Scootaloo was headed home after a long day of crusading. She was at her door and about to turn the knob when she got a chill run through her mane. She turned and saw nothing but heard a light crying. She waved it off and went inside. The next morning she met with the crusaders and didn’t bother to mention the chill and sound she heard last night thinking it might have just been… then she realized she couldn’t think of what it might be since she lived by the pond and had no nearby neighbors and a brief search yield nothing but it still wasn’t enough for her to make a big deal about. After a while she forgot and went home and this time she heard another slight sobbing and looked around she hoped the pony would feel better soon whoever they were. That night Scootaloo had what she was fairly sure was just a normal nightmare. The dreamed of a white room with a large steel door everything went blurry when the door slowly opened with a dark figure slowly coming in and whispering she wasn’t even sure if it was the figure it sounded like chanting it said” sewers sewers sewers” then she woke up sweating thinking what was that why I am sweating it’s just any normal weird dream. She stood up in her bead for a while just thinking of what happened eventually she went back to sleep. In the morning she felt bad about abandoning her friends because she promised to meet at the clubhouse but Scootaloo’s nightmare compelled her to go to the side of the road and just give a peep down the drainage slit. She at first saw nothing but then a pair of glowing purple eyes suddenly appeared they were tiny it blinked occasionally but Scootaloo stared at it without blinking for almost an hour even though a couple minutes after its appearance it went away. Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle were walking by and saw Scootaloo staring into the drainage system jaw dropped. They hurried over and both said “HEY SCOOTALOO” cheerfully. Scootaloo did not reply. “You okay?” asked Apple Bloom. Scootaloo blinked again and started tearing because her eyes had been open an over an hour. “What happened?” asked sweetie Belle. Ummmmm nothing” replied Scootaloo in a quiet voice. “Oh come on you can’t stare into the sewers jaw dropped for no reason” replied Apple Bloom. “ITS NOTHING OKAY?” Scootaloo yelled at the other crusaders they even looked frightened for a second. “Sorry I’ve just been having some nightmares recently” apologized Scootaloo “oh well we all have nightmares occasionally” said Apple Bloom “Ya why don’t you talk about it Scootaloo it might make you feel better” added Sweetie Belle. “Hm… okay” so Scootaloo told about her dream in the white room and the chanting voice. “Well how about we try to get our uhh… sewer maintenance cutie marks” said Apple Bloom hoping to put her friends nightmares to rest” “well I don’t know” trailed Scootaloo. “Oh come on it will help your nightmare” said Sweetie Belle. “Oh okay thanks for your help guys I really appreciate it” “no problem what are friends for” replied apple Bloom. So the three went to the Ponyville sewer control and volunteered as pipe maintenance officers. The man behind the desk was drinking something that made him slightly clueless the Phillies didn’t know what it was and did not want to know. The man threw them each a belt vest and hardhat with a light. The ponies went down a dark and slippery staircase the stench was horrible when they entered the main tunnels so they all put on the masks attached to the belt it blocked a lot of their view but was worth it. “So why we are down here again asked?” asked sweetie Belle. “So we can put an end to Scootaloo’s nightmares. Right scoot?” she turned and saw Scootaloo in what was like an odd trance she walked straight ahead made every turn with no problem. She was unresponsive and had some odd destination because she made every turn without hesitation. The other crusaders followed out of curiosity when Scootaloo finally turned and walked face flat into a wall which caused her mask to fall of and one sniff of that air made Scootaloo snap right out of that trance. After struggling to get the mask back on the crusaders told Scootaloo about how she was like a mindless zombie waking around and walked into a wall. Scootaloo said “hm so I walked face first into a wall huh?” “yup” said apple Bloom somewhat imitating Big Mac. Scootaloo walked up to the wall and pushed her hoof on a bright white brick opposed to the other brown ones the wall slid open and on the other side of the wall there was a clean white room in the middle was another younger version of Scootaloo who looked half asleep. Sweetie said why is there another one of you in the sewers!” the word sewers echoed the half asleep Scootaloo then fell to her side and started a light sob while asleep. "what do we do" asked sweetie Belle who was the only one not staring at the other Scootaloo jaw dropped. The other two remained to stare at the small asleep Scootaloo. Scootaloo then slowly walked up to her younger self and sat next to her with a small smile on her face. "lets go home girls." said Scootaloo "but what about... you know granny smith said she was making an apple pie this morning yall want to come over? " "sounds great said sweetie bell" all of them were talking in a calm soothing voice as they slowly walked away. on their way out Scootaloo looked back smiled and said "ill be back" then tapped the white brick with her back hoof and walked off.
"Howdy do kiddos" asked granny smith "hi granny smith" replied all 3 in an attempt to sound cheerful. "something the matter?" asked granny "we uhhhh just had to bye to an old friend so were just a bit sad" said Sweetie Belle. Scootaloo blushed. "well I bet yall are hungry" said granny smith passing out a plate of apple pie to each crusader." thanks granny smith!" all three said with a big smile. that night Scootaloo had a dream but it was normal dream of her and Rainbowdash as Wonderbolts zooming across the sky.
