Chapter 9.

Ponyville stood high in the sky as the green shield stayed wrapped around it.

Down below royal guards stood around the shield as they waited for the order to attack if needed.

"Princess Twilight! Danny Fenton is here!" A guard said saluting.

"Thank you Night." She said as Danny came walking into the tent.

"Has Vlad made any demands yet?" He asked.

"Not yet, So far he's been kept up in Ponyville." Twilight said "Do you think you could get through that shield?"

"No, it’s a ghost shield and knowing Vlad, He's got it to where it will keep the living in and out."

"Then what do we do?" She asked concerned.

"I don't know."

"Come on out Danny!" Danny stepped out of the tent to see Vlad hovering in the air as he was grinning "I see you came, I thought you would be busy keeping an eye on Celestia?" Danny glared at Vlad as his hands began to glow "I wouldn't do that if I was you, for if I'm attacked, My dear wife destroy Ponyville." He said pointing up to see Chrysalis standing behind the shield with a remote in her magic "Now, With Ponyville under my control, I would like for you to get Princess Luna down here now. Oh, and before I forget." He lowered down to the ground as he stood face to face with Danny "How Is dear Celestia?"

"She's fine, going to make a full recovery." Danny said smirking.

Vlad smiled "Good, I would hate for her to have lost her foal." Vlad began to float back up towards Ponyville "If Princess Luna isn't here within an hour, Ponyville gets it."

He faded making Danny want to yell "Great, Now I have to deal with Chrysalis." Twilight sighed.

The ponies in Ponyville were trapped within their home's as Changeling's roamed the streets of Ponyville.

Vlad smiled as he watched his army roam through the town making sure everypony was trapped within in their homes.

"Ya let me go or else!" Vlad turned his head to see his soldier’s dragging none other than the element of honesty herself "Ya just wait till Ah get free!"

"Place her with the rest." Vlad said smiling making Applejack glare at him "And make sure she's treated like the rest."

There was a smirk of green light that blinded Vlad making him turn away from the light as stallion flew through the hole as he landed somewhere in Ponyville.

"Find who that was! And make sure they're locked away!" Chrysalis yelled as she checked on her husband "Are you alright?"

Vlad looked at his wife "Yes, I'm fine." He said getting up as he looked at Applejack who was grinning "Why are you grinning?"

"Because ya gonna get it now."

Vlad walked up towards her "Make sure she's locked up."

The changeling’s dragged her off as he went back to his work "I want the other elements of harmony locked up."

"So far we have Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Applejack; we’re missing Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash." Said a changeling "But we have everypony looking for them."

"When you find them, Report back to me." Vlad turned from the changelings and made his way towards the mayor's office.

"What the Queen see's in you is a mystery." The changeling thought as he went to search for the two ponies.

Green sparks slowly began to fade as a pair of brown eyes peered into the darkness as a pair of wings speared as green sparks flew out of them as the figure shook his body.

"Over there!" The figure heard the voices and heard them coming towards him.

"Freeze! In the name of Queen Chrysalis!" The changelings said surrounding him.

"H-How did a gri-" His words were cut off as a pair of talons wrapped around the changeling’s throat.

"Where are you keeping the elements of harmony?" He asked slamming the changelings into a tree.

"T-There I-in the tower!" He said.

"Thank you, you've been a great help." He slammed the changelings hard into the tree knocking him out as he took off towards the tower.

"Hold on Applejack, I'm on my way!"

The green sparks faded as Luna made her way towards the tent near the hole in the ground.

She made her way into the tent as she saw Twilight and Danny talking as the two were trying to figure out how to get Ponyville back on the ground.

"Luna, I'm so glad you could make it." They heard the Vlad's voice making the three look at the figure.

"Ready to put back Ponyville?" Danny said glaring at Vlad.

Vlad chuckled "I'll put it down, once Princess Celestia and Luna both surrender their power to me."

Luna glared at Vlad "We shall never surrender!" She said slamming her hoof down.

"Then Ponyville will suffer." Vlad said "And till you decide to surrender the throne to me, the elements of harmony shall remain locked away."

"How dare you! Release my friends or else!" Twilight’s horn began to glow.

"I hold the cards Twilight!" He said chuckling "I hold your friends and the ponies hostages, if you want them to remain unharmed, then surrender the throne to me."

There was a giant blast that came from within the shield as it flickered away.

"WHAT WAS THAT!?" Vlad yelled as he faded away.

Danny noticed a small little metal disc "Hologram, meaning he's got his tech."

They noticed the shield was gone as an army of Changelings stood near the edge ready for battle.

"I'll find Vlad and end this once and for all." Danny said flying towards Ponyville as the changelings fired their magic at him as Danny blocked each blast as he flew into Ponyville.

Vlad yelled as he saw his machine smashed into pieces.

"WHO DID THIS!?" He yelled.

"We did!" He turned around to see five colorful ponies and a griffon standing there.

"A griffon? I thought they hated ponies?" Vlad said his hands glowing purple.

"I'm different." He said as a blue mist wrapped around his body "I'm half pony, half griffon, and my grandmother just so happened to be a unicorn." The griffon's talons were glowing bright.

Vlad fired his ecto rays towards the griffon as it was sent back towards him sending him back into a wall "THAT'S IT!" Vlad's hands were glowing black "Your magic is no match for mine!" He rushed towards the griffon.

The two were locked hand to talon as their magic shook the ground as sparks of red and blue lit the sky a blaze "Surrender Vlad, my magic is stronger than yours!" The griffon's eyes began to glow pure blue.

"You've never seen any magic like mine!" Vlad's eyes started to glow pure red.

The griffon squeezed Vlad's hands and managed to toss him across the dirt as he looked at the five ponies behind him "Gather the other's ponies and get them somewhere safe!" He yelled as he rushed towards Vlad as Vlad quickly dodged the griffon's fist.

"You’re going to have to do better than that if you’re going to harm me stupid griffon!" Vlad blasted the griffon sending him flying into a building as he walked towards the building "A griffon who knows magic, Hard to believe this."

Fire flew out of the building as Vlad only had a split second to place a sheild around him as the fire engulfed him.

When the fire cleared Vlad's eyes went wide as he saw a red dragon stepping out of the building "Who's magic is stronger than who's?" The dragon asked as he brought down his claw towards Vlad.

He quickly dodged the claw as magic wrapped around the dragon and his form changed back into a griffon "Let's face it, I'm stronger then you." He said grinning.

"That may be true but let's see how to handle my greatest creation!" The griffon was slammed into a wall as the figure laughed.

He stood into his talons and looked at the figure that tossed him.

"Say hello to my creation! Kill the griffon while I fix the shield." Vlad said as he walked towards the busted machine when a blasted backwards slamming hard into the ground.

"I don't think so Vlad! I'll stop you from harming these ponies!" Danny yelled landing onto the ground his hands glowing green.

"Daniel, I thought you would be with the princess after what happened to her." Vlad said making Danny angry.

"You sent that thing after her nearly killing her!" Danny said his hands changing from green to red "I should kill you for that!"

Vlad noticed the change and noticed his creation and got an idea "Why don't you face the creature that attacked her in the first place." Danny noticed the creature standing there looking at him with a grin on his face "Or, You can just let the one that nearly killed the mare you care for to live."

"Don't listen to him." The griffon said looking at the Danny "He's trying to use you to get what he needs."

"Come on Danny, you know killing him would make everything better." Vlad said making the rage inside Danny grow.

The griffon let his magic engulf him changing his form as he now looked like the creature.

"WHAT ARE YOU!?" Vlad yelled firing his ecto rays at the wrong creature as he was flung into a wall.

He changed back into his griffon form and chuckled "Wouldn't you like to know." He said chuckling "But you can call me Matt, and you will not allow this boy to fall into the dark arts." The griffon said "Ghost kid, you fight Vlad and I'll handle this monster."

"Why should I trust you?" Danny asked as he watched the creature get back to his feet.

"Because I can help you master your magic, but I can't help you if you turn into a monster like Vlad here." He said jumping towards the creature leaving Danny to fight Vlad.

"Well, are you going to let this griffon fight this monster while you fight me? That's sad, even for you." Vlad said making Danny rush towards him.

Chrysalis watched as her army kept Luna's army at bay as she smiled.

"Surrender, Chrysalis! Or you'll feel thy wrath!" Chrysalis looked to see Luna standing behind her with her horn glowing.

"I will never surrender!" Chrysalis said her horn glowing as well. She then felt something was wrong as her horn flickered out.
"What's the matter Chrysalis can't fight me?" Luna asked.

"S-Something is wrong with my magic! Guards! Handle, Luna!" She yelled as she fled.

"Bring it." Luna said looking at the guards stepping into the room as she used her magic to blast them as she chased after Chrysalis.

Chrysalis ran through the town as she cut a corner to be stopped by Twilight and her friends stood with their elements of harmony "Stand down Chrysalis! You’re out numbered!" Twilight yelled.

Chrysalis went to take off the other way when Luna came running up "You have nowhere to go Chrysalis! You’re surrounded!"

"RAAAAAAAA!" They group looked up to see Vlad slam hard into the ground next to Chrysalis as Danny hovered just above him.
"You two surrender!" Danny said hovering in the air.

A body was tossed on top of Vlad as a griffon spoke "Your monster has been beaten, your army is fleeing and your trapped."

Chrysalis didn't know what to do, her husband laid on the ground out cold and his creation held his side as they were both beaten and wouldn't be able to defeat them. What could she do "I-I surrender." She said looking at her husband.

Danny, Luna, Twilight and her friends were all sitting inside the castle as the three.

"So you’re telling us that you’re a changeling but your grandfather was a changeling who fell in love with a pony and their son fell in love with a griffon and you were born and able to use magic and change into any type of creature?" Twilight asked still trying to take it all in.

"Yes, but my grandmother was a unicorn and that's who I got my magic from." He said as he tried to make this a little easier to understand.

"Why keep this a secret?" Rarity asked.

"If I would have told you about my secret, would you even allow me to live among you? No, you would think I would be a spy for Queen Chrysalis." He said "The only one I could trust was Applejack." He looked at Applejack who was blushing. He looked back at the group.

"How do we know your still not a spy!?" Rainbow Dash said glaring at the griffon.

"If I was a spy then how come help this kid here fight her husband and his monster?" He asked looking at Rainbow Dash "Also, if I was spying for Chrysalis wouldn't I have been snooping around the castle or trying to steal the elements of harmony?"

"I still don't trust you." Dash said crossing her hoofs.

"That's fine with me." He said not really caring "Now, I don't know if this name means anything to you but I was told by a Night Fire to help Danny here to master his magic."

"Night Fire asked you to teach me? Why?" Danny asked.

"I have no clue, all I know am needed to teach you what you need to know in order to not fall into the dark arts." He said "You about lost it today when Vlad told you to attack and use your anger. That's what the dark magic needs to take over your mind."

"He would have to learn dark magic in order to become evil." Twilight said.

"Danny, Vlad and I hold a special kind of magic, it's channeled through our mind and body and it tempted by dark magic, Anger hate and fear is what darkness feeds off of in order to us those. I know unicorns magic is different and you chose weather or not to learn dark magic, but there are those like Vlad who can be tempted by dark magic. Danny was slowly losing it to dark magic."

"I've heard about ponies like this." Luna said "Star Swirl the Bearded was one of these ponies."

"Wait.... WHAT!?' Twilight nearly yelled.

"You see, Star Swirl the Bearded wrote down about his connection with magic like Matt here has told us." Luna said "And I believe Sombra was one of these ponies." She looked over at Danny "Danny, If Night Fire has chosen Matt here to teach you magic, Maybe it would be wise to allow him too."

"You’re going to have to tell me more about this." Twilight said "If that's alright with you."

"That's fine, the more the merrier." He said.

"PRINCESS!" A guard yelled rushing into the room "Queen Chrysalis and Vlad are missing along with the monster!"

"Search the ground! They can't have gotten far!" Luna yelled "Danny, Can you help in the search?"

"Of course!" Danny said changing into his ghost half and flying through the roof.

Vlad held his side as he rested on his wife side as the two walked through the lab.

"Honey, I think it would be wise for us to lay low and try and figure out what to do." He said.

"What about him?" Chrysalis asked looking at the creature.

"He'll have to go into the pod till I can come up with a plan." He said as the two made their way into the bedroom.

"Let's get you into bed so you may heal." She said placing him down onto her bed.

"If that stupid griffon didn't show up when he did we would have taken over Equestria!"

"We'll rule one day my love," She said rubbing her hoof over his cheek "But maybe one day o-our child will help us."

Vlad blinked "What?"

"I-I'm pregnant... With your,child." His eyes went wide.

"I-I'm going to be a father?" She nodded. He placed a hand onto her cheek as she smiled "Our child will be the most powerful pony this world has ever seen," He kissed her lips pulling her close to him "I love you my Queen."

"I love you too my king." She said kissing him as she felt his hands run up her side making her giggle "Now, now, my love, you need your rest." She said as Vlad pulled her close.

Celestia laid in her bed with a book in front of her as she flipped through the pages.

"Hello my daughter." Celestia's went wide as she couldn't believe who was standing in the room with her.

"M-Mother? B-But how?" Celestia asked looking at her mother standing in the room with a smile.

"A young girl found me and told me about an alicorn living in this world." She said walking towards her daughter "This girl has also told me your pregnant with a human's child." She said chuckling "Now before you freak out, your father and I aren't mad at you, In fact were happy to see this human is willing to stay with you and try work things out."

"W-Why didn't dad come?" She asked as she felt her mother sit down on the edge of the bed.

"He would have visited but the Box Ghost stole his box and he got angry about it." She said rolling her eyes "Anyways, with the Fenton's portal being open for us we can finally see you again."

"I am glad to finally see you again, A-After your deaths.... W-We weren't the same." Celestia said feeling tears welling up in her eyes.

"I know, it was so hard knowing would never see you again but now that we know about the Fenton portal we'll be able to see you and Lulu." She said with a smile "And I'm looking forwards in meeting this Danny Fenton."

"You'll like him, he's very kind." Celestia said with a smile.

"I've been told." She said chuckling "So, tell me what I have missed since I've been gone."
