In Canterlot park, the Rainbooms were still waiting to hear what had happened.

After the human version of Spike, which still weirded them out, left to chase after something, they had once again been forced to wait there. Everyone was mostly doing what they had been doing before, with the only exception being Twilight and Sunset.

Twilight was on her phone, trying to get hold of her brother and ask what was happening on his end. Meanwhile, Sunset had her journal out and was writing to Princess Twilight. To say she had a lot to write about was an understatement.

As she finished writing everything into her book, Applejack noticed something. "They're back!" They looked around and saw the four Riders making their way towards them.

Shifter and Morphic were once again in the Strike and Blitz armor, whilst Burst and Spike were in their civilian forms. "Did you stop them?" Twilight asked, clearly curious what had happened. But Burst and Spike's expressions didn't bode well. "What happened?"

"We managed to save the people they attacked," Shifter explained. "They were at Crystal Prep." The girl's eyes went wide, as Twilight took out her phone.

"Cadance..."

"She's alright," Morphic assured her. "We managed to get them all to safety before anything happened. But the Mimics and witches managed to get away with something. A gem that the Crystal Prep students seemed to have. A gem from Burst's Equestria."

"What?" Sunset turned to the Rider, "so your world uses this place as a magical dumping ground too?"

"Sounds like it," Burst nodded. "Though from what I know, the Infinigem shard was the only thing ever sent to another dimension."

"Infinigem?" Rarity asked. "What's that?"

Burst took a deep breath. "Remember what I told you, about how my Driver was created?"

"From the meteor?" Rainbow nodded, turning to Spike. "Is that how your Driver was made?"

"Yup," Spike nodded. "Only mine was made by a dragon craftsman, who used it to create the Driver as a way to counter the ponies having it. In the past, dragons and ponies weren't the best of friends. It wasn't until recently that..." He shook his head, "never mind. We're getting off topic."

"Right," Burst nodded. "Anyway. The Infinigem came from that meteor. It was the core and it's possible the meteor's substance was made so strong by its power. The Infinigem has the ability to supercharge the magical abilities of anypony that uses it. But if the user uses it for too long, the power drives them insane."

"Like the Alicorn Amulet." Sunset wondered if the magical item was created from something similar.

"The Infinigem was discovered by the same wizard that forged my Driver. He quickly realised its powers, but didn't realise its corrupting effects. And before he could uncover it, his student stole the Infinigem so that he could gain the same level of magic power as his master. it worked and he became the most powerful Unicorn the world had ever seen."

"But it drove him mad," Applejack realised.

Burst nodded. "He started changing the world to suit what made him happy. He made it impossible to create rain and snow, because he hated those weathers. He turned anyone that crossed him into animals and if someone got him really mad, he would wipe them out of existence."

Everyone frowned, thinking this unicorn really had gone nuts.

"It was up to the first E-Quest to battle and defeat the unicorn, eventually shattering the Infinigem into multiple pieces. Those pieces were then given to different ponies, so they could hide them in all four corners of the world. The wizard took the final piece and used all his magic to open a portal into another world, hoping that would make remaking the Infinigem impossible."

"But it wasn't," Shifter spoke up. "What are the chances Reeka and Draggle managed to gather the other pieces of this gem?"

"I'm willing to bet they're high," Spike spoke up. "Those two can be pretty lazy when it comes to their big plans. They wouldn't have wasted so much energy opening a portal to this world, if they didn't already have the other pieces of the gem."

"So they have the Infinigem," Twilight frowned. "And it gives them the power to do almost anything. That's not very reassuring."

"What do you think they'll do with it?" Pinkie asked, as everyone wondered just that. They couldn't be sure, but the Riders had a feeling they weren't going to enjoy what would happen next.

In the Mimic Lair, Hydia stared at the Infinigem in practical disbelief.

"I never thought I'd see the completed Infinigem," she told her daughters. "When we found the first shard, I was curious about collecting all the pieces and using it to destroy E-Quest. But I never thought you'd be able to find them all."

Reeka and Draggle smiled. "After E-Quest destroyed you, Draggle and I were terrified and didn't think we could continue without you. But then I saw the gem shard and realised there was a way to bring you back."

"You must have spent a long time searching for it," Hydia smiled. "I'm proud of you girls." Reeka and Draggle both smiled, only to then hear a coughing sound.

They looked over at the Mimics, who clearly weren't interested in this family reunion. "As touching as this all is," Maya started. "Don't forget who the ones that got you that final piece were."

"That's right," Frill nodded. "You two weren't able to live up to your side of the bargain. So until you do, I think it's only fair if we hold onto the Infinigem. I'm sure there's a way we can convert its magical power into a source of energy for our equipment."

Hydia frowned. "What are these creatures, exactly?"

"Mimics," Reeka explained. "They capture other creatures and copy their abilities. Draggle and I tried to get to the world they're trying to conquer, but ended up here instead. So we had no choice but to partner with them."

"Well, we won't need them anymore. They'd just get in the way." The Mimics all tensed up, sensing a betrayal was about to happen. "Thank you for your service, but we'll be taking it from here."

"You dare!?" Greye rushed forward, but Hydia raised her staff and unleashed blasts of energy that pushed the Mimics backwards. Reeka then stepped forward and whilst still connected to the Infinigem, she slammed her staff forward and unleashed a wave of energy.

That wave flew towards the Mimics and hit them, along with all the Mimicreeps in the room. And as soon as it touched them, the monsters froze in place. They were like statues, the lot not even blinking and some were in a position where they should have fallen over.

Hydia whistled. "Not bad. The Infinigem really is strong. Your stasis spell normally lasted only a few seconds in the past."

"I feel so much power," Reeka laughed. "If we had had this before, E-Quest and his friends wouldn't have stood a chance." The others nodded, glad that they had it now. "So, mother. I know you just got here, but you must have a plan for dealing with E-Quest and those other fools."

Hydia hummed. "I might have an idea. Lets get to this world you told me about. Once there, we'll get to work making E-Quest and his friends pay." The sisters nodded before Draggle opened a portal, the process easy now that she had the Infinigem.

The three stepped through and once the portal was closed, Hydia placed her staff on the gem and began to draw upon its power. "First, we need to make the connection with this gem long distance. Right now, we're only powerful so long as we're in close proximity to it."

"That's how the first E-Quest defeated the evil unicorn," Draggle remembered the story. "He tricked him into warping away from the gem and allowed the wizard to defeat him."

"Exactly," Hydia nodded. "But I might have a way to fix that. However, we need to make sure nobody else shows up to get in our way." Once she had connected to the Infinigem, she raised her staff and unleashed a blast of red energy straight into the sky.

As soon as it was high enough, the energy exploded into a wave that flew out in all directions. A red light remained behind after the wave, turning the sky crimson.

Back in the park, Burst and Spike had just finished explaining the situation. As they did, Sunset's journal started glowing to show Princess Twilight had responded.

But then, everyone noticed the red light flying overhead.

"What the?" They watched it fly off and all had a feeling something bad was gonna happen. As such, Shifter changed into his Flight form and flew up. Rainbow went with him and once they reached the red light, Shifter tried to touch it but got a zap.

Turning their attention towards the wave, they saw it was beginning to curve and finally hit the ground. And with Shifter's enhanced eyesight, he realised the entire town had been trapped inside.

"We're in a dome!" He stated, as he and Rainbow flew down. "The entire town's been trapped inside a dome. We can't escape."

"Why would anyone trap us in a dome?" Twilight asked, as Sunset suddenly noticed her journal wasn't glowing anymore. And as she opened it, she noticed Princess Twilight's sentence had been cut off halfway through. It was almost like something had cut the magic halfway through copying it into the book.

"No way," Sunset whispered. "It can't be."

"What can't be?" Rainbow asked, only for Sunset to break out in a run and head out of the park. The others were shocked by this and ran after her as well, the lot heading towards CHS of all places.

Along the way, they ran past people who were panicking due to the appearance of the dome. Many of them spotted the Riders and begged them to do something, Shifter and Morphic promising to find an answer to what was going on.

Eventually, they arrived at the school and Sunset ran up to the portal leading to Equestria.

She placed her hand on it, but it wouldn't let her through. "NO!" She gasped, hitting it several times. "The portal to Equestria's not working."

"You think this dome has something to do with it?" Twilight asked, Sunset nodding.

"Now let's not panic," Rarity spoke up. "Twilight was using the journal, so maybe she just hasn't returned it to the device that opens the portal."

Sunset shook her head. "When my old journal was filled up, we swapped to new ones and Twilight's using the old one to keep the portal open."

"Okay," Rarity was a little more worried now. "But we're not entirely sure this dome's the reason for it being closed. I'm just saying, let's not jump to conclusions." The others agreed, as Burst turned to Spike.

"Did you bring it?" Spike nodded and reached into his jacket before taking out a strange round device. It was some kind of medal, with a red gemstone in the middle of it.

"What's that?" The puppy Spike asked, as his Rider counterpart held the medal up.

"A magic talisman," Burst explained. "It has the power to open a portal to other dimensions."

"Really?" Twilight gasped, as Rider Spike kept holding the talisman up. "Nothing's happening."

"Which means Sunset was right," Morphic realised. "This dome must be blocking interdimensional travel."

Shifter nodded. "But why would Reeka and Draggle do this?" The others were wondering the same thing, but both Burst and Spike had an idea.

"I'm betting they're following Hydia's example." Spike put the talisman away. "She could never be trusted. As soon as she didn't need anyone anymore, she would stab them in the back and make sure they weren't a problem anymore. Guess those two learned to do it as well."

"So they betrayed the Mimics?" Pinkie asked. "And put this dome up to keep them from getting their own back."

"Exactly," Burst nodded. "I didn't even know they had this kind of magic. Guess the Infinigem made them more powerful than we realised." But as he said that, a beeping came from Spike and Twilight.

The two pulled out a pair of magical phones, Twilight handing hers to Burst who opened it up. "What's the alarm for?" Sunset asked, as Burst and Spike frowned.

"Raptorian alarm," Burst explained. "Our Twilight made it when Hydia started attacking Equestria with them."

"Those things can detect Raptorians?" Shifter asked, as Burst and Spike projected something from their phones. It was a holographic map of Canterlot, with three areas glowing red.

"What?" Spike asked. "They're attacking three areas at once?"

"Reeka and Draggle shouldn't be able to command that many in so many places."

"They do have the Infinigem," Morphic pointed out. "I think all your old assessments of them might not count anymore. We need to stop them, now."

"Right." Burst and Spike took out their Drivers and attached them to their waists, then took out their Crests and activated them.

"EARTH PONY!"

"DRAGON!"

The pair held the crest up and created the energy shields, which floated above their heads as they placed the devices into their Drivers. As they did, the energy forms of a horse and a dragon appeared above the shields. "HENSHIN!" They slammed the Drivers' handles into the devices and opened the crests, causing the shield to fly down onto them.

In a burst of light, they were both transformed and the energy creatures exploded into streams of light, which formed their armor whilst their Drivers spoke up.

"Power of the Earth, unleashed in a single destructive kick! EARTH PONY POWER!"

"Roarofanunstoppablebeast, unleashingitsfurywithamightybladeofflame!DRAGONICPOWER!"

Shifter and Morphic summoned their bikes, whilst E-Quest and Dragus took out more of their crests. "Summon, Steed Cycle!"

"Summon, Drago Chopper!" Twin portals appeared and from out of it, the armored horse galloped out along with some kind of purple serpentine dragon covered in armor. The two quickly transformed, the dragon's arms gaining a wheel between them whilst another wheel appeared under its tail. The rest of it reshaped into a bike, just like the Steed Cycle.

Once all four bikes were summoned, the Riders leapt onto them as Rainbow rushed over to them. "I'm gonna fight too." The Riders turned to her, as the rest of the Rainbooms did the same. "You guys should handle two of those spots in pairs. Let us take on the third."

"It's too dangerous," Morphic told them.

"It's just as dangerous for you," Twilight told him. "This might not be the same Equestrian Magic, but it's still Equestrian Magic. We have way more experience dealing with it than you." Morphic sighed as he turned to the other Riders.

The three all nodded and he couldn't argue. "Fine. You deal with one. Dragus and I will deal with another."

"Which means it's you and me," Shifter told E-Quest.

"Alright," he gave him a thumbs up. "Let's do this thing." The Riders all revved their engines and shot off towards the battle, the Rainbooms heading in another direction. The Riders shot through the streets and once they reached the spot they had to split up, they nodded at one another and went in two separate directions.

People were screaming in terror, as the Raptorians ran around the place attacking whoever got too close.

At the same time, Reeka was also there and still felt the power of the Infinigem flowing through her. Even though she should have been too far away to really get any benefit from it. She unleashed a blast of lightning, three times stronger than any she had used before. The energy caused the buildings around her to explode, as she laughed in delight.

She then looked down at her staff, which now had a glowing rune etched into it. One that her mother had engraved, which granted her the long distance connection she needed. "This feels amazing!" She watched a Raptorian grab a civilian. "So much pain and suffering. It's so amazing!"

"It won't feel amazing much longer!" Suddenly, a blue blur shot past her and slammed a foot into the Raptorian. The beast squawked, as it was thrown backwards and the woman it held was released.

Rainbow grabbed the woman and ran her to a safe distance, as Reeka looked around to see the rest of the Rainbooms running towards her. They all had serious looks, as Fluttershy and Sunset helped those injured to escape whilst the others got into a fighting stance.

"I was wondering who would show up. What a disappointment. I got the peanut gallery."

"Who you calling peanuts?" Rainbow asked, as she arrived next to the others. "When we're done with you, you're gonna wish Shifter or the others were the ones that came here." Reeka clearly didn't think so, as she pointed her staff at the lot of them.

The Raptorians all charged, with the girls getting into a fighting stance. Rainbow was the first to charge in, using her super speed to slam her feet into them whilst Applejack ran forward and threw the strongest punch she could.

Pinkie and Rarity threw their attacks at the Raptorians, cutting into them or blowing them up so they were knocked backwards. And once they were on the ground, Twilight picked them up in her magic and threw them away.

Reeka watched them fight against her horde and had to admit, they were strong. But thanks to her connection to the infinigem, her power vastly outmatched theirs. She would let them tire themselves out, then go in to take them out herself.

In another part of Canterlot, Draggle and her Raptorians were also causing mayhem.

The witch monster laughed, as she spun around with glee seeing all the people looking absolutely terrified. She hadn't had this much fun in a long time. And she hoped the fun times continued.

But at that moment, she heard a pair of engines and looked around to see Dragus and Morphic were racing towards them. Morphic fired his Blitz Blaster and gunned down several Raptorians, whilst the mouth of Dragus' dragon bike opened up and unleashed a burst of fire towards several more.

The Raptorians cried, as they were blasted back or burned up. The two Riders then leapt off their bikes and jumped into the middle of a Raptorian horn, Dragus summoning his lance to start slashing at them. Morphic punched and kicked several down, blasting any that tried to hit him from behind.

Draggle frowned, as she watched the Riders make quick work of her army. But she wasn't worried. "I have the power of the Infinigem. I can't lose." As the Riders knocked several more away, she raised her staff and unleashed a blast of fire towards them.

Dragus saw this and leapt in front of Morphic, summoning his shield and using it to block the flames. As he did, Morphic spun around and shot down the rest of the Raptorians before turning his focus on Draggle.

Dragus shrank his shield down into his gauntlet and the two launched their attacks towards her, lasers and green fireballs shooting towards Draggle. But the witch managed to teleport herself up onto the top of a nearby building, the attacks hitting a bunch of Raptorians instead.

Draggle watched as the Riders charged in to attack some more Raptorians, but she quickly teleported her monsters behind the Riders and mentally ordered them to attack. They did so and the Riders were surprised by this, getting struck in the back and knocked forward.

Draggle laughed and started warping her monsters to random spots around the Riders, making it difficult for the pair to counter. "This is just too much fun."

Shifter and E-Quest soon arrived at the final area the Raptorians were attacking.

The dog bird hybrids looked around and let out a howl/squawk, as the Riders jumped off their bikes and prepared for battle. Shifter was still in his Flight Form and quickly inserted his Strike Core into his Shift Striker, morphing it into the pistol slash rapier.

E-Quest summoned his hammer and the pair charged forward, Shifter blasting several with quick laser shots before swapping his weapon to sword mode. They quickly cut and smashed their way through the hybrid monsters and kicked several more away, the Raptorians not standing a chance against the Riders. However, E-Quest did notice something.

"These things are a lot stronger than they normally are."

"Really?" Shifter asked, stabbing a Raptorian three times before it exploded.

"Yeah." He smashed another away and after a few moments, it picked itself up again. "They usually go pop after one hard hit. Something's amping up their defence power." Several charged at him and he quickly slammed his hammer into the ground, sending out a shockwave that should have destroyed them but just sent them flying backwards.

Shifter used his wings to knock several back before leaping into the air, changing his Shift Striker back to gun mode as he fired it several times. And just like E-Quest said, they took several laser shots before going boom.

E-Quest leapt over some more, slamming his feet into several before he landed and threw his hammer at them.

The weapons spun through the air and knocked down several, blowing up a few more, then curved back around until it landed back in Flash's hand. "Did Reeka or Draggle use the Infinigem to reinforce them?"

"No, they didn't." E-Quest's eyes widened, as he slowly turned in the direction of a voice he hadn't heard in a long time. "i did." A figure stepped out of the shadows of a nearby alleyway and chuckled as she stared at the Kamen Rider. "Hello, E-Quest. Been a long time. For you, I mean. For me, it feels just like I was fighting you yesterday."

"That's impossible," E-Quest cried. "You can't be here!"

"Oh, but I am!" She smiled, as Shifter landed beside him.

"Who is that?"

"Hydia." Shifter turned to him in shock.

"What? I thought you destroyed her already." But then, Hydia laughed as more Raptorians attacked. The Riders quickly fought back, as Hydia kept cackling.

"I almost was. But thanks to my daughters, I was saved at the literal last second." She snapped her fingers and the Infinigem appeared in her hand, E-Quest seeing this and quickly knocking the Raptorians around him away.

"I beat you once. I'll beat you again!" With that, he rushed towards her. But Hydia didn't look worried.

She tapped her staff on the ground and the Infinigem unleashed a bunch of energy into her staff. It then fired a beam of dark light, which slammed into E-Quest before he could react and was lifted into the air. He cried out, feeling the energy flowing into her and causing him serious damage.

"No!" Shifter cried, seeing his fellow Rider getting zapped before E-Quest was thrown away. "Burst!"

E-Quest slammed into the side of a building and as he fell to the ground, his suit exploded off of him and Burst landed with a cry of pain. Shifter quickly slashed at several Raptorians, knocking them back and allowing him to take flight. But before he could reach Burst, Hydia unleashed a blast of energy that almost hit him.

He was forced to pull back and as he did, Burst began to pick himself up. "So strong."

Hydia laughed. "With my new power, I'm more than a match for you." Burst frowned, clearly understanding just how strong his revived foe was.

"Well you should know just how strong I can become." He stood up and reached into his jacket. He then took out a shield Shifter hadn't seen before.

It was grey in colour and on its front was the picture of a black horse, but the black didn't come from its fur. It wasn't just a normal horse. It was a horse made out of some kind of black ink-like substance. And as Burst pressed the button, it unleashed a black light.

"UMBRUM!"

The teen pointed the shield upwards and the dark light shot off, creating a larger version of the shield floating above him made of black light. He then slotted it into his Driver, the device unleashing another stream of darkness which flew into the shield.

When it came out the other side, the light took the shape of the ink shadow horse on the front of the crest. The creature actually let out a neigh, the sound sending a shiver down Shifter's spine, as Burst took a deep breast and struck a pose. "HENSHIN!" With that, he slammed both hands into the handles and pushed them into the Driver.

This caused the shield to split down the middle and open up, revealing a figure in dark armor. At the same time, the dark light shield above him dropped down and the teen flew through the centre of it.

Once the dark light hit the ground, it exploded and the teen was covered in the black light. That light quickly faded to reveal Burst in a dark grey version of his rider suit, with red lens in the eyes.

The shadow horse then exploded into a bunch of shadows and started swirling around his body, forming black armor on his chest, shoulders, arms, and legs. And when the shadows faded, his form was revealed.

The armor wasn't as thick as his other three forms, with red lines covering sections on his chest, shoulders, upper legs and boots. He didn't have wings, an arm horn or strong leg armor. He did have a horn on his helmet, which was red in colour and curved. The whole appearance made him look rather sinister, as his Driver spoke up. "Darkness spread, engulfing all that touches it UMBRUM POWER!"

Shifter stared at him in amazement. "Wow." He watched, as E-Quest's Driver unleashed a light that flew out and took form.

E-Quest grabbed the light, as it took the shape of a fancy white long-sword with a horse's head on the crossguard, that went up the length of the blade. E-Quest gripped the handle, as he walked forward and the Raptorians charged. But before they could hit him, his body burst into a cloud of black mist.

Shifter could only watch, as the cloud began to fly through the crowd and caused the Raptorians to scream out before they exploded.

E-Quest then reappeared out of the cloud and started swinging his sword around to slice through the other ones. This form was obviously more powerful, as the Raptorians popped with a single cut. And when he wasn't slashing at them, he swung his leg around to kick others into exploding.

Shifter was finally pulled out of his amazement, as more Raptorians began to attack him.

As such, he quickly got to work fighting against them. He even switched out his Shift Striker Mimicore, using the Blade core and slashing at them the same way E-Quest was. All the while, Hydia watched and chuckled.

"Decided to use that form, have you? Well, you and I both know what dangers come with using it. Dangers I'm more than happy to exploit."

Morphic and Dragus kept fighting, the Raptorians standing no chance against the pair as they ripped their way through them.

Morphic fired at several more, blowing them up whilst Dragus stabbed his lance through some more. Then, Morphic took out another Mimicore and activated it. "TOUGH!" He spun around, kicking a Raptorian away as he slammed the draw closed.

"Mega Morph!" The lights on the belt turned purple.

"MIMIC! CROCODILE!" The armor quickly melted and reshaped, turning purple as it did. "Vice-like fangs and an impenetrable hide, crushing anything in its way." Armor settled, Morphic's tail saw revved and he started cutting through the Raptorians like thanksgiving turkeys.

Dragus knocked several back and pulled his gauntleted fist back before punching the air, unleashing blasts of fire that struck more Raptorians and destroyed them.

As the hybrids burned and popped, Draggle continued to watch and had had enough of sitting on the sidelines. As such, she warped into the thick of the fight. She appeared behind Morphic and slammed her staff into his back, making him grunt as he was knocked forward.

She then teleported in front of Dragus, taking him by surprise before zapping him with lightning.

As the Rider was knocked back, Draggle warped back over to Morphic. He tried to bite her with his alligator gauntlet, but she warped around it and dealt a kick to his side before teleporting away. She warped a few feet away and unleashed a stream of lightning, which hit the two Riders and sent them flying upwards.

Draggle then teleported above them and launched a bunch of fireballs, which exploded in their faces and sent them crashing to the ground.

"Augh!" Morphic hit the floor, Dragus slamming face first whilst Draggle teleported down to the ground. "She's strong."

"She's really not," Dragus stated as he pushed himself up. "Teleporting that much should have drained her dry. She's getting a power boost from somewhere, allowing her to teleport as much as she wants." They stood, as Draggle laughed and teleported again.

The Riders acted fast, leaping into the air as she suddenly appeared behind where Morphic had been.

She missed a lightning blast and Dragus tried to launch a fire stream down towards her, but she smirked before teleporting away. The pair landed and Draggle appeared behind Morphic, slamming her staff into his back.

The Rider staggered forward, not hurt but also not noticing the glowing mark that was now on the back of his suit.

He spun around and tried to launch a gator construct towards her, but she vanished again and it missed. And when she reappeared, Dragus ran at her and swung his lance around. But in a flash, she was suddenly replaced by Morphic.

"GYAH!" The Crocodile Rider yelled, staggering back from getting hit. "Hey!"

"Sorry," Dragus flinched. "Dang it. She must have marked you." He quickly spotted the mark of Morphic's back. "Not good. So long as you have that mark, she can swap places with you whenever she wants."

"Oh, great." Morphic frowned, as he tried to wipe the mark off his back. But it wouldn't come off. He had a feeling this was gonna be a problem.

Back with Shifter and E-Quest, the two Riders were making short work of the Raptorians.

E-Quest's Umbrum Form was doing most of the heavy lifting, allowing him to cut through the hybrids without much difficulty. And whenever one got close to attaching him, his form burst into shadows and he flew around to attack the monster from behind.

He kicked another away and slashed at several more, then turned his attention to Hydia.

"This ends now!" He charged at full speed, as Hydia slammed her staff into the ground and created a shield around her. The Rider slashed at it, but the sword didn't even scratch the forcefield. He then leapt forward and his arm sparked with red energy, which he thrust towards Hydia. But again, the shield didn't even look strained.

"Haa!" Hydia laughed. "The Infinigem has made me more powerful than ever. Even your dark side can't hope to defeat the power I now wield."

"We'll see about that!" He grabbed the weight on the end of the sword handle and pulled, causing it to come off but remained connected to the sword by a metal pole coming out of the handle. And as he let go, it returned to the sword as the whole thing lit up.

"HARMONICPOWER!OVERDRIVE!" His armor glowed and the dark light flew off of it and into the sword's blade, causing it to now glow black and golden light. He then pulled it back and as Shifter cut down the last Raptorian, he charged forward and swung the blade towards the forcefield.

The blade slammed onto the shield and caused the whole thing to shake, the dome clearly having trouble handling the intense energy currently being driven into it.

Hydia seemed to be struggling with keeping the shield up, but then smirked as the Infinigem glowed and suddenly unleashed a burst of energy. Said energy flew through the forcefield and began to wrap around the sword.

E-Quest saw this and looked worried. He tried to pull his sword away, but the weapon was stuck inside the magic holding it. And before he could do anything, a powerful shockwave suddenly exploded out of the forcefield and slammed into him.

"Augh!" He cried, getting thrown back with his hands losing his grip on the weapon.

"Burst!" Shifter cried, seeing the Rider slam into the ground. And as he did, Hydia suddenly threw the sword upwards so it went flying down the street. "You okay?" Shifter flew over to him, but stopped when Hydia spoke up.

"I wouldn't do that, if I was you." Shifter glared at her, as E-Quest began to pick himself up. "Without that sword, your friend is about to get in a very bad mood." She tapped her staff on the ground and a platform appeared beneath her feet, which lifted her into the air. "Have fun."

"What's she talking about?" Shifter asked, only to suddenly hear E-Quest cry out and see clutching his head. "Dude, you okay?"

"Get back!" E-Quest cried, as he staggered around. "It's happening!"

"What's happening?" Shifter asked, only for E-Quest to go completely still with his hands falling to his side. "Burst. What's wrong?" The Rider then lifted his head and Shifter could see his eyes were glowing brighter, but had an air of danger to them. "Burst?"

The next thing Shifter knew, E-Quest shot forward and smashed a fist right into his chest.

"AUGH!" Shifter was sent flying back, slamming into the ground as his armor sparked. He groaned, but quickly recovered and got back to his feet. "Dude! What the heck?" E-Quest said nothing and charged forward, turning into a shadow that flew at Shifter and smashed into him again. "Augh!" He was thrown back again, but this time he spread his wings and flew upwards.

Once he was out of the cloud, he looked back down and saw E-Quest reforming. The Rider then let out a roar as his body was surrounded by red energy, which he fired at his fellow Rider.

Shifter managed to avoid most of the attacks, but the last one hit his wing and cut right through it. And all Shifter could do was flail, as he fell to the ground and barely managed to land on his feet. All the while, E-Quest kept roaring. "He's out of control." Shifter now knew what Hydia meant and gulped, realising he was in serious trouble.

Back with the Rainbooms, the five girls were able to deal with the Raptorians with relative ease.

The monsters were still stronger than they had been at the hospital, but the girls were able to take them down with a combo of teamwork and using their powers in inventive ways. One such way was Pinkie, spaying sprinkles on one of Rarity's gem disks. Rarity then threw the disk towards a Raptorian and slammed it into its chest.

The sprinkles then exploded, the compression they were under sending the Raptorian flying backwards with great force.

Applejack lifted a Raptorian into the air and threw it at several more, the force of the impact knocking them all down and causing them to blow up. Rainbow then ran around a bunch, creating a tornado that also formed a vacuum they couldn't breathe in.

When she stopped running, they were all thrown into the air and exploded.

As the last Raptorian was destroyed, Fluttershy and Sunset returned from helping people escape. Now it was just them and Reeka, the witch glaring at them as she clutched her staff. "You girls think you're so great. But you'll find that you can't hold a candle to my power."

"You might have been able to keep up with us before," Sunset told her. "But now that we know what you can do, you can't take us by surprise anymore." the others nodded, as Reeka chuckled.

"Oh, how wrong you are. you'll soon learn that my power is far greater than you can possibly imagine." With that, she slammed her staff into the ground and suddenly multiplied several times. In just a few seconds, an army of her were standing around the Rainbooms.

The girls all stood back to back, as the Reeka army glared at them. "That's new," Rainbow gulped.

"Time remnants," Twilight realised. "Something like this should rip the time stream apart. At least, that's what was theorised."

"Time travel," one Reeka stated. "The more you do it, the less the rules apply to you. Now..." they all pointed their staffs at the girls, "prepare to be aged into oblivion!" They all unleashed a burst of light, which flew towards the girls and created a blinding burst.

The light filled the street, the Reeka clones smiling. But their smiles vanished the second the light died down.

The Rainbooms were inside Rarity's shield dome, which was glowing a rainbow of light. Inside, the Rainbooms were all holding hands as their geodes glowed and fed Rarity's attack. The beams died down and the dome vanished, revealing the girls and unleashing a burst of power that Reeka staggered at.

"What?" She cried, "what's going on?" The Rainbooms all turned to her, Applejack and Rainbow letting their hands go so they could stand in a line. "How are you able to overpower my magic? I have the Infinigem's might."

"That Infinigem might be powerful," Sunset told her. "But there's a magic with just as much limitless potential." They all began to float up, as Reeka staggered back and they all spoke in unison. "THE MAGIC OF FRIENDSHIP!" With that, they unleashed a rainbow of light into the sky.

Reeka watched it fly up and swirl around, then bed down towards her. She screamed and created a force field, using all the power she could summon from the Infinigem.

The rainbow struck the shield and caused it to rattle, the friendship blast bouncing off the barrier but making it crack. And as the last of the energy flew into it, the shield shattered and Reeka was sent flying back.

She crashed into the ground, sliding along it before coming to a stop. She moaned, as she lay on the ground smoking. All the while, the Rainbooms landed back on the ground with smiles on their lips. "Great work, girls." Sunset nodded before turning back to Reeka. "We need to find a way to hold her."

"Let's tie her up," Rainbow suggested.

"And take her staff," Twilight agreed. They were about to do just that, only to suddenly find a bunch of lightning rain down upon them.

They all cried out, staggering back in shock as Twilight looked up and saw someone floating above them. A hideous monster witch, with a gem floating next to her. "Who's that?" Pinkie asked, as the monster landed between them and Reeka.

"Greetings," the witch stated. "Name's Hydia." The Rainbooms all gasped, remembering that name from Burst's story. "That's quite an impressive power you girls have. Equestrian Magic, if I'm not mistaken."

"Yes," Sunset nodded, "but not from your Equestria."

"Who cares? Equestrian Magic is Equestrian Magic. It'll be perfect for my needs." The girls were all on edge at this, as Reeka started to recover and pick herself up. "I'll be taking that magic, if you don't mind."

"We do mind," Rarity stated. "If you think we're going to just hand our magic to you, you're out of your mind."

Hydia chuckled, as Reeka made her way over to her. "Oh, to be young and foolish." The Infinigem glowed, powering the two witches up. "You think you have a chance against us. How pitiful." She turned to Reeka. "Ready?"

Reeka nodded, "I'm ready." They pointed their staffs at the girls, who all prepared for a serious fight. They were tired from using their rainbow blast, but they refused to let that stop them. They would defeat these witches, no matter what.

"STRIKE!"

Shifter quickly placed his first Mimicore into his Driver, as E-Quest charged at him. "Shape Shift!" He leapt into the air, flying over E-Quest as he slammed the Driver shoot. All the while, E-Quest kept growling.

"MIMIC! LIGHTNING BUG!" His armor melted and reshaped, changing colour as it hardened into his first form. "Illuminate the light, striking through the darkness!" As soon as the armor settled, Shifter ignited the lights covering him in hopes of blinding E-Quest.

It seemed to work, with E-Quest staggering back for a moment.

Shifter hoped that maybe if he removed the crest, Burst would wake up. So as E-Quest was blinded, Shifter charged and tried to close the Driver. But before he could, E-Quest burst into his shadow cloud form again. And with Shifter right next to him, it was easy for the mad Rider to smash into him.

Shifter screamed as he was thrown backwards, whilst E-Quest's shadow form flew around him to form a circle.

As Shifter picked himself up, part of the shadow circle flew out and slammed into him. He staggered around, only for another stream to fly out and hit him as well. This kept happening again and again, the lights on Shifter's armor doing nothing to stop it.

Finally, the cloud flew straight up and formed a giant fist that flew down and curved around before smashing into Shifter. "GYAH!" The Rider was thrown backwards several hundred feet, eventually crashing into the ground hard.

He could only moan, as he felt his bones rattle. He forced his head up and saw E-Quest reforming, as he tried to come up with a plan. His first idea was to use his Hyper Strike Form. But he doubted it would be enough to stop him.

As Shifter picked himself up, he spotted something not too far off. The sword that E-Quest had been holding. The one he had dropped right before he went nuts.

He remembered what Hydia had said and though he doubted it would work, he got up and ran for the sword. E-Quest charged at him as well, turning into a shadow that moved at incredible speed. It seemed that it would reach Shifter before he reached the sword.

But at the last moment, Shifter jumped with all his might and grabbed the sword's handle.

He rolled around as the shadow reached him and swung the sword through it, the blade glowing as it cut through the shadow and seemed to actually burn it away. The Shadow let out a roar, as it flew past Shifter without touching him.

It then hit the ground and reformed into E-Quest, whose body was sparking as he staggered about.

Shifter watched and was worried he had done something bad, but E-Quest soon regained his balance and stood still. "Uhhh," Burst's voice spoke up. "What happened?" He looked around and saw Shifter, holding his sword. "Flash! Nice work. You gotta hurry and defeat me with that sword. It's the only way to stop my Umbrum powers from-" He stopped and clutched his head.

"Burst!"

"Hurry!" He screamed, only to once again go limp as his eyes glowed menacingly. He let out a growl as he glared at Shifter, charging as he did so.

Shifter did what Burst said and as E-Quest got close, he swung the sword at him and it cut into his chest. He cried out, as he staggered back and allowed Shifter to slash at him again. Then again and again. Every time he did, the blade glowed brighter.

As E-Quest staggered back, the light from the blade spread to the rest of the sword. And suddenly, Shifter knew what he had to do. His body was practically moving on its own, his hand pulling on the pommel the same way E-Quest had earlier.

And as the mad Rider recovered, Shifter pulled the blade back before swinging it around. Doing so caused the light to fly off the blade and shoot towards E-Quest, slamming into him and causing an explosion.

E-Quest roared in pain, as he was blown into the air and his suit began to glow. And when he hit the ground, the suit exploded and he was back in his normal state. But he didn't look so good, the Rider just laying there as Shifter ran up to him.

"You okay?" He knelt beside Burst and helped him sit up, Burst moaning as he clutched his head.

"I think so." He looked over and took the sword from Shifter, the light from the blade spreading across his body. "This should help."

"What the heck was that?"

"My Umbrum power. A gift from my dad's side of the family. They hoped it would corrupt me into awakening them like Sombra tried to do. It almost succeeded, until my mom made me this sword to counteract the negative effects of the crest. But you saw what happens if I'm not holding the sword in that form."

"Yeah. Wasn't fun. No offence, but maybe don't use that crest from now on."

"Right," Burst groaned as he picked himself up. "Right now, we need to focus. I let Hydia get away. There's no telling where she might have gone." He took out his phone and opened up the Raptorian app, trying to figure out who needed help. But the Raptorians were all gone.

Flash frowned under his helmet, as he looked back in the direction Hydia had flown off in. "That's where she went," he pointed in the direction. "Isn't that where Twilight and the others went?" Before Burst could reply, the ground suddenly shook violently and a bright light shot into the air.

"WOW!" Burst had to shield his eyes, Shifter's visors blocking most of the light. "What the heck?"

Shifter took out his bike and made it grow, jumping onto it whilst Burst summoned his Steed Cycle. He wasn't in a good enough condition to transform, so he rode off in his own clothes and they raced towards the source of the light.

They moved like blurs through the city, passing people that were running in the opposite direction and still terrified about being trapped inside a dome. The Riders knew something bad was happening and they feared the Rainbooms had gotten in over their heads.

Morphic and Dragus continued their fight with Draggle, who continued to teleport around randomly.

She would also swap places with Morphic, causing him to get hit by an attack instead of her. "How do I get rid of this mark?" He asked, rubbing his back again.

Dragus sighed. "Be thankful she only marked your suit. It'll disappear when you revert back. If she marks your skin, it never comes off." Draggle warped between them and unleashed a wave of lightning, which hit the pair and knocked them both back. They cried out and slammed into the ground, as Draggle cackled. "This is too much fun."

"Laugh while you can," Morphic told her. "We'll find a way to beat you. And once our friends deal with Reeka, they'll be here to help us wipe you out."

Draggle laughed again. "They may somehow find a way to stop my sister, but my mother's another story." Dragus froze when she heard this.

"What? But Hydia's-"

"Master of space magic," Draggle announced. "And my sister's master of time magic. Combine those powers and amplify them with the Infinigem and what do you think can be done?" Dragus couldn't believe what he was hearing. "That's right. We saved my mother. And now that she's back with the Infinigem, nothing can stop us."

"Wrong!" Morphic launched his gator construct towards her, the jaws chomping to take a bite out of her. But Draggle vanished again and appeared behind Morphic, only to almost get cut in half by his saw tail.

"WOW!" She leapt back, only for Dragus to suddenly be right next to her. "GYAH!" He slammed his dragon gauntlet into her stomach, knocking the wind out of her before she could teleport away. And as she was thrown backwards, Morphic swung his arm around and sent the gator construct flying around on its energy chain.

The head flew towards Draggle and grabbed her, biting down hard and making her cry out in pain.

The construct then began to retract, Morphic and Dragus preparing to finish her off with as much power as they could muster. But before she reached them, she managed to fight through the pain and teleport away.

The Riders growled, as Draggle reappeared down the street. She seemed a little shaken up, but overall okay.

The Riders prepared to attack, only for the ground to suddenly start shaking. They then saw a bright light, coming from somewhere else in the city. And Morphic couldn't help but realise it was the same spot Twilight and her friends had gone.

Draggle noticed the light as well and smiled. "Well. I think that's my cue. This was fun. Let's not do it again sometime." The Riders realised what was about to happen and ran at her, hoping to get her before she warped away. But Draggle hit the ground with her staff and in a flash, she was gone.

The pair stood there, annoyed at her escape. But they had bigger problems to worry about. "Twilight."

Shifter and Burst finally arrived at the source of the light, the two Riders turning onto the street and stopping when they saw the state of the place.

The buildings had all been utterly destroyed, with rubble and broken glass everywhere. The street was torn up and lampposts were utterly destroyed. The place was an absolute wreck. "Geez," Burst whistled, "what happened here? Did the girl do this?"

Shifter shook his head. "I don't think the girls' magic has this level of destructive power. Not even Pinkie." They got off their bikes and made their way through the rubble, trying to find the girls. And as they climbed over a large pile of rubble. they saw something that made them stop. "SUNSET!"

Sunset laid on the ground, looking like she had just been through a meat grinder. She was covered in injuries and her clothes were a mess. And she wasn't the only one.

All the Rainbooms were knocked out, all in a similar state to Sunset. "Twilight! Rainbow! Fluttershy, no!" They ran down the rubble pile, hoping to save them. But before they could, a blast of lightning flew over to them and caused an explosion at their feet.

The Riders cried out, being blown into the rubble with Shifter's armor vanishing.

Flash and Burst fell to the ground, as a witch's cackle filled the air and someone stepped out of the smoke that filled the street. Hydia and Reeka, the pair smiling as they stared at the Riders.

"Sorry, boys. But we'll be taking your friends with us." Hydia stomped her staff, unleashing ribbons of magic that flew out and wrapped around the Rainbooms and lifted them up.

"No!" Flash tried to pick himself up, but Reeka unleashed another magic blast that Flash had to brace himself for.

As explosions occurred around the boys, the girls were pulled over to Hydia. At the same time, Draggle suddenly warped in next to them. "Ooh," she saw the Rainbooms and smiled. "Momma. Do you have a devilish plan?"

"Quite devilish," Hydia nodded. "Warp us somewhere out of the way. We have work to do." Draggle nodded and once the ten of them were all close together, she used her magic and teleported the lot of them away.

Flash and Burst saw them vanish and couldn't believe it. They had let the girls get captured, again. And now there was no telling how much danger they were in. The frustrations of what had happened became too much for Flash, he punched the ground and let out a roar. "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Author's Note

Okay, I may be using the Rainbooms getting captured a little too often. Especially in crossover stories like this one. I'll try and make this the last one. I promise.

Anyway, what did you think of Burst's Umbrum form? Most Riders in the modern day get a form that corrupts them and needs to be purified to be used for good. Think of this like Burst's Metal Cluster Hopper form.
