Apple Bloom's Jackbox Summer

The sun rises to welcome a new day in the home of the Devil Family. As the family are away on vacation, the Pie Family, along with Mud Briar and Apple Bloom were asked to watch over the house. With her mat rolled out, Apple Bloom did some yoga stretches to start her day. Wearing a green shirt and lime green sleep capris, Limestone comes down and sees the young Apple.

"I was wondering where that nice music was coming from." Limestone said. "You sure take this yoga stuff seriously. Don't you?"

"Good way to start my day." Apple Bloom replied as she goes into Lord of the Dance pose. "And, it's a good way to relax."

"Hmmm. Probably why I saw you in that Lotus pose last night."

Flashback

Limestone came downstairs to grab some water when she saw Apple Bloom in Lotus pose. With the light of the moon shining through the window.

End of Flashback

"Probably a good way to relax before bedtime." Limestone figured.

Later, the family sat down for breakfast. It was a peaceful setting.

"I'm very grateful that the Devil Family left some food for us." Maud said as she took a bite of some eggs. "Probably don't want us to be hungry."

"They may look like nightmares." Pinkie added as she munched on a jelly donut. "But, they're swell folks."

Suddenly, a knock on the door was heard. Cloudy Quartz answered the door. It was the worker from the Demon/Human Relations Program.

"Good morning, Pie Family." The worker greeted.

"Good morning, sir." Cloudy Quartz replied. "We're just having a peaceful breakfast."

"I've come to tell you that it's day two of your mission. Remember not to do much selfish tasks. That will mean trouble for you guys. And, It might get me in trouble with the head Devil."

"Not to worry, sir." Mud Briar called out. "We'll keep the peace."

"That's what I want to here. Well, good luck, folks."

As the worker leaves, the group realized that he made a point. After breakfast was done and the dishes were washed, everybody went back to work. Limestone noticed Pinkie laying down on the couch.

"Taking a nap, Pinkie?" Limestone asked.

"Nothing wrong with relaxing, sis." Pinkie replied. "This is one of the most relaxing couches I ever felt."

"May not be a good idea. That fellow might consider this a selfish act."

"Limestone is right." Marble added as she comes in. "We can't be lazy with this Tiki party being assembled."

Cloudy Quartz comes in to make a suggestion. "How about you and Marble put on your swimsuits and I'll get the sprinklers going."

"Good idea." Pinkie chirped.

Later, in the backyard, Pinkie and Marble were running through the sprinklers with their mother watching them. Meanwhile, Apple Bloom brings in a box, thinking it contains more stuff for the Tiki party. She then sees something in a bush.

"A possum!" Apple Bloom gasped. "It could ruin these decorations and hurt the Pie sisters."

Running in the house, Apple Bloom looked up the number for an animal control place, and made a call. "Hello? I want to report a possum at the Devil Family house. Yes sir. At Jackbox Village."

Soon, animal control workers came and captured the possum. Igneous Rock came and saw the action.

"Excellent work, Apple Bloom." The father of the Pies said. "You may have saved the party, and my daughters for that matter."

Grateful, Pinkie and Marble hugged Apple Bloom. Inside the house, everybody saw some grass skirts in a box.

"What are these grass skirts for?" Mud Briar asked.

"They're for us ladies, Briar." Maud answered. "When this party happens, we girls can perform hula dances."

"Yeah." Limestone added. "Even me."

Apple Bloom came back inside. "Well, the blow up tropical trees are blown up and ready for the party."

Pinkie and Apple Bloom high fived each other. Soon, they heard musical bells outside. It turned out to be an ice cream truck. Igneous Rock gave the farm girl some money.

"Get yourself a frozen treat." Igneous Rock suggested. "You deserve it."

Apple Bloom went out the door and went to the ice cream truck.

"One creamsicle bar please." Apple Bloom said.

"Coming up." The driver replied.

A young boy with blond hair approached the farm girl. "I heard orange sherbet and vanilla ice cream are a good combo. Good idea."

Apple Bloom paid for her treat, and made her way back to the house. Only to notice that the door was locked. "Hey? Who's the wise guy?"

Inside the house, Mud Briar chuckled because he locked the door on her. Maud came along and was not happy. "That was not nice, locking Apple Bloom out like that."

"I'm just having a little fun with her." Mud Briar explained.

"You heard what that man told us. Selfish acts are unacceptable."

Mud Briar realized that his girlfriend is right. He unlocked the door and let Apple Bloom in.

"I apologize, Apple Bloom." Mud Briar said. "I guess I wanted to have some fun."

"That's the kind of fun we can do without." Apple Bloom said as she started to much on her bar.

Later, Igneous Rock put some food on the table with the family gathered. "I figured some Chinese food will be good for us tonight."

"Good suggestion, dear." Cloudy Quartz replied. "Let's dig in."

Everybody was eating peacefully. Apple Bloom and Pinkie Pie we're sharing some ribs. Limestone was having some egg drop soup and the other sisters were munching on some dumplings. Suddenly the devil worker steps in.

"Pardon the interruption." The worker said. "But, I want to congratulate you for a job well done for day two."

"Thank you, sir." Igneous Rock said proudly. "The set up for the Tiki party is coming along nicely."

"I noticed that with the blow up trees. Tomorrow is the last day, you know. The Devil Family will be back to see how well you folks are doing. So, keep up the good work."

The family realized that he was right. Tomorrow might be a true test of their unity.
