Rarity sighed as she witnessed all her hard work from the day had finally paid off. The dress was beautiful. It was orange with purple stripes swirling continuously around every side. Many diamonds and other gems were lined up along the stripes, shimmering from the glow of the light illuminating the room. The white unicorn looked at the clock on the other side of the room.

‘10:30 P.M.’

She yawned. “I suppose it’s about time to get some sleep, I better go check on Sweetie Belle and make sure she’s in bed.” Rarity said to herself. The white unicorn opened the door of her inspiration room and walked down the hallway. She then saw a purple colored door with a pink sparkled star on the top of the door. She opened it and stepped in. The lights were all turned off. Rarity walked over to the small bed in the corner of the room and saw a small unicorn filly sleeping soundly.

This made her smile, Sweetie Belle looked so peaceful, it was just so cute to her. She lowered her head and gave Sweetie Belle a small kiss on the forehead before turning around and walking out of the room, closing the door. Rarity walked back to her bedroom, turning off the light, stepping into her bed, and putting on her sleep mask.

Just as she was upon the border of slumber…

*CRASH*

A window broke down the hall. Rarity shot up out of her bed, ripped off the sleep mask and ran down the hallway to Sweetie Belle’s room. She quickly opened the door. Her eyes widened.

The window was broken and she saw the end of a long black tentacle slither out of the hole in the window. Rarity looked over and saw Sweetie was gone! She looked back over to the window and ran to it. Rarity saw the same tentacle slither onto the roof. Rarity casted a teleportation spell and appeared on the roof of the boutique. But as soon as she reached the roof, no one was there except for her, so Sweetie’s kidnapper was gone and she didn’t know where they went.

“No…” Rarity said to herself, a tear streaming down her face.

Applejack sighed as she walked to Twilight’s door and knocked. She waited for a few moments and no one answered. She knocked again and the door opened.

“Hey Applejack.”  Twilight said with a smile.

“Hey Twi.” AJ responded

“Would you like to come in?” Twilight said with a gesture of her hoof.

“Sure. Thanks.” The orange mare replied. Applejack walked in and Twilight closed the door.

“So, how are you and Rarity, if you don’t mind me asking.” Asked Twilight.

“We’re doing pretty well, I miss her though. I haven’t seen her in a few days. How are you and Rainbow Da-“

*BANG* *BANG* *BANG*

Applejack was cut off by something banging on the door. Twilight walked over to open it and saw Rarity, panting from exhaustion.

“Rarity? What’s wrong?” Twilight asked.

Rarity caught her breath and regained her composure. She began to speak.

“Sweetie Belle is missing.” Rarity answered. Twilight’s and AJ’s eyes widened.

“What?” They both asked in unison.

“Someone, or some thing , took her. I was about to fall asleep and I heard a window break in her room. I ran to her room and some sort of appendage had her and it pulled her out of the window.”

“Um, Rarity, are you sure this really happened?” asked Twilight. Rarity nodded.

“Twilight, I know what I saw.” She said flatly.

“Can you please help me try to find her?” Asked Rarity. Twilight nodded.  Applejack got up out of her chair and spoke.

“I’ll help you Rarity, we’ve gotta get the others though.”

“Yeah, if we’re going to find Sweetie Belle, we’re going to need them. The more ponies searching for her, the more likeliness that we’ll find her.” said Twilight.

“Alright, let’s go.” Rarity added.

“Let’s go get Fluttershy first.” said Twilight as she lead AJ and Rarity toward the cottage.

On top of one of the tall houses next to the library stood a figure, wearing a white hooded jacket with black hair. It smiled, even with grin cut into its face, as it watched the three ponies run.

Once they arrived, they were panting from exhaustion. Twilight knocked on the door and heard a high, chirpy voice say “Hold on a second!” in just that moment of time, Pinkie Pie opened the door. “Hi girls, what brings you here?” Twilight gained her composure “Hey, Pinkie, do you know where Fluttershy is?” Pinkie nodded “She’s right over here.” she said with a gesture to the couch. Fluttershy was sitting on the couch, reading a book. Pinkie, along with the others, walked to her marefriend. “Flutters, we’ve got guests.” Pinkie gave her a nuzzle to pull her out of her personal world. The yellow Pegasus closed the book and greeted them. “Oh, hello, girls.” She said with a smile.

“Hi, Flutteshy.” Twilight replied. “We need you and Pinkie to come with us. It’s an urgent matter.”

Fluttershy gave a puzzled look at the unicorn “What’s the occasion? Isn’t it a little late?”

“I’m afraid we don’t have much time to explain yet, this is serious!” Rarity replied. Applejack nodded in agreement. “We really need your help.”

Twilight spoke “I’ll explain everything when we get back to the library but first, we need to get Rainbow Dash.”

Fluttershy, though confused, obliged to join them. If this situation truly was as important as they said it was, she would be glad to do her part. Pinkie, on the other hand, had no problem agreeing with her friends. Apparently, her enthusiasm met no bounds.

As they left the cottage, they started the walk for Rainbow Dash’s cloud house.

They arrived about twenty minutes later. Fluttershy was the first to speak. Since I’m the only other Pegasus out of all of us, I think it would be a good idea for me to fly up there and see if she’s still awake.”

Her friends nodded in agreement. She flapped her wings and ascended to the window at the top of the cloud mansion. Shy tapped at the window a few times, but with no response, except for a loud snore. Reluctantly, she smacked her hoof at the window, making a much louder noise than before. Rainbow Dash slightly snorted as she shot up with a start. She looked at the noise, and saw her friend floating outside the window. She let out a slight sigh of relief as she stepped over to the glass. She opened the window.

“Fluttershy? What are you doing here?” she asked in slight confusion “It’s, like, one in the morning!”

“The girls really need our help. Apparently, it’s really urgent. We’re all following her to the library. Twilight will tell us more about it when we get there.” Dash looked at the ground, seeing her friends waving. Seeing Twilight made her heart skip a beat. ”Okay, well, if it’s important, I guess we better get going.” Said Dash as she flew down to meet up with her friends, followed by ‘Shy. As they finished their descent, the six walked to their final destination of the night.

The Golden Oaks Library.

Once they arrived, Twilight opened the door and gestured them to step inside and take a seat. Once seated, the five friends waited for Twilight. She was standing in front of them, in the center of the room. She cleared her throat, and began to speak.

“Girls, I have an important announcement. Earlier tonight, Rarity’s little sister, Sweetie Belle, was kidnapped.” Her friends, except for Rarity, let out a gasp.

“Apparently, she was captured while she was sleeping in her room. The window was broken and she was taken out of her room. If my memory serves me correct, she was taken at approximately 10:30 P.M. tonight, right Rarity?” The white colored mare shed a single tear as she nodded. “Rarity, could you please explain what you saw?” Rarity let out a small sigh.

“I saw her window broken, and when I ran in, and before I could do anything, I saw a black appendage slither out of the room.”

When Rainbow Dash heard this flashbacks flooded her head. A young foal in the middle of the forest, it’s organs strung across the trees and branches, and tall black figure, the long, black limbs that writhed from its back.

Rarity hung her head low. Applejack reached her hoof around Rares’ shoulder, and held her close. Rarity started to cry. Applejack whispered to her

“It’s gonna be okay, Rares, we’ll find her. It’ll be alright.”

Twilight then spoke “I’ve noticed that Ponyville has taken various casualties over the past few weeks. Ever since, I’ve kept a radio on just in case there’s been any news on what has been happening. As of now, I have no idea whether Sweetie’s disappearance is a part of this, but I think there might be more than one culprit involved in her kidnapping and the killings.”

Rainbow asked her friend “Well, have you heard anything about it?” The unicorn shook her head.

“No, not yet. All I’ve heard is normal weather forecasts or things of that sort. There hasn’t been a lot of information, even though this should be their main concern.” Twilight suddenly cringed as she heard a strange noise coming from the kitchen. Twilight gestured for her friends to follow her. When they walked in, Twilight realized it was the radio. The only noise coming from the speakers was a strange static. This was unusual. The radio was never like this. She sat down at the table and asked

“Dash, can you get me some batteries out of the bottom drawer on the far left on the counter?” Dash nodded and opened the drawer, retrieving said objects. She handed the two batteries to Twilight. She inserted them and repositioned the antenna.

Still static.

“Maybe we should just for a second for the signal to come back.” Said Twilight as she placed it down. After a few moments the static had settled. She let out a small chuckle of relief, thankful that something wasn’t wrong with it. A voice ended the silence, but it wasn’t the voice Twilight was used to hearing in a news update. It was darker, it seemed more ominous. Like the voice that only a madman could possess.

“Hello, everyone. My name’s Jeff. You might not know me as of now, but oh well, you’ll get to know me in due time. The deaths you’ve heard of in the recent news updates, they’re just the beginning. I’m going to let you in on a little secret.” Jeff chuckled “If we don’t kill everyone in your precious village, they’re be our slaves until their last breath.”

“I suppose I can’t save everyone from this world. But this village will not be our only target. What do I mean by ‘our target’ you may ask? Well, I’m not the only killer here. No, if you need a job done, you need the right ‘allies’ to do the job.”

Slendermane stared at the innocent foal through the window. He rose his hoof and set the tip against the window, making a feint screeching noise. The colt blinked and looked to the source of the noise. He saw nothing there. Just as he was about to turn his head, Slendermane grabbed him from behind turned him around. The foal tried to scream but no noise came from his throat. He was completely frozen! The last thing the young foal had seen was a thin smile slowly appear on the faceless creature’s head, and static, before everything faded to black.

The Rake grinned widely as he continued to devour the creature before him. This was the final kill for the night. Between mouthfuls of flesh, he let out shrill whispers of joy. His meal was cut short when her heard footsteps along with the sight of lights turning on. His eyes darted to the right as he turned around. Big Macintosh was staring at the creature, eyes wide. A single tear rolled down his face at the sight. He grit his teeth as he started to chase the creature. The Rake let out a shriek as it fled. The front door still left ajar. The Rake was too fast for Big Mac.

The creature fled until it was out of Mac’s view. He grunted and turned to look at the corpse. The stallion cried at the sight of Winona’s body.

Eyeless Jack kicked the body away from him. Davenport lay dead on the floor, in a pool of blood. He took a bite out of the kidney before swallowing the rest of it whole. Jack looked down at the body and gave it a final kick to the chest before instantly dashing away.

“If you’re listening to this broadcast, notice that I have received the address of everyone in this village and I know exactly where you are. For instance, one of you lives with a DJ, and are a member of an orchestra. One of you lives in a house, not far from the center of the village, and used to live with someone named Lyra. One of you lives in a library, and is quite the bookworm.” Twilight’s friends gave a shocked look at her. Her eyes were wide and she was shaking.

“The list goes on and on.”

“You aren’t safe. If I don’t get you, one of my special ‘friends’ will.”

“I’ll be waiting, GO. TO. SLEEP.”

The transmission ended in static...
