Author's Note

The Rainbooms are trying to get over what Abacus Cinch did to them. Something then comes up that the girls are needing help with.

Recovering and Worrying

The scene changes at Canterlot City Hospital. Where the Rainbooms were escorted out by Hoity Toity.

“Thank you for helping us last night.” Rarity praised.

“You’re welcome, my friends.” Hoity Toity replied. “You girls will be happy to know that your instruments are safe and undamaged.”

“That’s good.” Sunset sighed. She soon started to get mad. “If Abacus Cinch damaged any of our instruments, I’m gonna...”

“Easy, Sunset.” Twilight calmly said. “We’re all a little uptight because of what happened.”

Hoity Toity then made an announcement. “Since you girls have a week off from school, you’re all invited to spend it in my humble abode.”

“Oh dear.” Fluttershy gasped. “That’s an unexpected surprise.”

“I’m with you, Flutters.” Rainbow Dash added. “I hope our parents are cool with that.”

“Don’t worry, Miss Dash.” Hoity Toity said. “I called your parents while you were recovering. They all agree that a week with me will help you girls relax.”

Soon, the girls arrived at Hoity Toity’s estate. They were given rooms to stay in. In one room, Applejack and Rarity noticed that their room has bunk beds.

“Doesn’t this remind you of our stay at Camp Everfree, Applejack?” Rarity asked.

“Sure does.” AJ answered. “When it’s bedtime, you can take bottom and I’ll take the top.”

Rarity is satisfied. “Deal.”

In another room, Twilight and Sunset sat down on two air mattresses.

“This doesn’t feel that bad.” Twilight figured. “We could sleep peacefully tonight.”

Sunset got a bit worried. “I hope so. The way your former principal thrashed us still rattles me.”

"That's a good point."

And, in a third room, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie look at their room.

“Roomy.” Pinkie squealed.

“Definitely.” Dash replied. “These beds look comfy.”

Fluttershy nodded in agreement. Later that night, the seven girls, in their sleepwear, sat and talked about what happened.

“Last night was one of the most embarrassing nights we ever suffered.” Rarity stated.

“That’s for sure.” Rainbow Dash added. “I can’t believe Cinch cancelled our show!”

Fluttershy just sat with tears in her eyes. Sunset went over to comfort her. “Don’t worry, Fluttershy. Things will work out.”

“I h..h...hope s..so.” Fluttershy sobbed.

“We all have to relax.” Twilight informed. “This Saturday night, we are to perform here for a grand party Mr. Hoity Toity is hosting.”

“Hopefully, without Miss Cinch getting in our way.” Sunset added.

“Yeah!” Pinkie blurted. “She’s a real party pooper.”

Applejack soon spoke out. “Since Mr. Hoity Toity is being nice to us, we should do something to make that Saturday more special for him.”

“What’s your idea, Darling?” Rarity asked.

“Let’s just get some sleep. I’ll talk to y’all about it in the morning.”

The group all agreed. But, they’re still a little worried about Abacus Cinch disturbing their music again. The next morning, the scene shifts to another location in the neighborhood. It’s where roommates Vinyl Scratch and Octavia Melody have a discussion during breakfast.

“Do you think this secret idea will work, Tavi?” Vinyl asked.

“Believe me, Vinyl.” Octavia replied. “This will work.”

“I agreed that we should help Twilight and her friends get ready for Saturday night. But, is it right to leave them in the dark about what we’re doing?”

“The less people that know, the better. This way, Abacus Cinch won’t get in anybody’s way.”

Later, the roommates are prepared to go their separate ways.

“You know your part.” Octavia said.

“I sure do.” Vinyl replied. “See ya later.”

Octavia and Vinyl went in different directions to put their plan in action.
