The heroes get a nasty surprise after returning to Seaside Town.

10. The Smithy Gang Strikes Again

Twilight Sparkle and her friends just returned from the sunken ship near Seaside Town. They had a rough time with Konny Bones and his gang of shark pirates. But, Johnny recognized Twilight as a worthy opponent, and handed her the star needed to fix the Star Road. But, as soon as the crew of heroes return to Seaside Town, the Elder and four mushrooms were waiting for them. And, the elder demanns that they give him the star.

"Wait a minute!" Twilight said in shock. "We went through a lot of puzzles on that ship. And, we made peace with the captain of the pirate crew. Why do you demand that we give you this star?"

"Princess Twilight is right." Geno added. "We need this star to repair the Star Road."

"Shut up, sawdust for brains!" The elder said angrily.

This shocked the crew deeply. No elder talks mean like that without a reason.

"Me and these mushrooms represent the Smithy Gang." The 'Elder' said. "And, we will take that star."

"And, if we refuse," Chrysalis said, "then what?"

One of the ekder's followers rushed into a big building. Twilight and her friends can hear somebody laughing hysterically. Seconds later, the mushroom returned to the evil group.

"Now, unless you want us to give another rough tickling," the 'Elder' demanded, "you will give us that star!"

Panicking, Mallow gave up the pink star. "We're sorry, sir Here you are."

The elder took the star, and is very happy. "Smithy will be pleased. And, we'll be rewarded. Come on, gang. Our pick up awaits!"

The group of evil mushrooms left the stra. Mallow felt bad for doing this deed. Geno .went to comfort him.

"Don't feel bad, Mallow." Geno said. "Any of us would do the same."

"I guess you're right." Mallow replied. "Now, what'll we do?"

"Those crooks couldn't have gone too far." Chrysalis said. "Let's pursue them and get that star back."

"Good thinking, Chrysalis." Twilight replied. "Let's get those phonies!"

Twilight lead her crew to capture this elder and his followers. In a clearing, the thieving mushrooms are waiting very impatiently.

"What's keeping our ride?!" The elder said. "We've got to get out of here before those follish heroes catch up to us."

Just as he said that, Twilight and her friends arrived at the scene.

"No one to torture now, pal." Megan said. "Give that star back to us!"

"Try to take it!" Said the elder.

At that moment, a familiar face showed up. "Hello, blokes!"

Everybody was surprised to see Johnathan Bones and a few of his shark pirates.

"Johnny Bones?" The crooked elder gasped.

"That be me, matey." Johnny replied. "That star you have there belongs to Twilight and her friends."

Twilight and her friends are pleased that this shark pirates is helping them.

"You heard him, whoever you are." Twilight said. "Give that star back to us."

"I don't think so." The crook replied. "I have a surprise for all of you. ATTACK FORMATION!"

The four mushrooms spin around the elder. All five started to glow and merged together. When the glowing stopped, out came a metal being wearing a red cape and carrying a large spear.

"What kind of creature is this?" Geno asked.

"I am Speardovich!" The creature said. "I'm a proud member of the Smithy Gang. And, I will keep this star. And, give it to Smithy!"

"Not with us stopping you, spear head." Twilight said. "Battle time!"

Twilight, Mallow, and Geno step up to stop this living spear. Geno unleashed a good ability. "Geno Boost!"

Geno raises Twilight's attack and defense. Using her big hammer, Twilight struck Speardovich. As the evil spear recovers, Mallow unleashed his own move. "Shocker!"

A bolt of lightning hit Speardovich for big damage. As he recovered, the trio unleashed a triple move. "STAR RIDERS!'

Riding on stars, Twilight, Mallow, and Geno unleashed energy on their foe.

"I'm not done yet." Speardovich told them.

He unleashed water spours on the three heroes. Megan saw this and rushed in. Suddenly, magic came from her, and healed the trio. The evil spear was shocked. "What was that?"

"I was so concerned," Megan said, "I wished I can hug all of you to make you three feel better."

"That's a good name for that move." TwilIght said. "Group Hug."

Chrysalis unleashed her Chain Chomp on Speardovich.

"Twilight, Megan, shall we?" Chrysalis said.

Twilight and Megan nodded. Chrysalis transformed into a shell. Twilight kicked the shell as Megan made a star to energize it. The starry shell struck at Speardovich. Seconds later, the evil spear was defeated and Chrysalis changed back to normal.

"With that creep gone," Twilight said, "we have our star back."

Geno nodded and went to the star. "You are safe now. Please, return to the Star Road."

The star went back to the sky. Mallow looked around. "I wonder what happened to Johnny Bones."

"Probably went back to the sea." Megan figured. "I'm just glad he's now on our side."

Twilight looked at a golden key that's on the ground. "Look what else Speardovich dropped."

"I think that's a key to one of the buildings." Chrysalis said. "Probably where that wacko locked up all the people of the village."

"I think you're right, Chrysalis. Let's move out."

After going back to town, Twilight used the key to open a door to one of the buildings. The real elder and the villagers are happy to see our heroes.

"Thank goodness you come." The elder said.

"What happened to you?" Twilight asked.

"After you all went to look at the Sunken Ship, this weird guy came to our village. Then, he used his spear and magic to force us into the building you found us in."

"That creep probably knew we would find the fifth star." Chrysalis said. "And, planned this to seize it."

"I think your right, Chrysalis. Now that we are free, we can get back to our regular lives. Thank you all."

As the villagers went back to their homes and businesses, Twilight thought about their whole adventure with one thought. "I wonder where we'll find star number six."
