Author's Note

Apple Bloom is ready for a cool sounding game. Afterwards, Trixie is prepared for night three.

August 12-Earwax / Monster Seeking Monster night 3

Apple Bloom was at the shopping center doing some looking around. With some of the money she earned from her allowance and helping around the neighborhood, she figured to do a little splurging.

"I heard that the entertainment store has new movies out." Apple Bloom said happily. "Maybe I might find new titles for my collection."

As she goes in the door, she waved hello to Vinyl Scratch, who's checking the new music releases. She then spotted Zephyr Breeze. Seems he's looking for new movies.

"Got over your Hypnotorious experience, Zephyr?" Apple Bloom asked.

"It was different, I'll say that." Zephyr admitted.

Then, a female worker with black hair comes out. Her hair has shades of blue from dark to sky blue.

"Attention, shoppers!" The worker said. "I would like eight of you guys to assemble in the music section."

Apple Bloom, Zephyr, Vinyl, and five others got together as the worker speaks up. "My name is Roxy, and I will be your host for a game of Earwax! Each of you will act as judge for a prompt. Then, the others will need to select two sounds that fit the prompt. Those who are chosen will receive one point. First to three points wins."

"Yo! What happened to that computer that's the usual host?" Zephyr asked.

"Well, M.O.T.H.E.R. needed to be updated. Don't worry, it'll be fine soon. Let's start with you!"

The volunteer turned out to be Coloratura, who's taking a break from performing. She then turns to the crowd. "Friends, the prompt is 'A Perfect Night at the Prom'. Choose your sounds."

Each player has six sounds to choose from. After the sounds were chosen, Coloratura listened to the sound combos. She then made a decision. "Here's the winner of this round."

It was the sound of a loud kiss and sexual moaning. It was Zephyr's combo. Apple Bloom was shocked.

"You earned one point, Zephyr." Coloratura said. "Nice work."

Zephyr blushed. As the game goes on, Vinyl steps up. "Here's a good prompt, gang. What happened during the Stock market crash. Select your sounds!"

The selections were made. The sound that caught Vinyl's attention was Metal crashing and maniacal laughter. She turned to a young man wearing glasses. "Congratulations, Vince. You got one point."

The game goes on. Some of the players have two points. One point to victory. Soon, it was Apple Bloom's turn to judge. "My prompt is 'Hurricane Season at a Forest'. I've seen my fair share of storms at Sweet Apple Acres. Get selecting!"

The selections are being made. Zephyr selected lightning followed by a cow's moo. "That night I saw the movie Twister should do me good."

It was a good choice. But, Apple Bloom chose a woman calling Help and wood breaking. Zephyr realized that was a good combo. "That'll work too."

Suddenly, red lights were flashing. Roxy made an announcement. "Attention! A winner is selected!"

"Somebody got to three points?" Coloratura gasped.

"That's right. The winner is...... Vinyl Scratch!"

Vinyl was surprised that she won. Everybody clapped for her.

"I can't believe that was your sounds I chosen." Apple Bloom said with shock.

"Me neither." Vinyl replied. "My roomie, Octavia, will be proud of me."

"You deserve it, Vinyl." Zephyr added. "You got a good ear for sounds as well as music."

This made Vinyl blush. As Apple Bloom left the store with her movie, she had one thought. "I wonder if Trixie will be this lucky. So far, she has two hearts, considering she successfully dated two nights in a row."

Later that night, she arrived at the haunted house. She soon ran into the Werewolf.

"Howdy, Wolfie." Apple Bloom greeted. "Itching for another date?"

"I hope so." The werewolf answered. "Maybe I'll see if that Trixie chick gets another one."

Apple Bloom was then greeted by Felicia who set up a seat for her. Soon, the hostess turned to the people who are ready for action.

"Ready, friends?" Felicia said. "Message time."

Trixie was talking to a gentleman with a mustache. "Evening, sir. In the mood for a night at the theater?"

"I might." The gentleman answered. "I hear you're a magician. Would you perform during amateur night?"

"I hope so."

"We'll go out together anyway."

The night goes on. As everyone selected dates, Trixie got lucky and dated the gentleman.

"This is some fun." Felicia said. "We're half way through the game." She then pointed to a girl with black hair who dated the werewolf. "You're at the top for now. Let's see what monster you are."

The girl transformed into a giant pea pod. Everybody was shocked. Especially the Werewolf. "Oh no."

The pod opened and a head popped out. It called out it's identity. "🎶BODY SWAPPER!🎶"

Apple Bloom was told by Felicia about this creature. "The Body Swapper can switch the total amount of hearts with whoever it dated. But, only on a full moon."

"Whoa." Apple Bloom gasped. "There was a full moon out when I came here."

"Yeah." The Werewolf sighed. "I had five hearts. And, the body Swapper switched hearts because the moon was out."

"Don't feel bad, Wolfie." The Body Swapper said, still using the voice of the girl it was disguised as. "We still had fun."

"Yeah. I guess your right."

"Well, friends." Felicia told the crowd. "That's it for night three. See you tomorrow night."

Everybody left the house. Apple Bloom waved goodbye to the scaly bodyguard.

"I'm glad you didn't date that Body Swapper, Trixie." Apple Bloom said with relief. "It would probably mess up your plans."

"Don't worry about me." Trixie assured. "I learned how to use my monster identity well. I shall come out victorious!"

"I hope so. Good night, Trixie."

"Nighty night, Apple Bloom. Hope to see you tomorrow night."

As Apple Bloom leaves for her home for the summer, Trixie looks at her phone. She is embracing her monster identity. "As long as I don't get revealed too soon, my planning will continue."

Trixie then heads for her home. There's never a dull moment in Jackbox Village.
