Author's Note

For Apple Bloom's first Jackbox experience, she's going to the auction room of "Bidiots".

June 27-Bidiots

In Canterlot, Twilight Sparkle brought her friends together for an announcement.

"Girls," Twilight said, "the Jackbox Challenge is on!"

"What's this here Jackbox Challenge?" Applejack asked.

Sunset gave her the answer. "Anybody interested in the daily challenges get emersed in the worlds of the fifty Jackbox games."

"As in them games from those Party Packs?"

"To quote your brother, Eeyup!"

Rainbow Dash got excited. "Think of it, AJ. The Murder Hotel, The Scrawliseium, Professor Nanners' laboratory, and more."

"Where is this challenge taking place?" Applejack asked.

"In that beautiful town known as Jackbox Village." Rarity answered.

Applejack's eyes got wide. "That's where I sent Apple Bloom for the summer. I'll bet she'll try to get involved. What's today's challenge, Rares?"

"Today's challenge is 'Bidiots'. That's the game where it feels like an art auction."

"Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo are on their way now to play Bidiots." Fluttershy informed. "And, I heard Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are going to play Bidiots too."

This got Applejack surprised. Granny told me that Babs Seed has plans at that village too. If my sister and those five other girls get together, it can make for an interesting game.

Meanwhile, in Jackbox Village, Apple Bloom just had a good breakfast and is ready to head out the door.

"Are you sure I'll be able to play these games in this town?" Apple Bloom asked her hosts.

"Don't worry." Kevin assured. "You'll know you're near a Jackbox environment. Don't forget the daily challenge."

"Today's challenge is the art auction game, Bidiots." Amy informed. "Probably somewhere near a museum."

Apple Bloom nodded and went out the door. The farm girl looks around the town. It looks peaceful and quiet. Then, she saw two familiar sights. It was Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon outside what looks like an art museum. The two prissy girls saw her coming.

"Hello, Apple Bloom." Diamond Tiara greeted. "I heard you were sent here."

"Good to see ya too, DT." Apple Bloom replied. "Waiting for the museum to open?"

"Sort of. This is where the game, Bidiots, is taking place."

Just then, Apple Bloom were tackled from behind. It turned out to be Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo in a dog pile.

"Did you miss us?" Scootaloo asked.

Apple Bloom got up and recovered. "I sure do." She then see her cousin, Babs Seed, coming. "Babs! Good to see you."

"How's it hanging, AB?" Babs replied.

The doors of the museum opened. And, a red haired girl stepped in with six different shaped paddles. "Hi, players. Welcome to the Bidiots auction. I'll give you paddles that match each of you."

The girls are soon given paddles for bidding. Apple Bloom got a red apple, Scootaloo received an orange lightning bolt, Diamond Tiara got a yellow star, Sweetie Belle received a green heart, Babs got a blue arrow, and Silver has a purple cat's head. They soon sat down on chairs as an auctioneer with a curly mustache comes in.

"Hello, friends." The auctioneer said. "This special auction is for the rich and elite. But, these must be end times because somehow, you youngsters sneaked in here." The girls started to giggle. "Anyway, we're going to need some art to auction off. So, each of you will be taken to a room where you will draw two paintings that corresponds to the prompts you'll be given. Now, get sketching!"

Each of the girls are taken to a separate room. They see what they have to draw. So, using their unique art styles, they started sketching. Each of the girls see what they drew. They believed that each is a good design. Fifteen minutes later, each of the girls sat in chairs with their paddles.

"Now that you girls drew your paintings," The auctioneer said, "we can begin. Each of you are given $3,000 to bid on twelve paintings. If you're running low on funds, you can call those sharks from Predatory Loans to borrow $1,000 after each auction, if necessary . But, after the auction, you'll have to pay $1,500 for each time you borrowed from the bank. The one with the most money after all twelve auctions, wins the game."

The auctioneer brings out a painting of a girl recovering from a camera flash.

"That's my drawing." Sweetie thought.

Art Man: Let's start the bidding at $400.

DIAMOND TIARA:Yes please.

BABS: 600!

Art Man: We have 600. Do we have $700?

APPLE BLOOM: Over here.

SILVER SPOON: 900. Sorry, AB.

Art Man: I'm looking for $1,000. Who will give me $1,000?

SCOOTALOO: This Guy!

Art Man: Now, I'm looking for $1,100. Who here has $1,100? Going once, going twice, SOLD!

Scootaloo was happy that she bought a painting.

"Congratulations, Orange." The auctioneer said. "Half of what you purchased for this painting goes to the artist."

Sweetie Belle held up her green paddle. "Thanks, Scootaloo. That adds $500 to my amount.

This painting was then proven to be worth $2,000. The auctioneer was impressed. "Very good, Orange. We'll hold on to this money then add profits from the paintings at the end of the game. Moving on."

As the game goes on, Apple Bloom was concerned with what Diamond and Silver are up to.

"Isn't callin' Predatory Loans risky?" Apple Bloom asked.

"Possibly." Diamond replied. "But, if we play our cards right, one of us will win."

Silver gave a thumbs up. After all twelve pictures were auctioned off the girls looked at their totals. During the process, Diamond Tiara and Sweetie Belle each purchased three paintings. Babs, Silver and Scootaloo each purchased two. But, Apple Bloom didn't purchase one. Everybody else was very quick with those bids.

BABS SEED: $4,150 "I would have to pick low valued stuff!"

APPLE BLOOM: $5,050 "I wish I bought at least one painting."

SCOOTALOO: $5,700 "Not bad for a first timer."

SILVER SPOON: $6,500 "If only one of those paintings were more valuable."

SWEETIE BELLE: $7,250 "WOW! I bought low, and got a big score!"

DIAMOND TIARA: $8,300 "Looks like I'm the winner!"

Then, the Predatory Loans sharks bit off money from Diamond and Silver's score. Diamond called the Bank three times while Silver called twice.
So, Diamond lost $4,500, lowering her to 3,800, and Silver dropped $3,000, lowering her to 3,500. As a result, Sweetie Belle wins. Everybody clapped for her success.

Later, the six girls had some lunch at an outdoor hamburger place.

"I guess Silver and I did go overboard with those calls to the bank." Diamond admitted.

"Hey, it was still fun though." Silver said.

"Yeah. I guess your right."

Apple Bloom is happy to be among friends in this amazing village. If 'Bidiots' was lots of fun, I can't wait to see what the rest of the summer holds for me.
