July 5-Apple Bloom Contributes
After an eventful Fourth of July, Apple Bloom lays down on her bed thinking about the trip she took to where the Jackbox Village got started. Seeing the places where Drawful, Fibbage XL, Lie Swatter, Word Spud, and You Don't Know Jack 2015 are set up intrigued her.
"Maybe I ought to go there sometime and play along." Applejack said to herself. "Applejack made a good point. The Fibbage games may not be bad after all."
After a quick shower, Apple Bloom got dressed and was given breakfast by Olga.
"Here you are, Miss Apple Bloom." Olga said. “A short stack of pancakes and orange juice to get you going."
"Thank you, ma'am." Apple Bloom replied.
The farm kid ate her breakfast slowly to enjoy the taste.
"These pancakes are very good." Apple Bloom complimented. "You're a good cook around here."
"Thank you, my dear." Olga replied. "I traveled the world learning good cooking techniques."
After breakfast was over, Apple Bloom helped Olga clean the dishes and the kitchen.
"You didn't have to do this." Olga said. "I'm capable of doing this on my own."
"I'm used to helping out at Sweet Apple Acres." Apple Bloom informed. "I don't mind lending you a hand."
"That is so nice of you to do so. Thank you."
Apple Bloom smiled as the two ladies continue the cleaning. Later, Apple Bloom straightened out her room. She looks at a small box with a lense on it.
"I'm very surprised Twilight gave me this projector for my birthday." Apple Bloom said to herself. "This made movie nights at my house better."
She then pulls out a slim long bag, and smiled at it. "Applejack was shocked that I spent eighty bucks I had saved up to get this put it together Movie screen. But, when she saw me in the backyard watching a movie on this screen, she realized it was a wise investment."
Later, Apple Bloom walks around the neighborhood enjoying the atmosphere. She waved hello to the neighbors and is very polite. Soon, she saw a bunch of balloons at one house with a short haired woman putting up a banner.
"Howdy, Mrs. Krink." Apple Bloom greeted. "Is there a celebration at your house."
"Yes, there is." The woman answered. "It's my daughter's sweet sixteenth birthday. And, I'm getting things ready for a birthday party."
"Sweet 16 is a big milestone for young girls."
"You said it. Now, how can I make this special?"
This gave Apple Bloom an idea. "You know, I have stuff back where I'm staying to make a movie night."
"A movie night?" Mrs. Krink said. "That's not a bad idea. Come inside with me. And, we'll talk about it."
Apple Bloom followed the woman into her house to discuss this idea. Later, using a cart she brought from Canterlot, Apple Bloom put in a duffle bag with her projector and Blu Ray player, a case with her screen, speakers, a table to set things up, and surge protector. As she rolled the cart outside, Amy was curious.
"What's all of that stuff for?" Amy asked.
"Mrs. Krink said that it's her daughter's sixteenth birthday today." Apple Bloom explained. "And, I suggested that her party includes a movie night."
"I get what you're saying. But, will it be indoors or outdoors?"
"According to the weather report, there's no rain forecasted tonight. So, it's outdoors."
This gave Amy some relief as Apple Bloom went over to where the birthday is held. As she was rolling her cart down the street, she saw a bunch of red people saying hello to her.
"Those look like the family from 'The Devils and the Details'." Apple Bloom said. "I guess Jackbox characters come along once and a while to greet the folks here."
As she went to the Krink residence, she was greeted by another person. It was a short haired woman wearing a teal top, purple pants and purple shoes.
"Hello, sweetie." The woman greeted. "I was told someone was coming to entertain the birthday girl."
Apple Bloom was shocked to see woman. "Rue from Roomerang?"
"In person. Come along to the backyard door on the other side. I'll let you in."
The farm girl was let in another area of the backyard. Soon, she was setting up her equipment. As she was putting together her movie screen, Rue came by to check on her.
"How's it coming, darling?" Rue asked.
"Just about done." Apple Bloom answered. "Just got to put on these bungee cords to keep the screen cloth in place."
"It's so nice of you to volunteer to make this Sweet 16 even sweeter."
"Aw. Y'all are makin' me blush."
As the sun was setting, Mrs. Krink directed the party guests to another area of the backyard where Apple Bloom was waiting.
"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen." Apple Bloom greeted. "I understand someone amongst ya is celebrating the traditional sweet 16."
A girl with long blond hair stepped out to answer the response. "That's me. It's my birthday, and I'm celebrating big time."
"Well, this will bring even more enjoyment. It's my understanding that you like James Bond."
"You bet. Ever since my father let me watch James Bond movies with him, I love all of that action."
"That's good to hear. Tonight, it's my pleasure to present to you his first adventure from 1964. Dr. No."
Everybody clapped as Apple Bloom started the movie. With the stars coming out, the crowd enjoyed the movie Apple Bloom brought. This is a great night for the farm kid. She's doing a good deed for someone. And, nobody looked at Apple Bloom suspiciously. As the party winds down, the guests started to leave while Apple Bloom packed up her equipment.
The guests each gave her a one dollar bill for tips while Mrs. Krink gave her a ten dollar bill for a job well done. Everybody appreciated what Apple Bloom had done. Soon, the farm kid rolled her stuff back to the Felmanders' house, satisfied with her good work.
