Kamen Rider Shifter
Movie 1: Part 3
Previous ChapterNext ChapterCrystal Prep was one of the best schools in its part of the country. Its alumni almost always went on to roles of great significance. Many people believed that a future president would one day graduate from it.
But despite its great reputation, it had once been known as a place where childhoods went to die. So focused on achievements, the school had little room for fun. Fun was seen as a distraction and not something worth wasting time on. At least until recently, when a new principal had taken over.
The former Dean of the school turned Principal, Cadance, smiled as she walked down the halls.
Despite it being a weekend, some of the students had asked to come in to continue a science project they had been working on. And since Cadance's fiance was busy, she had agreed to supervise them.
As such, she arrived at the science lab and found some of her students were hard at work. There were four students in total. Sugarcoat, Neon Lights, Fleur De Lis and Garden Grove. The four were all staring at a purple gem that was inside a glass jar, the four staring at it in wonder.
Cadance stared at the gem herself, as she stepped over to them. "So, how are the experiments coming?"
"Not great," Neon told her. "This rock is a complete mystery. We've no idea what it is and what weird powers it has." Cadance hummed at this, remembering when her students had brought it in to do these experiments. Apparently, they had found it in the local woods during an anthropological study they were doing.
"This rock is definitely no ordinary gemstone," Sugarcoat stated. "When we did an inferred scan, we found it was filled with some kind of energy. But no matter what we do, we can't seem to access the energy. We've hit it with light, electricity, heat and even a small dose of gamma radiation. But nothing makes it react."
"Did you try just breaking it open?" Cadance asked, as the students frowned.
"That was the first thing we tried," Fleur sighed. "But nothing we have was even able to chip it. This thing is freaking indestructible."
Cadance let that info sink in and wondered what kind of gemstone this was. And as she wondered, an idea formed in her head. "Maybe you should ask someone for their opinion. Someone who might have experience with this kind of rock."
"But we don't know what kind of rock it is," Garden told her.
"I think it's pretty obvious what it is. A strange rock with strange energy within it. What does that sound like to you." The students frowned, as they all realised what she was saying.
"You think it's magic," Sugarcoat stated. "And you want us to ask Twilight and her new friends about it." Cadance nodded, as the four frowned.
"But this is our rock," Neon cried. "If we tell them, they might take it away."
"If it's really got magic inside of it, having it here could be dangerous. You all saw what happened during the Friendship Games. Do you really want to accidentally open a portal that might suck the school into another dimension?"
They all sighed before speaking in unison. "No."
Cadance smiled as she nodded. "Good. Besides, I might be wrong. It might not be magic. And if it isn't, I'm sure the girls will let you keep it." They nodded, as Cadance moved over to the window and thought about how insane her life was.
A year ago, she never would have considered magic as a possibility for anything. Now, she had to wonder if it was that whenever something strange happened. Combine that with the Mimics and everyone was getting crazy in her life. Shining losing his memory, Twilight being kidnapped and her boyfriend being revealed to be a Mimic. What was next?
Cadance's answer came almost instantly, as she spotted a light through one of the windows.
A light that had formed a portal of some kind, which a bunch of creatures suddenly leapt out of. One group was the Mimicreeps she had heard of, whilst the others were a group she had never seen before. But what Cadance knew was that them being here was not a good thing.
"Everyone get down!" She cried, running over to her students and pushing them to the floor.
"What's wrong?" Fleur asked, looking worried as Cadance gestured for them to move under the window.
"Mimics." That was all she needed to say and the kids were suddenly very worried. As they moved to the window, Cadance took out her phone and dialled up her fiance. But for some reason, she couldn't connect. "Come on, Shining. Please don't tell me you forgot to charge your phone." She tried again, but still got no response.
"This is really bad," Neon gulped.
"Won't the Kamen Riders arrive and save us?" Garden asked, as Cadance risked a glance out the window and saw them approaching.
"It's not like they magically appear whenever the Mimics attack," Sugarcoat frowned. "It might take them a while to get here."
"So what do we do?" Neon asked, as Fleur also risked a glance.
"Maybe they won't find us," she hoped. "Maybe they came for something else."
"Maybe," Cadance frowned. "But if they find us, they won't hesitate to attack. We need to find a way to defend ourselves if they do that." She looked around, but couldn't find anything she could use as a weapon. Nothing that wouldn't hurt them in the process, at least.
Minutes passed and the Mimics entered the building, Cadance seeing they were no longer outside. She frowned, wishing the windows opened more than a few degrees. But before she could think of smashing the window, the door was suddenly blown off its hinges and sent flying.
They all gasped, Cadance jumping in front of the teens as something stepped into the room.
That something was Draggle, the witch monster looking around until she spotted the jar they had been working on. "Yes! Finally! Hand it over!"
Sugarcoat saw what she was looking at and ran over to it. "You're not getting your hands on this gem." Draggle growled, as Neon leaned over to her.
"What are you doing? Just give it to her and she might leave."
Sugarcoat frowned at him. "If this is what they're after, the gem is clearly dangerous. We can't risk them getting their hands on it. Who knows what they'll do with it." Cadance frowned, but realised she was right. Whatever this gem was, they couldn't let the Mimics have it.
"I won't ask again," Draggle pointed her staff at them. "Give me the Infinigem Fragment!" As she said that, Frill and High stepped into the room with several monsters behind them.
"Just grab them and bring them with us," Frill stated. "We need some new subordinates." The five looked worried, as Draggle's staff unleashed a bright yellow light. That light grabbed them all and lifted the group into the air, the lot crying out in fear.
Sugarcoat tried to hold onto the jar, but it was eventually pulled out of her grasp and she cried out in shock. "NO!" The monsters laughed at this, only for a loud engine to suddenly catch their attention.
They looked towards the window and to their surprise, three elaborate motorcycles flew over the school's border wall and raced across the grass. As they did, one of the riders shot something at the window and the glass disintegrated without an explosion.
This allowed the three to jump off their bikes and fly through the window, revealing themselves to be the three Kamen Riders.
Shifter, E-Quest and Morphic quickly got into a fighting stance, as they looked around and saw the situation in front of them. And when Morphic saw Cadance, his blood began to boil. "Let them go!" He pointed his blaster at them, but Draggle acted fast and pulled the five over so they were between the Riders and monsters.
"Don't try anything funny," the Riders all growled at her. At the same time, Frill grabbed the jar out of her magic.
His first instinct was to open a portal. But he didn't want to risk it with the Riders there. The last thing they needed, was for them to discover the location of their new base. Instead, he turned to High. "Fry them!"
"With pleasure!" The tiger's body sparked before unleashing a blast of lightning, which shot towards the Riders and forced them to dodge the attack. At the same time, the lightning hit one of the gas plugs and blew it off. It was a miracle the gas didn't light, as it began to flood into the room.
Frill took this chance to take flight and before the Riders could stop him, he shot out of the window with the jar.
"Get back here!" Shifter yelled, about to take off after him. But before he could, he heard a cry and looked around to see the hostages in pain. Whatever magic had them, appeared to be constricting around them. If they didn't do something, they would all be crushed.
"Let them go!" Morphic cried, only for a bunch of Raptorians and Mimicreeps to run into the room and start attacking them.
The Riders were forced to fight back against them, the close quarters of the room making it difficult to properly get a hit in. The desks were all built into the floors, so they couldn't open the place up to really fight. The Mimicreeps and Raptorians were jumping about the place, slashing and leaping at them.
The Riders were forced on the defensive and couldn't strike back, as the villains kept their hostages between them so they couldn't attack them.
The hostages saw the trouble the heroes were in and realised that if they didn't find a way to stop this, things weren't going to go well. But there was nothing they could do. They could do nothing but swing their legs around wildly.
It was then that Fleur noticed a Bunsen burner, which had been lit during their experiments and somehow kept from falling over. Slowly, an idea formed in her head. It was a crazy plan, but it was better than nothing.
And with a mighty kick, she was able to send the devices flying across the table.
As soon as it hit a certain spot, a massive burst of fire suddenly appeared and slammed right into the Draggle. The gas that had been spraying into the monster's section had been ignited and now Draggle and High were being consumed by flames.
This made them both scream, staggering back and causing the magic holding the hostages to stop.
The students and Cadance all dropped, the lot staggering about as the Riders managed to knock the Mimicreeps and Raptorians away. Cadance quickly ran over to a wall and hit a red button, causing the gas to stop as she closed the main gas line.
This stopped the fire from hitting the monsters, a small price to pay for not having her school burned down. And as Draggle and High recovered, Morphic took out his blaster and started shooting them. "Get out of here!" He told Cadance and the students, who didn't argue and ran for the window.
Shifter and E-Quest helped them out, Shifter spotting the retreating form of Frill in the distance. "What did he get away with?" He asked, turning to E-Quest.
"It looked like some kind of gem," the other Rider stated.
Sugarcoat spoke up. "They called it an Infinigem Fragment." That seemed to get E-Quest's attention.
"Are you serious? You're sure they said Infinigem?" They nodded, as the Rider looked worried. "No. This is bad. Really, really bad. We need to get that fragment back." Shifter didn't need to hear anymore and quickly took out one of his Mimicores.
"FLIGHT!"
"Shape Shift!" He cried out, as he replaced his Mimicores and closed the draw.
"MIMIC! OWL!" The armour around his body began to melt before changing to a transparent yellow colour, then began reshaping itself before hardening to reveal Shifter's owl themed form. "Flying through the sky, seeking prey with all seeing vision!"
In that moment, Morphic leapt out of the window and shot back into it as he did. He spotted Shifter's wings spread as he took to the air, chasing after Frill whilst Draggle and High began to make their way to the window.
"Get them out of here!" He told E-Quest, pointing to Cadance and the students. E-Quest nodded and began to lead them away, as Morphic took out another Mimicore and activated it.
"RUSH!"
Morphic replaced the Mimicores and as the monsters leapt through the window, he closed the draw. "Mega Morph!"
"MIMIC! COYOTE!" The armor around his body began to melt and change from blue to a bright red colour, the amber slimming down before solidifying to form a thinner more streamlined armour. Now in his coyote form, Morphic summoned his claws and got ready for a fight. "Howling velocity, increasing the tearing power of its fangs"
High growled as she rushed towards Morphic, who responded by also shooting forward at high speed. The two began fighting at hyper sonic speed, both turning into nothing but a blur as they collided.
E-Quest quickly led the others to safety. And once they were safely out of the school grounds, the Rider turned back to the fight and saw the blurring images of Morphic and High. He also saw Draggle, who rushed forward with her staff held up.
"You're mine!" The Rider charged and as he got close enough, he swung his armored legs around. But before he could make contact, Draggle suddenly vanished. "Wow!" He almost lost his balance, but managed to stay upright as he looked around. When he did, he spotted Draggle a short distance away.
"Come now," Draggle laughed. "You haven't forgotten my personal magic, have you?"
E-Quest frowned, "space magic." He knew it was just as tricky as Reeka's time magic, the two together being a deadly combination. "Doesn't matter. I've beaten you guys before and I can do it again."
Draggle chuckled, "we'll see."
At the same time, Frill was flying across the city in search of a good spot to warp back to the base.
He had just spotted an area, when he suddenly felt a burning pain in his wing. "AUGH!" He looked up and saw the wing was burned, as an orange beam flew past him from behind. "What?" He forced himself to keep flying through the pain and spun around, the sight of Shifter flying towards him being what greeted him.
"Give me that gem!" Shifter fired his Strike Form Shift Striker weapon, the lasers flying towards him at high speed.
The Mimic General quickly summoned one of his swords and used it to slash at the lasers, knocking them away as he tried to escape. But Shifter was the faster flyer and he got in close, shifting his weapon to its sword form and unleashing several super fast jabs.
One such jab, hit the jar in Frill's other hand and caused it to shatter. "NO!" He cried, trying to grab the gem that was inside it. But it slipped from his grasp and fell down onto the street below. This angered him and he summoned another sword, the Mimic dual wielding them against Shifter's one place.
The two fought one another as they flew around in random directions, slowly making their way towards the ground.
As they fought, they tried to locate the gemstone. But it had fallen somewhere out of sight and neither could spot it, at least not in the few seconds they allowed themselves to look away from the fight.
Frill crossed his blades and blocked Flash's downwards slash, the vulture using all his strength to push Shifter back. But as he flew back, Shifter changed his weapon to gun mode and fired several shots that struck the Mimic dead in the chest. "GYAH!" He was knocked back as well and crashed into the side of a building, whilst Shifter managed to keep himself from colliding with one.
Shifter prepared to take Frill out, as the Mimic fell to the ground in defeat. But before he could, a portal opened in front of Frill.
Shifter frowned as he prepared himself, as Greye and Reeka leapt out of the portal. The two monsters looked ready for battle, as Frill began to pick himself up. "You okay?" The peacock Mimic asked, as Frill used to wall to help himself up.
"I'll be fine. But I dropped the Infinigem." He turned to Shifter, "can you distract him whilst I search for it?"
"Go ahead," Greye stated. "I can handle this Rider, no problem."
Reeka laughed. "And I'm itching for some payback." She pointed her staff at him. "You ain't got no friends to help you out this time, Rider Boy. Prepare to feel the full power of the Time Witch, Reeka!" She suddenly unleashed a burst of lightning, Shifter barely managing to avoid at the last second before leaping into the air.
Greye took out his fan weapons and swung them through the air, unleashing his crescent blade attacks that Shifter used his Shift Striker to block and deflect. The Rider then dived down and tried to stab Greye, but Reeka pointed her staff at him and fired a beam of light that made him vanish.
Shifter struck the spot he had been in, but completely missed and staggered forward as Greye suddenly reappeared behind him and slashed at his back. "Augh!" He was thrown forward and rolled along the ground, Greye and Reeka chuckling as Shifter came to a stop.
Whilst this was happening, Frill staggered off to search for the Infinigem.
Back with the Rainbooms, they had moved over to a nearby park.
Most of the girls were just sitting around, whilst Sunset and Twilight were hard at work on Burst's magical cellphone. Thanks to some tools Twilight had in her backpack, of course she carried tools like that, they had managed to get the phone's casing off so they could work on the device's circuitry.
Spike, who was getting a belly rub from Rarity, watched them working. "Figure out how to fix that thing yet?"
Sunset frowned. "We're still figuring out what it's supposed to look like when it's fixed. This thing's not like anything that exists on Earth or Equestria." Twilight nodded, though her eyes never left the device.
Rainbow groaned, as she laid on the grass with her head staring at the clouds. "This sucks. Why can't we help?"
"The Riders are the ones best suited to handle the Mimics," Rarity pointed out. "And Morphic was right. if we tried to help, we could very well end up getting in the way and being used as hostages. I'd rather not get captured, thank you very much."
"A'm with Rainbow," Applejack told her. "We could still help."
"I thought we were helping," Pinkie pointed out. The girl was leaning against a nearby tree, her legs running up the trunk. "Twi-Twi and Sunny are fixing Burst's phone. If they get it to work, we can call for help."
"But we could help to," Rainbow stated. "I wanna fight those monsters."
"Well I don't," Fluttershy frowned. "And I can't. All I ever do in those fights is get in the way."
"Well my super speed lets me fight," Rainbow groaned against. "This is so lame. Who the heck decided the Riders were the ones who get to decide who gets to fight these things?"
"The fact that they're the only ones who can actually beat them," Sunset pointed out. "Our abilities work on Equestrian Threats."
"But that Reeka woman is from Equestria."
"Not our Equestria," Sunset stated. "E-Quest has a better chance of beating her than us. Right now, we need to wait for a moment when we're actually needed. Let the Riders handle things and if a situation calls for us to help, then we can fight." As she said that, she placed a new circuit into the device and it started powering up. "I think we fixed it!"
The others rushed over to them, as they replaced the casing and watched it boot up.
Twilight took the phone and tried to figure out what it could do. She quickly found it was programmed like a regular phone and had multiple different apps. And when she found one with a speed dial, she considered opening that one.
But before she could, they were suddenly blinded by a bright light. "What's happening?" Spike cried, as they all covered their eyes and looked away. As they did, a figure stepped out of the light. A figure that quickly spotted then and spoke in a voice that was oddly familiar.
"Where's E-Quest?" The light faded and everyone was shocked by what they saw.
Back with Morphic and E-Quest's battle, the two continued to fight their opponents with differing levels of difficulty.
Morphic and High were both in some form of stalemate, the two slashing at one another with their claws whilst moving at high speed. Morphic tried to stab High, but the Mimic swung her claws upwards to knock his claws away before she tried to shoot lightning at him. But Morphic was able to jump back and spin out of the way. And as High ran forward to deal a kick to his chest, he crossed his claws to block.
E-Quest's battle, was also even. The horse Rider swung his hammer at Draggle, but the monster kept warping around to avoid his attacks. "Coward!" He cried, as he raised his hammer up before slamming it down onto the ground with all his might.
The ground shook, but Draggle warped herself into the air so the shaking wouldn't affect her.
It did affect the other two, however, causing them both to be sent staggering out of control. The two both lost their balance and were sent rolling, E-Quest noticing this and flinching. "Sorry." As he said that, Draggle unleashed several lightning bolts that struck E-Quest before he had a chance to dodge them. "GYAH!"
As he crashed to the ground, Morphic pushed himself up and saw Draggle falling towards the ground.
Before High could pick herself up, the Rider shot forward and super speed. Too fast for Draggle to react. And as she landed, he reached her and slammed his claws into her. "Gyah!" She fell to the ground and Morphic quickly hooked his claws into her dress, using it to drag her along the ground at high speed.
She cried out in pain, unable to focus through the pain to warp away. And eventually, Morphic stopped and she was thrown through the air until she crashed into the school's outer wall.
As she fell to the ground, High picked herself up. But before she could attack, she heard a loud voice fill the air alongside a bright light. "Magical power of the cosmos, unleashed using a single mighty horn! UNICORN POWER!"
She turned towards E-Quest and saw he was now in his Unicorn Armor, the pony turned human slamming his horn into the ground. And the next thing High knew, the ground around her shot up and created a bunch of rock spikes that slammed into her from all sides.
She screamed out in pain, trying to use her electricity to break free. But the rock simply absorbed it without issue. And as she struggled, E-Quest's horn flashed red and blue and he thrust it forward to unleash a blast of ice and fire.
The heat from the flames, caused the ice to melt and she was suddenly doused with water. And that had the desired result, as she screamed whilst being zapped by her own power. And after a few moments, she went limp and the energy stopped.
E-Quest and Morphic smirked at them, as they prepared to finish them off. But at the last moment, Draggle suddenly recovered and grabbed her staff. And in the blink of an eye, she warped over to High and grabbed her. "NO!" E-Quest tried to blast her, but Draggle and High warped away before he could.
Morphic ran over to him. "How far can Draggle teleport?"
"Not far. But far enough to not be seen by us. Unless we know which way she went, there's no way we'll be able to find her." He shook his head. "We've got more important things to worry about. We need to go help Shifter. If the Mimics have that gem, things are not gonna go well."
"Got it." Morphic ran off whilst E-Quest changed into his Pegasus Form. He took to the air and flew in the direction Flash went, the Rider praying he managed to get the gem back before Frill escaped.
Greye launched his crescent blades again, Shifter flying around as best he could to avoid them all. He then dived down and as he did, he swapped his Mimicores in his Shift Striker.
"PIERCE!" The weapon transformed and as he landed, he pointed the futuristic rifle forward and fired. The green spikes shot at Reeka, but she was able to avoid them all. Shifter frowned, hating her ability to see the future.
"You can't dodge every attack!" He cried, as Greye leapt at him and tried to slash at him with his fans. He dodged them all and kept firing, Greye deflecting them whilst Reeka dodged easily.
"My temporal magic may be limited," the witch stated. "But it has its uses." She tapped her staff on the ground and in the blink of an eye, she jumped to the side before a second one appeared. The two then split into four and four into eight.
"What the heck?" Shifter had no idea how this was working, the Reeka army laughing as they all pointed their staffs at him. Moments later, bolts of lightning exploded out of them and flew towards Shifter.
The Rider's eyes widened and he leapt into the air, dodging the multiple bolts. But as he did, Greye sent his crescent blades at him and they exploded as they slammed into him.
"GYAH!" He was knocked backwards and crashed into the ground, his Shift Striker falling from his grasp as he laid there. All the while, Frill kept searching the area for the dropped gemstone.
Shifter sighed, as he rolled onto his front and pushed himself up. But as he did, Greye suddenly appeared in front of him and swung his fan around to cut at the Rider. He cried out, trying to get away, but a Reeka unleashed a blast of magic that grabbed him and lifted him into the air.
Before he could attempt to break free, he was suddenly swung around and smashed into the ground. "Augh!" He was then lifted up and slammed into another part of the ground, then another and another and another. And finally, Shifter was swung around and thrown towards Greye.
The peacock Mimic did some kind of dance and as Shifter was thrown at him, he spun around and slashed the Rider with both his fan blades. This was followed by the other seven Reekas, launching fireballs that struck him in the back and sent him flying through the air.
Shifter screamed in pain and crashed into the ground, his suit glowing before it exploded off of him.
Flash moaned as he laid on the ground, whilst Greye and the Reeka army all chuckled at his defeat. Seven of the eight Reeka clones vanished, the last one getting ready to finish him off. "I might not have been able to defeat E-Quest, but destroying you will be quite satisfying."
"Hold on," Greye told her. "My master has plans for this Rider. We're taking him back with us." Reeka frowned, but didn't argue.
It was at that moment, Frill spotted something glistening.
He looked around and spotted a trash can that was anchored to the ground, elevated off the ground by a metal cage. And under that cage was the Infinigem Shard, which the sun was reflecting off. "Yes!" He ran over to it and pulled the crystal out from underneath, as Flash simply lay there looking pretty beat up.
Greye and Reeka laugh at his pitiful state, both looking ready to take him down. "It's over, Shifter!" Greye prepared to launch his attack at the downed Rider, as Frill moved over to open a portal to escape through.
"Finish him off and let's get out of here!" He walked towards it, as he smiled at the gem in his grasp.
However, just as he was about to walk through the portal, a blast of green fire suddenly came flying at him. The Mimic barely had time to respond, as it slammed into his chest and exploded. He cried out, as he was thrown away from the portal and the gem shard was thrown from his grasp.
Flash, Greye and Reeka were surprised by this, then turned towards the source of the green fire. That source was someone that was slowly moving towards them and as they did, Flash's eyes went wide.
It was another Rider, with a suit similar to E-Quest.
This suit was purple in colour, with a green line running down the front of it. The arms were also green, with the entire suit having scale patterns sewn into it. On top of the suit was purple armor, with white trim. The armor covered his chest and had green spikes sticking out of it in several sections. The same armor could also be seen on his arms, lower legs and feet, with the feet having claw designs running along them.
In his right hand, which was purple on the back and green at the palm, was a long purple lance with an arrowhead tip and green spikes covering it. This gave it the appearance of a tail, whilst his left hand had a large purple dragon head surrounding it, which had green spikes running along the top.
His helmet was similar to E-Quest, but was shaped to look like the head of a dragon. His visor was within the dragon's open mouth, which had a bunch of metal lines running down it that resembled a knight's helmet.
Finally, around his waist, a purple Driver like E-Quest's could be seen. Inside of it was an open crest, with the images of a dragon and a knight side by side.

The Rider stood there, looking ready for a fight. As he did, he struck a pose. "My flames of pride are gonna burn you!"
Reeka gasped. "Dragus. What's he doing here!?"
"Dragus?" Flash turned back to the Rider, remembering Burst talking about that Rider. "Is he Burst's partner?"
Dragus looked around and spotted the gem, the Rider moving over to it. But Greye frowned. "No you don't!" He ran at the Rider and slashed his fan at him, which Dragus blocked using his tail lance.
"Out of my way!" He pushed Greye back before dealing a kick to his chest, knocking the Mimic back. Flash watched him in amazement, as he held the long handle of the weapon with both his hand and the dragon mouth.
He swung the lance around with incredible skill, the tip slicing through the air threatening to shred anything that touched it.
Reeka slammed her staff into the ground and time travelled herself to the same spot several times, creating multiple doubles that charged towards Dragus. They all swung their staff at him, but the Rider was able to deflect them all without much issue as he kept himself from being surrounded.
The Reeka army then unleashed a blast of lightning towards him, Dragus leaping back to avoid the bolts. He then landed and opened his dragon head fist, pulling it back before launching it forward. "Dragon Blast!" Green flames exploded out of the mouth and flew towards the witches in a wave.
Reeka gasped and warped herself a few seconds into the future, her doubles getting hit by the flames and destroyed. And as she returned to the timeline, Dragus charged forward and slammed his dragon fist into her chest. "Gyah!" She was thrown back, as Frill and Greye began to pick themselves up.
Frill spotted the gem and growled before spreading his wings and unleashing a bunch of feather darts towards Dragus, only for the Rider to thrust his gauntlet arm forwards. In doing so, the dragon head suddenly glowed before transforming into a large shield.
This shield blocked the feathers and allowed Dragus to charge forward, slashing at Frill before the Mimic could summon his blades to defend himself. The lance sliced his chest open and made him scream, whilst Greye attempt to slash at Dragus with his fans.
But Dragus blocked the fans with his shield before a blast of fire exploded out of the middle, almost setting Greye ablaze and forcing him back.
Reeka saw this and began charging up power, as Dragus spun towards her. His shield and lance vanished in a burst of green flames, as he reached down and shut the Driver's handles before pulling them open again.
"DRAGONICPOWER!OVERDRIVE!"
His body exploded into green flames, which all flew down and spread around his right foot. And before his opponents could do anything, he leapt into the air and swung his blazing foot around. As he did, the fire shot off and took the shape of a giant dragon head.
Reeka unleashed her spell and fired a blast of lightning towards the dragon head, the two attacks colliding and creating an explosion that knocked Reeka, Greye and Frill flying back.
Dragus had summoned his dragon shield and used it to block the shockwave, protecting him whilst blowing something towards him. He felt it hit his foot and looked down, the infinigem shard resting at his feet whilst the three villains moaned.
At the same moment, Morphic arrived whilst E-Quest flew overhead. "No way!" He cried, seeing Dragus on the ground. Meanwhile, Morphic ran over to Flash and helped him up.
"You okay?" He asked, as E-Quest and Dragus approached.
"Yeah," Flash nodded as the monsters picked themselves up. "I'm good." He took out his Mimicore, "let's do this." He was just about to transform, but Frill spoke up first.
"We're leaving." Greye and Reeka looked to him in shock.
"You can't be serious," Greye stated. "Just because there's more of them."
"This isn't a battle we can win." A portal opened up, "now come on." He stepped through the portal and Greye frowned before following, Reeka still looking shocked.
"But...but the gem?"
"Leave it!" He reached over and grabbed her, pulling her towards the portal. Before Reeka could pull away, they were through the portal and completely vanished. Moments later, the portal closed and the Riders sighed in relief.
Flash put his Mimicore away, whilst Morphic removed his and his suit disappeared. E-Quest took this moment to look them over, finally able to see what they looked like. "So now you're okay revealing who you are?"
"Well there's nobody else around," Flash stated. "And I was getting a little stuffy in those suits." Shining nodded, as E-Quest and Dragus removed the crests from their Drivers. Doing so caused their suits to glow before disappearing, revealing the pair.
Flash and Shining were focused on the new arrival, who turned out to be a purple skinned teen with green hair. He was rather muscular in appearance and he was wearing a black white and blue pants, with a purple leather jacket over it.
The three stared at him in amazement, with Burst also looking shocked. "Spike? What happened to you?"
"Spike?" Flash and Shining asked, as they looked the teen over and suddenly realised he did resemble Twilight's doggy companion. They then remembered that in Sunset's Equestria, Spike was a dragon. Did that mean Burst's Spike was also a dragonoid?
"I have no idea," Spike looked himself over. "I picked up your signal and had the princesses open a portal to this world. When I stepped through it, I was looking at a bunch of girls that had your rider comm. Then I discovered I'd transformed into...this." He looked himself over and appeared almost freaked out. "They explained what happened and I sensed some kind of magical stone." He looked at the gem, "it must have been this thing."
"You were always sensitive to gems containing magic." Burst looked around, "those girls anywhere nearby?"
"No. I left them before they could follow me and get in trouble." He then turned to Flash and Shining, "so who are these guys? New Riders?"
"Yup," Burst patted the two on their shoulders, "meet Flash and Shining. Also known as Kamen Riders Shifter and Morphic. Their enemies have teamed up with Reeka and Draggle. If we wanna stop them, we're gonna have to work together."
"Alright," Spike nodded as he held up the gem. "On the plus side. We managed to get this before they could escape." Flash and Shining nodded, though they wondered what exactly that gem could do.
But before they could ask, the two's heads suddenly exploded with their Mimic Sense. They were also made dizzy by the sensation, as they looked around for the course. But by the time they realised what was happening, it was too late.
Suddenly, a burst of purple lightning shot between them. An explosion followed and the four Riders cried out, as they were all thrown in different directions.
As Spike hit the ground, the gem fell from his grasp and bounced away. As it did, the purple lightning curved around and flew towards the gem. When it stopped, High was there and quickly grabbed the gem. "Thanks. It's just what I wanted."
Flash and the other Riders looked up in shock, the four trying to get up and stop her. But by the time they were back on their feet, a portal opened up behind her and High leapt inside. "NO!" Burst cried, as the portal closed. "This is bad. Really really bad."
"Why?" Flash asked. "What the heck does that gem do?"
"It's called the Infinigem," Burst explained. Spike looked shocked, clearly knowing what it was. "It's from my Equestria. Long ago, the first E-Quest shattered it and hid the pieces so its power couldn't be used. I guess one of the pieces must have been sent to this world."
Spike nodded. "According to legend, the Infinigem can amplify the magical ability of anypony that uses it. Their magic becomes so powerful, the impossible can even become possible. If Reeka and Draggle manage to remake it, they could break the laws of time and space."
In the Mimic Lair, High arrived with a smug grin on her face. "Order up. One Infinigem Fragment, with extra fries."
The other Mimics, Reeka and Draggle, all smiled as she stepped over to them. "I can't believe you managed to get it." Reeka rushed over to her and took the gem. "How?"
"We left," Frill stated. "Which meant those Riders let their guard down. I knew they would when I spotted High."
"Who cares how she got the gem," Maya stated. "What matters is we have it. And now we can restore the gem." She turned to Reeka, "you can restore the gem. Right?"
Reeka laughed as she held up the gem and Draggle pointed her staff at the jar containing the rest of the shards. The jar was opened and the shards flew out of it, floating in the air as Reeka used her magic to lift the final gem up. It floated over to the rest of the shards and they all started spiralling around one another, glowing as they did so.
Then, slowly, the pieces started slamming together and almost melting into one piece before hardening again. With each piece restored, the Infinigem took shape. And when the final piece melted into place, the gem was completely fixed and suddenly unleashed a burst of magic.
"THE INFINIGEM!" Reeka cheered, as the gem floated over to the sisters. They crossed their staffs and connected to the gem, allowing its power to flow into them and grant them even more power. "Now, my time magic can open a portal to anywhen."
Draggle nodded. "And with my supercharged space magic, I can warp to anywhere in the universe with perfect precision." The sisters shared a look before nodding and pointing their staffs at a way, the light flying off of them and slamming into it. This caused a portal to form, which swirled around as the witches remembered a specific time and place they wanted to open it up to.
The Mimics watched, as the portal stabilised and suddenly pulled something through it. Or someone.
She was a creature just like Reeka and Draggle, who looked like a humanoid with thick monstrous skin that was wearing blue and purple robes. She was smaller than Reeka and Draggle, having a hunch back with a magic staff being used to keep her from falling over. Around her neck, dangling off of it, was a necklace that had a downwards pointing crescent moon.
She had a hood on over her head, blocking most of her red frizzy hair. And on top of the hood was a curved bone, the points sticking upwards. Her face was crinkly and looked terribly monstrous, with a crooked pointed nose and large mouth that had a single fang sticking out the left side of her bottom jaw.
The creature staggered forward and looked around, clearly confused where the heck she was. But then she noticed Reeka and Draggle, the two looking at her with tears in their eyes. "MOTHER!" They both cried, as the spell ended and they rushed over to her.
"Reeka. Draggle. What happened?"
"Mother," Reeka hugged her. "You died. E-Quest destroyed you." The woman looked horrified. "We couldn't get there in time to save you. We're sorry."
"That's right," she nodded. "I was just about to be hit by that foolish pony's attack."
"We pulled you out of that moment," Draggle explained. "Milliseconds before you were destroyed. We brought you back to this point, thanks to the Infinigem." Hydia's eyes widened as she looked up at the gemstone, then smiled.
"You girls have truly done well. Thank you, for saving me." She then remembered what she had just been saved from and her face became dark. "Kamen Rider E-Quest. You will pay for what you've done. You and all those that stand with you. You will face the full power of the Infinigem."
Author's Note
Boom. We have the main villain of the film. We have the secondary Rider, who turns out to be Spike, and we have the main macguffin of this story. The Infinigem, able to supercharge any magic. One can only wonder what'll happen with that.
Just something I thought would be interesting to state. The original name for Spike's Rider Form was actually Drake, but then I learned there was already a Kamen Rider called that. He wasn't even Dragon Themed, why'd they have to give him that name?
