Kamen Rider Shifter
Episode 27: Carnival Chaos
Previous ChapterNext ChapterIn Corvyn's lab, a loud engine could be heard revving up.
In the once pitch black room, Kamen Rider Hudie was sitting atop her own Rider Machine. Unlike with the male Riders, this bike had a slightly different design. This bike was light blue in colour, with a pink glass screen that was in the shape of a heart. Coming out the sides of the console were two wing-like sections, that gave the front a crescent moon shape and moved to help with balance at high speeds. The wheels were black, but the inner parts were pink and the back had a helmet box-like contraption that had dorsal fins on it.
The Rider nodded, as she revved the engine. "Okay. This is awesome!" She turned to Corvyn, who nodded as the other Riders and Rainbooms nodded at her.
"You can thank Rarity for helping with the design," he explained.
"What can I say," Rarity smiled. "The other bikes are nice, but didn't really scream female Rider." The others nodded, as Hudie got off the bike and let it melt before shrinking down. Once it was back in its toy form, she picked it up before removing her Mimicore from the Driver.
Fleur stood in place of the hero and pocketed the bike, as she turned back to them. "This is still kind of hard to believe."
"Tell me about it," Shining nodded. "Try having no idea what's going on." He glanced over at Corvyn. "One minute I'm just a normal guy. The next, I'm waking up on the street having no idea what happened. Then, I can suddenly transform into a humanoid beetle and grow a blaster out of my armor."
"I'm sorry," Corvyn told him. "But would you have actually agreed to keep these powers if you knew the truth so early?"
Shining didn't know how to answer that. "Anyway," he turned back to Fleur. "You and Katar learning to get better in sync?" Fleur nodded.
"Yup. Sometimes, it doesn't even feel like we're two minds in one body. It feels like we're completely one." Shining and Thorax wondered what that was like. Neither of them had ever spoken to their Mimics and after what happened to Flash, they were worried what would happen if they did.
As the two Riders thought about Flash, they both wondered how he was doing with his mind now trapped. With each passing day, they worried Flash would become more and more isolated. After all, the only person he could talk to was the one person he hated more than anything. One could only imagine how he was feeling.
Night had fallen on Canterlot. The perfect cover for a black suited individual to fly over it without being seen.
And that was exactly what Kamen Rider Shifter was doing, heading towards the home of his host and his family. "We will soon be at your place of residence," he stated to nobody. But someone did answer.
"Can we not." The next thing he knew, Sheave was back inside the void of his mind. There, Flash was kneeling on the ground covered in the amber. "Nothing's worse than you trying to pretend to be me to my family."
"Trust me, this isn't a picnic for me either. But if you suddenly disappeared, it would cause a disturbance that could inhibit any plan our master has for us in the future."
"Just stay away from them," Flash growled. "If you try anything with my mom or Scootaloo-"
"You will do nothing," Sheave landed outside his house. "You are my prisoner now. You can do nothing but watch as I complete my mission." His armor melted and formed the cocoon around him, which then melted away to reveal him in his civilian clothes. He then sighed and changed them back to Flash's street wear, wishing he didn't have to wear the silly clothes his host liked.
He headed inside and as soon as he did, he heard Misty Vail call out to him.
"Flash." He sighed, having attempted to head upstairs as soon as possible. "Dinner's almost ready."
"I'll eat it later."
"You'll eat it now," she told him sternly. "And afterwards, you'll wash the dishes." Sheave growled, but didn't try anything and headed into the dining room. There, Scootaloo had set the table and was getting the drinks out. Meanwhile, Flash's mother came in carrying plates of food.
Sheave sat and quickly started shovelling the food down. The sight of this made the other two frown.
"It's not going anywhere," Scootaloo told him. "Don't need to eat like a pig." Flash glared at her, as Scootaloo ate her own food.
Misty then smiled. "So, you two looking forward to tomorrow?" This made Sheave stop, as Scootaloo smiled.
"Yeah. It's gonna be a blast." They turned to him and saw the confusion on his face. "Don't tell me you forgot." Sheave said nothing. "You promised to take me to the amusement park tomorrow." Sheave suddenly found himself reliving a memory of Flash's, where his host had promised to take his sister to Equestria Land.
"Oh," he frowned, "I can't do that. Something's come up." Scootaloo looked horrified, whilst Misty frowned.
"Excuse me. What could be more important than keeping your promise to your little sister?" Sheave said nothing, unsure how to answer that. "Exactly. We keep our promises in this family. So either take Scootaloo to the park tomorrow, or expect to spend the day cleaning the house with me."
Sheave did his best to hold back a glare, knowing that would likely get him in more trouble.
"Fine," he sighed. "I'll call and cancel." He knew the others weren't going to be happy about this. As such, he quickly finished the rest of his meal and tried to head upstairs, only to be reminded of the dishes.
Once those were done, he was finally allowed to head up to Flash's room and rest.
"So that's what it's like to have a mother. Talk about annoying." He heard Flash chuckled at this. "You think this is funny? Don't push your luck or I'll find a way to make things more unbearable for you."
"Whatever? So what happened to your mother?" Sheave said nothing. "I mean, Maya is the mother of Thorax's Mimic. So you must have been spawned from another Mimic, right?"
"Yes, though I never met them. I don't really have a lot of memories of before I had my physical form. Most Mimics don't get to meet their parents. They're either destroyed before we can, or our spawners leave and the next time we meet we don't even know it's them."
"Sounds lonely."
"It's natural." He laid on his bed, taking out his phone as he did. He quickly rung the number he had memorised and after a few moments, someone answered.
"What's up?" It was High, Sheave wishing it had been someone else.
"Listen. If the master has any plans for tomorrow, I won't be able to help. My host's family is forcing me to spend the day at an amusement park with his little sister. If I don't, it could cause issues for me."
"Seriously?" High sighed. "Having this family we have to work around is ridiculous. We need to find a way to get you out of this?"
"It's just one day. You'll be fine without me for that."
"And what if you're forced to do something else with this family? I think it'll be better to just get rid of them."
"How do you expect I do that?" He listened to High humming and thinking before she started chuckling. "You just had a wicked idea, didn't you?"
"Yes. Yes I did. Tomorrow, you're going to take the host's sister to this amusement park. And there, I'll send a bunch of Mimicreeps to kill her." Sheave seemed interested in this, whilst Flash cried out.
"NO! I WON'T LET YOU DO THAT!"
"Shut it!" Sheave growled.
"Huh?"
"Not you. My host doesn't like that idea. But I most certainly do. Let's do it. I'm going to enjoy this." He heard Flash growl and curse, but ignored him. "I'll contact you once we're at the park." With that, he hung up and sighed as he lay on the bed.
"Damn you!" Flash cried, "don't you have any heart? It's not bad enough you're pretending to be someone who loves her, now you're trying to use that to hurt her."
"Let's call it payback," Sheave stated. "You took my sibling from me. Now I'm going to take your sibling from you."
"Your brother was a monster that was trying to hurt people. Scootaloo's never hurt anyone ever! I promise you. If you touch one hair on her head, I will find a way to escape this and make you pay. I don't care if I have to destroy myself to do it. YOU'RE GONNA PAY!"
"Oh be quiet," Sheave stated. "Everything dies eventually. What's the difference between her dying now and in...sixty years or so?" Flash growled, as Sheave closed his eyes. But as he did, something happened.
In the blink of an eye, Sheave suddenly found himself being bombarded by images. He cried out, clutching his head, as he suddenly found himself in a park. He was shorter than he should be, wearing shorts and a blue T-shirt. And as he looks around, he sees an even smaller human on the grass next to him.
This was a younger Scootaloo, the pair of them playing with toys and laughing at something.
The scene then changes to show himself, pushing a swing with Scootaloo in it. They kept laughing, as Scootaloo got higher and higher. "What..." The scene changed again, this time of an older him pushing Scootaloo whilst she rode a bike.
She looked worried, but Sheave continued to hold onto her and keep her from losing control. And as Scootaloo looked ahead, Sheave released her and she started riding all on her own. She laughed at this, as she looked back and saw him not holding her. That was when she lost control.
Sheave flinched, as she somehow went off the path and crashed head first into a tree.
He ran over to her, as she untangled herself. And when she did, worry washed over him as he looked over her. But when they both saw she was unhurt, they both laughed with Sheave helping her to her feet.
Once again, the image around him changed and he was back in Flash's house. He appeared a little older, he and Scootaloo playing video games together. Both of them were furiously tapping buttons, trying to get an advantage over the other one. But eventually, Scootaloo managed to defeat him and began to celebrate.
Sheave threw the controller down and wrapped an arm around Scootaloo's neck, pulling her towards him so he could give her a nuggy. She screamed, trying to fight back, but it was useless and the pair ended up laughing as he kept it up.
"STOP!" Sheave cried out, managing to overcome the images he had just seen. He shook his head, finally back in the bedroom. And he did this, the images he had just seen became seared into his brain. And with them, all the emotions he had felt during them. "What was that?"
"Those were my memories," Flash stated. "I don't know how, but you must have accessed them somehow. Everything Scootaloo and I did together and all the emotions that are attributed with them."
"All that stuff you did. How pointless."
"No, it's not. Maybe that's the one thing you Mimics never learned. That what might seem to be the most pointless things, can actually be the most important. All those fun things my sister and I shared. Those experiences and the fun I had, were what make life worth living. They were why I fought so hard against the Mimics. Because I don't want those experiences to stop."
"Well they will. By this time tomorrow, your sister will be dead. And I'll be free to do whatever the master needs me to do." He could feel Flash's hatred and he didn't care. All that mattered was completing his mission. And Scootaloo was in the way.
In his hidden room, Sombra worked on the machine that was doing several scans.
He smiled, as he turned to the figure hidden in the darkness. "Systems are coming online and looking good. It won't be long before you're ready to head out and start fighting in my name."
"Good," the figure replied with their voice slightly muffled. "The sooner I'm out of here, the better."
"I know being stuck in here wasn't fun. But that Driver was made using the data stolen from the other Drivers. Since I wasn't able to get a complete scan of it at the time, I couldn't risk you leaving and a problem arising." He checked another monitor and nodded. "But it seems everything's working perfectly. Once I've got enough power to complete the charge, you'll be good to go."
"Good. I look forward to see how these Riders do against the power I have.
The next day.
Sheave was not a happy bunny. A part of him wished his comrades hadn't destroyed his host's car a while back, since he was forced to ride a bus to the amusement park. As such, he leaned against the window with his face in his hand. Scootaloo was sitting beside him, obviously excited about having a fun day out.
"We're almost there," she smiled as she saw the sign for the amusement park pass them.
"Yay," he stated sarcastically. He didn't know why he was even bothering with this charade. He should have just grabbed her when nobody was looking and thrown her through a portal. Too late now.
The bus pulled to a stop and the pair got out, both heading towards the entrance. They didn't have to wait long in line, since the park had just opened. Once Sheave paid for them to get in, Scootaloo looked around in amazement.
"High. You'd better show up quickly." But as he said that, Scootaloo grabbed his arm.
"Come on. Let's try that ride first!" She pulled him over to a roller-coaster and after another few minutes waiting in line, Sheave found himself sitting in the cart looking bored as they began to move up the long climb.
"What is the point of this? Why just sit in a cart that just goes in one big winding-CIRCLE!" The next thing he knew, the cart was shooting down the track at super high speed. He could do nothing but scream, as they flew left, right, did a loopy loop and dropped down several feet in a single second.
Scootaloo screamed in joy, as the cart kept racing around several times before finally slowing to a stop.
"YEAH!" She cheered, as they got out of the cart. Sheave's eyes were wide and he clutched his chest, as Scootaloo pulled them along. "That was awesome! Wasn't it!"
"Yes," Sheave nodded, "it was." He couldn't deny that. He had tried out Sentry's bike, but that roller-coaster was way more thrilling despite it being slower.
"I knew you'd love it!" Scootaloo laughed, as she grabbed Sheave's arm and pulled him along. "Come on. I bet that ride will be even more fun!" Sheave didn't know why he was letting himself get pulled along like this. But as they reached another ride, one which sent a bunch of seats up into the air dropping them for several seconds before repeating the process, he suddenly found himself excited.
"Maybe High can take a bit of time."
At the Mimic Lair, High was in her human form and busy making as many Mimicreeps as possible.
As she did, Sombra stepped into the room and noticed what she was doing. "What's going on here?" High jumped to attention, as Sombra stared her down. "I don't remember giving you any orders."
"Yes...master. I'm helping Sheave out." Sombra raised an eyebrow at this. "He's being forced to spend time at an amusement park with his host's younger sibling. We might not have any missions right now, but if he's forced to do it again when you need it that could become an inconvenience. So we're going to take that child down."
"I see," Sombra hummed. "Yes, that might be a good idea. But I want you to multi-task whilst you're at it." He pointed at a section of the lab. "Take those power packs and fill them up as much as you can. Once they're full, send them back to me. Is that understood?"
"Yes, master. We won't let you down."
Sombra nodded and got back to what he had come into the room to do, grabbing several spare parts before leaving. At the same time, High wondered what he was using them for and what he needed all this extra power for. But She would worry about that later, Right now, she had a small child to crush.
In Corvyn's lab, Cadance was there with everyone else.
Pharynx was with his brother, whilst she was staring at the newest Rider. "I can't believe you've become a Rider," she told Fleur. Since she was Cadance's student, the woman was quite amazed to discover she was joining the fight against the Mimics.
"Yeah," Fleur smiled, "I never thought I'd be doing something like this either. But still, I want to help protect our world. If I have to fight to do it, so be it."
Cadance smiled at her, proud that her student was willing to do what was needed. But there was still one thing that surprised her. "And this Katar. You're sure she's not gonna betray you?"
"Yes," Fleur smiled, "Katar's my friend. We actually spent a pleasant evening together, reading a historical romance novel last night." Cadance was amazed by this, as the others worked on the safe that Flash and Twilight had recovered before he had lost his body.
"Well?" Twilight asked, as his computers worked on undoing the lock. "How's it looking?"
"This isn't going to be easy," Corvyn stated. "The royal family certainly knew how to make a safe that was tough to open. This could take a while." They frowned at this, praying the core within would be the key to saving Flash.
In that moment, Rainbow rushed in from the other room. And she did not look happy, instead looking terrified. "GUYS! We've got a problem!" The others turned to her, on alert for what had her on edge. "I just got an alert from Scoot's canterbook page. Look!" She showed them an image that showed Scootaloo with someone else.
They all froze at the sight of Flash, sitting beside Scootaloo hugging her as they posed for the picture. "What's he doing?" Shining growled, seeing Flash's kidnapper so close to his sister. "He's got to be up to something."
"What do we do?" Fluttershy asked. "Should we go there and tell Scootaloo how dangerous he is?"
"But we'd have to tell her why he's dangerous," Twilight pointed out. "Which means we'd have to tell her her brother was taken over by a psycho slime monster and is a Kamen Rider. And I don't think she'll take that well."
The others realised she was right. But they couldn't just let Scootaloo be left alone with him.
"We should keep an eye on them," Fleur stated. "Sheave won't pull anything whilst we're there. So let's go and show him he can't do anything without getting us on his back." They nodded, as they prepared to head out. But none of them realised that things were already in motion.
Back at the amusement park, Sheave and Scootaloo continued to go on ride after ride.
With each ride, Sheave suddenly found himself enjoying himself more and more. They had ridden every roller-coaster in the park, kicked butt in the bumper carts and even had themselves scared witless when they went inside the haunted house.
"Found the way out yet?" Scootaloo asked, as they made their way through the house of mirrors.
"I think I've figured it out." Sheave turned what he thought was a corner, only to run head first into a mirror. "Ow!" He cried, holding his nose as Scootaloo laughed. But two seconds later, she found herself running into a mirror wall as well.
This time, it was Sheave's turn to laugh. As he did, he found himself back in his mind with Flash watching. "Enjoying yourself?"
Sheave turned to him. "Actually, yes. I guess you humans have found some rather novel ways of entertaining yourself."
"It's amazing how great life can be, when you don't waste your time trying to eradicate an entire species." Sheave rolled his eyes. "Don't think you're gonna get away with this. Rainbow's probably seen that post by now. She'll know you're with Scootaloo and will tell the others. They won't let you touch her."
"And how are they gonna stop me?" Sheave asked.
"I can't believe you. You just admitted Scootaloo was helping you have fun. And this is how you're gonna repay her? You Mimics claim to be so superior but if this is how you show gratitude for someone making you happy, you're anything but superior."
"Oh yeah? We have a few hundred destroyed worlds that say otherwise."
"It's easy to destroy something," Flash told him. "It's the easiest talent in the world to have. Takes no real effort or thought. If you wanna prove yourselves to be the best, try building something. Something more than a weapon or tool that can do nothing but make others feel pain. Do that and come back to me about being superior."
Sheave glared at him and pulled himself back out of his mind, as he and Scootaloo finally found the exit.
After that, they went to get something unhealthy to eat. Scootaloo got a hot dog, whilst Sheave got a burger. They managed to locate a bench to eat at, Scootaloo humming in delight as they ate. "This has been a great day," she told him. "We haven't been able to do something like this in ages."
"I've...been busy."
"Yeah. But you were always busy before," Scootaloo pointed out. "And you always managed to find time for us to hang out." She finished her hot dog and leaned onto his side, her head on his arm. "If you don't want to hang out with me anymore, I get it. But we've always had each other's backs. Ever since dad died."
Sheave remained quiet and finished his burger, as he felt Scootaloo's body heat on his.
Something about this felt strange. A part of him wondered that if his brother hadn't been killed, then maybe this is how he would feel to be around him.
Sheave let these feelings swirl around in his head, the Mimic trying to figure out how he felt about it. And slowly, he was raising his hand up as if to place it comfortingly on her head. But he never got that far.
Suddenly, a flash of light caused Sheave to look around and see a portal form in the middle of the amusement park.
From out of it, High leapt out with several Mimicreep following behind her. Three of them had power packs, the others quickly beginning to attack anyone who was close. This caused the people to scream, as they began to run for their lives. The Mimicreeps slashed at several, though they only got their clothes and a few light scratches.
High looked around and smiled when she spotted Sheave, as Scootaloo looked terrified.
"We gotta get out of here!" She cried, pulling her brother away. Sheave decided to play along, at least until they were out of the public's sight.
As such, he gripped her arm and pulled her along as High began to follow them. They pushed through the crowd, Sheave looking around and trying to find a place they could go and finish this. But oddly, he suddenly felt a strange feeling in the pit of his stomach.
As he thought about what would happen to Scootaloo, he felt himself beginning to feel sick. "What's wrong with me?" He shook his head and spotted an area that made him smirk. "This way!" He pulled Scootaloo through an area between two booths, the pair running out the other side and making their way towards an empty section of the park. As they did, High leapt onto the top of a booth and smirked.
After a minute of running, the two suddenly found themselves turning into an area that had a dead end. "Oh no," Sheave acted. "Damn it!" He tried to pull Scootaloo back, but High suddenly dropped down in the exit.
The siblings stared at her, as she chuckled and prepared her claws. "End of the road." Scootaloo hid behind Sheave and he smirked without her noticing, preparing to pull the girl out from behind him and throw her to the lions, or tigers in this instance.
But before he could, he felt that gut wrenching feeling in his stomach again. The idea of letting Scootaloo get hurt was making him feel horrible. Almost like he felt...guilty.
High gave him a curious look, wondering what he was waiting for. "Well. We gonna do this or not?" Scootaloo wondered what she meant, as Sheave glanced back at her. He seemed conflicted about something, though she couldn't figure out what.
Then, before anything could happen, a blue blur suddenly shot past High and circled around Sheave. In the blink of an eye, Scootaloo suddenly vanished and Sheave almost spun off his feet. "What?" He saw the blur run away and miss High as she tried to claw at it, then disappeared into the park.
"NO!" High roared, as Sheave ran over to her. "If you hadn't taken so long, this would have been over by now." Sheave frowned, wondering why he had hesitated. And also why he felt relieved.
Suddenly, a portal opened up and three figures leap out of it. Shining, Thorax and Fleur glared at them, Sheave glaring back and High prepared to attack. "You think we'd let you get away with that," Shining stated. "Putting Flash's sister in danger. We won't forgive you for that."
"You guys are going down!" Thorax cried, Fleur nodding.
"We're freeing your hosts here and now." They all took out their Mimicores and activated them, the three devices glowing as their Drivers appeared around their waists.
"TRI-HORN!/SLASH!/FLUTTER!"
They all placed their Mimicores into their Drivers and struck a pose, as Sheave took out his own Mimicore and the Maleficore. "HENSHIN!" They slammed the draws shut and the belts powered up, as they crossed their arms.
"MIMIC!TRICERATOPS!/MANTIS!/BUTTERFLY!" The belts unleashed the slime and soon, all three of them were sealed within a cocoon seconds before it shattered to reveal them in their Rider suits. The armor then began to form and soon, the three Riders stood before them ready for a fight.
"The charging force of three horns, triple the destructive power."
"Bladed arms that slice through anything, cutting down the evils of the world!"
"A graceful wing beat, creates a hurricane of power!"
The Mimics didn't look impressed, as the three prepared their weapons. "So what? You think you're tough, just because you out number us." Sheave held up his cores. "I'm not scared." He activated them, as the Driver appeared around his waist.
"MALEFIC STRIKE!"
He placed both cores onto the Driver and struck his own pose. "Henshin!" The Riders watched him slam the draw shut and flip the Maleficore down, the dark energy flowing into him through the Driver. And as he did, Sheave suddenly felt better. The weird feelings he had felt because of Scootaloo, suddenly vanished as the Driver powered up
"MIMIC! LIGHTNING BUG!" The slime flew out and formed the cocoon around him, the other Riders getting ready as the cocoon broke apart and revealed the dark suited individual. And as the dark armor formed on him, his Driver spoke out. "Darkness, engulfs all that stands within it. Unlimited power awakens in the shadows!"
Shifter glared at his opponents before charging forward, High following as they attacked the Riders.
Shifter and Hudie began to fight, Shifter wanting revenge on her for what had happened before. Meanwhile, Changeling and Morphic dealt with High as she tried to zap and slash at them.
As this was happening, the Mimicreeps found themselves having their own issues as well.
Suddenly, the Rainbooms had arrived and started dealing with the ones attacking the amusement park. "Gotcha!" Applejack punched one and made it go splat, whilst Twilight lifted a few more up and threw them against a nearby roller-coaster.
Rarity threw her diamonds and cut through them, whilst Pinkie blew them up with her explosive treats. Meanwhile, Sunset and Fluttershy were helping other people get away. As they did, a blue blur raced up to them and stopped to show Rainbow with Scootaloo in hand.
"You okay?" She finally asked, looking Scootaloo over.
"What about Flash? You've gotta go back for him!" The others frowned, wondering how they should explain the situation to Scootaloo. But at the moment, they didn't have time.
Applejack spotted the Mimicreeps using the power packs. All three were plugged into the amusement park's electrical system, having been absorbing energy that usually went to the rides. "Hey!" She ran over to them, but more Mimicreeps got in the way.
They slashed at her, but she managed to avoid this as she looked around for something to smash at them with.
Rarity launched some diamonds at the creatures and cut through them, as the Mimicreeps with the power packs quickly unplugged the half charged devices. And as the girls made their way towards them, the three pulled the packs over to an opening portal.
"Don't let them get away!" Twilight cried, as she tried to grab the packs in her magic. But the Mimicreeps leapt through the portal before they could. "No!"
"What are they after so much energy for?" Rainbow asked, the others wondering the same thing. But Scootaloo pulled on her sleeve.
"FLASH!" She cried, looking ready to start crying for fear of her brother's state. The look broke Rainbow's heart and with a sigh, she turned to the others as the rest of the Mimicreeps were dealt with.
They all nodded, as Sunset and Fluttershy arrived back on the scene. "Get her out of here!" Rainbow cried, as they started making their way back to where her 'brother' was.
In Sombra's hidden lab, a portal opened up and the three Mimicreeps leapt through it.
Sombra turned to them, as they bowed down and he smiled. "Excellent." He moved over to the power packs and looked them over, frowning when he saw that they were all only half charged. "That group was quicker to react then I suspected. Still..." He plugged them into the machine, the energy flowing into it and along the cables. "This should be just enough to get it working."
The figure in the dark section said nothing, as the energy flowed into their Driver. All the while, they held a Mimicore in their hand that was just waiting to be activated.
Sombra watched as the power flowed into the device and charged it up, the man watching as the level stayed stable. "Good. Won't be long now."
Back in the amusement park, The Riders continued to fight against the Mimics with the fight appearing to be rather even.
With her super speed, High managed to avoid the Rider's attacks. But the Riders were able to block her slashes with their swords or gauntlets. Morphic shielded himself with his gauntlet before throwing a kick into High's side, knocking her away whilst Changeling slashed at her.
"Gyah!" She cried, the tips of his blades slicing against her chest and pushing her into the side of the ride they had been fighting next to.
At the same time, Hudie was using her wings to fly above Shifter and attack from above. She flicked her ribbon around before whipping it forward, Shifter raising his arms to shield himself as it struck him. He was knocked staggering back by it, as Hudie flew down and dealt several kicks to him.
"Augh!" He was almost knocked off his feet, until he crashed into the side of the roller-coaster's fencing and used it to hold him up. "How are you so strong?"
"Because me and Katar work together," she reminded him. "Against our teamwork, you don't stand a chance." She giggled. "Too bad you and Flash can't work together like that. There's no telling how strong you could be. But considering how you want to destroy his world and everyone he loves, that's not going to happen."
Shifter growled. "I don't need his help!" He pushed himself off and leapt towards her, his armor sparking with energy. But when he threw a punch, Hudie managed to spin and avoid it before kicking him in the side. At the same time, Changeling managed to slash High and knocked her back.
Hudie then started doing a ballet spin, kicking her leg at Shifter every time to spun around. And as High prepared to charge herself up and attack, Hudie launched her Grace Grazer and wrapped it around the Tiger's leg.
The Mimic suddenly found herself getting pulled off her feet, hitting the ground as Hudie pulled and used the force the yank herself at Shifter before kicking him in the chest with both feet.
This knocked Shifter backwards, as Changeling performed a soccer kick on High and blew her into the air with all his strength. The two Mimics found themselves slamming into one another in midair, as Morphic's gauntlets began to charge up with energy. And as they fell to the ground, he thrust both fists down into the ground and unleashed the energy.
That energy flew towards them and before they could recover and escape, it exploded beneath them and both yelled out in pain as they were thrown upwards and burned by it. And when they fell down, both grunted in pain as they clutched their arms and sides.
Changeling and Hudie then charged, Changeling attempting to stab High whilst Hudie swung her ribbon whip around.
High managed to recover in time to roll out of the way, Changeling's blades hitting the ground instead. And as Hudie's ribbon wrapped around Shifter's neck, he let the light on his body glow as bright as they could to blind her.
"Augh!" She staggered back, as Shifter pulled the ribbon off his neck. He then took out another Mimicore and activated it.
"MALEFIC BLADE!" Before Hudie or the others could react, he replaced the Mimicores and slammed the Driver shut. "MIMIC! SWORDFISH!" The armor on his body melted and as Morphic threw several laser punches his way, Shifter dodged at super speed whilst his armor solidified.
Now in his Swordfish Form, he summoned his blade and charged forward at high speed.
He slashed at Morphic and knocked him back, whilst Hudie leapt into the air. He then turned his attention towards Changeling and as he flew past him, slashing at the Rider's chest, Hudie had to avoid High's lightning attacks.
As she did, the female Rider took out her Rider Machine and dropped it to the ground.
The toy bike melted before expanding and solidifying into the large version, which Hudie flew down and landed on. As soon as she did, she revved her engine and shot forward, moving just as fast as Shifter. Turning into black and light blue blurs, the pair flew around the place as Changeling and Morphic turned towards High.
Changeling ran forward and slashed at her, but she managed to dodge each of his attacks and swipe at him with her claws. But the damage she had taken already had slowed her down, allowing Changeling to keep up and block her attacks.
He crossed his swords to deflect her stab and thrust his weapons apart, knocking her off balance. He then leapt into the air and allowed Morphic to fire multiple lasers at her. These slammed into her and blew the Mimic backwards, until she crashed into a fence.
At the same time, Hudie's bike flew past them and shot towards Shifter.
The Malefic Rider charged at full speed and tried to cut the female one's head off. But at the last moment, Hudie swung her bike around and skidded along the ground, the wing of her bike ground against the ground and she whipped her ribbon around.
It wrapped around Shifter's leg and with a sharp pull, his foot was yanked out from under him.
He screamed, as he crashed into the ground and rolled out of control. As he did, Hudie spun around and pulled her weapon away. And when he eventually stopped, she revved her engine and reached down to her Driver. "You're not gonna win. Because we're about to bring the storm!" With that, she slammed her hand into the side of the Driver.
"CLIMATIC FLUTTER!"
The energy flowed out of her Driver, through her and into her bike. And as she raced forward, Shifter picked himself up and saw her coming.
Her bike glowed and before he could do anything, it morphed into a light blue stream of energy that shot forward at super speed. And when it shot past Shifter, he roared as he was blown up and sent flying.
Hudie and her bike rematerialised in that moment and skidded to a stop, as Shifter hit the ground whilst his suit exploded off of him. His Driver flew open and his Blade Mimicore was ejected and landed a good distance away from him.
Sheave groaned, clutching his chest as he looked over at where his core had fallen.
But when he tried to reach out and grab it, a blue blur shot passed and the core vanished. He turned to glare at the Riders, as Hudie rolled to a stop and got off her bike. And as High crawled towards him, the Riders grouped up as her bike shrank down.
The three Riders stared at the two, the three nodding to one another as they prepared to finally end the battle and save their friend. "Hang on, Flash. We're getting you out of there." But before they could perform their finishing moves, something happened that took them completely by surprise.
Up above the Mimics, a portal suddenly opened. And from out of it, multiple bolts of red and green lightning exploded out of it and shot down towards the Riders.
They all gasped and leapt back, the ground exploding where the lightning struck. The shockwave slammed into the three and sent them all flying backwards, crashing into several spots including a fence and part of a ride before they all fell to the ground.
As they did, a figure appeared in the explosion zone. And as the smoke and flames began to fade, bolt of red and green lightning flew all over the place and slowly revealed the one hidden within them. And when the Riders saw what it was, they couldn't believe it. "No way," Morphic gasped.
At the same time, the Rainbooms arrived and also saw the figure. And they were just as shocked by what they were seeing. "Shifter?" Twilight asked, as the figure was completely revealed.
It was Shifter. Or at least, a figure that was wearing a suit very similar to Shifter's.
He appeared to resemble Shifter's Hyper Strike form, his suit being buffer whilst his armor covered more of his body. His suit was brown whilst his armor was mostly green with several red areas. This included the antenna on his head, the lightning wings on his back and the lights covering his suit. His eyes were also red and as he stared at them, his gaze landed on Sheave behind him and the Rider suddenly felt something.
Then, the new Rider suddenly shot forward with bolts of red and green lightning flying off him as he moved.
As the other Riders picked themselves up, the new one flew over to Hudie and smashed a fist into her stomach. "GYAH!" She was once again blown backwards and crashed into the side of a ride, her suit exploding off her as she fell to the ground. Fleur flinched, as she laid there whilst the new Rider spun around and slammed his foot into Changeling.
This sent him flying back, but he managed to stay suited up and barely landed on his feet.
Morphic turned to the Rider and fired a laser at him, but the stranger raised a hand and actually caught the laser in it. A red energy surrounded his hand and protected it from the laser, as he then leapt forward and threw a charged up punch into Morphic's chest.
He was knocked back and as he staggered around, Changeling rushed forward and slashed at him.
However, the figure leapt out of the way and bounced off the side of a roller-coaster to shoot back towards him. And as he did, energy flowed into his boot and he slammed it into Changeling's chest. "GYAH!" The explosion that followed knocked him backwards and caused his suit to explode off him, Thorax falling to the ground as well.
The figure back-flipped and landed, as Morphic ran at him and threw a bunch of punches in his direction.
But the new Rider dodged them all as he moved towards him and eventually got close enough to slam Morphic in the chest and knock him back. And as he did, he slammed the side of his Driver.
"CLIMATICDARKSTRIKE!"
The Rider crossed his arms as the lights on his body unleashed a bunch of energy into his arms and legs. And when she swung his arms apart, burst of red lightning flew off them and practically ran across the ground towards Morphic.
When they reached him, they grabbed Morphic's arms and raised him up into the air. "AUGH!" He was zapped as he was lifted up, whilst the Rider leapt up and flew past him before spinning around and thrusting his foot towards Morphic. At this point, the energy exploded off his body and pushed him down towards Morphic.
All the Rider could do was gasp, as the foot slammed into him and blew him down to the ground. And with a roar, Morphic crashed into the floor with an explosion surrounding him.
"SHINING!" Twilight screamed, horrified to see her brother beaten so badly.
Applejack leapt forward and using all her strength, she clapped her hands together and made a powerful wind that blew the flames and smoke away. Doing so revealed Shining, who was laying on the ground hurt whilst his suit disappeared. Fleur and Thorax had pushed themselves up and moved over to him, Shining revealed to be seriously injured from the blast.
The new Rider landed in front of Sheave and High, who both looked just as amazed and shocked by him.
Thorax and Fleur helped Shining to his feet and as he grunted, he glared at the strange. "Who the heck are you?" The Rider slowly turned towards them before speaking.
"Kamen Rider...Gule."
"Gule?" Shining's eyes widened, with the others looking shocked. Thorax and Fleur frowned, not quite sure why that name was so important. But they got their answer, when the figure reached down and removed his Mimicore from his Mimic Driver.
In doing so, the armor on his body melted and formed a cocoon around him before exploding. In doing so, it revealed someone none of them had ever expected to see.
A young man in his late teens, with light brown skin and dark green hair that had been combed back. He was dressed in a white shirt and a dark blown tie, suit jacket and pants. He looked nothing like how he used to look, but it was clear that it was him.
"Timber," Twilight whispered in shock.
Timber adjusted his tie and glared at them all, then glanced back at Sheave. "Hello, brother. I'm glad to see you've finally regained control of your body." Sheave just stood there, as he realised who he was actually talking to.
"Gule," Sheave whisper. "Brother." Everyone else caught on and realised that if Timber could become a Kamen Rider, that could only mean one thing. He was a Mimic. But how could that be possible?
Author's Note
How many of you saw that coming? So, Gule is back in the picture. But how? Only time will tell.
