“Rodger that raven one, Fall back asap. Mission is a failiu-” The channel went dead before their commander could finish his statement. And the flight of four, red and black F-23 black widow fighters banked for friendly airspace. “Raven two, to raven one, i've got multiple contacts coming in fast.”
“Dammit... Engage with Aim-120D.” After the lead pilot had spoken, he got a lock on an aircraft and the missile streaked from it's internal weapons bay.
“Rodger that Kosoru, Engaging targets at long range.”
“Raven three, splash one.” The third fighter in their formation said estatically.
“Raven Four confirms kill.” A fourth voice said over the radio. “Keep up the kill streak three, and the cap will be buying a round for all of us.”
“Lightning Burst, I never agreed to that.” They reformed into a delta shape and headed for their airbase. Radio silence was kept up for about twenty minutes before warnings and lights started going off in the cockpits of the fighters.
“Dammit. Three, get a lock on their radar towers and nail them with a HARM missile, Two and four, take care of the boogies, i'll cover three.”
“Two acknowledges, What about you four?”
“Acknowledged, Engaging enemy aircraft.” Soon after saying that, a missile rips out from under raven three's fighter and obliterates a radar tower, blinding several SAM sites in the area.
“Should be clear from here to Canterlot cap.”
“Rodger, all aircraft, return to formation and follow me.” The fighters resume their delta formation and fly through the gap in the hostile SAM field's radar.
