//-------------------------------------------------------// My Life With A Fluffy Pony -by TheFluffyLoverAuthorPony- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// A Trip To The Pet Shop //-------------------------------------------------------// A Trip To The Pet Shop Alright. Let me get this straight. Fluffy Ponies are an attempt at creating in-real-life ponies for all the bronies and pegasisters out there. But, they are only one foot tall at maturity, kind of stupid, and are extremely fluffy. Hence the name. I live in an inherited home from my parents, but i'm all alone. So, a few days ago I decided to scoot off my lazy bum and go to the local pet store. I was planning on getting a kitten or a puppy, even a goldfish, anything to lighten up the dank mood. Upon arriving, I saw a large sign on the window, and groaned. NEW! Buy a Fluffy Pony today! "Now THESE guys sell them too? Ugh." I mumbled to myself as I looked away from the sign, and stepped into the store, a bell ringing lightly as the door opened. When stepping in, my nose was filled with the sour aroma of animal hair, cat litter, and feces. The pet shop had always been under-budgeted, and they couldn't really afford to keep the place spruced up. Several children, oblivious to the sour smell, huddled around a cage about five-by-five feet that sat in the center of the room. What are they looking at? I thought to myself as I approached. Probably some puppies or something. But I was proven wrong when I reached the cage. Several young Fluffy Ponies lay in the cage, rolling about, fighting over a small red ball in it. My heart skipped a beat as I realized that these were the cutest things I had ever seen. My eyes rested upon a Fluffy smaller than the rest, huddled in the corner of the cage. She had a red, silky mane, and the smoothest sky blue fluff. Her green eyes looked sad, wanting to play with the other Fluffies. I gently pushed aside a few of the children, and reached down for that specific Fluffy. She looked up, and said in an adorable high pitched voice, "Dada? Dada giv hugsies?" My hands wrapped around her middle, and she gave a little yelp. Her fur felt like the finest silk. Holding her close, stroking her smooth red mane, I replied, "Yes. Dada give hugsies." Some of the children D'awed, and I made my way towards the front counter. The store clerk, a relatively round man with a name tag stating his name was X'avier, smiled when he saw me cuddling the little Fluffy. "I'm guessing, you wish to buy?" He asked, though already knowing the answer. I placed the small Fluffy Pony on the counter, and she started to bawl "Hugsies! Moar hugsies dada!" Holding her stubby hooves out for me, pouting her lip, I almost grabbed her on the spot and ran. The clerk roughly grabbed her around the middle, and I grimaced as she cried "Owie! No give owies! I be a gud fwuffy!" The clerk held her up, inspecting her, and occasionally looking at the other Fluffy's in the nearby cage. "Are you sure you want this one? She is the runt, after all." He inquired, but I nodded. This was the one I wanted. He sighed, and tapped a few keys on the cash register. "That will be a total of, uh, twenty five dollars and seventy five cents. I shoved my hand into my pocket and placed the crumpled bills in front of him, not even caring about the extra twenty five cents there was left over, and he greedily took them, dropping the small fluffy on the counter. I was about to leave, stroking my new prize, when I remembered, I don't know anything worth dirt about Fluffies. "Is there anything I need to know about how to take care of Fluffies?" I asked the clerk, who was busy smoothing out the money and counting it. "Nah," He replied, "Just google it or something." I was going to object, but thought otherwise and left the store, petting my new Fluffy as she purred "I wuv yoo dada." Ruby Blue will be her name, I thought. Ruby Blue. Author's Note This story was inspired by my extreme want for a Fluffy Pony. I want one. NAO. //-------------------------------------------------------// Introducing A Fluffy To Her New Home //-------------------------------------------------------// Introducing A Fluffy To Her New Home Not thinking to have brought my car with my, I had to walk home. Not like I minded, as instead of holding the wheel I could hold Ruby Blue instead. As I stroked her, she nuzzled her head into my T-Shirt, and eventually fell asleep. It truly was a beautiful day, both in the turn of events and the time of year itself. I wish I could have stayed outside and enjoy the day, but I had to get Ruby Blue to her new home. About twenty minutes of walking later, I arrive at my place. I was the middle one of three boys in my family, and I was the... Least favorite. So, when my parents died a few years back, they left me with the piece of crud I live in. The place is only one level, no basement or anything, a bathroom, a bedroom, kitchen, living room, and a guest room. Not like I had any guests. It may sound like a pretty good set-up, but it wasn't. The rooms were okay sized, but the puke brown carpet, (I dont even think it was brown before I got it) the white walls revealing every little stain, and the smell itself didn't leave the impression that I could take care of a Fluffy. Also, me not having a job, my little money I got from my parents was quickly burning out. I took a sigh, then walked into the house. I cradled the sleeping Ruby Blue in my arm as I used the other to open the door, then stepped into my cruddy home. The smell hit me like a wall, having had been in the clean air so long, and Ruby Blue awoke too. "Waah! Dis smel nawt pwettee!" She began to bawl, and I had to think fast. I set the tiny animal onto the crusty carpet, and ran into my bathroom, yanked open the medicine cabinet, and looked for the emergency freshener spray. I knew I was making a big deal about it, but I seriously didn't want Ruby to dislike me. I found the apple scented spray, bolted back to Ruby, and began to spray the living room. After a few moments, Ruby stopped wailing, and smiled at the scent of apple. I smiled too, and bent down to pick her back up. Ruby Blue giggled a bit, and held her stubby hooves out expectantly, chirping "Hugsies daddeh! Hugsies!" I was about to wrap my hand around her small middle as a makeshift hug, but decided that he should train her a bit in manners. "Say please Ruby Blue, or no hugs." I told her firmly, but not meanly. "No hugsies?" She said, her small voice wavering. "I will give you hugsies, just say please." I replied, a bit firmer. "Pweeze?" She tried, and I wrapped my hand around her, as she held it with those small hooves, a smile unwillingly spread across my face, but then I put her down when she started saying "Daddeh! Mah tummeh haz owies! No wan owies!" Not knowing what to feed her, I jumped onto my crummy computer, pulled up Google, and and typed in "Fuzzy Ponies". A link came up, saying Fuzzy Ponies-Care, Feeding, And Cleaning. I clicked the link, and The website came up. Mini links labeled as "Care, Feeding, Cleaning, and Other" showed at the top, and I clicked the Feeding one. I tried to ignore Ruby Blue's hollering for food as I read, then encountered the few sentences I needed. Fluffies can eat most human foods, but they CANNOT eat meat. Fluffies are herbivorous, but other than that, there is nothing a Fluffie can't eat. A Fluffies favorite meal is spaghetti, or, "Skitties" is what a Fluffy calls it. DO NOT PUT MEATBALLS IN THE SPAGHETTI! //-------------------------------------------------------// What Now? //-------------------------------------------------------// What Now? I hopped off the computer then, not bothering to turn it off, and headed for the kitchen, Ruby Blue in close pursuit. I opened one of the cupboards, it creaked loudly, and revealed a couple boxes of cereal, several cans of canned vegetables, and about a dozen water bottles. (I didn't have running water) Alongside the meager supply of food and drink were a small stack of bowls, a pack of paper plates, and some plastic silverware. I quickly grabbed two bowls, a box of Cheerios, and a bottle of water. Ruby happily hollered "Yay! Daddeh give wooby bwoo nummies!" as I placed the bowls on the floor in front of her, filled one with water, the other with Cheerios, smiling that she already (somewhat) knew her name. The little Fluffy opened her smiling mouth, took a breath, as if she were scuba-diving, and dunked her head into the Cheerios. "OMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM!' She exaggerated as she vacuumed up the cereal, and was soon licking out the little individual circles at the bottom. I just sat there, watching her with a grin plastered onto my face. She scooted over a bit, over the water bowl now, and repeated the process. But now she pulled her face out right away, sputtering water, her face wet and her mane wet down with water. She cried a little, and I grabbed a towel and helped dry her off. After the whole episode, She carefully sipped the water instead. With a random idea, I left her to her water and grabbed the measuring tape. I wanted to see just how big she was, and I wanted to kind of study the species a bit, like if I were to adopt more someday. Bending down next to her, I stretched out the measuring tape, and gasped quietly at just how little she was. Just six and a half inches tall, six inches long. She finished her water, and scampered off playfully, heading to my bedroom. I followed her, and found her on my bed, trying to get under the blanket before I found her, giggling. A moment later her tail disappeared under the sheet, and I decided to play along. The lump in the bed was all too noticeable, but I walked around the room, murmering "Hmm... I wonder where Ruby could be..." Upon reaching the foot of the bed, I yanked the blanket off the bed and screamed "THERE SHE IS!" At first she wet herself, but then she started to giggle uncontrollably, rolling around. I sighed, but couldn't help smiling. Grabbing the giggling animal around her waist and placing her on the brown carpet, I grabbed one of my dirty T-Shirts and wet it with one of the water bottles, and wiped the stain. The fluffy, bored with sitting on the floor, raced out of my bedroom. I followed the giggling Ruby all around the house, until she stopped in the bathroom, panting. I leaned in to pick her up, but I smelled urine. She had peed all over herself as well as the bed. I picked her up, holding her at arms length, while she babbled "Hugsies! Hugsies daddeh!" I set her on the toilet seat, shut the bathroom door, and got the bucket of clean water that was surrounded by other buckets that I kept for baths. I didn't take them very often anyways. While Ruby Blue sat on the toilet lid, watching me with those curious eyes, as I dumped the bucket into the bathtub. She flinched at the splash, but relaxed as it reduced to calming waves. "You have to take a bath now Ruby Blue. Don't freak out." I said as I wrapped my hands around her, and began to lower her into the tub. Ruby began to struggle, screaming "NU! NUUU! FWUFFY NU WAN! NUUU WAAAAN!!!" When her hooves touched the water, she flailed harder, splashing herself and me. "NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!! NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!" She continued to wail, until she was standing in the tub. She scrambles desperately, frightened at the two-inch deep water. I feel a pang of pity, but I know she has to be cleaned. I pick up the shampoo, squeezing it into the water. Ruby's frantic pacing mixes up the shampoo enough to make a life-saver. Bubbles. She pauses, and stares at one of the especially large ones, and leans in her head. Ruby stumbles back a bit when it pops, then giggles madly, prancing around, popping bubbles. I can't help but smile. //-------------------------------------------------------// Playing Habits //-------------------------------------------------------// Playing Habits After a while the bubbles deflated, only leaving the wet down Fluffy and the water. I gasped at how much smaller Ruby Blue was with her fur wet down. After a while Ruby began to shiver, saying in her baby voice, "Cawd! Iz cawd daddeh! Make Wooby Bwoo nawt cawd!" So I grabbed her sopping body and grabbed a towel off the nearby rack, and grabbed the hair dryer that I got for a christmas present as a prank. Ruby Blue began to roll on the towel, giggling, and I plugged in the dryer and began to blow her down with it on the lowest setting. She giggled as her fur fluffed up, and as I set down the dryer I could barely see her face due to all the dried out fluff. My watch beeped annoyingly, and it turned out to be 10:00 p.m. Ruby Blue was simply overjoyed from her fur being so poofy, and she ran in circles around my feet as I tried to grab her. It really was adorable watching the little guy squirming happily when I grabbed her, and she constantly called out things such as "Fwuffy iz fwuffy now!" or "I wike bafs!" as I carried her to my bedroom. The sheets still smelled of urine from the whole episode before, so I had to take those sheets off and lay on the bare bed, blanket overtop of me. Ruby curled up at the bed, and began to snore cutely, her chest rising and falling. (I couldn't really see her chest, but I could see her fluff) Eventually, I drifted off into sleep myself, simply happy as can be. 4 years later... It was four years later, and Ruby Blue was about a foot tall, her max height of her species. She giggled as the party hat fell over her eyes, and I constantly had to adjust it as I led her to the living room, where her cake and presents sat waiting. Thats right, It was her birthday. The past four years with Ruby Blue had seemed so short to me, but nevertheless I was glad for her to be growing up. The cake, when Ruby saw it, seemed extravagant compared to what you'd think my funds were. Two tiers, vanilla frosting, and strawberry flavored with four striped red and blue candles perched on the very top. Ruby was at the table in a flash, staring at the cake with what could only be described as pure joy from the sight. Next to the cake as well were three boxes covered with glittery wrapping paper, topped with bows. Ruby Blue reached for the biggest box, and a lightly smacked her hoof away as I gestured to the paper plates and knife, when I sliced a generous amount of cake and placed it on a plate, and slid it across the table to the awaiting Fluffy. She dug right into that cake, frosting coating her face, and she only stopped for a breath of air as she finished it. By the time Ruby Blue licked the last crumb on the plate, she had snatched a present and began to unwrap it, pushing her party hat out of her eyes. The torn wrapping paper drifted away to reveal a plastic can filled with small brown Fluffy treats, and she hugged it to her chest gleefully as she grabbed the next present. Wrapping paper flew like a small speck of a snow storm in her area, and she laughed as she saw the presents contents. A harness, the type for lead dogs, and a leash. She already had a collar and leash, but they were cruddy and used, but these were brand spanking new! I had to say I was pretty proud of myself when I saw her face. The final present, a thin one that resembled a card, was quickly revealed. Two strips of paper. Each had their names on it, the one with Ruby Blue's said "ANIMAL" in bold letters, and stamped on the top was "Plane Ticket". Where the location was where the plane was going, said Florida. Ruby Blue looked up confusedly, and I screamed at the top of my lungs, the very place Ruby Blue had been wanting to go to so very badly ever since I had told her about it, "WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!!!
