Apple Bloom joins her sister and the other Rainbooms for a little internet challenge.

July 3-Survive the Internet

Apple Bloom was sitting on a bench munching on a sandwich she brought from her summer home. Still getting over her experience aboard the Joke Boat, she wonders what'll happen next.

"I've been in this town for a week so far." Apple Bloom said to herself. "And, I faced a lot of Jackbox challenges. Bidiots, Guesspionage, the Wheel of Enormous Proportions, Champ'd Up, Dodo Re Mi, and recently the Joke Boat. What's waiting fer me today?"

Soon, a pair of orange hands covered her eyes, as a southern girls talked to her. "Guess who."

Apple Bloom recognized that voice. "Is that you, Applejack?"

She turned around, and saw her older sister gently smiling.

"Howdy, sis." Applejack said. "How ya doing?"

"Well, okay, I guess." Apple Bloom said nervously.

"No need to be afraid of me anymore. Rarity and Dash straightened me out after what happened at the Wheel of Enormous Proportions."

This made Apple Bloom feel a little bit better. "So, what brings you to Jackbox Village?"

"I'm meeting my friends over at an Internet cafe." Applejack answered. "How's about joining us?”

This is an opportunity for the Apple sisters to rekindle their relationship. "I guess it couldn't hurt. Lead the way."

Applejack lead her little sister to the shopping center. Outside the internet cafe, Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Sunset Shimmer were waiting for their farmer friend.

"Here comes Applejack now." Rarity said. "And, she brought Apple Bloom with her."

"It's about time Applejack buried the hatched." Sunset Shimmer added.

The Apple sisters approached the group.

"Howdy, girls." Applejack greeted. "Hope y'all don't mind if I bring Apple Bloom with me."

"Not at all." Twilight replied. "It's nice that you two are together again."

This made Apple Bloom smile. Soon, the whole group went in. It wasn't so bad looking. It has a reading area, a place to order food, and of course, computers for internet searches.

"I was going to invite Starlight Glimmer." Sunset Shimmer said. "But, she came down with a cold, and had to stay home."

Then, one of the people in charge of the Internet cafe made an announcement. "Hello, friends. I'm sure glad you came. You eight girls, man your laptops!"

The girls all went to the tables with the laptops. Apple Bloom wondered what's going on. The announcer talked again. “My name is Christopher. And, I'm your host for a game of 'Survive the Internet '!"

The crowd who gathered clapped for the girls and the game.

"We'll do four rounds." Christopher said. "Whoever accumulates the most points after all four rounds, wins the game."

Apple Bloom got nervous. Going on the internet to create Anon-a-Miss started her whole nightmare.

"Let's start things off with Newspaper headlines." Christopher said as he types on his computer. "I'll send each of you a prompt. Answer as honestly as possible."

Apple Bloom's prompt asked 'How do you relax at home?'. She happily types 'Walking barefoot in the cornfield'. She felt very strange. "I wonder who's gonna twist that reply.”

After everyone answered their prompt, Christopher got their attention. "Now, I'll send each of you the responses and you'll have to make up a headline."

The girls typed in the headlines. Apple Bloom saw her response was given the headline 'Girl Escaped Romantic Sheep'. This got her chuckling. "That's a good burn. I'll probably get pity points.”

Suddenly, she heard Rarity's voice. "You did good with your burn, Apple Bloom. I asked for it."

Turns out Rarity's comment, 'I like to Shine in the Morning", was targeted by Apple Bloom's Headline. 'Jewelry Hostess Gets Attention'. But, Rainbow Dash had the best burn in this round. So, she is in the lead. Apple Bloom sees that she's in fourth.

As they move on to the fourth and final round, Christopher is quite pleased with everyone. "You're doing great girls. So far, Rarity is in the lead. Followed by Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, Apple Bloom, Sunset Shimmer, and Fluttershy."

"I guess we're both off our game in this one, Fluttershy." Sunset said. Fluttershy nodded.

"Now, it's time for the last round. You'll have a choice of two pictures. Oh, point values are doubled."

Apple Bloom was given a choice. A sunset or bicycles. She chose the sunset. Minutes later, the girls saw the pictures chosen, and the comments that went with them. Rarity's picture is of people in a mall. She laughed when she saw the caption 'It could've been worse. It could've been Black Friday'. That comment gave the player 600 points. They were all shocked who got the best burn. It turned out to be Apple Bloom.

"Apple Bloom?" Applejack gasped. "That was fantastic."

"It was?" Apple Bloom wondered.

"Indeed it was, darling." Rarity added. "That caption matched my picture perfectly."

Christopher then made an announcement. "The winner of this game is...... Apple Bloom with a score of 1,050!"

The girls applauded Apple Bloom's victory. Applejack gave her a warm hug. Later, they met at an outdoor cafe having something to eat. Sunset and Fluttershy were eating a salad while the others were munching on burgers and pizza. Applejack then raised her glass. "Here's to my sister: Apple Bloom. May the rest of her Summer be full of surprises."

They all raised their glasses. Apple Bloom felt happy that this day went well. Later that night, Apple Bloom slipped on her nightshirt and got ready for bed. She looked at her map of the village, along with notes as to where she had her Jackbox experiences. Like she said, she's been in the village for one week so far. She wonders what the rest of the summer will reveal.

Meanwhile, in Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack slips on a white sleep shirt, knowing that summer time is too hot for her usual onesie. The farmer girl thinks back to what Miss Harshwhinny told her.

Flashback

The Anon-a-Miss incident is the only thing your sister should be known for. Remind her of that dark day in your life and PUNISH HER FOR IT!!!!!!!

End of Flashback

"Sorry, Miss Harshwhinny." Applejack said to herself. "You ain't turning me against my flesh and blood. I realize that now."
