//-------------------------------------------------------// Windy Shores -by Princess Cadenza- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue Prologue A world in the outer space of the universe sits in the Milky Way Galaxy. It looks just like a regular planet, it seems, a small Earth-sized pink, purple, green and blue planet. But mystic life spawns upon it. The amount of life spread upon it is major, without further notice, something could just sweep out a thousand ponies from the planet, and the population wouldn't really decrease as much as Earth would. The planet's name is Equestria. Equestria is a fantasy land where mysterious, mystical, and unique ponies are spread about, going about everyday as usual. Pegasi would plan weather for the earth ponies and the unicorns, and nobody was to mess with the weather without consulting the Cloudsdale rulers, the Wonderbolts. The unicorns would go about casting magic spells to accomplish magic school skills or to help the fellow ponies with anything they needed help with. The unicorns didn't really have a job in particular, they owned businesses and factories, which made it as equal as the earth ponies did. Unicorns' lives were easier than the earth ponies, for the unicorns had levitation and magic and the earth ponies didn't. The earth ponies were not as powerful as pegasi or unicorns, but they always depended on getting the job done. Life was harder for the earth ponies, but they didn't care. They did think it was just the teeniest, tiniest, slightest unfair, but only getting the job done distracted them from just thinking that. The most powerful were the Alicorns. They were all the most powerful beings in the history and whole worldwide of Equestria. They were known for having pegasus wings and a unicorn horn, and were always addresssed as 'royalty'. Alicorns were believed to be royalty, because for centuries back, King Starlo (Pegasus) and Queen Galaxia (Unicorn) gave birth to a winged unicorn. It was more powerful than anything else in Equestria at the time. They called it an Alicorn. Soon, a family tree of Alicorns formed, and from that very first Alicorn all other Alicorns were considered descendants of royalty. The Alicorn's name was Princess Celestia. Today, in 2013 A.D., still sits Princess Celestia and her younger sister Princess Luna in Equestria. At the capital of the world, Canterlot, there resided a huge castle. Inside the castle lived the Royal Pony Sisters, the government of the United States of Equestria, and the royal ministry. As for now, it was the day after Windy Shores' twentieth birthday. Windy Shores was a young Alicorn. She was the only daughter of Princess Celestia. Her father had passed in a freak accident long ago, which left Princess Celestia and Windy Shores to their own lives. Windy Shores was never addressed as "Princess Windy Shores" because she had never proved worthy enough to be a princess, this fact always haunted her like an angry bumblebee. This time, she wanted to prove that she was worthy enough to be a princess pony; she would do anything to be part of a royal addressment, and she would do anything to show she was able to do something for once. But she didn't know how. She thought about it so much, and couldn't think of anything that would magically turn her to a princess. It was a windy, re-freshening summer day in Canterlot, which gave Windy Shores the thought: This is the day. This is finally gonna show I can do something for once! But she hoped she did. "Princess Celestia," said Moontwirl, one of Princess Celestia's most trusted assistants. Moontwirl bowed in her prescence. "Hello, Moontwirl," Princess Celestia replied. "What brings you here to my prescence, may I ask?" "Your Highness. There has been something wrong with Equestria lately. Word has been spreading like madness. Somepony has stolen the Alicorn Marking." Princess Celestia gasped. She lept out of her throne and hiperventalated for a second before glancing back at her assistant. "I hope you didn't just say what you said." The Princess groaned. "That... That marking is supposed to guard the whole planet! What thief would dare steal the most powerful and important amulet in all of Equestria?!" "I'm sorry, Princess." Moontwirl let out a small sigh through her lips. "Also, there has been some clue on who might have stole it. We shall not jump to conclusions on who it may be; we do not know who the clue is directing us to, but it means something. There have been hoofprints leading from it all the way through to the Everfree Forest." "I see," said Celestia. "So what exactly does that have to do with finding out who stole it?" "We have detected some sparkling dust in the hoofprints. I know, I know... Somepony may have just swam in a pool of sparkle dust. But it could mean something-- Either royalty, or someone with a glitter dust Cutie Mark. We can't be sure. And nopony's brave enough to follow the tracks through the Everfree forest to see whom the tracks lead to." "Wow, okay, so if nopony's gonna go find it then we may be done here. But I can't blame the ponies who don't want to go looking through the Everfree to find it. The Everfree is the most scariest forest in Equestria, and only a pony with true talent and bravery can conquer their fears to find it. They might just be proving they could handle ruling Equestria alongside with me." A young pure-white coated Alicorn with a ruby-mane strode into the room, overhearing what Princess Celestia had said. The Alicorn was Windy Shores. "I'll find your Marking for you, Mother," said Windy Shores. "Don't keep me from doing it. This is personal. The thief who stole the Marking doesn't know that Equestria is gonna get shut off, unless that's what they want." Princess Celestia and Moontwirl just stared at Windy. Princess Celestia spoke up: "You, daughter? I'm not sure you're capable of handling this situation. You're just a filly. A young Alicorn." "I'm not a filly! I'm a mare. I don't know if I'll make out succeeding, but it's better than not trying at all." "Are you sure?" asked Celestia. "I mean, this is far too big for something even I could succeed with." "Please let me, Mother! I can do it, I promise! Please, this could be my one chance I can prove I can do something for once. If nopony's gonna find the Marking for us, Equestria may be at an end. But if I do it, it's better than nothing! Please! It's a one-time opportunity!" "Well, okay... But don't blame me if you fail. I just let you because like you said, it's better trying than not trying." "I won't fail you!" "Seven days! Equestria can only last for seven days without the Marking!"
