Prologue: Cosmic starburst
I slowly looked up the mountain top, the sharp rocks protruding from every ledge, snow just threatened to tumble down and drown a pony in its icy cold grip. It’s perfect. I set my body down low to the ground spread my wings in slow anticipation. My tail flicked side to side with the beat of my heart, I breathed heavily once through my nose letting out a puff of white. My eyes narrowed into a furled and suddenly a snowflake floated onto my nose. I launched off the snow ground my rainbow tail gleaming through the snow. I flapped my wings once and pushed farther off the ground and towards the top of the mountain. With every wing beat my speed gained and my breath became more rapid and jagged. My eyes narrowed against the wind and my mane tugged at my neck. I felt myself slowly fall into the speed demon inside. The explosion inside of me showed me I had gone into a rainboom but that was not what I was looking for.
Slowly the speed got faster and faster until my wings hurt from the pressure, I was so close to the top now, I speed towards it with agility and overconfidence. I reached the tip of the mountain and angled my body so I could launch upwards. My hooves hit solid rock and I was pushed up even faster and farther. With expertise I locked my wings and rolled in the air, my eyes closing to feel the wind rushing against my face. My eyes flew open and I propelled myself towards the peak of the mountain. I felt better than I had ever, this was my time. My breathing rapid as the snow pounded against my face trying to tug me back from the white covered peak. Everything slowed down as I brushed past adrenaline and pushed through to something new. My wings went even faster as I went towards the top. My face just a few feet away from the top when I felt that last boundary break, shatter into tiny pieces.
“COSMIC STARBURST!” I screamed the name into the unforgiving snowy wind, The sky suddenly darkening and turning to a pitch black. Little lights started appearing all over the darkness growing and shrinking in seconds. Like the night sky progressing over a millennium within a couple seconds in front of my eyes. Suddenly pain blinded my body, I let go of my posture and shagged just a little bit. Light of every colour exploded and I was spit out into a pile of trees only for me to collapse into pain after what had happened.
A young man slowly walked down the path occasionally stopping to listen to the sounds of the forest. On his shoulder sat a small plump yellow creature, At his belt sat 5 red and white balls. His face completely concentrated on what he was looking for. He stopped and whipped out a piece of paper to examine the continents of it. A description of a large blue bird was shown in clear detail going all the way into the way it leaves it’s mark in the dirt. He slowly folded the paper and crouched down to look at a bird shaped footprint. His red eyes gazed intently for a while, fully examining the print and taking into account every bit of information it had to offer to his piercing gaze. The small rodent on his shoulder flicked it’s ears and started to climb down onto the ground. He reached the ground careful to not disturb the foot print his master was so carefully examining, the rodents gaze slowly made its way to the sky and made just the suddleist of movements but in an instant his master was letting his gaze pierce through the heavy tree leaves and into the sky. The sky darkened and shadows started to form all around. The forest animals all at once stopped their gazes also to the darkening sky. Suddenly a noise blasted through the ears of every creature and they all took off running, the forest was alive with creatures of all size scrambling to get away from the noise. Slowly the young man reached for the red and white balls at his side and grabbed one with precision. He threw it up into the air and an explosion of light erupted from the ball producing a large orange reptilian creature with wings. The yellow critter scrambled up his masters arm and sat with a firm grip on his shoulder. The man had a look of pure devilish excitement, his red eye’s looking to the sky at his prize. He swiftly climbed onto the reptilian creature and it took off immediately, powering through the moving forest and through the treetops to the sky. He broke through the top and started to hover as a wave of wind shook the trees down to their very roots. They watched in anticipation as a dark splotch formed in the sky. A blue shape fell from the black abyss in the sky, the man and his creatures were completely focused on the splotch watching as it fell. Suddenly the man cracked an almost evil smile and pointed towards to the shape. The reptile looked once at the finger and roared louder than normal to show it was ready and powered off towards the shape at a great speed.
My body was having waves of pain shiver down my spine; I was completely ignoring the outside world as my body hurt everywhere. There was no escape from the pain, it was there and it certainly was not going to let me forget it. Finally I started to realize that the pain was subsiding and that I could feel the world again. I felt the wind tugging at me everywhere and slowly opened an eye. I was in extreme pain and I was going to crash land. I struggled to open my wings, do anything at all to stop myself from falling to my death but every time I succeeded my body gave a horrendous lurch and would stop moving. I heard a loud noise through my blinding pain, It was not a happy voice at all. I forced my eyes open to see what was around me. Powering towards me was orange dragon with a creature on its back with a look of great evil pleasure, not Evil but still sort of evil. The dragon approached me and I tried to struggle but couldn't suddenly the dragon blasted me with fire and through the fire I saw the glint of something small but then it all went black.
My body felt limp and weak, it was unfamiliar and uncomfortable. I was collapsed on a patch of wet grass, my eyes too weak to open. So I laid there in the darkness waiting for something to happen. I lay on the ground for what seemed like an infinitely long time. The sound of the wind just slowly comforting me as it blew over my body wrapping me in it’s protective grip, My mind was in a haze and was floating above me where it couldn’t help me. No matter what I did my body just resisted, I panicked as I thought I could be paralyzed but that can't be the case because I can still feel the parts just they felt so weird, so alien. I wanted to cry but I still couldn’t. The grass which was wet suddenly went extremely cold, like the small beads of water froze to my body. I felt my body start to react to the cold, not even in a shiver but more like a small fire was started to combat the cold but instead of combating the cold I got colder. It didn't bother me in fact it felt lovely sort of like when you bruise your leg and you put a ice pack on it. It was almost pleasurable. The cold started all over my body giving it a shiver of excitement, not of chill. It slowly got colder and colder and slowly climbed from my legs to my head giving me relief to every part of my body. Rapidly my body temperature got colder and finally climbed to the apex. My body gave a huge lurch of relief, excitement and most of all pleasure. My body screamed at me “Oh yes!” but my mind screamed “Oh no!”. I ignored my mind; my body was in a bliss it had never been in before, something so right it hurt my mind to think about it. I let out a huge sigh as my body shivered in the “Oh yes” moment.
My eyes flew open as the ground shook as something incredibly heavy landed. I looked around the clearing in which I was laying in. The ground was frozen all around me and trees lined the small clearing. I didn't recognize the place; it certainly wasn't the everfree forest. Not enough life threatening creatures of the dark to kill me. I sized up the area for all possible escape routes. People always believe I the great rainbow dash am a rather average thinker but I am rather “experienced” In battles. I can tell when one is coming and how to deal with it, It’s almost like a pinky sense. My mind numbed as I tried to move, my body might feel great and is just fine but something is very wrong. I tried to push up on my front legs but they just didn’t move, in fact couldn't feel them. I struggled to stand up, snow kicking up around me as I struggled on the ground. I struggled to kick out with my front legs but somewhat succeeded with my back. I tried moving my wings but I ended up hurting myself more. I ended up flipping myself on my back and I felt like tank as I just couldn't move from that position. I resulted in straining my neck to look over my body to see what injuries I had sustained. I screamed in pure horror and confusion, my body… my body isn't MY body. I looked over it and just continued screaming a high pitch scream which echoed into the forest.
Slowly the orange reptile dropped the young man off in a tree, it hovered for a few seconds confirming it’s masters safety before executing the next plan. It slowly walked around the injured creature making soft noises at first to try and get it’s attention then resulting in making loud noises. Finally the creature responded when the reptile flew up and dropped onto the ground. It made sure that it’s prey was still very alive and that all problems were secure before returning to observe the creature in the middle. It stared at it as flailed in the middle, attempting to move after its crash. The orange reptile looked around the clearing waiting for the movement behind the undergrowth to tell it to move. It felt a hand lightly drape over it’s shoulder and new it was time, they sprang. The huge reptile stepped out behind the now screaming creature. Slowly the person stepped out with it. The person looked over the creature and slowly put his hand up and whistled.
I was still screaming and my brain was spinning, how is this possible? Instead of a Pegasus, I was a bird! Now how can I be a wonderbolt? Is this a dream? Why would I be dreaming I was a bird? I started hyperventilating. Suddenly a shrill call pierced through my ears. I started scrambling to get up, how do birds stand? Shapes caught my eye, a huge turtle like Tank but with cannons and a huge green…thing with a flower. I started ripping up the grass trying to stand, think rainbow dash THINK! Birds, two feet, beak, wings… Wings. “Wings!” I shouted it and started laughing maniacally. I saw the huge creatures approaching me. I flipped myself back over and spread my wings. “LETS DO THIS!” I took to the skies and turned around. I wobbled in the air “Ok, wings are a bit different, I can deal with this.” Suddenly vines lashed out from the ground and pulled me downwards. My eyes narrowed on the green creature, “So you want to do this?” I moved my legs and quickly cut the vines. I noticed another creature, the same creature from before!
“Oh it’s you! I’ll make you pay for humiliating me! Feel the wrath of rainbow dash!” I nose-dived straight for it. Right before I was able to hit the huge dragon like animal I was pushed off course by a blast of water. I rolled out of control but was soon soaring in the sky again. “That was a dirty shot!” I growled out the sentence before Charging at the turtle. I connected with it head to head But almost instantly was swatted off course by the dragons tail. My back smashed against a tree and I slumped into the ground. I quickly sorted my mind out and tried to get back up but was quickly grabbed with vines. I was dragged from the tree by my feet and I was left dangling. I squirmed and fought but slowly a person approached me. I flapped my wings harder but was rewarded with a blast of water to the face. As water dripped off my face the person was at my face, a creature appeared from its shoulder and ran down its arm and just stood there as if waiting for an order. It was so small, there was no way it was going to hurt me. “What’s that going to do? Tickle me to death?” I sneered in its face. The person threw his hand out to his side and suddenly the creature with a zigzag tail electrocuted me. Everything hurt again and I was frozen with my eyes open looking at my attackers. I couldn't move but I still grunted out “Who are you?” Before the person whipped out a ball and hit me in the face with it.
I floated in a space area it was the weirdest feeling, almost as if a unicorn had removed gravity around me. It felt like if I were to open my eyes I would just be floating just out of everybody’s grasp, So close to the ground but an infinity away from any familiar thing. The darkness filled every inch of my vision blocking out all hope, My desperation was growing. The skys in which I once knew had somehow been torn away, Where am I? What am I? I wanted to sit down with a daring-doo book right now so desperately, I needed something to re-attach me to…me. I noticed a light within the darkness, faint and small but enough that I could see it. My tail. A long wispy gracious thing held the familiar colours which I had been given at birth. It glowed such an odd light, soft and barely noticeable but still like a beckon much brighter than anything else felt here. I felt a sudden surge of power through my body then sleep slowly grasped me with its delicate tendrils and pulled me into a darker black.
The tendrils tugged me ever so slightly back I couldn't resist but I really didn't care. Let the dark take me, maybe something inside of me will resize this is all fake and just some weird memory. A bright light scratched my eyes and I was dragged towards it almost by force. My body almost instinctively stiffened and stood at a rigid attention. The light got closer and closer and suddenly I was spit out into a bright room. My body immediately exhaled giving the effect of me just plain screaming in somebody’s face. The shocked face just stood there then slowly backed up and just looked at me.
I was standing in the middle of a lab filled with gadgets and trinkets I really would never understand. Tables filled with notes and books and other assortments of stuff were strung about the room in no particular meaning. Bookcases closed of the room almost substituting for walls. They clearly blocked the entrance area from the more science-y area and a third unknown area. My gaze followed around the room to the two people, at least that what I think they are… they fit the description. As the old mares tail told, creature’s barren of fur or tails, barren of wings or horn, who stood on two legs ruled over the land. They held a firm grasp on all the lands and never let anything there freedom. They controlled the weak and commanded the strong to do their bidding. On one fateful night of true horror, the land wept as its beautiful creatures fought over its back and tarnished the land for all else. The land, scared of what would happen to all of its other creatures produced two creatures on the night that the sun met the moon. Two equine which adorned both wings and horn. The story of the two princesses’ tells of how they stopped the terror of the humans and saved the land now known as Equestria. It was my favorite bedtime story… that’s why I know it so well but now is not the time to be thinking about this.
As the human gazed at me I glared back examining the supposed horrors. “Nothing? NOTHING!” I shouted in its face. It’s completely powerless, absolutely nothing to defend against me! I started laughing, the ‘scary’, and ‘horror’ filled humans can’t do anything! “Red this isn't an articuno, it physically looks like it but only it’s coloring off and IT TALKS.” I let out a breath of air “Ok so whatever this joke is I GET IT. Now if you don’t mind I’ll be leaving!” I took off in the building and hovered for a minute just to scatter the papers everywhere. I slowly made my way to the door as my wings were bigger than usual I threw a powered gust of wind towards the door to open it. I landed and tucked my wings up and started to clumsily stumble out the door. The village that I was in was too small for its own good I mean where’s the Sweet shop? I leaned my head back into the sun “Ok, Twilight! I get it! You can stop the spell! Seriously now!” I was trying to gesture with my wings when I heard a shout behind me. “Go arcanine!” A flash of light in front of me caught my attention A huge orange and black dog appeared there and just growled at me. “Now, uh…what’s your name?” I glanced back and sneered at the man in the white jacket “You don’t get to know” “Ok so are you a boy or a girl?” “What do you think?” I was just toying with him, it’s not like he can hurt me. “Miss, please come back into the room or forceful measures will be used to reacquire you.” I completely turned my back to the orange dog “Reacquire me? I’m not an Item!” Suddenly I heard a growl “Arcanine use bite!” I tried to turn around fast enough but I felt the crunch on my wing I let out a hiss of pain. I lifted off the ground and flew around a building to regain my confidence. Nobody messes with rainbow dash.
I lifted away from the house into the sun to try to block their vision. “ Arcanine use flamethrower!” I heard the call and quickly swooped down and nose dived at the dog while it was still blinded “She’s using Aerial ace! Arcanine move left!” the dog moved almost in exact synch with the command “Now use overheat!” A blast of fire went everywhere covering me I sat hovering in the middle. “There is no way anything this puny is even going to touch me!” I burst out of the top and dived straight for the person in the coat The dog ran straight for him as well. It’s about time he attacked him too, I grinned but suddenly the dog spun in the dirt kicking up sand and jumped straight at me. “Arcanine use overheat again!” I tried to veer upwards to stop it but the sand confused me and I flew straight into the dog. I was engulfed in fire, it burned everywhere. I struggled but I managed to climb back into the sky. “Arcanine! Stand your ground, don't move in lease she makes a move!” The dog yipped back and spread its paws and dug them into the ground. I hovered in front of the sun. “You want me to make the first move here? Fine your end.” Again I dived straight for the dog I locked my wings to my side and just dropped. “ Don't move arcanine!” I had a plan there was no way to see this coming! “Arcanine! Move left!” We both jumped directly to the opposite side of each of other. “Arcanine, use flamethrower” I flew straight for it but locked my wings and rolled to the left at the last second, the fire just brushing me. I opened my wings and powered forward with great accuracy. “Ha, don't let me get the overhand.” I smashed into the dog.
The dog tumbled of its feet and viscously rumbled down a hill, when it reached the bottom it laid still. “A one hit KO? How…” Slowly “red” put his hand over the man’s mouth and pushed him back behind him. “Oh you're so threatening I think I'm going faint!” I continued to sneer. His eyes narrowed and just shook his head in disgust. The man in the white coat was standing on top of the hill looking down. I turned towards him and ignored “red”. “Well are going to go help it? I'll go and help you get it if you can't?” The man turned towards me “Oh if you could do that it would very helpful.” A evil smile cracked against my lips “Deal, first though you tell me who you are, where am I and why would you EVER help in this sick prank.” He gave a shocked look for a second then just nodded. “My name is Professor Oak, and currently you are on a secluded island devoted to researching Pokémon.” “What’s a Pokémon?” I was confused… an animal? He stared at me before leaping down the cliff. He slid down the side and started to check his dog. Suddenly I was beside him, on the ground. A huge green thing landed on top of me. I struggled to move but ended up catching my wing on something. Red sat down in front of me and just stared at me, silently. I let out an anguished cry. He raised his hand up almost ready to slap me but quickly slammed his hand down on my mouth. He sealed it shut with his hand; he proceeded to look at me with one final look of disgust and smeared my face into the dirt. I couldn't move with my wing caught on a rock or something and a huge thing on my back and oh yeah not to mention my face in the dirt like a dogs in its own crap. I felt a rope slip around my legs and tying them to each other and my wings bound together with something else. Slowly my face was lifted off the ground but I got the pleasure of having a rope around my mouth. I glanced daggers at red. I was slowly lifted off the ground and carried to the front of the building I had just escaped. I was dropped from the sky onto the ground making me let out a groan. My face once again was pushed into the ground. I felt my body slowly being dragged onto smooth tiles. I felt like they were trying to break my spirit… thats not very likely.

Sorry for the wait for people who were waiting! I've been caught up with school and crap relating to that.
Also I feel that I'm not replicating rainbow dash's personality and it's making it hard to write. Please give me some feedback on her personality, I would love it!
Also I know that oak and red are horribly out of character it's on purpose. ;)
