July 25-You Don't Know Jack 2015
The sun rises to welcome a new day in Jackbox Village. After walking up and finishing her morning routines, Apple Bloom sits with her guardians for breakfast time.
"After everything you've been through over the course of one month," Kevin asked, "any idea what's in store for you today?"
"Nope." Apple Bloom answered as she sipa some orange juice. "But, I'll be ready for anything. Especially with thirty more games to experience."
"That's the spirit! Always be open to what will come your way."
Later, as Apple Bloom helps Olga finish up the house cleaning, they hear a knock on the door. Olga answers the door, and is surprised to see the visitor.
"Dean Cadence." Olga gasped. "What brings you here from Crystal Prep?"
"Actually, it's Apple Bloom I want to talk to." Cadence answered.
This got the farm girl confused. "Why would someone from Crystal Prep want to talk to someone from Canterlot High School?"
"I would like to invite you to join me for a little Jackbox fun."
Olga looked at Apple Bloom with a smile. "Go ahead. You can use some enjoyment."
Apple Bloom agreed, and went with Cadence. But, when she saw Abacus Cinch waiting, she got scared.
"Don't worry, Apple Bloom." Cadence said. "Miss Cinch is on her own path of redemption. That nightmare from the Friendship Games really straightened her out."
"So, what this all about?" Apple Bloom wondered.
"We are meeting Celestia and Luna in the old section of Jackbox Village." Cinch explained. "The four of us are going to engage in You Don't Know Jack 2015."
"You Don't Know Jack? That's trivia, isn't it."
"Correct. I happened to be good with trivia, miss Bloom. And, I would like to see if Celestia, Luna, and Cadence can keep up with me."
"And, you get to see the action." Cadence added.
This is a great way to see how four powerful, but knowledgeable woman compete with each other. "Okay, take me to the trivia battle field."
The three ladies soon made their way to the old section. Apple Bloom remembers her involvement with Drawful and Fibbage. Soon, they see Celestia and Luna waiting for them.
"We're glad you can make it, Abacus." Celestia greeted.
"I hope you two are ready." Cinch replied. "We'll see which of us four can win this battle of trivia."
"Then, let's go in." Luna said. "Mr. Masterson awaits."
As the ladies enter the building, with Apple Bloom behind them, they take their places at respected tables as Apple Bloom sits with an audience. At that moment, Cookie Masterson steps in to address the crowd.
"Hello, everybody." Cookie said. "It's time for a game of You Don't Know Jack! We are very honored to have representatives of Canterlot High School and Crystal Prep joining us." The audience chuckled. "I recognize Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and especially you, Abacus Cinch. I heard you're like a trivia queen in Canterlot."
"That I am, Mr. Masterson." Cinch replies.
"Let's test you out. Our first category is 'Nuts about Nuts'. Casey Webb's greatest Man vs. Food victory is against a sandwich with bacon, blueberry maple jam, and what else? Peanut butter, Almond butter, Hazelnut spread, or Marshmallow Fluff? Gives us your best guess.”
Apple Bloom watches with concern. Soon, Cookie makes an announcement. “Player 3(Celestia), peanut butter makes a perfect companion to jam. But, not in this case."
Celestia got shocked as Cookie continues. "Player 1(Cinch) and Player 4(Luna), you must be fans of Man vs. Food because Almond butter is correct."
Cinch and Luna each got 1,000 points for guessing right. Cadence turned to Celestia. "Trivia was never my strong suit."
As the game continues, Cookie prepared the next question. "Next category: Kid shows Not So Kid Friendly. And, you better be quick because this is a Dis or Dat."
"Dis or Dat?" Apple Bloom gasped. "What's that?"
"Cookie will show the players a title." One of the people in the audience said. "The contestants have to decide if that title belong to one group or another."
"The choices are," Cookie said, "Made for Kids or Made for Grown Ups. You only have a few seconds for each one. GO!"
The four players quickly picked what they thought was the right answer. When it was over, Cadence answered all seven choices correct.
"How did you that so well?" Cinch asked.
"You know I like to be around kids, Miss Cinch." Cadence replied.
"Oops. I forgot."
After two rounds of questions, total of ten, Abacus Cinch is in the lead with Cadence not too behind.
"Let's face it, dearies." Cinch said confidently. "This trivia queen had yet to be dethroned."
"Wait until the final round." Luna informed. "The Jack Attack!"
"Jack Attack?" Apple Bloom gasped.
"That's when players see answers that might fit in with a theme." A girl next to her told her. "Then, if they see the answer, they buzz in quick to collect points."
Cookie Masterson talks in a low voice. "Today's Jack Attack is PROPER CLOTHING. Figure out which character is known for the clothes presented. Good luck."
The players see a swirl. Out comes the phrase, 'Red Trenchcoat and Fedora' Many possible answers came out. Luna guess right. The answer was 'Carmen Sandiego.' Luna was proud of her guess. "One of my favorite characters.”
Many other phrases came out. The four players answered quickly. Apple Bloom got nervous thought this whole final round. The final scores were soon shown. The player with the most points was......Luna.
"Player 4 wins it!" Cookie announced.
Everybody cheered for Luna. Abacus Cinch admitted defeat and shook Luna's hand.
"Congratulations, Luna." Cookie praised. "You truly earned this victory." He then turns to Abacus Cinch. "As for you, Miss Cinch. True, you're good with trivia. But, if you think you'll stay a winner, the audience has this to say."
Then, the whole audience shouted out the four big words....
"YOU DON'T KNOW JACK!"
This shook Abacus Cinch a lot. But, she soon regained her composure. "It's bound to happen to me sooner or later. But, there's always next time."
