Chapter Two: Arrival

"Whelp, i guess this is where i get off" Nick said to himself as he got off the train. He walked over to the conductor waiting outside of the train.  "Why hello there sir, may i see your ticket?", the conductor asked him. Nick pulled out his ticket and handed it to the conductor. He said nick was all clear and sent him on his way.  'I've got to find something to eat, i am as hungry as a parasprite!" Nick thought to himself as he picked up his pace to the town.

As Nick approached the sign that read: PONYVILLE, he noticed where the nail was and looked below it. That same damn hammer followed him again!  "Ok hammer, I'm sick of your bullshit! You're coming with me", Nick yelled at the hammer and put it in his bag along his other items. But as he reached for the hammer, he looked at his hoof, it had some writing on it. He quickly pulled his sleeve down and upon his hoof was the number 12. "What the hell? Did hammer do this to me?" Nick said quietly and tried to rub it off. Nothing, grunted at his failure and pulled his sleeve back over it.

When Nick was just about to reach the entrance of the town he heard growling behind him. He slowly turned around to find himself face to face with a wolf.  But what was strange about this wolf, was that it was made out of wood or timber, whatever you call it.  Nick could tell it was hungry, but so was he, he head butted it. It hurt like hell, but he wasn't going to die because some wolf didn't get his dinner.  The wolf staggered backwards and he ran up to it and kicked its legs out from under the wolf, and it fell on it's back. He brought out the hammer from earlier, and raised it up to smash the animal's skull in.  But what got his attention was that the wolf's legs began to form back together.

He got distracted from the enemy for a few seconds and the wolf spun its head around and latched onto his left arm. "AAAAGGGGGGHH" Nick yelped in pain as he brought his hammer down on the wolfs skull. Not only did its head splinter into pieces, its entire body blew apart. "HAMMERTIME!" He said as he stared at the now pile of twigs. He heard more growls behind him. Nick began to run towards the town, forgetting that his hoof was in complete pain, but also remembering that wolves always travel in packs when hunting.

He stopped running when he got to a nearby tree along the road, sat down with his back against it, and began plucking teeth from his left arm. "Stupid dog", Nick muttered to himself as he pulled more teeth from the underside.  He could feel the dog's bite coursing through his veins.  Nick pulled out a syringe and injected it into his arm. What was in the needle didn't matter to him, he just cared that it numbed his arm enough to that he could walk. He sat up and thought about where to get to the Hospital to have a chat with Simon. "That...was...AWESOME!" said a voice to his left. Nick jumped and turned his head. There stood....no wait hovered, a blue Pegasus with a blue coat, rainbow mane and tail, with magenta eyes. "Hey...are you alright?" she said and snapped Nick out of his gaze.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine, just a Wood-wolf bite nothing too painful", Nick said with a reassuring tone.

"Wood-wolf? you mean Timberwolf? And a bite from one of those is poisonous you know." the mare said as she studied his left arm where blood stained his sleeve.

"I'm sure I'll be fine but thanks for the concern", Nick stated flatly as he noticed her gaze.

"Uh, right, sorry." she said as she reddened, "But you should get that bite checked out by my friend Twilight, she's an egghead, but she knows her stuff."

"I'm fine, but if you think she will heal it, lead the way." Nick stated as he walked towards town. "I don't think I got your name by the way."

"It's Rainbow Dash!, best flier in all of Equrestria and future Wonderbolt!", she said as she made a pose in the sky.

'Well she sure seems proud of herself...can't say the same for me', Nick thought to himself.

"What's yours?" Rainbow dash asked him.

"Nick, Nick Flash" he stated.

"That's cool. Hey our last names rhyme!" Rainbow Dash stated.

"Yes, I've noticed" Nick replied blandly.

"Well we're here",she said

Nick looked in front of him, and there was a big tree that looked like it was inhabited. Rainbow flew up to the door and knocked then entered, and he followed suit. Man there were books EVERYWHERE! 'Must be a library, with all of the books' Nick thought to himself.

"It's a Library, you don't have to knock!" yelled a voice from upstairs. 'Books in a tree, how ironic' Nick thought.

"Twilight! Come down here! We have someone here that needs help!" Rainbow shouted back at Twilight.

"I'll be there in a second!" Twilight shouted back. Literally in one second a puff of purple smoke appeared in front of him. And there stood a purple unicorn with dark purple hair with a pink stripe in it.

"Oh I didn't expect you to bring company Rainbow Dash, or to come through the door." said Twilight in a sarcastic tone.

"OWWWW!" Nick yelled as the pain surged through his arm again. Then he fell on the floor

"What's wrong with him?!" said Twilight rushing to his side.

"He got bitten by a Timberwolf! That's why we came here!" Rainbow said with a panicked tone.

"Find me a......-bout bites.....-he's fading...." That was all Nick could understand as he passed out on the floor.
