Twilight and her friends star exploring the sunken ship, searching for the fifth star.

9. Tangling with Sharks

The crew explored the sunken ship. They hope to find clues to the fifth star Geno is looking for. They see a note that talks of a password to enter another room. Soon, they find themselves in another area of the ship.

"We need to get into these rooms." Twilight said. "These rooms have puzzles that will give us clues to that password."

"But first," Chrysalis added, "we need to defeat these monsters guarding the doors."

"She's right." Megan said, putting on her gloves. "Let's rumble!"

The group battled their way to the puzzle rooms. Each one is unique. Following coins to the end of the path, setting off cannons, finding away up to the top choice f a stack of crates, each room is not easy. Eventually, they found scrolls with clues to the password. They soon found themselves under chests with a J on each of them.

"What is this?" Geno asked.

They then heard a voice coming from a pipe. "Greetings, travelers. I assume you found the clues to the password."

"Yes, we have." Twilight answered.

"Good. All you have to do is arrange letters in order so you can spell out the password. Good luck."

Everybody looked at the chests with confusion. Megan decided to jump under one of the chests. The letter changed from A to E. Megan jumped again, and the letter became a P. Her eyes lit up. "I got it!"

"You have an idea, Megan?" Twilight asked.

"The clues say that there are two vowels, they are found in the sea, and women love them. I think I know what the password is."

Megan jumped on the bottom of the chests, changing letters until they spell out P-E-A-R-L-S. Twilight is surprised. "Of course. The password is PEARLS."

"Makes sense." Chrysalis said. "Pearls are often found in the sea."

The doors open, and the crew walk in. They find themselves in a room with holes in the floor. Suddenly, two tentacles came out.

"There must me a giant squid in here." Mallow said.

"I think we need to get through waves of this squid to battle the main body." Geno figured.

Everybody nodded as Twilight gave the command. "Let's move out!"

Twilight, Mallow, and Geno went ahead to battle the first two tentacles. Twilight brought a super strong hamer. Mallow hpwas given strong gloves to pummel the tentacles. And, Geno has a new powerful blaster. The trio made work of those tentacles.

The crew moved on and encountered two more tentacles. Twilight and Geno had Chrysalis join them. Chrysalis has her chain chomp help her. The three warriors made short work of them. Next up, two more tentacles and the head of the squid. Twilight unleashed a new move, Super Fireball, on the head. This weakened the squid. One they defeated the tentacles, Chrysalis has an idea.

"Geno, move aside." Chrysalis advised. "I have an idea. But, Twilight and I need Megan for this."

Geno stepped aside. Megan joined the fight. Chrysalis used her magic to transform into a shell. Twilight flew up as Megan made a star appear. The star landed on Chrysalis as Twilight did a back kick to the shell. This move hit the head of the squid. After Chrysalis changed back, Twilight gave another fireball hit to the squid. The giant creature fell as the door it guarded opened.

"Well done, my friends." Geno praised. "Now, let's find that star."

Jumping down the hole where the squid was, Twilight and her friends continued exploring the ship. Suddenly, they saw a door in the water. Twilight used her magic so they can breath underwater. Then, they went down a whirlpool. After swimming oast vicious fish, they went through a door. They then jumped back to the surface, only to be jumped by humanoid sharks.

"Hold it there, intruders." One of the sharks said.

"Who are you guys?" Mallow asked.

"We are soldiers of our captain: Johnny!"

Twilight stepped up in front. "Tell this Johnny character that we don't scare so easily."

Twilight fired a bolt from her horn, and scattered the sharks.

"Run!" Another shark said. "This strange pony is too powerful for us!"

The sharks ran. Megan then spoke up. "Follow those sharks!"

The heroes followed the sharks to another room. There, they met a bigger shark wearing a coat and nautical hat.

"I be Johnathan Bones!" The big shark said. "Me and me crew took over this sunken ship. Anything in here is mine!"

Geno then saw a pink star in on the wall next to the captain of this crew.

"That's a star we're looking for." Geno informed. "Hand it over!"

"You want this star?" Johnny Bones said. "You'll have to fight us for it."

Twilight, Mallow, and Chrysalis stepped up to fight the pirates. Twilight's powerful hammer was powerful. Mallow's punches were spot on. And Chrysalis' Chain Chomp bot in to the fight. With the sharks gone, Johnny Bones was alone. Suddenly, Chrysalis rode on a flying clown head with Twilight and Mallow along for the ride.

"I crafted this to honor King Bowser Koopa." Chrysalis said.

The weapons fired on Johnny Bones. The big cannon made a lot of damage.

"You're a worthy opponent, Princess Sparkle." Johnny Bones said. "How about facing me one on one?"

"So be it." Twilight replied.

Twilight and Johnny Bones battled each other. The pirate crew and the crew of heroes watched with concern. Johnny charged with his spear. But, Twilight jumped out of the way. She unleashed her Super Fireball on the vicious shark. He soon surrendered.

"You have bested me, my dear." Johnny Bones said with honor. "The star is yours."

They approached the star. Together, the heroes sent the star in the sky. Now, there are five stars in the air.

"Two more to go." Geno said. "Then, the Star Road is completed."

Chrysalis soon realized that her coat got a bit lighter. "Oh my. I'm no longer full black anymore. Now, I'm as gray as a cloudy day."

"Must be a sign that you are feeling pure friendship." Megan figured.

Chrysalis blushed, knowing she's right. The heroes left the ship and returned to Seaside Town. They were greeted by the elder and a few of his men. But, he said something that made our heroes uneasy. "Princess Twilight Sparkle, GIVE US THAT STAR!"
