The race was just like in the dream, first Rainbow had pleaded to wait and have the competition the next day for she noticed that Star was, in fact, wearing her sheath. Star called her a wimp and so she tried to tell her that she had fallen and hurt her wing. Star just told her to brush it off and if she really had hurt it, then she should've gone to the doctor's office.
This time Rainbow Dash and Sacred Star tied. That made Rainbow much more secure feeling. "Maybe she won't kill me since we tied," she thought. "Though, what if she was going to kill me anyway?!" Her brain was a jumble of thoughts and she didn't even notice Star's horn start to glow and her dark black knife making its way out of its sheath.
"We tied," she said an evil grin spreading across her face. "I see now how fasst you really are and that I am just as fast as you. Though, there is not room in this huge world for the two of us." She started to stroke her black knife lovingly. "I guess I'll just have to kill you."
It was a bright sunny day in Ponyville and rainbow Dash had just finished clearing the sky. She really wanted to have a race with Applejack but she was with Twilight and Rarity in the Crystal Kingdom. Suddenly, she heard a loud swooping sound behind her. She turned around to see a lavender alicorn. Her cutie mark was a constalation of a lightning bolt.
"I'm Sacred Star," she smirked. "You must be Rainbow Dash, the fastest pegasus in all of Equestria."
"Ummm...duh!," Rainbow replied.
"Well, I'm the siter of Princess Cadence, and I say that I am much faster than you!"
"Sooo, you wanna race?" Rainbow asked her sure she would win. "There's a racing track over by the pond?"
"You're on!" Sacred Star smiled. "Also, you can just call me Star."
"Sure thing!" Rainbow smiled back, happy to finnaly have someone to race. "How about we meet up here at 12:00?" . "That sounds great. Though just so you I don't think this is the kind of contest you want to lose."
That night Rainbow had a dream that was all to real. In the dream she was racing against Star and they were both about to cross the finish line. With a bolt of speed, Sacred Star caught ahead and speed to the finish line. She was the winner. Rainbow crossed within the second but she looked very depressed. "You're going to publish this for all of Equestria to see, aren't you?" She whispered looking down.
"No, I was thinking of something a little more dramatic," she smirked pulling a sharp looking knife out of the sheath she was wearing across her torso. She raised the dagger and sunk it into Rainbow's throat. "Ther is only room for one great flyer in all of Equestria!"
"Why Star?!" Rainbow cried blood rush out of her wound. "I thought we were friends!"
"I will return home," she laughed, "and I will show my sister that I am more superior than her. Watch aout big sis, I'M COMING!"
