoping to find any clues that may lead to his whereabouts. She looked under the bookshelves, under the wooden head in the center, and in any books to see if there was anything suspicious. Nothing was presenting itself. "Oh I wish-" Before she could finish the sentence, Hoof met face. "Oh, that's right. I have a life detection spell" With a small glow, a field of sorts covered the entire interior of the library. A small, thermal colored figure was sleeping underneath in the basement in a curled position. The size was big enough for it to be a baby dragon. Twilight quickly moved to the drawers inside her room, taking out a solid silver key with a book as a key chain attachment. She rushed back downstairs and quickly opened the door leading down to the basement. The door quickly opened but didn't slam it as she didn't want to wake up Spike. It was too dark to see anything downstairs. A sudden magenta flicker activated and supplied light into the room. Looking to her left, Twilight saw Spike asleep, holding a dusty blue book in his claws. "I'm so sorry, Spike. I should have checked before locking the door." She gently picked him up with magic and nuzzled him for a short moment before picking up the book that he was holding. It was covered in dust and unreadable so she blew some air onto the cover of the book, making the gathered dust go flying. Some dust had made its way into her eye and as a result, her eye began to water. The water slowly began to disappear and the world returned to its normal, clear state. Picking up the book again, she read the title cover on it. It read: Starswirl the Bearded: The Lost Spells. Twilight stared at the book in disbelief. Was this really the lost book of Starswirl the Bearded? It was too good to be true. It was legendary book! In her library! She slowly cracked open the book and took a quick peek at the contents inside. There were spells of every kind! Advanced teleportation, combat magic, elemental magic, alcehmical magic, and... trans dimensional magic? Now Twilight's curiosity was at peak height. She flipped the pages through and eventually got to a page describing the details of how to complete this highly advanced spell. Her attention was brought out of the book when a yawn destroyed the intense focus moment. "Oh my, sorry to wake you up." Spike glared at her "And for locking you down here." "Whatever, Twilight. I'm going back to bed." "Wait! I need to you to take a letter." "Eh? Now?" Spike whined. "Please, Spike. This is super important." Twilight pleaded. "Fine." Spike grumbled. "Just please make it quick." Twilight cleared her throat. "Dear Princess Celestia. I'm sending you this message in regards to a book I just found tonight. It's called Starswirl the Bearded: The Lost Spells. There's some really advanced stuff in here! I think you should come check it out when you get the chance. Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle Send it Spike." He slowly inhaled and exhaled green flames, turning the letter into green smoke. "Alright. You can go to bed now." "You owe me gems." He said, miserably. "I'll get you some tomorrow." The reply was the sound of a door being fiercely closed. With a sigh, Twilight went back down into the basement and picked the book up again with magic and turned back to the inter inter dimensional travel. "In order to preform this spell you have to..." She trailed off into a mumble as her reading progressed. Eventually the rest of the book just stopped. "What the? Is this an incomplete spell? She gazed at the empty part of the page where the rest of the instructions should be. While pondering the rest of the spell, something white flashed inside the main library room. "Twilight?" Twilight shut the book shut and rushed upstairs. "Yes! I'm here princess!" A lavender unicorn came rushing out of the basement with a book in her magical grip. "Is this book here the one you were talking about?" She asked, not wasting any time. "Uh, yeah! Right here. The book levitated itself over to Celestia and it was soon covered in a yellow glow. Celestia quickly read the pages, analyzing what ever the detailed spells had to offer. Once the pages ran out, the book closed. "I see no dangerous forms of magic in here. Any that were was non-lethal. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just don't try anything. You never know what could happen with these things." With that, Celestia was gone in a flash, letting the book drop to the floor. "I know she said not to but... I want to see other dimensions. Think of everything we could learn!" Twilight tiphoofed in place in excitement. "Besides, I'm not a filly anymore. I can take care of myself when the going gets though." She sighed. "I suppose I should worry about this tomorrow." She began trotting up towards the bedroom where Spike was. Instead of walking, she teleported, being careful not to wake Spike up. Once settled in, the world of dark slowly began to take its hold. Twilight woke up and Celestia's sun shone surprisingly bright yesterday. She was being woken up. Nopony liked that. "Yes, Spike?" She said in a half irritated tone. "Everypony is here to see you." "What? T-tell them i'll be down there in a second!" Twilight rushed and brushed her hair while Spike made his way downstairs where the rest her friends were sitting, quietly drinking their drinks while waiting for Twilight to come down. Eventually, Twilight came down. "I'm so sorry to make you girls wait. What do you all need?" "Spike told us about the book and how you were probably gonna go "dimension jumping" or something. It sounded so awesome!" Rainbow Dash grinned. "Ah can't help but agree with RD here, Twi. It sounds awesome and ya might get lonely." Applejack winked. "I heard the news and would like to tag along. If that's okay though." Fluttershy said, somehow not managing to hide behind her mane when she said that. "Darling, we're friends to the end. We're not going to leave you behind. Especially doing something potentially dangerous like dimension jumping." Rarity stated. "It sounds super duper awesome! We should throw them a huge party and the banner could say something like "We come in peace." or maybe something like this!" Pinkie pulled her party cannon from nowhere and blasted confetti and streamers into the air. "Well, since you refuse to take no for an answer, I'm going to take you regardless aren't I?" They all nodded yes. "Figures. Alright, stand up. Don't go blaming me if you lose a hoof or something." Twilight began charging her horn for the spell. Suddenly, the whole building begins to shake and making all the ponies lose their balance except for Twilight who was up in the air. Suddenly the door burst open and a pony looking for a library book saw inside and panicked. The other magic caused by this mare disrupted the spell, causing ripples in alternate dimensions. They all felt themselves get sucked into a ripple and in a flash, they all disappeared from this plane of existence.
