The Fellowship is disbanded. The Elements of Harmony are broken. The Dark Lord Sauron is covering Equestria in shadow, and with the regal might of Nightmare Moon at his side, there is no unified force left in Equestria to oppose them.
But hope remains. Spike and Apple Bloom continue towards the Smokey Mountain to destroy the One Ring. The remnants of the Fellowship search for the kidnapped Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. And some cities continue to resist Sauron's growing influence.
But are the actions of a valiant few enough to turn the tide?
The War of the Ring is about to begin.
